alnaijiri: Once again, the Federal Government has demonstrated itself to be shamelessly prejudiced against Muslims of all nationalities. If the defendant here is a non-Muslim or is from a non-Muslim country, he would have only been charged with a weapons charge if any charges at all. But since he's a Muslim, he's given the life-sentence.the charge against one of the three is weapons related, and not on terrorism.it is Nigerian newspapers that have poor skills in journalism or are parroting Israeli reports and claims on this case.both the report of premium times newspaper and the title of this thread are misleading. however the other two suspects that have been freed deserve compensation.both amigo and wonderland have been shut out of business since May this year.and now they have been freed by the court.this case was full of suspicions from the start, especially when it was reported that it had been Israeli mossad agents that interrogated the suspects-more like two enemies using our turf to settle their scores. first it was claimed they are Hezbollah members.now the court says it is not illegal or criminal to be a member of Hezbollah in Nigeria-being that Hezbollah is a political party (that represents a large segment of Lebanon's population in parliament and the cabinet) and a welfare organization in Lebanon which is a friendly country to Nigeria.hezbollah being at odds with Israel doesn't dictate upon our foreign policy as a sovereign nation that we too must shun it and condemn it to hell.it is not done like that.we as a sovereign nation and a foreign policy that takes into consideration Nigeria's interests must maintain neutrality when two other parties we have ties with are at disagreement.we can even play a mediator role instead of taking side with one against the other.of course we were told also that the suspects had weapons.now we see that two are not guilty and only one could have been into illegal arms possession. |

Judge Adeniyi Ademola Adetokunbo freed two other Nigerian-Lebanese, Mustapha Fawaz and Abdallah Thahini, for lack of evidence. November 27, 2013 Takunda Maodza Assistant News Editor SOUTH Africa was under pressure from the Labour regime of British premier Tony Blair to co-operate in a military invasion of Zimbabwe to depose President Mugabe and Zanu-PF, but Pretoria refused, former South African president Cde Thabo Mbeki has revealed.Cde Mbeki made the revelations in an interview with Aljazeera on Saturday, saying the British wanted to replace President Mugabe with their cat’s paw, MDC-T leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, who is on record pledging to violently unseat President Mugabe. The three main British political parties – Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats – mooted the MDC under the ambit of the Westminster Foundation, and have been sponsoring the party since its launch on September 11 1999 in a bid to effect regime change in Zimbabwe, but the move has failed with Zanu-PF’s resounding victory in the harmonised elections touted by executive director of the Royal African Society Richard Dowden as the heaviest defeat for Britain’s Africa policy in 60 years. Speaking on the programme “Talk to Al Jazeera”, Cde Mbeki said: “There is a retired chief of the British Armed Forces (Lord Charles Guthrie) who said he had to withstand pressure from then Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair who was saying to the chief of the British Armed Forces you must work out a military plan so that we can physically remove Robert Mugabe. “We knew that because we had come under the same pressure that we needed to cooperate in some scheme. It was a regime change scheme, even to the point of using military force and we were saying no.” Lord Charles Guthrie was quoted in some sections of the British media as saying he had warned the blundering Blair that it would be suicidal to pit British troops against ‘‘the tried and tested veterans of the Congo,” in apparent reference to the Zimbabwe Defence Forces’ exploits during Operation Sovereign Legitimacy in the DRC that helped repel US-backed Ugandan and Rwandan rebels to usher peace that enabled the DRC to hold its first elections in 45 years. Cde Mbeki, who facilitated inter-party talks that led to the formation of the now defunct inclusive Government made up of Zanu-PF and the MDC formations in 2008, took a swipe at the West for interfering in the domestic affairs of sovereign nations, particularly in Africa and the Middle East in a veiled bid to effect illegal regime change. “Then we said no. You are coming from London you say you don’t like Robert Mugabe for whatever reason, people in London don’t like him we are going to remove him then you are going to put someone else in his place. Why does it become a British responsibility to decide who leads Zimbabwe?” he asked. “We were saying no. Let Zimbabweans sit down. Let them agree what they do with their country. Our task is to make sure we stay with them. We work with them. So, the GPA they signed in 2008 was negotiated by the Zimbabweans. We facilitated. We chaired the meeting and so on, but it was them who negotiated the agreement.” Cde Mbeki said the Syrian crisis and other similar global conflicts could only be resolved through negotiated settlements as opposed to the West’s regime change template. He said the West believes that the Syrian crisis could only be resolved by removing the government of president Bashar al-Assad and warned such an approach was bound to fail. “Let the Syrians get together,” said Mr Mbeki. “We will assist them to get to a solution which sorts out the Syrian thing, no different to a position we took with regards to Zimbabwe. Let Zimbabweans sort out their problem. Let Syrians do the same.” Retired Lieutenant-General Mike Nyambuya described Tony Blair’s military ploy as naive. “It just shows how naive the British are. Zimbabwe is a very unique country that has a crop of soldiers which is very seasoned, well trained and well experienced in fighting wars. Not only do we have people who participated in the liberation struggle, even after independence we fought in Mozambique and participated in peace operations in Somalia and the DRC, among other countries. We have shown that the country does not have a rag-tag army but a professional army that can stand up to anyone including the British. It could have been a miscalculation by the British,” he said. Zimbabwe National War Veterans Association leader Cde Jabulani Sibanda said the British still habour those intentions even today and urged the nation to remain vigilant. “What Mbeki is saying is true. What is happening in North Africa and the Middle East is the same strategy that they want to employ in southern Africa. The only difference is that the strategy has worked in the northern side of the equator judging by the history of coups in North Africa, on the southern side of the equator they have a problem with the strategy because most of the parties that are running governments are former liberation movements and they have been resisting such moves,” he said. Cde Sibanda said Zimbabweans must remain on high alert politically and militarily as the enemy was not giving up on his intentions. Political analyst and Midlands State University lecturer Mr Christopher Gwatidzo yesterday said Mr Mbeki must be applauded by all Zimbabweans for his Pan Africanist values and urged the country to remain vigilant as the West still habours intentions to effect illegal regime change. “He is an example of a Pan Africanist. We must also awaken to reality, the Western world still habours regime change intentions and as we engage them through our foreign policy or through tourism or any other forum, we must always doubt their sincerity. We must not trust them. When on the table with them, we must use a long fork because anything is possible with them.” University of Zimbabwe political scientist Dr Charity Manyeruke slammed the British government for trying to install a puppet regime in Zimbabwe. “Behind the closed doors are big regime change agendas. We are Africans and even if you become friends with the British prime minister you will never become a British. We appreciate a lot of what Mr Mbeki has done.” http://www.herald.co.zw/uk-invasion-plot-exposed/ |
these Igbo clowns must really be uninformed and backward.how can anyone on this earth mistake boko haram or any alqaeda styled group or affiliate for a "Shi'ite/Shia" Islamic movement? in fact these terror groups affiliated with alqaeda are the opposite of the Shi'ites who they deem as "heretics". was this an innocent mistake or Zionist propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of Shi'ite Muslims who have been killed by the thousands in Iraq, pakistan and Syria? I think it is propaganda because Zionist Israel is not happy at the deal Shi'ite iran made with the western countries.boko haram like all the alqaeda family members are part of the salafist/Wahhabi movement,an extremist Sunni Muslim ideology especially hostile to Shia Muslims. Shi'ite is the anglicized word for "Shia". |
