GreyLaw:
A man as tribalistic and religiously divisive will build a country you will be proud of? A man who promised death to foreign election observers, and also promised death to anyone who killed a Fulani person? El Rufai went as far as destroying the gentleman's agreement in Kaduna by contesting and winning his election with a deputy of same faith; the same Kaduna where people of the other faith have almost the same population as the faith of the governor?

Buhari was sold to us as a man of integrity, but by my standards, he has failed woefully so far. Now you are painting El Rufai, a known bigot and blod-thirsty human being, as being credible.

Please tell us something else!
My broda, one thing you have to know is this our Obodo nigeria is what the Senior PA to Osinbajo said in the Church one day. She said, amidst tears that 95% of all Nigerians that comes to Osinbajo's office are coming because of their personal interest, period. not because of Nigeria, or the poor or general welfare or improvement of people. Most of the things you wrote up there are lies and they are perpetrated by those that felt slighted. An example is the fake Apostle Suleman, that guy is after his pocket period, you think he cares about muslims, or those that are not members of his church? Same goes for most Nigerians. Now, when GEJ was in power you saw what CAN did and all the excesses? What does that tell you? Yes, i agree with you about some bigotry of El Rufai, same goes for Buhari that no matter what anyone tells him he will have only his stupid Uncle and most Katsina folks making key decisions, i agree absolutely, however, we need to understand that this is all caused by our division, hate, taking sides and not doing all the things you said. Case in point is that we are in this predicament because, some folks still support GEJ, they did not move from GEJ's PDP to Buhari's APC. Now after his first term, we realized Buhari is not delivering on his campaign promises and he is not the leader we need, but we got stuck with PDP vs APC, how can we progress?

Poor lady, the system cannot produce a saint, they all had their little secrets.

But "The Palace Purge of S.West elements, off Govt, amongst others" is already underway for those who can see what the Buharians are up to. And for those thinking that the North-S/West handshake that produced Buhari, at tremendous profit to Tinubu and his boys, will still birth anything good for the South West, they should think again.
If ever the unholy alliance of the Kaduna Midget (elrufai) and the N.Deltan Orangutan, Oshiomole, sees light of day and seizes power come 2023; S/West will rue the day they ever joined lots with the North.
Best thing is to free the North. Void all the zoning and vote competence, capacity, conscience and credibility.
If only your tribalism will allow you see clearly. One of the most credible folks is the same El Rufai you are talking about. His records in FCT stands out clearly. Oshioms is a corrupt thief. Politics aside, if El-Rufai is President, Nigeria will be a country I and you will be proud of.

Yes, you cannot see 1 week of electricity because we don't get to the root of things and we don't care about TRUTH and JUSTICE. We are the judge, the jury, the executioner when it is our man, our church member, our tribesman etc, then he is innocent. If it is someone we dont like, then he is guilty. You should not conclude that its a "pull down", rather your mindset should be let's get to the TRUTH and if he is guilty, he needs to go to jail and if not, then false accuser should be jailed, period.

Not with Nigerian protesters. Nigerian protesters are looting, beating, causing chaos and destruction. They will even attack the police if the police is not shooting. Our attitude is a result of who we are, how our police and army are and how our leaders are. Tell Nigerians to queue in Nigeria alone and don't involve the police let me see who will obey you. I know that primary school education is
free in all northern states, so, money for fees
isn't the issue .

It is a cultural thing & the family also
survive on the proceeds from this petty trades.

How many of these children can you remove
from the northern streets without changing
the long standing culture of lack of
interest in western education while
emphasizing almajiri system?

To me, this is a baseless gesture aimed at
attracting publicity & playing to the 'gallery '.
And, how will the
parent now survive without income from
the hawking?

Change the culture!!!
With your comment and mentality, you need to be a student in that school as well.

