AllBusiness:Bro, you're late to the party! I recommend buying Dangsugar stock without hesitation if you can get it at todays close or lower as it still pack value. I bought more of it this morning when it was selling below yesterday's close. Some people were even lining up to buy it at a lower price, but I didn't waste any time and bought it at 22.85. By the afternoon, it was in full bid. Even if the market is red tomorrow, you can still keep the stock and collect the dividend. The dividend payout was just 33%, meaning that they only paid out 33% of their earnings. Dangcem pays out more than 80% of its earnings, so it's likely that if Dangsugar's earnings continue to grow, the dividend will double or more. Of course, you should still do your own due diligence. |

IHelp:Now is the time to use technical analysis more than ever to know when to exit. I think the market may continue like this for a while, but it could change if Mr. Tinubu comes up with an unlinked policy or if the scheduled meetings on the 19th turn out unfavorable. |

toyeoye:My portfolio is up 5.53%, but I don't feel anything. Most of the stocks that are driving it up are long-term investments and dividend bearing things, while my trading stocks never mature well. |
In other news, the high volume of trading in UBA suggests that the bears will be defeated soon and the stock will be allowed to reach its rightful price. I believe that prices of 13 and 14 are possible. ![]() |
BullBearMkt:The stock needs to increase its earnings to be at par with the increase in ordinary shares from 2.28 billion in 2021 to 5.99 billion in 2022. Although their share capital and share premium were boosted by more than 4 billion naira, I think it is better to wait and see how they will put the extra funds to work. Based on their audited earnings, my fundamentals indicates that they are very overvalued at the current price. However, a sharp trader may be able to make some money given the recent surge in volume. I will pass on this one. ![]() |
Harvestock01:Is there value in acquiring it? Despite the large volume traded, the price has not moved significantly. |
I don't know if I'm seeing this correctly, but NPFMCRFBK, which normally averages about 20 to 10 million naira per month, traded 372.4 million naira only this month. Why is there such a big difference? |
YoungBuffet:Have you taken a short position on crude oil? ![]() |

YoungBuffet:I doubt that the USA wants to crash the price of crude oil. If they did, they would have taken that approach to hurt Russia and Iran. The USA is also the largest crude oil producer in the world. Regarding Iran's crude oil production, Iran exports crude oil to China, rebranding it as crude from other countries to evade sanctions. This is why, despite the sanctions, Iran is still doing very well. I heard that they unveiled their own supersonic missile last week. |
yeddy99:Borrowing is not my thing. I would rather manage the little I have than borrow. It is my personal philosophy. However, if Zenith Bank's stock price goes back to 11, I will take out multiple loans, big time. ![]() |

aremso:Everyone is talking about a global financial crisis. My question is, since it is global, will it start in Nigeria ni? Won't it first manifest in foreign markets before we feel the effects here? That is how one particular individual is always posting about a generational low. Will this low start with the Nigerian markets ni? I am confused o. ![]() |
BullBearMkt:Sometimes I feel like I write too much, so I limit my posts. I am a naturally quiet person. I wanted to reply with the same premise as yours. The fees will include exchange rates, Morgan's, and the direct brokers. Unless you are a very skilled trader, the fees will hurt you more. My thoughts. ![]() |
123ABCXYZ:I believe that the same fundamental rules apply to trading regardless of market. I have observed a few patterns. When the market favors a stock and it begins to rise quickly, especially with heavy momentum, pullbacks are typically caused by people taking profits. After the pullback, the stock often continues to rise. I think the 10-day moving average is a good measure of strength, and a move of 40% or more is a clear signal that the stock is not kidding. However, it is important to do your homework and make sure that there is enough liquidity (with respect to size of your stake) before making a trade. This is because liquidity will help you get out of a trade quickly if things don't go your way, and help you minimize losses. All of this is just theory, as I am still testing a few things. Regarding using robots, our current set of stockbrokers do not provide APIs. I once considered building the entire trading interface with Selenium, but later decided that it would be too much work and prone to errors. |

I am looking at a trading strategy that I am calling the "Second Missionary Journey" or SMJ for short . It requires at least two moving averages (MAs), the 10-period and 20-period MAs. We are looking for stocks that have moved sharply upwards, in technical terms they have maintained their closing above the 10-period MA. We want them to have made at least 40% since they started. Next, we wait for a sharp pullback. Very often, it will crash below the 20-period MA. We want to enter when it crosses both the 10- and 20-period MAs and the 10-MA is above the 20-MA and looking up. We can enter earlier in some cases if we are confident in the stock. If we did our homework well, we should be riding the stock as long as it maintains above the 10-period MA. If we made some good gains, we can consider selling half our position and use the 10-period MA as a trailing stop for the remaining half. You can add other things to improve accuracy. A lot of stocks I tested conform to this behavior. Be aware that this strategy is not foolproof and that you could lose money. ![]() |
BullBearMkt:I am not an expert, but I understand that the price of commodities is heavily influenced by supply and demand... of the commodity unlike stocks. The United States and some European countries are facing economic challenges, but the Chinese economy is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. I feel it offsets major demand fluctuations. On the other hand, Russia, Angola, and Nigeria are not producing at full capacity, and OPEC is reducing production. This decreases supply. If crude oil prices were to fall to $60 per barrel, it would be due to an unforeseen event that will not show on your chart. ![]() |
YoungBuffet:Is crude oil still headed for $65 per barrel after the recent OPEC+ cuts of 3.66 million barrels per day? I'm sure your indicator saw that coming. Do you think it will still hit that price soon? How soon? ![]() |
