Christianity EtcRe: Scientists Explain Their Faith. by ooman(m): 4:19pm On Oct 09, 2013
honeychild: I am not basing my faith on scientists. I started this thread to show that science and faith are not mutually exclusive.
and the evidence you have for that is some deluded scientists right?

its high time you started thinking about who designed the god who designed you.
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 12:21pm On Oct 04, 2013
ledafaze: I can say life is having hope for tomorrow while death is the actuality of that hope. We all live and know that someday, we will die. Some believe that there is a super being called God - the unmoved mover, that nothing is greater than, which is present in understanding and in reality. The one whom nothing is greater than has made us to understand that we need to hope for something which is life after death... even though some say that death is a cycle people go through without knowing it thereby getting purer in every lifetime...

So I believe we all live in hope of what lies ahead of tomorrow and death also lies in the same tomorrow. We all understand that someday we will die and have been seeing it around us even a fool knows that death is something we are all afraid of because even people that commit suicide are afraid of death and are so brave enough to face their fear one and for all.

Most religions have it in their book of knowledge that we should live a very good life worthy of reference but putting that in mind, it helps up in living life afraid of death because this same religion have a glimpse of what is meant by life after death that is being determined by the way we live and by doing, we all try to live a good life in balance with the odds we have made and in turn, we are afraid of death and the homely call.

Scientists have confirmed the life after death as quoted below and we should all be aware of it as well.

So do you now believe WE ALL live each day afraid of dying?
Near Death Experience (NDE) is nothing but a pseudoscience. Its not even science, its just science looking into people's claims. Near death experience is nothing but dreams and hallucinations.

though the question was not asked to you, you replied, but never answered the question.

You offered no definition, you gave gave explanations as told to you as a child.

There can be no such thing as an unmovable movable, nature is dynamic.

Nature does not allow for the existence of gods. There is no god because gods cannot exist.

Reyginus: Lol. What's the secret to this new method of reasoning? You are not trying.
empiricism and verification tongue
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 10:45am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: I guessed you won't give a straightforward answer. Anyways, I don't believe that there is anything like death (strictly speaking). I believe what folks tag "death" is basically a transformation of the human body and spirit.

The body 'dies' when all brain activity as we know it 'stops' but when we take a cursory look, we would realize that the activities of the brain is some form of energy which CANNOT be destroyed. So, no matter how we see it, that activity can only take on a new 'form' and in this sense, it does not really die.
ok now, are you suggesting that energy has consciousness? cos am kinda confused here.

striktlymi: Hmmm...

Before the 'discoveries' would it be reasonable to say that metal can fly?
if it can be verified, if only that tongue
Christianity EtcRe: Did The Earth Steal It's Moon? by ooman(m): 10:36am On Oct 04, 2013
Reyginus: Lol. You don't still get it. You are selecting the ones to accept because you subscribe to its method but rejecting the other because you do not subscribe to it
pretty much yeah, because the other is only a belief system... tongue
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 10:34am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Yeah right! I have seen enough in my 'puny' existence to know that not everything can be shrugged off as mythical.
Like i dont have experiences!! deluded little thing tongue

striktlymi: 1) Can you prove that life is made up of simple matter?
yep, except you wanna tell me bacteria have souls and souls jump into viruses when they get into a host and jump out when not in a host.

striktlymi: 2) I'd like to see you demonstrate that life can be destroyed. Note my usage of life.
just shoot yourself in the head, or put a life cell in fire.
#irritating question

striktlymi: 3) Without energy, will the brain survive?
nope

striktlymi: Wrong!

If I go out with a gal, it's because I choose to. I ask for guidance from God most definitely but I make the decision.
same thing. you get guidance from your white master, whatever slave. I need you to do my laundry..... tongue

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 9:38am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Now you are getting to know the difference between "Create" and "Make" as per my usage. Only God has demonstrated an ability to cause stuff into existence.
Only in myth doe this happen. Nothing comes from nothing, this is your own argument. But now you are telling me a god can come from nothing and make something from nothing? guy, be reasonable.

striktlymi: No I don't! Tell us the relevance.
Simple, it means life is made up of simpler matter. It means life can be broken down, destroyed, whatever, but life is not irreducible, so there cant be an eternal god. only energy is eternal, and its no life at all. tongue

striktlymi: It's a free world pappi...you can take it the way you want.
you know that is right wink cheesy cool
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 9:32am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: That really is me being very reasonable. Now that you mentioned it, what exactly do you think "Reason" is and is it reasonable to say: people die?? If yes, why?
you see, i know you are confused about what life and death is, first you should try to understand what life is, then death. Lemme ask you, what do you think life is? Then what do you think death is?