Ofcourse they wont. Nobody will confirm. This is part of the unintended consequences of all the lies, rumours perpetrated about Buhari. Soon, they will get used to it and start doing it against each other as well. Imagine, unconfirmed rumour, see the anger and passion they used in beating this man. But as I always believe, God always give people leaders they deserve. And it's needless to say that El-Rufa'i is rightly fitted in the APC. At least PDP curtailed some of his excesses when he was with them but APC cannot because he stands for every philosophy of the party. El-Rufa'i is APC and APC is El-Rufa'i. Even lie Muhammad is an Apprentice in El-Rufa'i school of thought. And I hope that one day he will be among those that will criticise APC, that is, after it might have collapsed. Might be a different set of kidnappers. I heard about someone kidnapped along Abuja - Kaduna highway, ransom was paid he was released along the highway. The kidnappers now told him he needs to contact his family to pick him quickly else he might get kidnapped by another set since he was just on an open highway. PoliticsRe: Senator Abaribe Questions CJN Tanko Muhammad by Organs(m): 7:44pm On Jul 18, 2019
AreaFada2:
Yep. Exactly my point. But the vast majority of cases are not decided based on technicalities. The norm is that the justice system / prosecution body get their act right whereby cases are decided on merit or lack thereof.

Eyinnayan Abaribe's question centred on two conflicting statements by the Supreme Court regarding technicalities. One seeming to support the weight of technicalities and other seemingly against.

What I expected the CJN to highlight is something along the line that each case is decided on its own merit and how relevant or consequential technical errors, omission or commission in each case is.

The above might seem self-evident but what Abaribe and the masses need is reassurance from the CJN. It was an opportunity to display his acumen and debunk insinuations of his selection being based on ethnoreligious affiliations.
Smart man, i am impressed with your explanation. I wish i can send you correct Champagne. However, the CJN does not need to prove anything. He is a legal luminary and well respected amongst legal circles. Those saying rubbish are fools that know nothing, they will always exist anyways. Now, to your second point, if the CJN had said that, people can come up with lots of cases that was judged based on technicalities and say the CJN said so and so let's have the case heard again since initial judgement was based on technicalities, a case in point was where Abaribe had cited an example of a Judge not present during a sitting and i guess they'd concluded based on technicality of a Judges absence. You have to be smart in answering questions as a leader, else you rope yourself in. Again, you are a very smart man. I duff my cap sir.
PoliticsRe: Senator Abaribe Questions CJN Tanko Muhammad by Organs(m): 7:36pm On Jul 18, 2019
SoNature:
Abaribe is arguing that the Supreme Court contradicted itself in the two cases with respect to the impact of technicalities on justice administration.

The CJN didn't understand the question.

What he should have done was to explain, as an expert, why the Court had to contradict itself. Sadly, he went about explaining the meaning of technicality without relating it to the context and explaining how justice will be interpreted within the context of technicality under him
No sir, go listen again. Abaribe cited a situation where the Supreme court had said technicalities in judgement should be best avoided and he now gave a case whereby a Judge was not present and i guess judgement was passed based on "technicalities", now the question is where is the supreme court's position? i.e seek to avoid technicalities or use technicalities where possible? And he clearly stated that technicalities is YES, going against the norm and it is available in law and it is subject to interpretation and that they bring in an SME to talk about that before passing Judgement. What this means, is that YES, the Supreme court can and will use "Technicalities" however it uses SME's to arrive at conclusions.

It’s unfortunate how much Nigeria is retrogressing before our eyes. This is really really sad. About 90% of the folks on this thread i can guarantee you does not understand the question asked and does not understand the answer given and they are here hating and insulting based on their bias. Nigerian youths are truly lazy, stupid and now you can add uneducated to the list. Now, if you doubt me, i challenge all you idiots insulting the CJN to simple describe the question and the answer provided and how the answer was wrong. Lets see who amongst all you lazy idiots currently insulting the CJN can take up the challenge. Now to the few folks who do not understand and are open minded, the CJN clearly defined "Technicalities in law, talked about its origin and clearly explained its applicability in the courts. The CJN also talked about how "Technicalities" can be subject to different interpretations as well as what he as a Judge does and will do in any case that involves "Technicalities". Very brilliant and excellent answer.
