tctrills: You are wrong, we have only had mad rulers. Its time for some sanity in Nigeria.
We only have bad rulers? What about those cheating and stealing from one another daily everywhere? What about the even the technocrat and professors appointed into government and all they do is stealing? Yes, I know part of the work of government is to reign in everybody by enforcing the rule of law but the scale of indiscipline and roguery in the country is daunting. I used to think the illiterates and touts at motor parks are the most indiscipline among us. Today, it is obvious that even the most educated among us (the professors, technocrats, etc) are not different seeing how they behave when appointed into administrative offices.
Innocentman86: That's why we need obi more than ever. Just see what obi did in no man's land Lagos and anambra. Obi economic policies was what all past Lagos governor's followed and anambra and see how the two state are developing. Obi please come and give us the economic policies you gave to Lagos and anambra to develop. We don't want nigeria to be like osun state were tinubu claims he comes from.
What did Obi do as a governor of Anambra? Anambra's situation today is worse than it was.
gidgiddy: Nigeria cant work, it doesnt matter if you bring the devil or an angel to rule Nigeria. There is something called "incompatible differences", meaning that the world view of people are at polar opposites. In other words, how a Yoruba sees things, is not how an Igbo man sees it, nor how a Hausa/Fulani man will see it
This means that all three will keep fighting forever, no matter who is President, until either of two things happen
Nigeria disintegrates and everyone goes their own way, nothing to fight about any more
Or
Nigeria is structured in such a way that everyone has their own area where they control much of what happens, and they dont have to fight at the centre because the centre is weak. This way, everyone can see things however they like in their own area.
Without either of these two things happening, the area today known as Nigeria will neither see peace or progess
And you're sure there won't even be war at the regional level for the same reason if the country breaks up? In each region, there can still be feelings of marginalization, wanton corruption, indiscipline, etc. I don't think a breakup will solve those problems - remove corruption, indiscipline, and marginalization.
saintkel: u are wasting ur time on such fellows.....they know deep down that Obi is better but like Pharaoh they prefer we all suffer
What makes Obi better? Obi was governor of Anambra state for 8 years. How did he transform the state? If you are from Anambra, how did Obi's rule in your state transform your life? I'm sure your life got worse after his 8 years in office as Anambra governor.
dabiko: This is incredible. Nigeria needs Peter Obi now more than ever before. Vote wisely in 2023.
Another lie from Ipobians. Obi chopped and made it look like he wasn't stealing. Why was he keeping secret accounts? Wasn't it to hide the loot and make it appear he wasn't looting?
It baffles me when Nigerians complain that their country is not working. Each time I hear this, I look the complainer in the eyes and ask (inside myself though), what have you, in your capacity, done to make things work in Nigeria?
- governors, ministers, civil servants, etc are looting and stashing cash running into billions in their houses - the appointed technocrats (most of whom are well-read - prof, PhD holders, etc) can't do without using their offices for self-enrichment - oil-marketers are out there looking for every opportunity to hoard fuel and sell it at higher prices - BDC hoard dollars to make it seem scarce and sell it at higher rate - sabotaging the economy - Nigerian bankers are even worse than the BCDs and the reason giving dollars to banks instead of BCDs hasn't helped - the so-called youths are mostly professional criminals (yahoo-yahoo, kidnappers, etc) looking for riches without commensurate efforts/work - electricity distribution companies prefer to use estimated bills so they can extort consumers despite their obvious incompetence - the churches are cashing in on their gullible followers and giving them false hope in exchange - creating billionaires without commensurate addition of value to our GDP - nobody wants to farm or do hard work again - both literates and illiterates. And they all want to be rich in billions - Nigerians now running to other countries (they call it japa) as if they don't work for money in those places
We need a madman to rule this country - I don't care how he comes - military or civilian.
Farm for where? They would rather go and open channels on Youtube and TikTok... asking people to subscribe to their channels. Others go into Yahoo yahoo. The illiterates among them prefer Okada riding, kidnapping, etc.