Elliotwiz1: it seems you don't get the point. These countries have openly supported terrorists they fund them, arm them e.g Saudi Arabia if they arm them with guns What's stopping them from supplying them nuclear weapons and missiles too?? Did rebels not take over the capital of Somalia? If there were nuclear weapons there do you know the amount of damage they would have caused to neighbouring countries who opposed them? . . . . Humanity is at the verge of extinction now, if these weapons are not controlled, soon humanity will pass away. We'll know about the bomb of Hiroshima and Ngasaki, these two cities were Totally destroyed, imagine that such power is given to the enemies of peace, ''terrorists'' imagine that they have access to biological weapons, atomic bombs, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, just imagine the kind of damage they would cause. This is not the time to take risks, allowing Iran run a nuclear program is a risk. The heart of men is desperately evil, anything is possible and i'm totally behind the US.you are a very stupid person.your hate for muslims and bigotry is what is driving you.you don't have to comment here.stay in your ignorance and read instead. you are grouping both iran and Saudi Arabia into one basket.saudi Arabia is America's ally in the middle east while iran is not.going by your rambling, you have just declared unknowingly that a US ally-Saudi Arabia- is supporting terrorism.you are not here discussing the deal or current politics and alliances.you are here fanning hatred for muslims and airing your phobia for all muslims.the muslim world is not defined by the fears you are expressing.different muslim countries follow different political alliances and strategies.thus you see the terrorism prevailing in Syria is supported by US allies like Saudi Arabia, qatar and turkey, against the government of Assad who is allied with Russia and iran.there are obviously many things you do not comprehend. |
President Rouhani: Iran-Sextet N-deal to open new horizons Iran's President Hassan Rouhani Sun Nov 24, 2013 9:11AM GMT Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has hailed the nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany, saying it would “open new horizons”. After more than four days of intense negotiations, Iran and the Sextet, the US, Britain, Russia, France, China and Germany, sealed an interim deal in Geneva on Sunday morning to pave the way for the full resolution of the West’s decade-old dispute with Iran over its nuclear energy program. “Constructive engagement [and] tireless efforts by negotiating teams are to open new horizons,” Rouhani said on Twitter shortly after the announcement. Rouhani added that the deal had been made possible due to “Iranian people’s vote for moderation,” referring to the June presidential election which brought him to power. Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham also thanked the Iranian negotiating team, adding that Iran has always been seeking a win-win deal. “In the nuclear talks, the Islamic Republic of Iran sought balanced steps and a win-win game, which led [Iran’s] nuclear negotiating delegation to the right track,” she said. She expressed hope that the current path will lead to the total lifting of sanctions against Iran and the implementation of Iran’s proposals titled “Closing an Unnecessary Crisis, Opening a New Horizon.” Addressing journalists on Sunday after the announcement of the deal, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran’s right to enrichment has been recognized in the deal. Zarif said that the agreement “covers several important domains, the most important of which is the recognition of the right to enrichment.” He noted that the interim deal is an “important achievement” but a “first step” toward resolving an “unnecessary crisis”, stressing that the two sides need to work together based on “equal footing, mutual respect and common benefits” to settle the dispute over Tehran’s nuclear energy program. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the deal allows Iran to continue its activities at Arak, Fordow and Natanz facilities. The agreement also stipulates that no additional sanctions will be imposed on Tehran over its nuclear energy program. The deal was also welcomed by US President Barack Obama, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Russia, Germany and China. Ayatollah Khamenei praises Iran-Sextet nuclear deal Sun Nov 24, 2013 8:36AM Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has hailed the nuclear deal sealed between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany. Ayatollah Khamenei on Sunday thanked Iran’s negotiating team, describing their achievement as “praiseworthy.” In response to President Hassan Rouhani’s congratulatory message, the Leader said the achievement could serve as a “basis for future prudent measures.” Ayatollah Khamenei called on the Iranian negotiators to continue to resist any excessive demands in the future. In a televised message to the Iranian people, Rouhani also hailed the interim nuclear deal between Iran and the Sextet, saying that a final comprehensive agreement will lead to the removal of all international and unilateral sanctions imposed against Iran. After more than four days of intensive negotiations, Iran and the Sextet - the US, Britain, Russia, France, China and Germany - sealed an interim deal in Geneva in the early hours of Sunday. The agreement paves the way for final resolution of the West’s decade-old dispute with Iran over its nuclear energy program. In the deal, the Sextet has agreed to several measures including enabling the repatriation of an agreed amount of Iranian revenues held abroad and suspending the EU and US sanctions on insurance and transportation of Iran’s crude. The EU and US sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical export, gold and precious metals and auto industry as well as the supply of spare parts for the Iranian airplanes would also be suspended. Furthermore, no new sanctions will be imposed against Iran by the UN Security Council, the EU or US. In return, Iran undertakes measures including capping uranium enrichment to five percent for the duration of six months as stipulated in the agreement. Tehran has also agreed not to advance activities at Natanz, Fordow and Arak facilities and to allow more inspections of its nuclear facilities and further increase its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency as part of confidence-building measures. P5+1 and Iran agree landmark nuclear deal at Geneva talks Published time: November 24, 2013 02:00 Edited time: November 24, 2013 12:37 https://rt.com/files/news/21/40/90/00/iran-historic-nuclear-deal.si.jpg European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton (3rd L) delivers a statement during a ceremony next to British Foreign Secretary William Hague, Germany's Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius (L-R) at the United Nations in Geneva November 24, 2013 (Reuters / Denis Balibouse) The P5+1 world powers and Iran have struck a historic deal on Tehran’s nuclear program at talks in Geneva on Sunday. Ministers overcame the last remaining hurdles to reach agreement, despite strong pressure from Israel and lobby groups. Under the interim agreement, Tehran will be allowed access to $4.2 billion in funds frozen as part of the financial sanctions imposed on Iran over suspicions that its nuclear program is aimed at producing an atomic bomb. As part of the deal Iran has committed to: - Halt uranium enrichment to above 5 per cent. - Dismantle equipment required to enrich above 5 per cent. - Refrain from further enrichment of its 3.5 per cent stockpile. - Dilute its store of 20 per cent-enriched uranium. - Limit the use and installation of its centrifuges. - Cease construction on the Arak nuclear reactor. - Provide IAEA inspectors with daily access to the Natanz and Fordo sites. Iran's foreign minister, Javad Zarif, called the deal a “major success” and said Tehran would expand its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). While Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced that the deal reached in Geneva shows that world powers have recognized Tehran's “nuclear rights.” “Constructive engagement [and] tireless efforts by negotiating teams are to open new horizons,” Rouhani said on Twitter shortly after the announcement. Foreign ministers from the US, Russia, UK, France, China, Germany and the EU hailed the deal as a step toward a “comprehensive solution” to the nuclear standoff between Tehran and the West. The interim deal was reached early Sunday morning in Geneva after some 18 hours