Kagd10: The same people that betrayed Jonathan? Tinubu shouldn't put his eggs in one bag hence Tinubu should pick a North Central Christian man.
Hausas didn't owe Jonathan anything. GEJ was leading a corrupt government and therefore deserved to be voted against by any patriotic person whether Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba, or even Igbo.
Continue to dream.Imagine a Yoruba man saying Kano is in his pocket
Hausas don't think waywardly like igbos. They know the Yorubas have paid their dues supporting their man in 2015 and 2019. The payback will be loud in Feb. In Kano, all the major groups were even giving Tinubu blueprints they would want him to implement. It is a done deal man... You can begin to lick your wound now maybe it will heal before Feb 25.
It is clear Tinubu is the candidate to beat in both Lagos and Kano. The recent endorsement by various organizations in Kano corroborates this. Of course, Lagos is Tinubu and Tinubu is Lagos.
These two cities have the highest voters in the country - Lagos has 7m voters while Kano registered 6m voters. Whoever controls these cities definitely has an advantage which puts him far ahead of the other contenders. Given that most states in SW will follow the direction Lagos chooses, Kano will also influence the direction of votes in NW. Again, these are the largest voting blocks in the country.
Should we start congratulating Tinubu ahead of the election?
Rishi Sunak will become Britain’s next prime minister, prevailing in a chaotic Conservative Party leadership race on Monday after his remaining rival for the position, Penny Mordaunt, withdrew. He will be Britain’s third leader in seven weeks and the first prime minister of color in its history.
A former chancellor of the Exchequer who is the son of Indian immigrants, Mr. Sunak, 42, won the contest to replace the ousted Liz Truss, who resigned under pressure last Thursday after her economic agenda caused turmoil.
We only hope he won't join the list of "embattled" PMs who left the seat abruptly and unceremoniously.
And what's bad in bringing Abiola's manifesto to life again? Kudos to Tinubu for doing this. It means he actually believed in Abiola and probably one of the brains behind Obiola's manifesto.
When delivering his remark at the dinner organized in honor of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC, Governor Ganduje told the attendees that the dinner was an endorsement of Tinubu candidacy. This was responded to by everybody in the hall with a loud round of applause.
The first reasonable forecast since the start of electioneering. Obdidients, obidi@ts, and zombidients won't like this though... so, brace up for attacks from them.
oikirodah: Massive: So Tinubu Decided To Visit Kano And He Was Received This Way (Photos)
They do claim that politics is local, and I can now understand why, as a young man, I always loved the enormous crowds that such greats as Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Waziri, and others would draw when campaigning for president in the second republic.
The Jagaban visited Kano today, and the city came to a full halt. The crowd was more than intimidating. I wonder what his rivals' thoughts would be when they see the enormous gathering that announces the Jagaban's presence.
Wow, these images are truly mind-blowing; we eagerly await the campaigns in their prime.
Ahead of the 2023 general election, a support group working to actualize the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency, know as Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shettima-Disciples (BATS-D), has inaugurated its State and Local Government Coordinators in the five Eastern states of Nigeria.
The States include; Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo and Ebonyi State respectively.
The APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, while performing the inauguration, charged the State and LGAs Coordinators to properly, under the vision and mission of the socio-political group, harmonize their activities with other interest groups back in their various States.
It was observed that the event that took place in Awka, on Saturday, was well attended by members of the group from the five States of the South East geopolitical zone.
Speaking further, the National Youth Leader, stressed that there were silent majority of followers at the grassroot, hence, he charged the Coordinators to go and deepen activities of the group at their various wards and Council Areas to ensure victory for the party.
He noted that BATS-D, was in search of credible leadership which could be found in Ahmed Tinubu, believing that he would consolidate on gains of President Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2023.
He expressed confidence that APC will get 95 percent votes in the region.