OLAADEX: With profound gratitude, I deeply appreciate the Nigerian Navy for giving me the uncommon opportunity to imbibe discipline through a regimented procedure in the areas of career development, moral values, work ethics, to mention but a few. I can dauntlessly say that, I have the required intelligence and human development finesse to continue to live a prosperous life.
I urge all my fans to join me in appreciating the Chief of Naval Staff and all my senior colleagues for contributing immensely to my career development, while I used their pedestal to realize my duty of protecting and defending our dear Country. Sincerely, Nigerian Navy has become my roadmap to a sustainable career path.
I was overwhelmed with regards to the approval of my exit from the Navy by the Chief of Naval Staff so as for me to have enough time to passionately pursue my dreams. This singular act of the Chief of Naval Staff is highly terrific and it shows how the Navy is very passionate about the dreams of their officers.
I am still a part of the Nigerian Navy family, and I promise to continue to positively represent the Nigerian Navy either in Nigeria or abroad. I am proud to have served in Such an institution like the Nigerian Navy.
I want to sincerely appreciate all my Senior Colleagues, colleagues and junior colleagues who were very instrumental to my success story, for my wish to you is fair winds and following seas, because I know you will remain always faithful.
Fantastic! One by one, we will take what belongs to us back from looters. Let him rot in UK jail while we sell the properties and use the proceed to repay the loan used for constructing the second Niger bridge.
Nvestor02: There is a saying that the internet never forgets. I was young when Obi was governor, and I decided to verify the performance of Peter Obi when he was ruling Anambra before succumbing to some Obidients who have been urging me to support their candidate since early September in my area.
When I conducted this intensive research, I was so disappointed with what I saw. Many Indigenes of Anambra are complaining about bad roads, poor healthcare, and a lack of electricity during his tenure.
Some of them, who cannot hold their anger anymore with his reckless style of ruling, are cursing him, while many people are complaining about the high level of insecurity in the state.
It doesn't take me too much time before I base my verification on the decision that Peter Obi was never a person to praise for the people of Anambra; he did the opposite of everything that he says.
Peter Gregory Obi... A man who couldn't make any positive impact in the lives of Anambra people as governor wants to solve all Nigeria problems within weeks by... according to him "simply do the right thing"... like he did when he was Anambra governor
Obi is the most risible among the contestants. The man is debasing the contest for Nigeria's presidency.
Afikoo: Peter Obi had a zoom meeting with Obidient Support Group last night and someone complained to him about CBN freezing their support group account.
Obi said he also get ill treatment from some people too. He said some persons don't pick his calls again. Corruption will definitely fight back
What does that tell you? Rejection rejection rejection rejection... The earlier you step down for Tinubu the better. Otherwise, if you go aheda and still lose, you'll be bared from entering Lagos.
I tell you Obi will lose most of the states in SE. How will he win those states? How many of the SE political bigwigs are campaigning for him publicly or even covertly? Soludo will allow LP to take over Anambra? Obi will learn politics 101 in Feb 2023.
All those internet noise makers will be nowhere to be found on election day?
divinehand2003: In what appeared to be a reprisal probably to make up of for the loss of five governors, popularly known as the G-5, presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is currently in talks with five governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Disclosing the development to LEADERSHIP Friday yesterday, the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign organisation said the APC governors who are friends with Atiku have been consulting with the former vice president on how to support him.
According to the PDP campaign team, the five APC governors are willing to jump ship because they believe Atiku has a more believable manifesto and better experience to manage Nigeria.
One of the spokesmen of the PDP campaign team and former national publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, who gave the hint, told our correspondent that the move is ongoing just as the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, believes he can attempt to leverage on the situation within the PDP where five governors have distanced themselves from the party’s presidential campaign activities unless the PDP national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu resigns, resigns and is replaced by a southerner.
