Make it more mobile device friendly or even make it an app..lots of crazy ideas.

Allow the users to have more control over the content, vote topics to the FP and vote down to remove topics..

Have a distinct Christian, Atheist and Islam section, but a general section where we can all rumble
good dream, hope to see it actualize one day

striktlymi: A number of Nigerian Atheists claim that an Atheist state is what the world needs, yet they refuse to go to China. tongue

Some Nigerian Atheists claim that religious folks are slow in the head, but when they fall sick they run to doctors who are neck deep in religion for a remedy. undecided

The religious are the most miserable people alive. They enjoy the inventions and developments of atheists, then they condemn them to hell. They love NL, Facebook etc all created by atheists.

You hear them shout about the Python programming language(used to create NL) without considering that its author and creator Rossum, is an atheist. They enjoy all the goodies atheism has to offer, then condemn atheists to hell and call them fools. The religious are really vermin from hell.
Christianity EtcRe: Where Are The Atheists And The Shallow-minded Agnostics by ooman(m): 7:00pm On Aug 05, 2013
FrostyZonn: Those self proclaimed atheists seem to forget that even the greatest mind of the 20th century believed in God.

Albert Einstein said something that put everything in perspective.

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."

From this wonderful quotation, it's obvious that Einstein found a way to make both work in his life. Just like the bible says;

"Give to Caesar what is Caeser's, and to God what is God's."

Believing in the big bang theory doesn't really contradicts the creation story as some ill informed atheists and theists wants people to believe. Religion simply found a way to tell a story people will relate to on more primitive level, why science took the practical and blunt approach.

Believing in both God and science will not only enrich your life but will give you a unique perception of it. Being a God hating atheist is lame, while being a science hating theist is equally lame.

#MyTwoKobo
Even if Einstein believed in a god, which he didnt anyway, how does saying "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." prove anything about the existing of the thing called god?

Religion is in fact the bane of science. Its why Nigeria cannot make any advancement in science and technology.

Take Nigeria as a case study and if you still think science without religion is lame, then you should be ignored. What the evidence shows is that religion destroys science.
Christianity EtcRe: If Nigerians Are Truly Godly, Why Is The Country In This Terrible Mess? by ooman(m): 8:10am On Aug 05, 2013
God himself and its idea is the problem of the black man. If God can be gotten off our world, we will start asking questions and seeking answers rather than praying to a god and blaming the devil.

Uyi Iredia: I presume you know the typical Christian's answer to this question. That said my point has been made, their prayer doesn't preclude the fact that they work, which topples the patently false statement you made of Nigerians praying for 24 hours without working. I am inclined to think that was a hyperbole.
well, its obvious you have problem understanding the simple English I wrote. I said:

Ooman: A Nigerian would rather spend 24 hours praying than spend it reading or working... Nigerians believe in prayer more than they believe in hardwork... that is the bane of the country
and not

Uyi Iredia: I presume you know the typical Christian's answer to this question. so you miss the point right from the start and you argued blindly. I never said that in red. huh

Nigerians believe in prayer more than they believe in hardwork and so the country is poor, that's the fact. Our problem will start getting solved when people learn to take responsibility and stop blaming the devil or thanking god.
Christianity EtcRe: Muskeeto, What Finally Made You An Atheist? by ooman(op): 1:23pm On Aug 03, 2013
Uyi Iredia: You appear determined to think this of Nigerians given their religious fervor. Feel free but I fully disagree. I insist that they know prayer is useless without effort on their part. They look at both, you insist on one_work.
so what's the use of prayer except to give a false sensation?
Christianity EtcRe: Muskeeto, What Finally Made You An Atheist? by ooman(op): 12:14pm On Aug 03, 2013
Uyi Iredia: Wrong. It is a known fact that it is the hands that till the soil which eat its fruits. Most Nigerians emphasize and spend lots of time in prayer, but they know it doesn't preclude the fact that they must work. Do get that meme off your head.
yea, and they believe prayer somehow makes them successful. They believe in prayer more than they believe in hardwork and so poverty eats them alive...

Christianity EtcRe: Muskeeto, What Finally Made You An Atheist? by ooman(op): 9:36am On Aug 03, 2013
Uyi Iredia: I must but in here. The reason being some, if not most, atheists share the same sentiment. Seth Andrews is one. Of course, proposing atheism changes the status quo especially in the African context where it is alien. I will also agree that atheism would, or at least should_given what they say, imbibe the culture of one being less superstitious, less gullible to religious dogma and emphasize the need to reason for one's self. However . . . One, this can, at least in theory, be driven by religions. Two, the problem in our country and Africa as a whole is more of a political one than a religious one: the differentiation holds, never mind that both are intertwined. Nigerians in particular need to found a strong and efficient political structure which does the job of translating individual effort (through grassroot participation in the polity) into national glory. We don't have such structure Three, atheism, as religion, is much prone to dogma, irrationality and superstition (in the thread 'Free Thinking' thehomer said some atheists are superstitious_curious to me on hearing it from her). I ahould expatiate but this $hit is lengthy already.
A Nigerian would rather spend 24 hours praying than spend it reading or working... Nigerians believe in prayer more than they believe in hardwork... that is the bane of the country
Christianity EtcRe: Muskeeto, What Finally Made You An Atheist? by ooman(op): 4:36pm On Aug 02, 2013
musKeeto: Ignore my haters. wink

As LB noted on one of his threads, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly when one becomes atheist. I still don't think agnosticism is the same as atheism though they're quite similar. As time progressed, I realized I became quite indifferent to religion and its fables/tales. I picked up an interest in deism for a while and found out their GOD is more of an idea than a being -- imo, when atheists say NATURE, they say GOD.

So as UYI put it earlier, it was more about coming to terms with my unbelief than being won over by Ooman's beautiful atheist threads tongue

.. Have a nice weekend.. dazall
am not an evangelist of atheism... its always right that you personally find the reason to drop the god idea...
