If the love is unconditional, who cares about who is richer
Unfortunately, most times the love is not unconditional.
Besides the man often wants to be 'in charge' and ladies prefer a man they would look up to, including financially. Need I say that money and wealth is power and the partner who weilds more of it calls the shots.

Congrats Jill

It took them so long to call you.
And it took that letter for you to find your voice again on the thread.
Congratulations again!

29th August 2008, thread still dead

AlfaPrime:

@Jisi
Welcome back to Nigeria. Accept our sympathies for your inability to link up with KuKu in US. Well,at least we're all witnesses of how hard You tried to coax him out of his shell.

Only goes to show the sort of character we've been communicating with on the thread.
There is something about sincerity and boldness, they go hand-in-hand.
It also illustrates whether one is truly proud of who he is or a whimp who lives his life on a faceless thread where he can shoot all the bombs and safely cause a lot of controversy by posting all sorts of rubbish!
Talk about personality complex. I've said it times without number on this thread. No need improving on it.

There is something else about deception and cowardice. Why show your face after all the drama and falsehood lived on the thread.
Better to be elusive than to get your cover blown and give people a chance to find out that you are not truly who you painted yourself to be.
Too poor Kuwena embarassed

Predict the Nigeria - Argentina match result on Saturday.
I see a 2-1 in favour of the Argies or a surprise.
Just being objective not unpatriotic. If you have liver, kindly post your own prediction.

@stan
I ain't crazy no more embarassed cry
I got 'born-again' perhaps undecided abi born before.
My main instigator (Kuwena) don quit.
All the crazy guys who dotted this thread at one time or another (adrianic, pgm, Kenosym etc) don quit and gone their seperate ways.
You should have seen this thread then embarassed

Kenosky is partially dumb
Pak has grown sane.
And Jisi has probably given her love to one dumb-ass guy in the USA after Kuwena publicly shuned her entreaties.

So, who is left here?
You? Me? And probably our silent leaders waiting for another controversy to erupt before they can find a voice?
Abeg I don tire! I've got a lot of money to make, a lot of spending anticipated and a lot more controversies to resolve in the real world.

So what exactly is happening to me?
I think I am taking a hike, meeting more people and considering my career part as opportunities just dey open to me from everywhere.
The telecoms industry in Naija is currently experiencing a boom and peeps like me who don dey here for quite a while are simply going to boom with it.

Stan, I guess like those I mentioned up here, we all may need to go our seperate ways too and continue our own "Which Way Life" outside this thread.
'Cause frankly, I think the thread has lost several of its key characters (from way back up till now) and so has also lost focus.
Mail me your number, who knows, I may give you a call some day wink
Adieu!

JISIDAISY:

Please Opoks I trust say na you go fit do this one. Check your Telescope, shocked where that dude dey?

Jisi don't mind Kuwena, he's probably reading and watching this thread at his spare time  .  .  .  praying  .  .  .  wishing .  .  . undecided thinking that the thread will die. For where? This thread has outlived coups from Opoks, Kenosky, all the Adrianic, tommyex and other old-timers and several from Kuwena.

But come to think of it, why would Kuwena be unwilling to meet with Jisi? Inspite of the open-invitation, pleading and cajoling?
Seems weird to me. undecided Does brother have something to hide?
I mean, it's not like he's going to pay for Jisi's drink, flight fare to his place? Afraid Jisi might rape him or what?

Or just afraid to show another soul from this thread who the real Kuwena is and what he looks like?
All these seem weird and communicates a paranoid behaviour to me. embarassed
Kuwena abi you no dey America true true? Our papparazi (Jisi) is ready to fish you out!

Sports / Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by opokonwa(m): 1:33pm On Aug 13, 2008
I've not seen the Ivoriens play but I believe that we may have a psychological advantage playing them than playing the Argies.
But to score this Siasia team; far from impressive. We have just been lucky playing equally less impressive teams like Holland, China & the USA.
The real test comes from the Quarter Finals. If we ever survive the Ivoriens, then the Semis are the farthest I will give the team.
Except the rest of the competition is also as lack-lustre as our Dream team.

What if Nigeria had no Mikel? Does it mean that we would not play football?
It is we Nigerians who are responsible for over-hyping arrogant peeps like Mikel and turning them into gods overnight.
Besides, Mikel today is not the same Mikel he was in 2005. Mourinho has completely changed his game from a creative No.10 to a defensive No.4
So I wonder what magic you want him to perform besides dorning the shirt marked 'Mikel'.
It is better that Coach Siasia dealt with Mikel's ego now than risk more of it in the Super Eagles in future.

Blow-out ke?! 3-0?
One thing about some Nigerian sports fans is that we grossly underate our opponents most times in our optimism and support for our team.
Lame if you ask me. Do you think the US team is there to fry akara?
Much as I expect the Dream team to finish this one off with either a win (or a draw undecided), I do not expect a total wash-out of our rivals.
They are hungry too and not there just to cheer us on. Get real my friend.

Sports / Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by opokonwa(m): 8:13am On Aug 11, 2008
Nigerians are calling for the blood of the Argies!
Super-confident I will say.
But we have to be cautious with what we ask for. No doubt, we have a good team and a good coach.
However, our lapses are obvious; a shaky defence, a lack lustre midfield and an attack that lacks class. (full of flurry but no class sad)
Compare it to the Argies midfield with Messi, Riquelme et al against our defence, then let us face it, we have a lot of work to do.

Siasia obviously have done a good job picking the best he could afford with the prevailing circumstances that marred the selection (we miss Mikel, Taiwo and Ik Uche in their respective positions). Compare this team with Atlanta '96 and Under-21 WYC (2005) and you would have observed that for both categories, Nigeria had more class than now. Siasia is obviously doing very well despite these limitations, however, I wonder his chance against a complete team like Argentina or Italy?

Whatever the results of this tournament, I would suggest that Siasia be drafted to the Super Eagles to take over from where Amodu stopped.
That is not to say that Amodu is not doing a good job, Siasia definitely has more class and I think that providence is building him up for the  Big job.
He is the best football tactician that Nigeria can afford now. And he has a mission.
He also commands so much respect among our professionals, the NFA, the politicians and the rest of Nigeria.
His stance against Mikel's obstinacy earned him even more respect among the professionals, the NFA and all Nigerians. Such heart is what we need to manage our football. Damn with our professionals and their bid egos!

Whatever the result of this tournament, Siasia definitely earns my respect and I am sure that of most Nigerians.

Definitely a better tactician than Amodu and can manage Nigerian football politics more than any white-skinned foreigner can. I wish him the best!

Yes! It does.
Anyhow we wanna pretend about it, we flow easier with someone in the same social class as we are.
No need crisscrossing class. I won't date an orange seller on the road.
I'm not saying that it is bad but I just won't.