of negotiation. “While today's announcement is just a first step, it achieves a great deal,” US President Barack Obama said in a statement at the White House. “For the first time in nearly a decade, we have halted the progress of the Iranian nuclear program, and key parts of the program will be rolled back.” However, Obama said that if Iran fails to keep to its commitments over the next six months, the US will “ratchet up” sanctions. US Secretary of State John Kerry, a key participant in the Geneva talks, said that Iran still had to prove it is not seeking to develop atomic weapons. US Secretary of State John Kerry delivers a speech during a press conference at the CICG (Centre International de Conferences Geneve) after talks over Iran's nuclear programme in Geneva on November 24, 2013. (AFP Photo / Alexander Klein) US Secretary of State John Kerry delivers a speech during a press conference at the CICG (Centre International de Conferences Geneve) after talks over Iran's nuclear programme in Geneva on November 24, 2013. (AFP Photo / Alexander Klein) Tehran has repeatedly denied that it is developing atomic weapons, however, and maintains that its nuclear program is purely for civilian purposes. Uranium enrichment As part of the agreement, the international community has accepted Tehran’s right to a peaceful nuclear program. But after the deal was struck, participants in the Geneva talks put different interpretations on the issue of Iran’s right to enrich uranium. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote on Twitter that the right to enrichment had been recognized in negotiations, and after the deal was clinched Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the deal accepted Tehran’s right to enrich uranium. “This deal means that we agree with the need to recognize Iran's right for peaceful nuclear energy, including the right for enrichment, with an understanding that those questions about the [Iranian nuclear program] that still remain, and the program itself, will be placed under the strictest IAEA control,” Lavrov told journalists. John Kerry had a different spin on the deal, however, telling the media that it did not recognize Tehran’s right to enrich nuclear fuel. “The first step, let me be clear, does not say that Iran has a right to enrich uranium,” Kerry said. Israel has already voiced its opposition to the deal with Iran, claiming it is based on “Iranian deception and self-delusion.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the agreement as a "historic mistake" and said the world had become a more dangerous place. http://rt.com/news/iran-historic-nuclear-deal-201/ |
Associated Press TEHRAN: Hundreds of Iranians including university students and members of the country's Jewish community rallied Tuesday in support of the Islamic Republic's disputed nuclear program on the eve of the resumption of talks with world powers. Iranian state TV showed students gathered at the gate of Fordo enrichment facility, carved into a mountain south of Tehran. They formed a human chain, chanted "Fordo is in our hearts" and denounced the West, which has put pressure on Iran to curb enrichment activity which can be a step toward weapons development. In Tehran, meanwhile, several dozen people identifying themselves as Iranian Jews gathered outside a U.N. building. It was a rare public display by the community, which tends to keep a low profile despite being the largest in the region outside Israel and Turkey. Iran's nuclear program is popular, including among critics of the clerically dominated system, but any major gatherings or demonstrations would need official approval. Iran has long refused to completely give up uranium enrichment, but the level of enrichment has become a key aspect of ongoing Geneva talks schedule to resume later this week. Halting 20 percent enrichment - a level Iran has acknowledged and which is several steps away from weapons-grade material - is a central goal of the West. Iran is concerned about a possible Israeli strike against Fordo or similar facilities. Israel has repeatedly criticized a potential deal between Iran and the world powers, saying it will allow Iran to continue suspect activities. It has also not ruled out military option against Iran's nuclear facilities. The West suspects Iran's nuclear program has a military dimension. Iran says the program is for peaceful purposes like power generation and cancer treatment. http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Middle-East/2013/Nov-19/238329-iranians-rally-in-support-of-nuclear-program.ashx |

Published time: October 07, 2013 12:40 https://rt.com/files/news/20/ac/d0/00/iran-netanyahu-jeans-protest.si.jpg Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu may have sought to induce Iranians in a ‘historic’ interview with the BBC’s Persian service, but a casual claim that people in the Islamic Republic are banned from wearing jeans was one fashion faux pas many could not bear. Recent signs of a thaw in Iranian-US relations sent Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on a ‘media blitz’, telling the world not to be fooled by Iran. When addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, he warned that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is a "wolf in sheep's clothing" dead set on advancing the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program despite overtures to the contrary. But while the perennial threat of unilateral military action remained the stick in Netanyahu’s PR offensive, his decision to directly address the Iranian people for the first time ever via a Persian-speaking media outlet was viewed as the carrot in his repertoire. Netanyahu’s chosen venue: BBC Persian, which some 12 million Iranians reportedly tune into each week. Writing for Haaretz, Barak Ravid noted that the Israeli PM has railed against the Iranian nuclear threat for 18 years, but only now “found it appropriate to address the Iranian people or try to speak to Iran over the ayatollahs’ heads.” Netanyahu’s hopes to appeal to young Persians by evoking the death of Neda Agha-Soltan during the 2009 Iranian election protests while discussing the need for an end to the country’s uranium enrichment program might have been a deft maneuver in normal circumstances. One comment, however, displayed not just how out of touch Netanyahu is with the average Iranian, but an apparent obliviousness to how the country’s internet-savvy and fashion-conscious youth would respond. "I think if the Iranian people had freedom, they would wear jeans, listen to Western music, and have free elections," Netanyahu said in the interview, which was dubbed into Farsi and released late on Saturday. In one fell swoop, Netanyahu incited anger among the young, liberal demographic which was likely to have voted for President Rouhani en masse in the last election and would have otherwise been amenable to the Israeli PM’s message. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BV6brLTIQAA7IqZ.jpg While many young Persians may have been open to Netanyahu’s overtures, one slip of the tongue ensured that in an interview which had been heavily marketed, style would prevail over substance. Dozens of Iranians published pictures of themselves on Sunday donning denim and annotated with sarcastic barbs directed Netanyahu’s way as part of the so-called ‘jeans protest.’ Twitter, which is blocked by the Iranian government but is routinely accessed via virtual private networks, became the primary outlet for Iranian youths to bash the Israeli PM for his less-than-astute comments. “2day I’m wearing jeans, I can send my photo 4 Netanyahu if his spies in Iran didn’t see people who wear jeans and listen to Western songs by their iPhone!” Sadegh Ghorbani, a young journalist from Tehran, posted on Twitter. Mohamad Nezamabadi, a student at Tehran University, was equally derisory. “Not only we wear jeans, but also listen to the foreign language musics [sic]! I bet he thinks that we ride horses instead of cars!” he tweeted. But perhaps the coup de grâce was a picture of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei next to an Iranian boy in jeans. While women in Iran are required to cover their hair and wear loose clothing in public, jeans are not forbidden. Western music for its part is illegal, though peer-to-peer file sharing, there, as everywhere, has the average Iranian teen plugged in directly to worldwide trends. Others used the opportunity to open a deeper political dialogue on the bone of contention between the two states. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BV-Lom9CQAAJatF.jpg “When @netanyahu doesn't know about what Iranians wear, how does he dare to talk about Iran's Nuclear Program? #IranJeans,” Ali Shahri wrote on Twitter. “#Netanyahu has no idea what ppl in #IRAN do in public; how he can be so sure he has accurate info of what's going on in secret N bunkers?” Mehrzad Kohanrouz tweeted in a similar vein. As noted by Ravid, “if Netanyahu is interested in contemporary fashion in Teheran, he can enter an album titled "Tehran Street Style" on the image-sharing website Imgur. Apart from the head covering, any one of the young people there could easily blend in on the streets of Tel Aviv.” Netanyahu also noted that the people of Iran and Israel had a "deep friendship into modern times" whose destruction he blamed on the theocratic government in Tehran. He criticized the censorship of social media and satellite channels inside Iran as well as the government's treatment of women and gay people. "This is not what the Persian people deserve," Netanyahu said. "I would welcome a genuine rapprochement, a genuine effort to stop the nuclear program – not a fake one. Not 'harfe pooch'," Netanyahu said, which can be roughly translated as "empty words" or “nonsense”. While many young Persians may have been open to Netanyahu’s overtures, one slip of the tongue ensured that in an interview which had been heavily marketed, style would prevail over substance. http://rt.com/news/iran-netanyahu-jeans-protest-837/ |
Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad says he is ready for a planned international peace conference on the crisis in his country but stresses that he will not negotiate with terrorists. “We don't have conditions except that we reject to negotiate with terrorists” unless they lay down their arms and condemn calls for a foreign military strike against Syria, Assad said in an interview with the state-run Tishreen newspaper. “The main condition is that the solution should be a Syrian one and the dialogue is political ... but if the dialogue was with weapons so why would we go to Geneva?” he said. Assad pointed out that the biggest victory for Syria could be achieved by overcoming the foreign-backed militancy, saying, “Yes, we can achieve this victory ... and the first and bigger victory today is for us to eliminate the terrorists.” "What is important is to believe in this victory ... when faith exists inside all of us that we are capable of achieving victory, certainly we would achieve that victory,” he added. Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to the UN, more than 100,000 people have been killed and a total of 7.8 million of others displaced due to the violence. On May 7, Russia and the US agreed to convene an international conference on Syria which is likely to be held in Geneva in mid-November. The event will serve as a follow-up to an earlier Geneva meeting held in June 2012. However, the date of the event keeps slipping as Syria’s foreign-backed opposition coalition remains divided over taking part in the second round of Geneva talks. They have repeatedly refused to take part in the conference unless Assad steps down. ASH/HMV http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/10/06/327879/syria-ready-for-geneva-ii-talks-assad/ |
1. President Obama’s opening lines at the U.N. on Tuesday looked down on people who would think to settle disputes with war. Obama was disingenuously avoiding the fact that earlier this month he sought to drop missiles into a country to “send a message” but was blocked by the U.S. Congress, the U.N., the nations of the world, and popular opposition — after which Obama arrived at diplomacy as a last resort. 2. “It took the awful carnage of two world wars to shift our thinking.” Actually, it took one. The second resulted in a half-step backwards in “our thinking.” The Kellogg-Briand Pact banned all war. The U.N. Charter re-legalized wars purporting to be either defensive or U.N.-authorized. 3. “[P]eople are being lifted out of poverty,” Obama said, crediting actions by himself and others in response to the economic crash of five years ago. But downward global trends in poverty are steady and long pre-date Obama’s entry into politics. And such a trend does not exist in the U.S. 4. “Together, we have also worked to end a decade of war,” Obama said. In reality, Obama pushed Iraq hard to allow that occupation to continue, and was rejected just as Congress rejected his missiles-for-Syria proposal. Obama expanded the war on Afghanistan. Obama expanded, after essentially creating, drone wars. Obama has increased global U.S. troop presence, global U.S. weapons sales, and the size of the world’s largest military. He’s put “special” forces into many countries, waged a war on Libya, and pushed for an attack on Syria. How does all of this “end a decade of war”? And how did his predecessor get a decade in office anyway? 5. “Next year, an international coalition will end its war in Afghanistan, having achieved its mission of dismantling the core of al Qaeda that attacked us on 9/11.” In reality, Bruce Riedel, who coordinated a review of Afghanistan policy for President Obama said, “The pressure we’ve put on [jihadist forces] in the past year has also drawn them together, meaning that the network of alliances is growing stronger not weaker.” (New York Times, May 9, 2010.) 6. “We have limited the use of drones.” Bush drone strikes in Pakistan: 51. Obama drone strikes in Pakistan: 323. 7. “… so they target only those who pose a continuing, imminent threat to the United States where capture is not feasible.” On June 7, 2013, Yemeni tribal leader Saleh Bin Fareed told Democracy Nowthat Anwar al Awlaki could have been turned over and put on trial, but “they never asked us.” In numerous other cases it is evident that drone strike victims could have been arrested if that avenue had ever been attempted. A memorable example was the November 2011 drone killing in Pakistan of 16-year-old Tariq Aziz, days after he’d attended an anti-drone meeting in the capital, where he might easily have been arrested — had he been charged with some crime. This weeks drone victims, like all the others, had never been indicted or their arrest sought. 8. “… and there is a near certainty of no civilian casualties.” There are hundreds of confirmed civilian dead from U.S. drones, something the Obama administration seems inclined to keep as quiet as possible. 9. “And the potential spread of weapons of mass destruction casts a shadow over the pursuit of peace.” In reality, President Obama is not pursuing peace or the control of such weapons or their reduction and elimination in all countries, only particular countries. And the United States remains the top possessor of weapons of mass destruction and the top supplier of weapons to the world. 10. “[In Syria, P]eaceful protests against an authoritarian regime were met with repression and slaughter. … America and others have worked to bolster the moderate opposition.” In fact, the United States has armed a violent opposition intent on waging war and heavily influenced if not dominated by foreign fighters and fanatics. 11. “[T]he regime used chemical weapons in an attack that killed more than 1,000 people, including hundreds of children.” Maybe, but where’s the evidence? Even Colin Powell brought (faked) evidence. 12. “How should we respond to conflicts in the Middle East?” This suggests that the United States isn’tcausing conflicts in the Middle East or aggravating them prior to altering its position and “responding.” In fact, arming and supporting brutal governments in Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Israel, etc., is behavior that could do a great deal of good simply by ceasing. 13. “How do we address the choice of standing callously by while children are subjected to nerve gas, or embroiling ourselves in someone else’s civil war?” That isn’t a complete list of choices, as Obama discovered when Russia called Kerry’s bluff and diplomacy became a choice, just as disarmament and de-escalation and pressure for a ceasefire are choices. Telling Saudi Arabia “Stop arming the war in Syria or no more cluster bombs for you,” is a choice. 14. “What is the role of force in resolving disputes that threaten the stability of the region and undermine all basic standards of civilized conduct?” Force doesn’t have a role in civilized conduct, the most basic standard of which is relations without the use of force. 15. “[T]he international community must enforce the ban on chemical weapons.” Except against Israel or the United States. 16. “… and Iranians poisoned in the many tens of thousands.” This was good of Obama to recognize Iran’s suffering, but it would have been better of him to recall where Iraq acquired some of its weapons of mass destruction. 