In their seperate speeches, the Nigeria Ambassador to Burundi, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba and the National Coordinator of BATS-D, Engr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh, assure the Coordinators that the group leadership and the Tinubu Campaign team will always provide them the necessary assistance before, during and after the election.
They advised Ndi-Igbo to engaged other zones with political handshake, in order to sustain the benefits the region is getting from the National grid.
In his brief acceptance speech, the Anambra State Coordinator, Comrade Obinna Muomah, while appreciating the National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, Amb. Onyeagba, the Zonal Leadership of APC and other supporters of the party, urged Ndi-Igbo to shun politics of sentiment.
Tinubu everywhere you... This coming will be concluded before 12pm on Feb 25.
We've told them they must pay any amount they're asked to pay by our boys, otherwise, Alaba market will remain shut. This is our land and we can't create opportunities for you to make money without the landowners benefiting from it. All levies must be paid in full and they can even be reviewed upward without notice.
Today's walk by the youths of Lagos for Tinubu has exposed, again, the emptiness of the Obi's gatherings and their "mother of all rallies" recently held in Lagos. Lagos youths came out in their numbers to send a strong message to Nigerians that Lagos votes are for Tinubu. The coming election is not like the previous ones. This time around, Lagos is contesting for the presidency - this is how we see it. So, nobody should be deluded to the point of thinking Lagos will vote against herself. The same sentiment is shared across the SW and the Asiwaju's wave is sweeping up north across the Sahara desert to Sokoto, Burno, etc.
miqos02: apparently the CAN didn't consult it's members across board before making that decision. This only shows that the decision is not widely accepted among CAN, don't also forget that political parties has all religions and tribes as their members. They should have kept silent and allow people make their own decisions.
That also shows how incompetent the leadership of CAN is. When a few bigots sit down in a room to make a decision for a national body of christians, what do you expect?
Xscape1993: Nobody wants him as president. He forced his way through agberoism and toutism on the evil party and he will be force out at the poll come 2023. In a well developed society, the founder of agberos in Nigeria should be in a medical center.
Says who? Ghosts voted for him at the primaries? Zombidients and their irreparable dead brain
The leadership of Alaba International Market on Thursday justified why it shut down the market following Wednesday’s clash between traders and tax collectors.
The PUNCH reports thahttps://www.nairaland.com/7392840/real-owners-lagos-locked-alabat one person was feared killed and several others injured on Wednesday when traders clashed with some tax collectors, aka agberos, at the Alaba International Market, in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The warring factions, who were in their hundreds, deployed different weapons, including stones, cutlasses, wood and axes, during the affray.
A video clip seen by our correspondent on social media and confirmed to be from the clash, showed the two groups hurling cudgels at one another.
But in a statement on Thursday, the Alaba International Amalgamated Traders association said the need to protect lives and properties informed their decision to shut down the market.
“The extreme extortion going on, especially between Volkswagen bus stop and Alaba market is becoming so unbearable as traders are made to pay a fully cleared container or a truck a whooping sum of N70,000 to N100,000 before they can be allowed to convey their goods to the market; it is the same for those supplying goods from their warehouses.
“For traders who cannot afford or who hesitate to pay are either beaten up or wounded. Sadly enough, only yesterday we woke up to the information that a new loading point was to be instituted on the already constricted Alaba road which has already been taken over by petty traders who were given portions to display wares to the detriment of existing shop owners, also completely defacing this market of international repute.
“To ensure this issue was handled amicably, the Alaba amalgamated leaders quickly contacted the executive chairman of Ojo Local Government who promised to call them to order, we also contacted the interim caretaker committee chairman who also promised to call them to order but surprisingly on Tuesday the 19TH of October we were greeted with chaos in our market as hoodlums that we cannot quantify trooped into the market with guns, machete, and other dangerous weapons; shooting and maiming both buyers and traders who are doing their legitimate business to the extent that some were killed and several other wounded.
