gabbytabby: You dont like Atiku but you will choose a man that is clearly worse than Buhari. How logical is that. A man that has clearly been in the corridors of power and a man whose pedigree clearly shows you what kind of leader he has been.
No single person on earth can single handedly change Nigeria and with Buhari we know that more than most his heart is in the right place. He just needs to surround himself with more people that are invested in the development of Nigeria as currently there are too many hyenas even seeking to devour him. We all need to go back to the grass roots and put forward men of intergrity wherever they may be found.
Are they Victims?
Often times i remember an old yoruba adage that is now lost on this generation which says a good name is better than gold or silver. People demonstrate a total lack of integrity but refuse to take ownwership for their predicament. We as a people keep sitting on nail but refuse to move away from the nail and prefer to grumble that the nail is hurting. movetoca: Do you know what it takes for someone to vote for Buhari in 2015 against his fellow southerner? I know the massive insults I received at my polling unit in Port Harcourt . I voted for him because I thought he was going to make the real difference. I trusted him and I don't regret voting him because now I have confirmed him to be another liar like the rest. I have made up my mind never to vote for anybody especially people like Buhari and Atiku. Fvck both of them. Stop trying to defend these guys because even Buhari knows he has failed. why do most Nigerians feel they do not have an option aside atiku or buhari? ain't there other candidates in d likes of moghalu, sowore , duke , oby and others . the excuse for your not voting in the coming elections aint good enough . you are the one limiting yourself to the choice of those two candidates when there re others . |

veneza: doc. thanks a lot what stage of glaucoma is this, also if patient follow up with medication and check up from this stage is there any need to panic that one might loss his vision in the near future. since one is having normal pressure range if one continues the medication is there any harm if it becomes too low(eye pressure). there isn't any need to panic if you adhere to your meds and go for routine eye checks as your vision can be very well preserved. you will hardly find a case of too low eye pressure arising . if the individual is placed on a combination of anti glaucoma drugs in order to achieve a target pressure, d doctor knows at what point to withdraw some of those drugs and which to place u on to maintain the pressure. like I stated in the previous reply, it's what is to be managed throughout life and to be done with your eye doctor. |

veneza: please doctor how can one conclude that glaucoma has set in, am confuse. eye test 6/6)left and 6/6)right eye eye pressure 17 and 19 irrespectively, although two weeks back it was measuring 41 and 29 left n right eye. after some medication it dropped. can read clearly small letters during eye test. so tell me please is the optic nerve damage, is this glaucoma. one could have glaucoma and still have standard vision (6/6) as peripheral vision is usually affected first and not central vision (giving u a 6/6 vision now). if not properly managed, central vision would become affected in the later stage. good it was discovered early. with that high pressure record and the much difference in pressure reading between the two eyes initially makes it a high suspicion of glaucoma. a visual field analysis /Oct may be needed to establish the suspicion as a true glaucomatous case but most likely, it is. |

Geminita: when I went for medical examination in school, I did eye test and my left eye result was 6over18 and the right eye was 6over9. the result wasn't interpreted. does that mean I have a poor sight?? my right eye is perfectly fine,i only experience issues with the left eye your right eye isn't perfectly fine either although it has better vision than the left eye. standard vision is 6/6 . you would likely be needing glasses to help both eyes see better |

Geminita: Good afternoon doc...
I usually experience blur vision with my left eye and it's always itching me.. When I want to take something,i don't see it until it's been point to me. even when am reading a book, the text looks scattered and I have to relax for a while before reading again and the process continue.. do you experience headaches and tearing when you engage your eyes? anyways I suspect you are having a refractive error and may be needing glasses but only an eye exam can tell what the problem is. I suggest you make an appointment for one |

What if someone has lost his vision a bit, can lens medication be use for clearer vision. God bless you Doctor. I have to clarify that there isn't cure for glaucoma. it is only managed throughout life. whether or not surgery is done, you'll have to constantly go for followups . |

veneza: Those surgery cure glaucoma or those surgery help eye pressure to become there by making one worry free about vision. What if someone has lost his vision a bit, can lens medication be use for clearer vision. God bless you Doctor. surgery is usually the last resort if drugs fail to bring down the pressure to the desired or in cases where there's very severe damage to the eye nerves already or in managing a variant of glaucoma called narrow angle glaucoma . Secondly, glasses or contact lenses cannot help when vision is lost from glaucoma |

veneza: Hello Doc. I would like to know if someone diagnosed with a glaucoma on the early stage, can use glasses to avoid sunlight and for perfect vision. She always experience high pressure in the eye say 41m and 29m can she loses her sight all of a sudden or its a gradual process. If she is on medication is there any reason to panic over vision lost. Remember the person still have her vision intact. hi there , loosing vision in glaucoma is usually gradual and without the person being aware (as the side vision is usually affected first). management of glaucoma needs follow up by the doctor as the goal is to bring the eye pressure to a point that there wouldn't be further loss of vision and this target pressure varies from one individual to another. she would need to adhere to the recommended medication, dosage and keep to her appointments so the doc can always ascertain if the recommended drugs are bringing down the pressure to the target and if there is a progression of the disease . it's usually managed throughout life and with your eye doc involved all through. if she keeps to her meds and appointments, she'll be fine and her vision preserved but if she doesn't, I fear for her vision. most Nigerians are usually careless because the disease is symptomless , they in d long run discontinue meds and do not come for checkups only to show up when they are near blindness or blind from the disease and the painful thing is that the vision lost cannot be recovered . though some docs are to blame for this as they most time fail to educate their patients on the nature of the disease hence the carelessness by most patients out of ignorance . |
