I really do want to believe in the Christian God, @ times I just feel 'He' tries too hard to make himself unreachable.

Trust me, there's hardly any Christian that does not question God's existence @ some point in time, believing in God takes faith and a conscious effort not to think......

You can be certain that there is nothing to hold on to in xtianity. yahweh is just the god the jews made up to explain nature. Other people made up other gods too.

A conscious complex god cannot just exist, and exist forever, its impossible.

So get yourself straight, atheism is the right path for you

The Jews were against him not because of power or any threat but because Jesus was blasphemous against their religion. He tried to modify their laws, he wasn't as discriminative as a typical Jew, he didn't observe the sabbath day rule.
He opposed them, that's why the people wished him dead.

And the Jesus of the Bible is so smart, he allowed himself to be crucified, knowing that he would resurrect and gain promotion in heaven. Your Jesus was very ambitious, he knew wat he wanted from the beginning and honestly didn't give a dime about Christians.

yeah, it took me many years of reading intelligent design materials and evolutionary materials before i could rid myself of religious childhood indoctrination too. If you have the desire to know the truth, god will be easy to rid off.

what is wrong with your reasoning faculty? There doesnt have to be a creator in nature, because such a creator must also have a creator, and that goes on unstoppable. Nature is observed to be self existent.

You believe the brain can't work without energy.

You believe energy can neither be created nor destroyed by any know human means.

If something dies, it can be argued that the item is destroyed.

Death for humans, basically occurs when the brain stops working.

The brain only stops working when there is no energy to power it.

If energy cannot be destroyed, why then do you think we 'die' when the brain lacks energy?

Think about it carefully this time before you answer.

still an irritating question, maybe what you got wrong is thinking the life in the brain is energy. Energy only powers the brain like it powers your computer, life itself is the right configuration of elements, powered by energy, to support the continuous life processes. So when the brain lacks power, it dies, no more relationship between them.

1. Their argument against atheism is: nothing comes from nothing, yet they believe a complex conscious god could pop into existence from nothing, and not just that, create everything from nothing.
- Q1-If nothing comes from nothing, what did your god come from - They console themselves by saying such a complex being is uncreated-
unbelievable.

2. If nature as we know it was designed, and if everything that exists must be designed
- Q2-then who designed your god, and who designed the god who designed your god, and that can go ad infinitum.

3. If God does not interfere in our affairs
- Q3- why believe that he can help you
- Q4-why punish sinners? Why destroy Sodom and Gomorrah?
- Q5- why pray to him, since he doesn't interfere in your affairs anyway?

4. If the universe was created to support life
- Q6- why does it not support life everywhere?
- Q7- why is life scarce in it?

5. If god is good, and if everything came from god
- Q8- where did evil come from?
- Q9- why create the devil, who will later turn evil?

6. If god is all powerful
-Q10- why does he have to kill himself to forgive our own sins.
-Q11- to whom did he pay our price of salvation? to himself or to a greater god?

if not from our deluded friend, who actually think bunch of ancient illiterates make sense than modern science, then who?

the question is, why are you thanking your god that we are wrong, were you ever in doubt of your god or something?