“To this end, we want to say enough is enough! The Alaba international market traders association has decided to shut down the entire market till further notice to avoid further loss of lives and property and will remain shut till:
“These criminals are arrested and brought to justice. The Removal of all kiosks/petty traders causing blockade along Alaba international market road. That all toll collection points will be at the Volkswagen bus stop and the chemists’ bus stop. The Reduction in outrageous fees collected from containers, trucks, and other vehicles,”.
Agbegbaorogboye: That's not how it is Bros. The Constitution states that the states should maintain a joint account for the federal allocation. That's why when Buhari tried to pay LG accounts separately, he was taken to court by NGF and judgment went in their favour
What do you mean by joint account? There is nothing like that in reality. What we have is a state government-controlled account into which the federal allocations (state and LGs) are paid. It's not a joint account because the LGs are not signatories to the account and they don't have a say in how the state gov chooses to allocate or use the funds.
And Buhari attempting to pay the LG funds into the LG accounts should tell you the LGs used to have their own accounts for direct federal allocation payment.
The PDP in their evil desire to rule the country for 60 years brought us to this point. The APC government has been working hard to change that.
blancsn1: I recently returned from Abuja by road and along the way the group I went with conducted a research which is yet to be released to the public but I have a few pointers as to how this election will pane out clearly in the Western North Western and North Eastern state we visited.
I know this might hurt but I want Obidient to know they need more work done, they probably need independent analyst to conduct research as to the electability of Peter Obi. Without beating round the bush our research findings concluded Peter Obi is not expected to record up to 10,000 votes in any of the SW NW NE NC state aside Lagos Abuja Benue where he will surpass that threshold comfortably.
Work need to be done in other state n am telling you a lot of work. Hopefully Peter Obi will not be another Maduka That Alex reporter chop his money with so much social media noise but he only got 2K vote in the election before he was rushed backed to the United States make he no go get cardiac arrest from the street wey dem run am.
Attached is Anamabra Guber election result, Maduka Godwin is number one on the list. Peter Obi is projected to score similar vote across the SW NC NE NE state with exception of state such as Lagos Abuja n Benue.
Another team covers the research in the SE n SS n yes he will have considerable vote over there 10,000 votes in almost all the state there with the hint I received.
For Obi in SW, it would be JAMB-like results... 120, 150, 200, 240, etc.
Agbegbaorogboye: What I'm hearing is the accounts are for the igr not for federal allocation. Is that correct?
Federal allocations go to the state and the state disburses to LGs/LCDAs accounts. Before the PDP changed it, LG funds were going directly into the accounts of the LGs from the FG. When the PDP came, the two (state and LGs funds) were lumped together and paid to the states with the expectation that the states would in turn disburse to LGs as required and oversee the the spending. Remember the infamous withholding of the Lagos state's allocation. It was the LG part of the funds that was withheld by OBJ over the LCDAs creation by Bola Ahmed Tinubu (the then Lagos state governor).
zionstaar75: I will never vote a Muslim Muslim ticket ever even with a gun to my head.Atiku is not even an option,u gerrit??if u don't then fogerrit
It's a Nigerian/Nigerian ticket. There is nothing like a muslim/muslim or muslim/christian ticket. Don't be a religious bigot. Religion won't solve any of our problems as a nation.
The reason is because the elites have had their ways and have taken all our oil wealth as their family estates. Then the Buharist in Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Sudan have also had their time, enough time have robbed the oil wealth, bankrupt and deleted NNPC and erase the books to cover their stealing and register a baby nnpc.
Now, it is time for Indigenous Obidient people from all tribes, who have remained obedient until now.
Nigeria will burn if the next election is rigged against the people's choice.
I pity you... Many of you will die for nothing if you jump out to protest or disturb the peace after losing in Feb.
Bro you need to have a dictionary beside you to appreciate the depth of that piece from Kperogi. Very strong adjectives which appropriately describe the scumbags called Obidients.