Reason is making simple sense in a truthful and verifiable way.

Reyginus: Lol. I will cut that tongue.
That was not my observation though. What I am saying is, why is it so easy to accept the one that appeals to you, because it seems natural, and not accept the other, because it is supernatural, if both has little evidence?
thats because one still has some evidence, and we can understand it, but the other, the supernatural is only subjective and deductive, there is absolutely no evidence for the supernatural, because that would immediately suggest a super-supernatural tongue
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 9:20am On Oct 04, 2013

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 9:16am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Unless you are saying that a bunch of scientists caused something to be without needing any material then it is definitely not the same.
OK, this made my day. You actually believe that there could be a life form somewhere who could make something from nothing? ah, guy, put on your thinking cap.

striktlymi: Not until you tell us where this venture will lead and its relevance to the present discourse.
am speechless, you dont even know the relevance of life being or not being an irreducible unit and your are debating this with me? damn

striktlymi: I will; soon enough!
i take it your dead jewish white master hasnt told you to get a gal, right? shocked

Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 9:04am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: That's very funny!

Have you come across the statement: "where your treasures are there your thoughts..."

Anyways, a Christian who commits suicide 'knowingly' will definitely miss the mark.
Little wonder why Nigerians are taking any route to America, because its really there. If paradise is there, am certain I wont be talking to you right now, you'd have found your self an easy route.

Anyway, my thoughts could be on gold and that is my treasure, so that dumb statement, made by your dead lord, makes no difference, nor is it a proof for paradise. tongue
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 8:58am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Yeah right!!! The questions a bit problematic for you?
ah, so funny

striktlymi: I bet you confuse the words: "Create" and "Make". Know the difference and probably we could have an interesting discourse.
we created or made matter, same way you think your god did.

striktlymi: Guy you are beginning to bore me. Common dude, don't tell me you've lost form.

#By the way, how ya gal?
life is not an irreducible unit, you have a proof to the contrary? am all ears.

my gal dey, find yours tongue
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel With The Fear Of Dying? by ooman(m): 8:38am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Because unlike your non-existent 'state', you are conscious and awake to the 'harsh' reality of leaving behind everything you hold dear.
one just wonders why christians prefer earth than paradise, is this because they are not certain a paradise is really there? If not, christians should be committing suicide daily.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 8:34am On Oct 04, 2013
striktlymi: Hmmm...

What really is death? How does one die? What really informs our thoughts about the notion of death? Is death really substantive? Can it be measured? How do we derive it without relating it to life? Does death mean an absence of life? Or does it mean a 'state' of non-existence? Do we truly go back to that 'state' non-existence?
guy, you are confused. Maybe the question you should spend your time asking is what is life, then you will understand death. From your post, you dont even understand life, to now talk of death.

striktlymi: If we can become non-existent then we make non-sense of basic science. As far as we know, humans can neither create nor destroy matter.
That is wrong, matter has been created. Through nuclear reactions, we have created new elements. Am sure the word you are looking for is energy, that is what cannot be created or destroyed, not even your god can try.

striktlymi: The best we can do is transform matter from one state to another. In the same vein, humans can neither create nor destroy energy. The life we have can be related to some form of energy which has it's source from the 'Ultimate Energy' who I choose to call God.
Wrong again, it is energy that can be transformed. We have created new elements, just check your periodic table. 99 elements occur naturally, but our periodic table is running into 120+ elements, do some reading will you?

striktlymi: Just as energy (our lives) cannot be destroyed but simply transformed, so too this 'Ultimate Energy' cannot be destroyed or as you put it: "die". Humans do not really die (strictly speaking). Our bodies get transformed into some other form while our lives (or spirits) go back to its source (God). When these transformations take place, we simply attribute this to death.
Life is not an irreducible unit. When you understand this, you will understand why there can't be a god.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 8:28am On Oct 04, 2013
Ajibam: he has told you the fact. .man dies cause of just rebellion back in Eden..
you and I originated from Him he is life ,,he lives in you and me,life without him is truly a waste
that is just the jewish myth recorded in the bible, that holds no water.

