Go to the pharmacy and get Moxifloxacin.. It is more effective and more suitable
I do not think it's right to change his docs RX here . after all they are same class of antibiotics fluoroquinolone. it would be better you guide than recommend tx here. he should go bk to his doc if there re no improvements fr a reevaluation and if not satisfied, seek treatment somewhere else

i met an eye doctor who told its corneal ulcer.. he gave me two eye drops namely "zeenat" and "dicloeye* i dont know if its steroid or not.. but will that white spot on my eyes ever heal? now my vision has increased alil bit but I'm always having that feeling of smokes around me.
what kinda cornea ulcer were u diagnosed of? not really kul with his treatment approach if he's actually treating a corneal ulcer; nevertheless I believe he's a professional and should have good enough reasons to place u on those drugs and I should respect his judgements

Thanks for the info. I was afraid I could go blind from the surgery, That's why I ran.

How safe and efficient is the surgery? And cost implication, do you have an idea?
lolz. much lies on the expertise of the eye surgeon so i'll advise u make your findings well before settling for one. in private clinics, you could get frm 200k to 350k range but d price vary

Thanks for asking.

The diagnosis was the same, that the veins around the eyeballs are weakened as an effect of the blow directly on it. As I was told then, the surgery was to correct the eyeball from always moving sideways by itself even when I'm looking straight.
oh OK now I understand . it's your eye muscles not your vein that got affected and this has resulted in strabismus (half past eye). you are having double vision because binocularity has been disrupted (the eyes are now finding it difficult to work together ). you'll have to go for surgery to HV it fixed else over tym, the brain would start neglecting information coming from that eye in an attempt to stop you from seeing double and that eye becomes amblyopic (vision in that eye becomes poor and nothing can be done to make it better)

I understand. I find it difficult walking with my glasses on. Objects tend to appear closer than normal, making me miss my steps. It's so bad that I have to come quite close to people to recognise them ( some people think I am a snub because of this). Sad sigh
you shld report back to the clinic fr a redress. they may have to review your prescription or inspect the lenses to ascertain if there was an error from the lens lab

Hello doc. Please can you recommend any drug that would boost my vision. I am short sighted and without my glasses images appear a bit blurry.
hi there. There are no known drug in clinical practice that would make you see better without your glasses. Though we encourage people to use eye antioxidants which is just lyk taking vitamin suppliments but this can't make u see without glasses still

Hello Doc. Please I have an eye problem, I need help with.

Year 2000 I was at Ife-Modakeke during the crisis, got a blow on my right eye. It was reddish and painful but cleared up after about 6months of treatment.

But 3 years down the line, I started having blurred and double vision, went to Gen. Hospital Ikeja and surgery was suggested. I ran away.

Went to Optical clinic Ikeja and was told after series of tests that the veins holding my right eyeball are weakened, and that I shouldn't use glasses; because the bad eye could corrupt the good eye.

Please what can I do? I only see clearly with the left eye, the right one is more of a disturbance.
hi dear . your explanations ain't really clear. What was the diagnosis given in d hospital and clinic you visited? And What was the surgery intended for?

we HV bad doctors abroad aswell and it isn't out of place to consult other mediums when lost in a case. what matters is that you are able to give d patient help required of u as a professional.

pls doc what could be causing my constant dizziness and pressure at the right side of my head, have been to the doctors but was asked to do a ct scan which is so expensive, and sometimes I feel hotness and coldness n pinching sign inside the head too
hi there. although your question is outside what the thread is meant for, coming up with a diagnosis isn't done by magic and may be needing some investigations hence u were asked to go for a CT scan probably to rule out the presence of an intracranial space occupying lesion. my dear u just have to rally round to get the needed finance for it and go for the scan. May God see you through . best wishes

tanx but wat r d chances of complications and wat abt dat lens dey say dey put only in d nyt does it help to cure myopia
as in orthokeratology? sure you are talking about retainer lenses. it's part of what is used in orthokeratology. orthokeratology may not totally eliminate myopia but helps to reduce it

tanx so much but I hope no complications after d surgery n I will start seeing like normal wtout glasses again in my life
there may be complications after; that's why I stated earlier that I'm not pro refractive surgery. besides sometime's it doesn't totally eliminate one using spectacles even after the surgery

tanx but do u knw of any eye foundation for d refractive surgery and does it cost up to 200k ?
I think their clinic located in VI lagos does the refractive surgery and I think it should be over 200k but not certain. you could check them up on the internet to get their contact and make ur enquiry as regards the cost for the procedure

please lyk hw much does d special contact cost n hope no side effects
that type of lens is not what you can get yourself. you'll have to meet a contact lens specialist for that
HealthRe: Ask The Eye Doctor Any Problem Concerning The Eyes by optm(m): 2:59pm On Sep 14, 2018
Ruthluv4:
tanx but for d contact lenses does it have side effects and how long can one use it, also d cost then secondly abt refractive surgery can u recommend a good place it can be done n like how much does it cost, tanx
the major issue with contact lenses is it demands u being hygiene conscious and u having to take it off ur eyes at d end of d day if it's a daily wear contact lens . if you can do that, you wouldn't really have an issue. the cost of contact lenses and duration varies depending on the brand and type of contact lens. u can visit an eye clinic to get more information. as regards the refractive surgery, I think eye foundation does that and it's an expensive procedure.

please does contact lenses completely cure short sightedness or refractive surgery
no It doesn't although there's what's called orthokeratology which is done to reduce myopia using special kinds of contact lenses .

Hello doc, I have had a stye eye for over 3weeks don't know if it has turned into a chalazia, how do I go about treating it
for stye , treatment with antibiotic drops and possibly drainage would help; but for chalazia, you could try massaging with warm compress but most times , it would be removed by surgical excision. you'll need to book an appointment with your eye doc to evaluate if what you are having is a stye or chalazia .