17. “It is an insult to human reason — and to the legitimacy of this institution — to suggest that anyone other than the regime carried out this attack.” Really? In the absence of evidence, skepticism isn’t reasonable for this Colin-Powelled institution, the same U.N. that was told Libya would be a rescue and watched it become a war aimed at illegally overthrowing a government? Trust us? 18. “Now, there must be a strong Security Council Resolution to verify that the Assad regime is keeping its commitments, and there must be consequences if they fail to do so.” Meaning war? What about the U.N.’s commitment to oppose war? What about the United States’ violation of its commitments to destroy the chemical weapons sitting in Kentucky and Colorado? “Consequences” for the U.S. too? 19. “I do not believe that military action — by those within Syria, or by external powers — can achieve a lasting peace.” Yet, the U.S. government is shipping weapons into that action. 20. “Nor do I believe that America or any nation should determine who will lead Syria … Nevertheless, a leader who slaughtered his citizens and gassed children to death cannot regain the legitimacy to lead a badly fractured country.” The Syrians should decide their own fate as long as they decide it the way I tell them to. 21. “[N]or does America have any interest in Syria beyond the well-being of its people, the stability of its neighbors, the elimination of chemical weapons, and ensuring it does not become a safe-haven for terrorists.” That’s funny. Elsewhere, you’ve said that weakening Syria would weaken Iran. 22. “[W]e will be providing an additional $340 million [for aid].” And vastly more for weapons. 23. “We will ensure the free flow of energy from the region to the world. Although America is steadily reducing our own dependence on imported oil…” That first remarkably honest sentence is only honest if you don’t think about what “free flow” means. The second sentence points to a real, if slow, trend but obscures the fact that only 40% of the oil the U.S. uses comes from the U.S., which doesn’t count much of the oil the U.S. military uses while “ensuring the free flow.” Nor is switching to small domestic supplies a long-term solution as switching to sustainable energy would be. 24. “But when it’s necessary to defend the United States against terrorist attacks, we will take direct action.” In Libya? Syria? Where does this make any sense, as U.S. actions generate rather than eliminate terrorism? Michael Boyle, part of Obama’s counter-terrorism group during his 2008 election campaign, says the use of drones is having “adverse strategic effects that have not been properly weighed against the tactical gains associated with killing terrorists … . The vast increase in the number of deaths of low-ranking operatives has deepened political resistance to the US programme in Pakistan, Yemen and other countries.” (The Guardian, January 7, 2013.) Why is Canada not obliged to bomb the world to “defend against terrorist attacks”? 25. “Just as we consider the use of chemical weapons in Syria to be a threat to our own national security …” We who? How? Congress just rejected this ludicrous claim. Ninety percent of this country laughed at it. 26. “[W]e reject the development of nuclear weapons that could trigger a nuclear arms race in the region, and undermine the global non-proliferation regime.” By Israel which has done this, or by Iran which all evidence suggests has not? 27. “We deeply believe it is in our interest to see a Middle East and North Africa that is peaceful and prosperous,” we just choose to work against that deep belief and to sell or give vast quantities of weapons to brutal dictatorships and monarchies. 28. “Iraq shows us that democracy cannot be imposed by force.” This could have been true had the U.S. attempted to impose democracy. 29. “Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.” Iran’s what? 30. “Arab-Israeli conflict.” That’s a misleading way of naming the conflict between the government of Israel and the people it ethnically cleanses, occupies, and abuses — including with chemical weapons. 31. “[A]n Iranian government that has … threatened our ally Israel with destruction.” It hasn’t. And piling up the lies about Iran will make Iran less eager to talk. Just watch. 32. “We are not seeking regime change.” That’s not what Kerry told Congress, in between telling Congress just the opposite. Also, see above in this same speech: “a leader who slaughtered his citizens and gassed children to death cannot regain the legitimacy….” 33. “We insist that the Iranian government meet its responsibilities under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and UN Security Council resolutions.” Among Iran, the U.S., and Israel, it’s Iran that seems to be complying. 34. “We are encouraged that President Rouhani received from the Iranian people a mandate to pursue a more moderate course.” More moderate than what? Threatening to destroy Israel and creating nukes? 35. “[T]heir own sovereign state.” There’s nowhere left for Palestine to create such a separate state. 36. “Israel’s security as a Jewish and democratic state.” Both, huh? 37. “When peaceful transitions began in Tunisia and Egypt … we chose to support those who called for change” … the minute everyone else was dead, exiled, or imprisoned. 38. “[T]rue democracy as requiring a respect for minority rights, the rule of law, freedom of speech and assembly, and a strong civil society. That remains our interest today.” Just not in our own country and certainly not in places that buy some of the biggest piles of our weapons. 39. “But we will not stop asserting principles that are consistent with our ideals, whether that means opposing the use of violence as a means of suppressing dissent,” and if you don’t believe me, ask the Occupy movement — Happy Second Birthday, you guys! I SHUT YOU DOWN, bwa ha ha ha ha. 40. “This includes efforts to resolve sectarian tensions that continue to surface in places like Iraq, Syria and Bahrain.” One liberated, one targeted, and one provided with support and weaponry and former U.S. police chiefs to lead the skull cracking. 41. “[A] vacuum of leadership that no other nation is ready to fill.” All criminal outrages should have a vacuum of leadership. “Who would bomb countries if we don’t do it?” is the wrong question. 42. “Some may disagree, but I believe that America is exceptional — in part because we have shown a willingness, through the sacrifice of blood and treasure, to stand up not only for our own narrow self-interest, but for the interests of all.” When was that? The United States certainly comes in at far less than exceptional in terms of per-capita humanitarian aid. Its humanitarian bombing that Obama has in mind, but it’s never benefitted humanity. 43. “And in Libya, when the Security Council provided a mandate to protect civilians, America joined a coalition that took action. Because of what we did there, countless lives were saved, and a tyrant could not kill his way back to power.” The White House claimed that Gaddafi had threated to massacre the people of Benghazi with “no mercy,” but the New York Times reported that Gaddafi’s threat was directed at rebel fighters, not civilians, and that Gaddafi promised amnesty for those “who throw their weapons away.” Gaddafi also offered to allow rebel fighters to escape to Egypt if they preferred not to fight to the death. Yet President Obama warned of imminent genocide. What Gaddafi really threatened fits with his past behavior. There were other opportunities for massacres had he wished to commit massacres, in Zawiya, Misurata, or Ajdabiya. He did not do so. After extensive fighting in Misurata, a report by Human Rights Watch made clear that Gaddafi had targeted fighters, not civilians. Of 400,000 people in Misurata, 257 died in two months of fighting. Out of 949 wounded, less than 3 percent were women. More likely than genocide was defeat for the rebels, the same rebels who warned Western media of the looming genocide, the same rebels who the New York Times said “feel no loyalty to the truth in shaping their propaganda” and who were “making vastly inflated claims of [Gaddafi's] barbaric behavior.” The result of NATO joining the war was probably more killing, not less. It certainly extended a war that looked likely to end soon with a victory for Gaddafi. 44. “Libya would now be engulfed in civil war and bloodshed.” No, the war was ending, and Libya ISengulfed in bloodshed. In March 2011, the African Union had a plan for peace in Libya but was prevented by NATO, through the creation of a “no fly” zone and the initiation of bombing, to travel to Libya to discuss it. In April, the African Union was able to discuss its plan with Libyan President Muammar al-Gaddafi, and he expressed his agreement. NATO, which had obtained a U.N. authorization to protect Libyans alleged to be in danger but no authorization to continue bombing the country or to overthrow the government, continued bombing the country and overthrowing the government. 45. [S]overeignty cannot be a shield for tyrants to commit wanton murder.” Says a man who reads through a list of potential murder victims on Tuesdays and ticks off the ones he wants murdered. http://www.globalresearch.ca/top-45-lies-in-obamas-speech-at-un/5351432 |