But in a swift reaction, the APC dismissed the claim by the opposition party, describing it as wishful thinking that indicates the opposition party in the country lacks plans and clear-cut strategy for the forthcoming general election.
LEADERSHIP Friday recalls that five PDP governors, namely Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) had repeatedly declared they won’t support Atiku’s campaign.
So far, some of the G-5 governors seem to be tilting towards the APC, with Wike recently endorsing the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
While the Rivers governor went further to donate money to APC women group in Lagos, his Oyo counterpart, Makinde, through his deputy, openly declared support for Tinubu’s presidential ambition when the APC presidential candidate met with Afenifere leaders in Pa Reuben Fasoranti’s residence in Akure, Ondo State.
Ologbondiyan however told this paper that talks with the Wike group is still ongoing, even as he revealed that APC governors are in talks with Atiku ahead of the 2023 polls.
He said, “As we speak there are no less than five governors of the APC, who are friends with our candidate, and who have been talking to our candidate with regards to the 2023 presidential election.
“They (APC governors) are convinced about Atiku’s relevant experience, not just any kind of experience as being bandied about by other candidates. They are also convinced about Atiku’s manifesto. They have looked at his manifesto and they are convinced about its believability and the capacity of Atiku to realise them.”
When asked to reveal the identities of the governors, Ologbondiyan noted that at the appropriate time, they will be revealed.
“At the right time Nigerians will know them. We don’t want to mention their names now. But I assure you at the appropriate time, Nigerians will see them.”
On the regions the governors are from, Ologbondiyan who refused to give specific details, added: “They are spread across the regions. Like I said at the appropriate time, Nigerians will know them.”
Your Wishful Thinking, Lack Of Plans – APC
But in a swift reaction, the APC described PDP’s claims as wishful thinking, saying it is a clear indication that the opposition party in the country lacks plans and clear-cut strategy for the forthcoming general election.
National publicity secretary of the governing party, Barr Felix Morka, told LEADERSHIP Friday that due to lack of agenda, the PDP had been grabbing on straws by springing up series of falsehood, from the law suit it filed recently against the APC to the current claim that five progressive governor are consulting to support Atiku for the 2023 presidential poll.
Morka said, “That’s wishful thinking; you can see clearly that they don’t have any plans for the next elections. They have no plans, they have no strategy. The other day they filed a law suit and now they are talking about five APC governors.
“So, clearly that is not an agenda for an election and it does not show a party that is serious about competing for power. They are just grabbing on straws, hoping that they can grab something that has a route but it’s just completely wishful. It’s not worth any reaction”.
Reiterating his earlier stance that the PDP is embarking on a voyage of “phantom and vain expedition” with the legal action and now claims of APC governor’s romancing Atiku, the APC spokesman restated his earlier stance that PDP is trapped in the abyss of internal contradictions
“Again, that’s the PDP setting itself on a phantom and vain expedition. It is obvious the PDP is rightly convinced of its failed 2023 engagement. Trapped in the abyss of its internal contradictions and intractable crisis, the PDP has resorted to grabbing straws and scratching the sand in hope of success.
“It betrays the extreme desperation and utter lack of competitive confidence to face 2023. To be clear, there shall be no political manna falling from the sky for the PDP. They should wake up from their inebriated slumber and smell the political coffee,” Morka reiterated.
Politics Of Religion Will Burn Down Nigeria, Wike Warns
Meanwhile, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has urged personnel of the various security agencies to stop taking sides with politicians who use all tactics, including religion to frustrate efforts at protecting life and property.
He insisted that Nigerian politicians must also stop the politics of religion in order not to burn the country down in the wake of campaigns towards the 2023 general elections.
Wike spoke yesterday when he hosted the new Rivers State commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong, who led a team of senior police officers on a courtesy visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The governor said, “We believe we owe this country and we must also stop this politics of religion so that we don’t instigate crisis and violence. You must go and tell the people what you can do, what we can offer.”