If we originated from him, from what did he originate?
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 8:08pm On Oct 03, 2013
striktlymi: I am saying that God is life itself and humans derive their 'life form' from this 'source' without which there will be nothing like the life we have today.
by all knowledge, the fact that life dies should make you understand that life is not an irreducible unit. If we derive our life from a God, and still, we die, then this source of ours too can die. So from your logic, your God is not eternal anymore. You are so contradictory in your views, smh.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 5:10pm On Oct 03, 2013
striktlymi: It doesn't unless you are saying that human life does not have a beginning.
and what are you saying? That God's life does not have a beginning? And compared to most life forms, humans are younger, so definitely, we had a beginning and that was when we evolved.
Christianity EtcRe: How To Become An Atheist by ooman(m): 5:08pm On Oct 03, 2013

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 4:25pm On Oct 03, 2013

Without a God's God, there cant be a God. Your logic fails wholly. tongue
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Life Without God. by ooman(m): 4:23pm On Oct 03, 2013
Without a god, there was life, so god makes no difference to life. Life is everything perfect without a god in it.

Christianity EtcRe: Aborisa:yoruba Religion by ooman(m): 7:35am On Oct 03, 2013
Actually, this story made more evolutionary sense than the bible's creation story that says everything was completed, which means everything should be static, but land continue to form from the ocean. I wonder why people can't see this.
Christianity EtcRe: I Renounce Atheism And Agnosticism!!! by ooman(m): 7:25am On Oct 03, 2013
aManFromMars: The number of times I hear that argument as proof of Jesus' existence.. undecided
And the calender is not even accurate. Its mostly approximations, from the time ancient Rome accepted christianity, not from the time of the birth of Jesus, his birth date cannot really be known(if he was ever born), so its partially political (for the Romans), not completely religious. So this deluded christians live in their own deluded world... its a shame...
Christianity EtcRe: I Renounce Atheism And Agnosticism!!! by ooman(m): 7:17am On Oct 03, 2013
^^^that is according to the christian calender, which is all myths btw. In the secular world, we dont use AD and BC, we read down till the first century, then up from the first century, so calm down.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Design Is Not A Plausible Theory For The Origin Of Our Existence by ooman(op): 6:16pm On Oct 02, 2013
Reyginus: Let's have the flaws.
I don't consider this to be an indication of a flawed system. If a human female will take into consideration every activity demanded of her during prenatal care, the possibility of this happening will be zero. Disorderliness in this human system is usually followed by a pathological or physiological cause. I would appreciate an example that doesn't contradict the normal cycle by pathological or physiolohgical means.
But this is not a design problem either. You are telling me that a system designed to eject a certain size of head under normal circumstances, is flawed because it cannot take some big head size. You missed something. Why is the head so big in the first place? What caused it. That I think is where the problem is coming from.
I don't understand this part.
Can you activate your thinking faculty before writing. You are under no obligation to respond, so stop writing rubbish. Read, understand, then respond.

You didnt respond to the arguments, you only gave a reply from your retarded brain.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Design Is Not A Plausible Theory For The Origin Of Our Existence by ooman(op): 6:01pm On Oct 02, 2013
Example from other life forms:

ooIn the African locust, nerve cells start in the abdomen but connect to the wing. This leads to unnecessary use of materials.

iiIntricate reproductive devices in orchids, apparently constructed from components commonly having different functions in other flowers.

yyThe existence of unnecessary wings in flightless birds, e.g. ostriches.

ddThe route of the recurrent laryngeal nerve is such that it travels from the brain to the larynx by looping around the aortic arch. This same configuration holds true for many animals; in the case of the giraffe, this results in about twenty feet of extra nerve.

rrThe loss of tetrachromatic vision by mammals as compared to other tetrapods.

ssPlants are green and not black, even though black plants would absorb more light energy.