Date: Tue, 24 Sep 2013 From: MEND Subject: Apo Killings To: chiefoyibo@oyibosonline.com; Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) condemns the recent extrajudicial killings of squatters and injuries to several others in the Apo district of Abuja by a team of unprofessional government security forces whom the spokeswoman for the State Security Service (SSS), Ms Marilyn Ogar, branded as Boko Haram terrorists in her statement filled with lies and fabrication. The recent revelation from credible security sources of a plot to plant weapons in the uncompleted building as evidence, confirms the same action carried out by the same spokeswoman, Marylyn Ogar after our October 01, 2010 twin car bomb blasts in Abuja, in which she announced that a thorough investigation revealed that the car bombs were detonated by mobile phones. They later contradicted themselves in a South African High Court during Henry Okah’s sham trial when another State Security Service operative testified that the same car bombs were detonated by timing mechanisms supplied by Mr Charles Okah. Other false and misleading statements made by Ms Marylyn Ogar after our October 01, 2010 twin bomb blasts to hoodwink Nigerians and the world was that the perpetrators were captured on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) which the world is yet to see. The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) were equally astonished after our October 01, 2010 twin bomb blasts to see that critiques and political opponents of Goodluck Jonathan which included Former Head of State and 2011 Presidential Aspirant, General Ibrahim Babangida, Chief Raymond Dokpesi Mallam Nasir El Rufai and the Okah brothers were either falsely accused or arrested as accomplices or perpetrators. Following in the footsteps of former despot Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire who branded his opponents as “Communists”, a label guaranteed to make the United Sates government turn a blind eye to his human rights atrocities, the same is happening in Nigeria today where the trending name of “Terrorists” and “Terrorism” is enough for Nigerians not to pay attention to deceit, human rights abuses, setups, wrongful arrests and detention, sham trials and extrajudicial killings. The rudderless Ship of State is drifting deeper and deeper into an enveloping forge of lies told by government functionaries whose careers would be destroyed by the truth. this is the same McCain that illegal entered Syria and posed for a picture with alqaeda Wahhabi fighters. his own country (the united states) have been supporting alqaeda and extremist rebel fighters in Syria.putin rightly pointed out to the incident whereby a rebel fighter cut open the chest of a slain Syrian soldier and literally ate his raw pounding heart!!! the video is on youtube.the US is supporting cannibals in Syria to oust the legitimate government of another sovereign state.this is the same policy America's puppets in the middle east like Saudi Arabia, turkey and Qatar are pushing.just few days ago the Israeli ambassador to the US said Israel would prefer the victory of alqaeda wahhabi fighters over that of bashar al-assad and the Iranian Shia alliance.this is sick when McCain's own country is sponsoring terrorism in Syria, and yet he blames assad for fighting against brutal cannibals who want to oust him in the name of supporting "freedom".does alqaeda represent freedom? since when? putin made his case against unilateral US strike on Syria and the idea of American exceptionalism which Obama advocated. trying to pick faults at putin is silly.the American economy is not in good shape.and if America is free and caring for its citizens why did Edward snow seek refuge in Russia and Obama wanted him extradited? what of Julian assange who is still trapped in the Ecuadorian embassy in London? talking about the "select few" in Russia controlling things in Russia, has McCain forgot the facts that the jewish lobby (AIPAC) and the multi-billion co-operations in the US-many of which are jewish owned-are the entities controlling US foreign relations and politics? this old warmonger should go to sleep. |
karpentar: After over two years of massacre leaving not less than 100,000 Syrians dead, it's now that someone is calling for fasting and prayer for Syria. Hezbollah, on several occasions openly supports and fights for murderous Assad government and there was no need for fasting and prayer. Just recently, Assad gassed his own people (including women and children) to death, the pope didn't request for fasting and prayer. Now Obama is spearheading a rescue mission to free Syrians from blood thirsty Assad and we are being asked to fast and pray against that? What a hypocritical world we live.you are very ignorant of the facts. firstly, the most recent statistics conducted from assad's external foes-Qatar,turkey and the USA-reveal that the majority of the Syrian people support their president, bashar al-assad. secondly, there is no evidence it was assad and not the western backed rebels and alqaeda Wahhabi/salafist terrorists that used the chemical weapon. thirdly, had the majority of Syrians and the army not support their president, we would have long witnessed what happened to Mubarak and ben ali. fourthly, russia, china, iran and Lebanon (Hezbollah) stand by assad; and that could spell grave danger to world peace if the US,a country that have used chemical weapons in Vietnam and Iraq, go solo to attack Syria outside UN security council approval.the US action would spell doom for world peace and a grave challenge to the UN establishment. fifthly, the pope is calling for prayers because there is no international consensus for an attack on Syria.if the united states goes ahead to attack unilaterally, then that is aggression and the UN must act against the USA for attacking another sovereign country. russia's putin have already voiced military support for assad and has sent warships to the Mediterranean.so there is every reason for everyone to pray that Obama does not follow extremists in his administration to attack. sixthly, assad's government is the legal representative of the Syrian people, whether the United states and Israel like it or not,and assad is the head of a sovereign nation. Shi'ite muslim Hezbollah from Lebanon intervened to support an head of state against foreign/western backed alqaeda Wahhabi terrorists who infiltrated Syria from turkey illegally. your friend, Obama, in this Syria case is the oppressor, aggressor and sponsor of terrorists to please Israel, because assad and iran backed Hezbollah in Lebanon defeated Israel in the 2006 Lebanon war and ever since then Lebanon became untouchable for Israel and off limit for Israeli strikes and violations of Lebanon's sovereignty. since Israel has had only besieged gaza to use as punching bag. seventhly, the united states as a country that have unilaterally attacked and gassed other countries have no moral high ground to intervene in Syria, even if it is proven that it was assad that used chemical weapons.therefore let the UN act. eighthly, since the conflict started, over 100,000 people have died and Obama didn't see need to attack. now about 1000 died and he wanted to attack because they were killed with chemical weapon.so going by the logic at play here,it is okay for 100,000 people to be killed with guns and bombs but not a thousand with chemicals. ninthly, if Obama cares about the Syrian people, he and his allies (Saudi Arabia, qatar, israel, turkey, britain and france) should stop sending in weapons and extremists Wahhabi/salafist terrorists from all over the world to destroy Syria, and should please leave the Syrian people in peace to decide their future on their own. tenthly, the Christians of Syria do support bashar al-assad because he is moderate and secular, british educated and nationalistic, who governs his subjects not based on religious discrimination as the extremists Obama is supporting treat people. yesterday a Christian village in Syria, called Maa'loula (the only place in the world where the inhabitatnts are aramaic speaking;aramaic was the language Jesus spoke), was attacked by the Wahhabi/salafist terrorists Obama supports.they burnt historical churches and chanted anti-Christian slogans, calling Christians "cross worshippers", "crusaders" and "pigs". that village is one of the oldest Christian habitation in the world, since Syrian Christians are the oldest Christian communities in the world.prominent figures from around the world had to ask assad's Syrian army to quickly rush to regain control of the village and drive out the terrorists Obama supports.see: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23986076 and finally,i will leave you with this video in case you are not convinced with my ten points for you to further reconsider and think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x_vusWz33c |