Wike maintained that his administration has remained committed to the protection of life and property of all residents in the State.
He said, “This is because of its belief that the people for which any development projects are provided must feel safe and alive to use them.”
The governor noted that any government that is unable to do so has failed in its responsibility and has no business being in governance.
He continued: “For me, there cannot be any good governance without the protection of life and property. Nobody can talk about good governance when there is insecurity everywhere. If you cannot protect your citizens, you have no need to talk about governance.
“Because if you’re doing roads, people must be alive to use the road. If you’re building good school, people must be alive to go to school.
“So, it is key that you owe your citizens protection of their lives and property. And so, for us as a government, that is the sole aim of being in government.”
He assured that since the security agencies are the institutions saddled with such duties, his administration has always and will continue to provide requisite support to them so that they can discharge their security operations effectively.
Wike expressed the hope that the new Commissioner of Police will bring his vast experience in operations and crime fighting to bear in Rivers State.
Acknowledging the effort of the Inspector General of Police, Woke hinted that the state government will build a befitting police station along Ada George Road in Port Harcourt.
In his remarks, Effiong, the 43rd Commissioner of Police to Rivers State said he would operate a policy of zero tolerance to crime and criminality.
Tinubu’s Manifesto Not Copy And Paste, Campaign Council Insists
Meanwhile, the APC presidential campaign council has again dispelled claims in certain quarters that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, plagiarized the Hope 93 manifesto of the late Chief M.K.O Abiola.
The director of Planning, Research and Strategy of the Directorate of Tinibu/Shettima campaign organisation, Dr Musa Babayo, insisted that Tinubu’s hope renewal manifesto is unique and not copy and paste as claimed by the opposition.
Speaking during the inauguration of the directorate in Abuja, Babayo noted that those peddling allegation of plagiarism were doing so to score cheap political gains.
According to him, unlike Abiola’s Hope 93 manifesto which has since been overtaken by events, Tinubu’s manifesto seeks to address contemporary challenges bedeviling Nigeria.
The director stated: “You know politicians have a way of distracting their audience from the message. Management is management. I am a professional manager and I know the basic principles of management are planning, coordination and control.
“It would continue to be in existence till the end of time. Nobody is going to reinvent the wheel. Issues keep on changing. This manifesto is not copy and paste. The manifesto is a brand new document that has incorporated some of the monumental challenges of the Nigerian state.
“There was no security challenge that was highlighted in the Hope 93 manifesto. There was no issue of the Maradi-Kano rail line in the 1993 hope manifesto. Nigeria of 1993 is different from Nigeria of today. Soon this administration would open the second Niger bridge.
“There was nothing like that in 1993. This is factual. So I want to dismiss in its entirety the comment made by the spokesperson of the other campaign organisation. They have the right to talk because we are already ahead in the competition.
“And when you are ahead of a competition, you should respect those behind you to try as much as possible to shrink your own share of the market share.”
Babayo further noted that the 2023 poll would be the most significant poll in the history of the country, adding however that Tinubu would emerge victorious at the 2023 poll,
He continued: “It is the most important election in this country for many reasons. This is a period in the world when the global economy is going through a drastic change. No nation in the world is isolated and isolated from the global phenomenon of economy, climate change and most importantly bringing the country together.
“This is a ticket that has been misconstrued, this is a ticket that would make the nation better than what it is today. This is a ticket that would end the political identity politics.”
Africum: The Presidential candidate for the Labour Party H.E Peter Obi says he's the most qualified to rule the country after President Muhammad Buhari. He therefore urged other candidates to come out and show their credentials.

pinkPUSSY: Despite the heavy/mass defection going on in the north from Ruling APC party to opposition PDP, there are still few people in the NE and NW who would like to vote for APC, but those few ones are switching their loyalty to Atiku due to what they perceive as an attack by southerners who are victimizing Atiku due to his ethnicity..
