Fair lady, i know u have gotten many sound advise but i would still love to add a silient point. This issue looks more of a spiritual affliction than a physical issue. (More likely a household wickeness attack) Ur dad was probably targeted and they are singling his issues out for attack. They want to fraustrate u, make u wonder what value u have in life.....the ultimate aim is to useless such individual and make him or her to die a miserable wrench... There is however one consolation, God fights for folks like u without u knowing. Pls go closer to God and cry to him, u will see a marked change.. NB pls ur parants needs ur help and prayers, not anger and resentment. They are probably unawear of the source of their problem. Engage in prayers without letting anyone know what u are up to. U are wrong. If he has his originals with him, then there is no reason for an affidavit but because he doesn't have, that explains the reason for the affidavit.
Next question is, then where is the originals? The General claimed his house was ransacked by the military after the coup and carted away all his valuables including his certificates so to him they are all with the military.
He never lied and his affidavit is in order.

If his valuables including his documents were taken by force decades ago, he ought to have stated that he lost it when his house was sacked. You can not say that someone who disposed you of your valuables by force is holding it in safe keeping for u. The presumption is that it has been destroyed. Moreover, do you realise that it could be possible that Buhari just made it up to APC as a face saving move?

You dnt go about swearing an affidavit for photocopies of something when u have the original copy, so it' safe to assume GMB is refering to his original copy. Buhari lied under oath.

I can only say that if there is anything to be misplaced, stolen or destroyed in GMB military file, it would only be photocopies, not original certs. No one, i repeat no one gives his original copy of his cert to his employer. Pls when did they ever said that the 'original certs of past leaders are with them? Give us the link pls. If you are interested apply and they will give it to you.
No institution in the world accept a photocopy. Hence affidavit, which has a legal status. An affidavit is worldly acceptable where the original no longer exist.
Some of you is labelling another person as illiterate but a lack knowledge of most simple things a literate should know.

Sir pls tell us about the content of the said affidavit.... GMB lied that his credentials are with the miliary board...so swearing affidavit in place photocopy is not the issue. If he has said it was destroyed or that he lost it, then your point would been valid.