this is another example of misinformation by the press.they title a story wrongly to stir sentiments and cause drama.and the OP who started this thread also dishonestly only posted the top part of the report and left the remaining part.please read from the link the OP presented what is written by Punch newspaper: "When contacted, the Prisons Public Relations Officer, Ope Fatinikun, claimed that the protest had nothing to do with the Lebanese inmates. He added that it was caused by two groups struggling to use a particular place for the Eid-fitri worship. “I don’t want to give anybody names, but the incident was caused by two groups (of inmates) who wanted to use a particular place for their prayers; but the situation has been brought under control. We talked to them and they saw reason with us, “he said. IF THE "PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT" IS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE RIOT,THEN WHY HEADLINE IT AS SUCH? IN OTHER COUNTRIES SUCH REPORTING THAT IS UNPROFESSIONAL CAN GET LAW SUITS FILED AGAINST THE NEWSPAPER. besides, those suspects are not yet found guilty and they hold Nigerian passports.they are citizens of Nigeria.it was a shame that last week we read that the MOSSAD agents (who are infamous for ethnic-cleansing and bulldozing houses of Palestinians, and extra-judicial killings making Israel a terrorist regime and the MOSSAD terrorist agents) were in Nigeria interrogating Nigerian passport holders, and it was not done in the presence of Nigerian security officials.that is a blatant violation of Nigeria's sovereignty and the right of Nigerian citizens.this report is more or less an attempt to cover up and stir sentiments.this is garbage journalism by Punch Newspaper and whichever newspaper is making such unprofessional reports for whatever reason, excuse or motive. |
Armageddon watch over Syria Thu Aug 8, 2013 3:24AM By Gordon Duff Experts on arms control policy, confirmed by multiple independent sources, indicate that Syria has been hit, in recent days, by at least four tactical nuclear weapons. In addition, a Syrian Army brigade suffered massive casualties from a Sarin gas attack. Not only are these attacks pushing the world to the brink of war but they coincide with a threat against America “from within,” Pentagon, DHS, AIPAC, drug cartels and key leaders of extremist GOP and Tea Party factions. There is no “Al Qaeda threat,” the whole thing is a deception and cover, which has allowed President Obama to put in place needed defenses against a coup that was only days away. WMD Use in Syria The chemical weapons were traced to the Republic of Georgia and delivered to Israeli-led Al Qaeda forces inside Syria by units of the Turkish Army. Israel, unable to field credible conventional forces, is attempting to destroy the fighting ability of the Syrian Army through attrition, not simply “shock and awe,” but nuclear, chemical and even biological weapons. Crisis Looming Last week, IDF Military Intelligence told their American counterparts that Russia had delivered eight nuclear weapons to Syria as a deterrent to further WMD attacks by Israel. The US contacted Russia though official diplomatic channels. Russia, when asked, denied transferring nuclear weapons to Syria but indicated it had “special weapons” in theatre, with naval and air forces, if their “vital interests” were threatened. Israel then reached out to Saudi Arabia, asking them to promise Russia a payment in excess of $1 trillion to abandon both their interests in Syria and to work to isolate Iran. Russia was told they would receive their payment when they introduced a resolution to the Security Council to enact a “no fly zone” over Syria. Israel and Saudi Arabia received assurances that China would not exercise her veto at the Security Council if Russia either introduced or supported the measure. There has been no leak from Kremlin sources as to the position President Putin will take. Brinksmanship Diplomacy The visit to Israel by General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is an effort on behalf of the Obama administration to curtail what sane voices in Washington see as an attempt to begin a nuclear conflict that would inexorably engulf the planet. President Obama canceled his scheduled meeting with President Putin in Moscow, not over issues of political asylum for Edward Snowden as reported in the press. President Obama is facing a powerful domestic threat, reports of a possible military coup. He will not leave the capitol and has sent those he sees as leaders of that effort to bring down the government, Senators McCain and Graham, to Egypt on a “fishing expedition.” In Egypt, McCain’s crass remarks and unconsidered comments, directly contradicting not just Secretary of State Kerry but angering the Egyptian government, may well undermine McCain’s influence with extremist elements planning to overthrow the US government. “Songbird” McCain may well have plotted his last. On the Ground in Syria Today, a car bomb killed 18 outside Damascus. Al Nusra, the Al Qaeda affiliate trying to topple the governments of Iraq and Syria is credited. However, all intelligence estimates now clearly recognize that Al Nusra is, increasingly, Israeli controlled, particularly after bouts of infighting between factions fighting the government of Syria. Russia spoke out against this attack, citing foreign-backed militants trying to “burn Syria to the ground” in revenge for the lack of support the Syrian people have given toward “regime change.” What Russia hasn’t done is speak out against far more serious attacks on Syria, the use of tactical nuclear weapons by Israel, some believed to be launched from above Golan or Lebanon, some from inside Turkey or from submarines off Syria’s coast. Russia’s lack of a reality-based policy on Syria is as responsible for the current state of affairs as Israeli hubris. Israeli Collapse Israel is desperate, under pressure by the US to come up with a peace plan with the Palestinians who, themselves, now “smell blood” and are unwilling to settle for a smile, handshake and knife in the back as they had before. Israel’s use of nuclear weapons against Syria is far from a demonstration of power, it is a sign of, not just weakness but collapse. Israel is so “forgotten” even the weekly holocaust hand wringing marathons are going unnoticed. The whole idea behind the victimization hysteria that constitutes the social fabric of Israel is failing. Israel’s continually changing scenario, always trying to “brand an evildoer,” is no longer having success with Iran. Iran’s newly seated popular government, progressive by Western standards, makes fear mongering by Netanyahu’s Likudist fanatics less than credible. Background In early May, Israel lost a Dolphin submarine to a Russian built homing torpedo dropped from a Syrian helicopter. Approximately 48 hours later, Israel hit a Syrian command center with a tactical nuclear weapon. Video of the attack, when examined by nuclear weapons experts, led to one conclusion. This was a nuclear weapon. Since then, Israel has lost one F16 with two crewmembers to their S300 air defense system. However, sources indicate that the US, prior to Bush (43) leaving office, had supplied, not only latest variants of Generation III and IV tactical nuclear weapons, yields as low as 10 tons of TNT, some with no residual radiation whatsoever. This has allowed Israel to attack Syria’s “soft targets” using terrain following missiles that can avoid the S300 radars, which are stretched thin. Israel has been applying a “full court press,” using every intelligence asset available to defeat the S300 system through tracking the mobile radar and launch systems. However, based on very limited conventional striking power, Israel has only its newfound mini-nukes, Sarin gas and unconfirmed use of bio-toxins to lash out with. Official sources concurred and in an interview with Colonel Jim Hanke, former Defense Attaché to Israel, it was revealed that Israel has long prepared for such attacks on Syria, even to the point of carefully mapping target sites in reference to fault lines that lead into Israel. Were a nuclear weapon or massive penetrator/bunker-buster to be used carelessly, it could spread massive earthquakes across Israel. Nuclear Confirmations On August 1, 2013, Israel attacked what they called a “large weapons cache” outside Homs. In many ways, the attack resembled the Qasyoon mountain attack in early May, an attack that was confirmed to be nuclear, a full mushroom cloud with requisite “ball lightning.” The Homs explosion was said to be both a fuel depot and arms cache. What was observed, however, was a telltale mushroom cloud, a massive shockwave and an explosion that no munitions expert would ever consider a “secondary blast.” From an August 5, 2013 article by Jon Snow, posted on the UK Channel 4 blog: “But the two explosions in Homs and Qasyoon share the same property: They are both above ground airbursts according to Greg Thielmann, an expert on arms control policy whom I spoke with on Saturday at great length. I was first alerted to the connection by slow twitter chatter right after the bombing in Homs. Needless to say I was shocked at what he told me next: ‘The fact of the matter is, what we are seeing in both these cases is a tactical nuclear strike, probably by cruise missiles launched from aircrafts near the borders of Syria or right off the coast in the Mediterranean.’ But sure, Greg, wouldn’t this mean a nuclear holocaust? Not so he says. ‘Tactical nuclear weapons lower the threshold on use of a nuclear bomb as their modern incarnation can be tuned in yield in order to target military sites using standoff weapons without escalating by destroy surrounding civilian infrastructure.’” Snow’s source, highly credible and knowledgeable, indicated that Israel stood ready to deploy its arsenal of five-megaton thermonuclear weapons against Syria’s cities. Israel believes they are immune to retaliation. Toward that end, Israel has instructed India to begin border clashes with Pakistan and to put its nuclear forces on high alert. Only Pakistan could meet an Israeli attack with an overwhelming nuclear response. It is India’s job to tie Pakistan’s hands. Every base has been covered, the US threatened with coup, the EU financially destroyed, Russia facing an uncertain United States and the chance for a huge financial payday. People have heard about game theory warfare but few knew the real risks. Prodigy246: Fawaz said one of the interrogators identified himself as a Mossad agent. He said they were "crude and nasty." "They handcuffed my hands behind my back for days. I lost count because they did not allow me to sleep for several days," Fawaz said, denying membership in Hezbollah. They can do worse o.mossad ke? I read yesterday in the news how israel arrested an ultra-conservative jew of the naturei karta anti-zionist organization,on the charge he spied for Iran.google and see how the man,who is a jew himself, was rough handled.how much more a non-jew.naturei karta is a jewish organization against israel.check how their members are arrested and maltreated.check how peace activists are maltreated.go and read about Rachel Corrie,an american peace activist that an israeli bull-dozer trampled upon while she was protesting against the demolition of a palestinian home. |
This story reveals the following points: -this is a violation of Nigeria's sovereignty. -israel is a party in the case.therefore it is wrong for Nigerians to take side with one party against the other,if we are to assume that indeed the suspects were planning to attack israeli targets.israel is the eternal enemy of arabs/muslims.you dont get one of the two enemies to interrogate the other party. -the suspects have denied according to this report of having knowledge of the arms discovered in kano.some say it belong to the initial owner of the house who was a military man.not to forget the weapons look rusted and biafra-era weapons. -Nigeria does not regard hezbollah a "terrorist organization".hezbollah, aside from militarily resisting israel's occupation of lebanese land, is a political party in lebanon, with its members elected into lebanon's parliament and appointed in lebanon's government as ministers.hezbollah is well grounded in lebanon's social fabric.it is wrong to make an enemy of another nation out of its political choice. -this case might have been fabricated by the mossad from the onset.after hezbollah intervened in the syrian war to support assad, the syrian president, western countries were annoyed.western countries alongside their middle east allies like saudi arabia, qatar and turkey support alqaeda wahhabi militants (the likes of boko haram) to overthrow assad.hezbollah backed the syrian army to regain control of qusayr,a game changer in the syrian war.immediately after qusayr was captured by the hezbollah-backed syrian army, countries like qatar and saudi arabia-middle east western ally governments- threatened to expel lebanese expatriate workers, and some, it was reported, were expelled as retaliation for hezbollah's interference in syria. -if these men ended up been proved innocent by the court,it would reveal that our security through some of its operatives is infiltrated by the mossad.no country allows a foreign intelligence body to infiltrate it,mossad or no mossad. -this case if the suspects end up innocent could also be politicized internally by the opposition.the opposition can push for an investigation into how the entire case was designed and who permitted the mossad to interrogate suspects in nigeria who end up innocent. -the court has the final say.too much media speculation.one minute it is reported the suspects confessed to the charges and another minute that they have denied.time will tell.the entertainment continues. ![]() |
Israel coming to fight its apartheid war in Nigeria against the people whose lands were confiscated and occupied by Hitler's victims in Europe. |
enigma_otr: What do you think you know about this case? I got my eyes on you. We need you to say your own side of the story at the DSS.You can lick my.... I dont have "my own side of the story".just let the public be informed of the complete story as it unveils in court. |
jpiliya: I though they initial defended themselves saying it was hunting rifles now you defending them that its rusted grenade,RPGs and AK-47 ..... and pls did u say grenades cant be used to bomb down an entire building? The media is contributing to spreading wrong information and misleading the public by reporting confusing stories. The hunting rifles based on what i heard are not those rusted weapons in Kano.the hunting rifles are personal items discovered when amigo was raided in Abuja.but now the media is reporting that the accused said "weapons" were "hunting rifles",making the accused look ridiculous liars.its unfair. |
So now they are no longer charged for illegal rusted weapons and allegedly belonging to Hezbollah,a Lebanese political party that Nigeria have not officially labelled a "terrorist group".they are now charged for "planning to bomb the israeli embassy".and funny enough they didnt know where the embassy is.they had to go to sheraton rooftop to take pictures, after living in Nigeria for decades and one of them holding a Nigerian passport.this is hilarious. ![]() On a second thought,is it rusted grenades and RPGs and AK-47 guns found underneath a house-said to belong to the military official who sold the house to the lebanese-that would be used to bomb an embassy building? Haba! This an abomination to our intelligence.guns and grenades are not used to bomb an entire building. Based on hear-say,i heard that it was american and israeli interrogators that interrogated the lebanese businessmen when they were arrested.where is Nigeria's sovereignty? Why are the israelis and americans bringing their psychological warfare against hezbollah to Nigeria? I think we need to ask the americans and israelis to leave Nigeria, like Cuba,Venezuela and others have done.israel cannot defeat hezbollah in war as the 2006 lebanon war proved.israel cannot launch strikes on lebanon.hezbollah is fighting american backed alqaeda wahhabi fighters in syria, and hezbollah is supporting the syrian president.so the west is targeting lebanese civilians around the world with another form of warfare.please let them sort themselves outside of Nigeria.both parties should leave Nigeria in peace. |
rafhell: Hahaha!! Lol. Just like boko-haram, Muslim Islamist fighters are losing everywhere. They are not "islamist" fighters.they are salafist/wahhabi fighters.it is muslims themselves who are rejecting and resisting them in syria, egypt, nigeria, etc. |

true talk. |
Rafidi :goodness! this woman have caused Islam and Muslims lot of bad publicity. |
drnoel: Since the Nigerian Senate, in its infinate wisdom, has now endorsed the “Paedophile Charter” which seeks to make it lawful and constitutional for a girl of 9 years old to get married and to have sex it is my view that we have now become a nation of perverts and paedophiles. Every Nigerian should bow his or her head in shame as from today because what the Senate did yesterday, and seeks to do in the future, by beginning the process to amend our constitution in order for it to cater for the filthy appetite and godless fantasies of child molestors and sexual predators is sordid, ungodly and unforgiveable. In Iran the age of consent is 16 for girls and 18 for boys.saudi arabia has no age set,but 18 is been considered for girls.Kayode spoke well but he ended up feeding us wrong information about Iran and Saudi based on what he did not verify. |