Atiku is getting more sympathy votes from the north, plus the fact that he has realised that he has lost his base to L.P. hence his desperation to penetrate northern region using all political tools available since this is his last chance to contest election..
The issue became so complex when Seyi Makinde who should be working for his party PDP declared his support for Tinubu because of tribal affiliation..
As a southerner who's a member of a political party, what would do if you see a party member campaigning for opposition due to tribal sentiments, won't you switch your loyalty ?... This is what is happening in the north
Even one popular clown from the north on this forum with the moniker Shortigboso.n is now campaigning for Atiku due to tribal sentiments even sarki too.
THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO RETAIN POWER AND SOUTHERNERS HAVE GIVEN THEM SUCH PLATFORM WITH THEIR MYOPIC WAY OF POLITICAL APPROACH
Biodun556: Nigerians create problems and blame the government.
CBN gives dollar to commercial banks to sell to Nigerians who will need them abroad but the commercial banks refused to sell to Nigerians instead handover the dollars to Abokis and bureau de change operators to sell at expensive and unofficial rate
This is my view too. 80% of the problems we have today are created by Nigerians. Unfortunately, the same people will turn around and blame the government. Even those who know the criminals still prefer to blame the government instead of blaming the criminals.
The government is changing currency which is its within the mandate and people were told to deposit whatever naira notes they have in bank accounts. Why is everybody running around buying dollars instead? Don't we know the implications of that? The same people are jumping online saying dollar is N900 and blaming gov
AsabaPropertyAg: 3RD NIGER BRIDGE is possible from 2025 if PDP is returned to Power in 2023 to manage the affairs of this Country, We have suffered enough in the hands of this bad APC Government and APC must not win in 2023, Nigerians must vote APC out.
I dreamt last Night about how PDP Government flagging off the construction of 3RD NIGER BRIDGE that terminated at Onitsha-Owerri Expressway by Ekwusigo Local Government Headquarters, it will be a welcome Development. Lets hope that PDP will win the 2023 Presidential election.
We are aware, PDP started the construction of 2ND NIGER BRIDGE, it was the PDP Government under former President Goodluck Jonathan that flagged off the construction of the bridge and actual work started before he left office in 2015.
Let's vote PDP for President.
PDP POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
Awon ole... They had good 16 years to actualize the 2nd Niger bridge, they didn't. Now that another government/party did it within 8 years in power, they're promising 3rd Niger bridge as if other regions and areas don't need bridges even more.
jimfarayola: Ijeoma Nwaogwugwu, the Managing Director of Arise TV, has resigned.
Nwaogwugwu, an influential journalist, it was gathered, resigned on Wednesday over some undisclosed issues.
Sources who confirmed her resignation on Thursday did not disclose the reason for her decision.
This is as attempts to speak with her were unsuccessful.
Nwaogwugwu edited all the titles of Thisday Newspapers. She was the Group Business Editor from where she rose to become the Saturday Editor, Sunday Editor and ultimately the Daily Editor.
In all, she was Editor for 11 years.
Ijeoma left Thisday as Daily Editor to become the Managing Director of Arise TV in 2018.
Arise TV and Thisday are owned by Nduka Obaigbena.
Under Ijeoma’s headship, Arise TV came into prominence.
Ijeoma, a graduate of Accounting from the University of Lagos, was listed as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women In Nigerian Media in 2020.

lekanolas: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu came under heavy criticism for denigrating the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Funke Akindele.
Tinubu had on Wednesday told his supporters that it is insulting to mention Akindele’s name in his presence.
Tinubu stated this at the Lagos APC secretariat on Acme Road in Ogba during the party’s caucus meeting.
His supporters during the meeting had sung a campaign song, describing Akindele as a political ‘ant’ compared to Tinubu’s anointed candidate, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,” the supporters sang.
“Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful,” Tinubu replied disdainfully.
But soon after the video of the event emerged online, netizens couldn’t help but call out Tinubu for his hypocrisy.
