Sadly even human law isn't always cut out to be so straightforward. Innocent people have died or gone to jail for the actually guilty. Guilty people have gone scot-free. And in some cases someone offered to take the fall for someone else e.g. In return for financial benefits to the family he/she left behind.

My point is that it's not everytime one commits a crime that they're the ones who take the rap.

Next step, if the stories about him are lies then it's a wonder that nobody in the early church proved the stories false. Of course there were the gnostics and other sects with varying beliefs on WHAT Jesus was, but nobody accepted him as a man and yet rejected the stories about his life, at a time when it was relatively still fresh.

Last of all, the disciples and early church must have been insane to live and die such wretched and persecuted lives for the sake of a lie. There must have been something far more than all that.

First, I don't doubt if the guy existed or not. That doesn't make the stories about him true even if he existed.

Second, xtianity was accepted in Rome as an official religion, no one dear question the authority of those days, they will be killed for treason.

Third, people die for a lot of things, most especially when they are illiterate fishermen who'd believe anything. That's not a proof for jesus being powerful. Its just their delusions.

I dont think this should be a problem. Forgiveness is simply overlooking the wrong of the person. If you have a contrary definition to this, put it forward.
