MangekyoAlt:When you include the trophies won on your stats, the picture becomes very different. That's when those two Aliens become untouchable. Although I think Lewandoski deserves that Ballon D'or this year. |
unbitchable:I won't lie to you, as at 2013,CR7 was ranked 25 on all time big game scorers, a list even Messi fell behind. Go and research this properly in 88% of Big Games, CR7 scores, even if his team doesn't win in some cases. His ability to score in big games makes him a very clutch player. Messi is a very talented player till tomorrow, but there's something about CR7 that I don't understand, did they swear on his head to just score for fun? Even if he is having a bad game... If you put CR7 in Eyimba today, he will still score. Please let's just celebrate grace... https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/feb/06/best-big-game-goalscorer-football-history |
Funny enough, while abroad, it's mostly easier to have the "Nigerian type marriage" with a foreign woman that loves you, compared to a Nigerian woman... Because the foreign woman will be more open and genuine to learning a new culture, unlike the Nigerian woman who is equally yearning for a change, to breakaway from cultural hindrance and freedom in a new setting. Just this Thanksgiving, a Nigerian woman called the police on her husband in our neighbourhood, I didn't get the whole story though, but the husband was picked up by the police and issued a restraining order (violence was not involved, however, there was some sort of heated argument) ... Either ways that's something an Asian (be it Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian etc) woman will scarcely do even if they were brought over, if one is married to them- Nigerian women abroad are mostly known for having that reputation, especially if they were brought over. |

To be Honest Edouard Mendy is the better keeper by miles, however when it comes to which keeper has a direct effect on the game, Donnaruma comes up... how you may ask? So Donnaruma is a modern day Sweeper Keeper, while Mendy is a traditional keeper with acrobatic traits. The thing with Sweeper keepers is they also contribute directly to defensive actions by dictating defensive patterns, which Donnaruma was constantly doing in the Italian team (Chiellini, Spinazola and Bonnuci were also very good so it made Donnaruma's coordinations very obvious). Donnaruma is particularly good at breaking crosses. Now Mendy does not do all that defensive coordination but, Mendy will most likely give you a clean sheet with his insane save rate. a 1V1 with Mendy is most likely going to end up with a save. However here's the thing if Mendy is in a team with poor scorers, he may help defend the team to the end, but not help them win. Donnaruma on the other hand can contribute to a team winning even with poor scorers, by influencing an aspect of the game, such as making key passes, or breaking a strategy by rearranging the backline or pushing a highline to counter a press by coming out. So if you ask me which of the goalkeepers influences a game most, it's Donnaruma by a mile, but which keeper has a higher save rate it's Mendy. Donnaruma was also solely responsible for Italy winning the Euros, however I can't say the same for Mendy in the champions league because he had a man like Ngolo Kante doing divine things. Check their stats.

TJ Babangida... #sighs... his speed then was legendary, he used to move across defense lines like a hot knife through butter. Congrats to him... |

Na waah o... If Nigeria was in a better state, had a reasonable economy and people had stable jobs... tell me is it an Italian Job that can lure someone out of his house to unknown waters?? The Day Nigeria elects a leader who is a visionarie, is the day wahala will end. Wishing the victimized lady a quick recovery... |