Commenting on Tinubu’s statement, a Twitter user wrote, “The Fact That Tinubu Is Vexed At The Mention Of Funke Akindele’s Name, It Means Whatever PDP, Jandor And Funke Are Doing In That Lagos, They Should Double It, E Dey Touch Amoda.”, While another said, “That Jagaban denigrating Funke Akindele. A woman who struggled from the grace to stardom? Who is Seyi Tinubu pls? This is an insult in womenfolks to be honest and this man doesn’t deserve our votes.
One social media user even asked whether Tinubu will have said this if Akindele was contessting under the APC platform . The comment read, “Tinubu said it’s disrespectful to mention Funke Akindele in his presence; Really? But I bet it won’t be disrespectful if she’s contesting on the APC platform or singing him praises. His statement reeks of pr!de, which isn’t surprising cos this is someone who feels very entitled..”
Under fire for what? Whoever doesn't want to be dragged shouldn't go into politics. And what Tinubu said is correct. Who is Funke where Sanwo Olu operates? Democracy is a leveler... otherwise...

blamingthedevil: The chances of Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, further received a boost, as the deputy chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Mayoress Olubukola Olayinka, officially defected to PDP in the state with hundreds of her supporters and followers.
Declaring her intention yesterday to dump her former party, Olubukola said, the Atiku/Okowa Campaign for the realization of 2023 presidency is a must achieved, warning Nigerians not to be swayed by empty promises from politicians who believed the number one seat in Nigeria is a souvenir they can take turn to get even in the face of what she called monumental failure of the present Federal Government in addressing the primary purpose of governance.
While berating the leadership of LP, she described Atiku as a unifier who has the political capacity, experience, and integrity to unite Nigerians.
“Being a retired custom boss and former Vice President of this country, Atiku Abubakar is the only candidate among all other candidates with the requisite political will to restore this country’s lost glory and unity.” She said.
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, says it is becoming difficult to convince Nigeria that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), can rescue the country.
Apart from the high rates of inflation, hunger and poverty, Nigeria is grappling with serious security challenges, ranging from Boko Haram insurgency in the North-east, violent Biafra agitation in the South-east, and kidnapping and banditry across the country.
Mr Wike said the marginalisation of the minority ethnic nationalities in the country caused much of Nigeria’s challenges.
He said it was becoming a “more difficult task” to convince Nigerians that the PDP can rescue the country.
Mr Wike said this on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, when the management of the New Telegraph newspaper visited him at the Government House to present its nomination of the Rivers governor as the Political Icon of the Year 2022.
The transcript of the meeting is posted on Governor Wike’s Facebook page.
“The problem in this country today is not only as a result of the banditry or kidnapping, no. Part of the issue that has to do with security is the issue of marginalisation.
“And I continue to tell our people or those who believe that they are dominant, you need peace for you to preside over those who you think do not have the number. You need peace. If there is no peace, it will be difficult,” the governor said.
Mr Wike and other governors who are his allies have been demanding the resignation of the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, to pave the way for a southerner to lead the party in order to achieve a “regional balance”.
The leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti says leaders of the group will no longer converge on Isoya Ogbo, Ijebu home of the acting leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Chief Ayo Adebanjo.
According to the elder statesman, the meetings of the organisation will henceforth hold in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
The NATION gathered that following the shifting of the meeting venue to the residence of the leader, Adebanjo may have ceased to be an acting leader.
Fasoranti, frontline educator and Second Republic Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, reiterated the group’s endorsement of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He rejected the insinuations that he was paid to endorse Tinubu, saying that he has been a man of principle all his life.
Fasoranti said those who started meeting at Ogbo after naming Adebanjo as acting leader misunderstood and misinterpreted him.
According to the newspaper, Pa Fasoranti lamented that the people shifted the meeting of Afenifere to Adebanjo’s residence because they felt he was becoming senile.
