PoliticsNow That Yorubas Have Been Abandoned, What Next? by Ooni(op): 6:40pm On Apr 28, 2016
My people the die is cast. The sun is about to set on our luck. We are not in trouble but trouble lurks. There is quietness, there is uneasy calm, there is peace. A negative peace that heralds the worst. The unity of our country is hanging in the balance, the country is tothering in uncertainty, the nation is on the brink, and in short, we are not sure of the future.

We yorubas have been the smallest political bloc since history but circumstances in our country have made it unnoticed. The Northern region consisted the NE, NW, NC the eastern region consisted of SE and SS while SW consisted of almost just the present six states.

We have always partnered with north to foist division on eastern region as a means of weaknening them and make our small region relevant in national affairs. We achieved this through post-war anti ibo propaganda and political sophistication. With that we got the northern controlled federal govt to direct most investment and infrastructure in our lagos, rendering those in the eastern region where resources are gotten redundant. Infact We yorubas are the greatest beneficiary of the united Nigeria economically especially, in lagos. And our continued existence and survival is dependent on the unity of Nigeria.

Fast foward to 2015, we voted a northern extremist. A man whose actions are bringing SE and SS together towards self determination. The unity we fear so much.

Now SE lawmakers are calling for a SE /SS summit which signifies reunion of former eastern region. More dangerous is the fact that ipob, massob and ibo elites are now singing the same song.

It also means we have been abandoned to our fate as we can either join north or decide our future alone for once.

My people what shall we do?

mrvitalis:
I have said it and will keep saying it... We can't achieve BIAFRA like this.. .... Let's play the game of Nigeria and win them at it

First form a political party with the aim of actualizing BIAFRA... And this should be started (BIAFRA people's party) over the next 8 years capture all the south eastern states and implement the reforms we promise in BIAFRA as little as we can

Make PRODA a core science research institution which will be funded by the five south earthen states

Make move into the south south... With the food governance and lack of corruption the BIAFRA part will offer.. . We will will all south south states and Benue....

THEN we can go to the UN and demand a referendum and it will be granted

If Nigeria refuse... war starts and the world will support us

20 years plan to achieve BIAFRA
my fellow yoruba, let us leave ibos alone. We have many problems to tackle here in west instead of pretending to be ibos on Biafra threads.

BTW Lalasticlala have you seen this?

PoliticsRe: Why Do People Say Nigeria Will Be Great Again? by Ooni: 8:07pm On Apr 18, 2016
Ibos are a threat to we yorubas. we know Nigeria will be great if they rule this country. But will not allow it because if such happens it 'll consign us into oblivion and irrelevance. We always need to conspire with the backwards north to maintain the grip on nigeria. Even though it will be very difficult to progress that way, it will give us the much needed relevance. The best for us is to stay that way and pray for nigeria.

Dont even critisize us cos politics is about interest

tales as usual. a wise man knows when to fight. you expected him to declare oodua with the army mainly based in the west? he made a wise decision. Ibos should learn to fight their battles alone cheesy Biafra is dead and buried. Awo came out as one of the major heroes in the war. get over the loss
but our people fight always with their mouth and on the internet showing we have deep urge to fight.

Are we really cowards?

lol same Awo that dealt Biafra two deadly blows by the jugular even without going to war.

1.) currency change
2.) starvation policy.

Awo was too intelligent grin
he was intelligent by being a coward ?

He was intelligent for backtracking cowardly after promising to declare our seperate republic?

He was intelligent by selling we yorubas into the hands of mile 12 and ondo fulani marauders?

He was intelligent by taking poison meant for rats and other rodents?

He was a big time disgrace to we yorubas and we must admit it if we must move foward. We should not be defining success by how much our son hate ibos.

This is one of the greatest problem with Nigeria. TRIBALISM
indeed it is our greatest problem. The same day an ibo girl's success made front page for being a best student in a world class uni. Some bigots pushed this story to fp too. We yorubas should stop this unequal competition with ibos.
EducationRe: Omoshalewa Adenike-Babalola Graduates With 4.0CGPA From LASPOTECH by Ooni: 7:19pm On Apr 14, 2016
TheVictorious:
A girl, Omoshalewa Adenike Babalola, has made history as the first to graduate with the maximum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 at the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH). Omoshalewa, a Science Laboratory graduate, was the cynosure of all eyes at the 24th convocation of the polytechnic last Thursday.

The valedictorian was presented with prizes at the event graced by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Oba Kabiru Shotobi, Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and former Group Managing Director of Chams Plc Mr Ademola Aladekomo, among others.

The ceremony, held at the school auditorium, started at 10am with the procession of graduands and the principal officers led by the Rector, Dr. Samuel Sogunro.

Ambode was represented by his deputy, Dr. Oluranti Adebule.

Sogunro said Omoshalewa is the first student to graduate with the maximum CGPA. The rector said the school would offer her a job after her National Youth Service.

Ambode urged the graduands to be innovative and practise the entrepreneurial skills acquired from the school. He said: “There is no gainsaying the fact that we are in a challenging time, especially the current unemployment rate. It is time to bring out your innovative and entrepreneurial skills. You must look and explore other options to engage yourselves.”

The school graduated 8,519 students. Of the number, 263 graduated with distinction.

Oba Ogunwusi, Oba Shotobi and Aladekomo were conferred with fellowship awards in recognition of their support for the school.

Omoshalewa, who spoke on behalf of other graduands, hailed the polytechnic staff for their guidance. She described her feat as unbelievable, saying: “I never had it so easy.”

She said group reading and hard work were the secrets of her success.

Yusuf Razak, a graduand, said he was happy to graduate with a set that made history in the school. “This is a great achievement for me. I am happy to be among a set that set a new an academic record in the school,” he said.