sulaak:To be honest he has a system, but I have said it before; He uses the wrong players for that system he wants, https://ng.opera.news/ng/en/sports/amp/d66c5edb99b6df69808c5c0a23a85cc5 Recently he tried to restructure his system to accommodate Oshimen and Ighalo at the same time, but it was not working effectively. He needs inverted wingers who are good at 1v1 for his system like Chukwueze (but since he's not been available he uses Musa which was a fail), notice anytime Chukwueze plays, more goals are scored due to more chances created.. He also doesn't play Oshimen as Oshimen should, Oshimen is not a linkup play Striker/target man (like Lewandowski), however that's always Rohr's plan, which makes me wonder. Because of that reason Ighalo was recalled. |
To be honest NFF have a big problem... When a new coach shows up, he comes with a new ideology, system and strategy. He will not adopt Rohr's system, which may require the new coach to start sourcing for new players to fit his system, don't be surprised he drops off current players (who worked hard to get to this point). That's already a potential bitterness waiting to happen in camp... An interim coach should have been selected from Rohr's assistant/technical unit so they develop upon the players on ground with a new system. Otherwise, Nigeria will just be like Spain in the last world Cup, who had a world class team but lacked cohesion due their last minute coaching switch. |
Climate change bill in Nigeria ![]() At this time?? Baba is completely lost... Like I am just petrified at this Baba... 0 emissions plan ke... with the electricity problem alone that is not possible, 1- assuming we consider electric mobility/vehicles, which Grid will sustain the electricity supply?? 2- Generator usage alone contributes to a huuuge chunk of carbon emissions in Nigeria, because there are more people who own generators compared to cars- take rural areas for example. 3- Regulating Generator usage (assuming emissions control is really taken into consideration) will take a direct hit on the economy, as there is literally a known electricity challenge. 4- The supply price of Electricity will probably be touching the sky, when a drastic shift like that occurs. 5- Most people cook with Coal, firewood etc due to insane prices associated with energy supply in Nigeria...thats a huge carbon emissions problem there Insecurity 6- Electricity charging infrastructure will be vandalised by Touts 7- Transportation will become very expensive especially if the press to phase out regular combustion engines increase, at the moment Nigeria is highly dependent on Road transport, alternative methods of transportation are very scarce especially in densely populated areas. This may further increase the deviants in society. This list literally continues |
RiceProducers:France was a country that was literally a sissy, with sissy citizens... Until Napoleon came and instilled a different mentality to France. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk rewrote the entire mentality of Turkey, he even re-engineered their language. Germany is what it is today because of Helmut Kohl... I could keep on listing individual leaders who set up Governance that reinvented the sense of patriotism in their citizens... now here's my point; Since independence in Nigeria, which leader has done something exceptional to inspire a fixed sense of Nationalism? ... who? To even think that almost 16 years of "Democracy" governance since 1999 are from recycled ex military heads of state(Obj and PMB) is truly mind boggling. If a Government had done that, trust me, you wouldn't comment this way about your fellow countrymen who have long become pawns, resultant deviants and victims of a failed state. |
The day the country gets good Governance, is the day controversies will end... Just imagine how the FG has declared that Green Grass is purple and the masses mostly agree that; Yes indeed! Green Grass is purple... (oppression) There are even some who can't say Green Grass is Green because they don't trust their visual and perception faculties anymore due to FG and other factors, they are genuinely confused... (Confusion) There are those who don't even care about Green Grass being any colour, because it won't feed them...(unpatriotism) Then the one's who maintain that Green Grass is actually Green, are subjected to persecution or live in fear...(Fear) Now that's a country... abbey621:I think he means most educated "Black" Immigrants, because when it comes to the African American Demographic in the US Nigerians are heads-up the most educated. However when it comes to the most educated Immigrant group, I will give that hands down to the Indian's... infact only them single handedly tipped over the H1b visa system. |
Because for the most part, Nigerians in the US are incredibly educated... How can one person have 3masters degrees and a PHD?? and with all that, this brother is still hustling multiple jobs... You don't need Rocket science to figure out he's raking in over 200,000USD a year... BTW that brother with all his earnings, never shops outside of Costco and Dollar Tree... |
Emperormartin:Who said they don't have pattern?? To be honest they do (the coach has obviously worked on a system) ... what they lack are the players to fit that pattern/system and sometimes it bothers me. Rohr has a holdplay/link up play system for the main striker, however the only striker capable of that is Ighalo and he is old stock, now linkup play is not his Sharpest striker's (Oshimen) strong point. Secondly he favours a Sweeper Keeper, but Okoye is a Jack of all trades and master of none (he needs to Condition Okoye to just one role so he can get good at it now its early) Okoye is a ball playing keeper, Sweeper Keeper and traditional defence Keeper, however that makes him all over the place and gives room for cheap errors. Thirdly he has a defence department that I don't understand one bit, all the defenders have different patterns such that a simple defence substitution can change the entire back line behaviour. Defenders need to be similar especially Center Backs. For example if Leon Balogun (who is more adventurous and progresses the line) is substituted for Omeruo (Omeruo is more of a static defender, he doesn't progress the line) now that's a problem if you face a team with very pacy strikers, they are less likely to go offside. Is there no way someone can convince Fikayo Tomori of AC Milan to just wear green?? Fourth I really don't understand why they keep playing Musa, when some very pacy wingers want to prove themselves, for example if Ejuke is given at least 60mins game time I am very sure he will prove his ability because that guy is dying to impress. Fifth where is Chukwueze?? Where is that genius for Okra's sake?? Bottom line Rohr has a system let's give him that credit, but he puts his faith on very funny players. |
To be honest I wish sentiment is dropped aside and Musa can be be benched, in an ideal 4,3,3 formation I would have Oshimen, Ejuke, and Chukwueze as the starting 3 forwards. I suspect Rohr will likely start with Ighalo, Musa and Iheanacho. |
I am laughing in French ![]() |
I am not convinced about Osibanjo one bit. On several occasions he's had the chance to redeem his Oga's clueless shortcomings, but he is as passive as they come... basically, Goodluck 2.0. Abeg him and his Oga should go and rest |
Cousin9999:With due respect, you are the one who seems racist ... reread what you wrote and Define Racism. |
englishmart:To be honest Ighalo is a traditional 9 (he has the ability to play with his back to goal, and he is very good at that), which is something that the Nigerian team lacks currently, there is no traditional "no 9". Ighalo also rotates his position when linking play so he is comfortable going wide. Victor Oshimen with all his speed, finishing and skill is still not a traditional "no 9", although he comes close, but he is a flanking forward who is used as a 9 (like Thierry Henry was or Mo Salah) however, his main strength is not playing with his back to goal, now that becomes a problem if there are similar forwards in a 4,3,3 formation, there is now a rotation of play amongst these forwards, since no one can typically hold up play, and of course Rohr has a system that requires a target man who can link up play. Paul Onuachu on the other hand, is a target 9 but he can't positionally rotate with other forwards (like Chukwueze or Iheanacho), which still makes him an incomplete striker for Rohr's system.(that's why with all his goals on club level, he is usually benched on the national team). Iheanacho is a false 9 (similar to Gabriel Jesus or Firmino). Chukwueze is a wide player, same goes for Musa, Ejuke or Simon Moses... This is why Ighalo is still needed... though Oshimen will get better with time, as he seems to be evolving into the traditional "9" role, but until he gets better Ighalo is still needed. |