Kagd10: Gibberish. Shouldn't you be happy at the fact that Makinde is supporting APC candidate at the federal level if you weren't planning to betray Tinubu in the first place? You think we don't know your 2 faced tendency?
Where were you phools when APC Northern leader went to a national TV to say people should vote for Atiku?
What about the Adamawa APC gubernatorial candidate who placed Atiku on her bill board, where were these phools then?
Bunch of 2 faced miscreantsss.
Anyway, it's the Southern turn. Sink that into your skull. No Fulani can succeed a Fulani. It's not possible.
Don't mind them... And who he the APC campaign director in Kano other than Ganduje?
SATANICALLY666: Some APC members, fence sitters, Kwankwaso supporters, Tinubu supporters and influencers have openly declared their supports for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. This is coming days after Oyo state deputy governor, Adebayo Lawal, on behalf of his principal, Seyi Makinde, endorsed Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The new supporters said they will aggressively campaign and vote for Atiku in protest.
IfnobeGod20: Just simple question and you're hopping from left to right. Your life is occupied by the thought of Peter Obi. Obi began his political career from a humble background by joining APGA and he left APGA after his Governorship reign in 2014, precisely March and was appointed as a member of Economy Team of Mr. Jonathan for less than a year before given appointment as the director of SEC in March 2015 till May 2015. From 2015 till 2019 he held no other post aside been the vice presidential aspirant to Atiku, and his subsequent journey to LP after seen that the tide was against him in the PDP because the presidential ticket was acclaimed to have been bought, which later led to the fall out in PDP today. Let me quickly give you history you don't know. AD as a party was formed by Afenifere and after the formation, one of their pioneer, Bola Ige invited Tinubu to come and be Lagos state governor. Bought forms for him and canvassed for his enthronement as the governor of Lagos state in 1999. Meanwhile, same Afenifere was rooting for Bola Ige to be their presidential candidate but Tinubu who was helped by the same Bola Ige, went to support Olu Falae and joined forces with the outsiders and Bola Ige lost the presidential primary to Olu Falae. This was the beginning of Afenifere and Tinubu's fall out. In 1999 Afenifere did not support OBJ and he could not muster enough votes in south west, come 2003, Afenifere thought it wise to give their support to OBJ so that he can overwhelmingly win south west, which they did but it was only Tinubu that refused to give OBJ needed support. This infuriated Afenifere and pelt Tinubu with the group and this create feud within them and Tinubu used his power as a seating governor to polarized them and that is why we have today to groups, one called Afenifere Renewal Group and the main Afenifere. The Afenifere Renewal Group has been giving Lagos and Tinubu maximum support since the breakaway and Tinubu has been using all avenues to tout Afenifere. When he discovered he could not infiltrate into AD and control its organ, he left the party in 2006 and floated AC and this made them to be at loggerheads since then. Now that he needed their support, he went backtracked and as he can't infiltrate their leadership, he went through the back door to meet the former leader, Pa. Fasoranti, who has resigned from Afenifere activities due to his age. If not desperation, how is it hearable that you want to have understanding with a group and you went to meet an aged man and a former leader while the new leader is strong, active and lively. The leader of Afenifere and secretary were all absent from the meeting and you say you meet with Afenifere. The bottom line is, Afenifere would have been like Arewa Elders Forum that will be dictating political interest of the south west but the same Tinubu killed them and made them toothless bull dog. See the way the northern and south east and south South groups very active, only the south west own inactive. There is a common saying, you cannot eat your cake and still have it. If Tinubu had allowed the group to flourish, it would have been a political tool for the south west today but he used his self ambition to killed their aspirations of fronting for the Yorubas. Let me just stop here. If you need more, I will ditch them out for you.
ElSudani: Perhaps you need to explain to me why Obi was hopping from one party to the next. He even left the last one without having the decency to inform his associates in the PDP! Tinubu is builder, he has it in him to create things and make things happen like the creation of the AD. What are the accomplishments of Obi, what did he ever create? His business was even inherited from his father.
