I am not in your shoes to say that I know exactly how you feel, but I have an idea how difficult it is, going through the motions when your heart and mind isn't there anymore.

For me, it got to a point that when I was in the Kingdom Hall, I stopped using the new world translation and sometimes, I was reading something completely different from what was discussed during the meeting.

Keep your mind strong and don't let anybody intimidate you.

It is said that the most powerful thing on Earth is an idea, and Tom Harpur has tapped into the idea of "God within", that runs like an underground river in the mystical branches of the Abrahamic religions of our time, and on the surface of ancient religions and modern Eastern spirituality. Harpur ladles out a generous cup of this enlightenment and offers it to a spiritually parched mankind.

Gnosticism claims that all men have a spark of divinity within, and that enlightened religion involves developing this divinity and manifesting it in the world. The connections to ancient Egyptian sources are documented by authors Massey and Kuhn, and are used to show where many Biblical ideas may have come from. I would have added Sumerian, Mesopotamian, Babylonian, and the Greek Mystery religions to this, although one might argue that they had a common source.

Whether or not authors Massey and Kuhn are historically accurate, the "God within" theme is a mythologically based spirituality that can empower humans. Egyptian religion developed many powerful ideas in it's long history, and it's libraries were an important source of learning and diffusion of ideas.

Harpur makes the point that religion has too often used literal interpretation of scripture to justify hate and war. He offers the "God within" alternative as a fruitful way to break through the tribalism of modern religions into inclusiveness.

The Jesus story may well be a mythological reenactment of an older stories. As several authors have pointed out, there are few aspects of his story that can't be found in the various mythologies of the dying and resurrecting God/men in previous religions. The idea of a Creator God putting a spark of divinity into humans may also be mythological, but does speak to human aspiration to goodness in a way that both the religious person and the heretic can relate to. I would prefer to think of such a spark as "Godlike" rather than God endowed. All the same,The Pagan Christ is a provocative read.

Let me give you an instance. In 2000, I attended Reinhard Bonnke' s crusade in Lagos. In my presence, a 15 years old blind boy from my community began to see. This boy is today working in UK.

If the name of Jesus Christ can make someone born blind to see at the age of 15 , then it means that there is a Spiritual being known as Jesus Christ.

Both lslam and Buhaddism confirmed the existence of this Spiritual being hence I do not need to read the book of a philosopher to verify His existence.

Remember that some Philosopher also believe that Man particularly Africans come from ape and have also wriiten great books to back up their claims.

I have not read most of the books that you mentioned and might not have the time to read them.

However, the best way to verify if a man existed and is still existing is not by reading books claiming such man does not exist but having an encounter with Him.

For instance, if I visit White House and have a dinner with Joe Biden, then I do not need any book to verify if Joe Biden exist or not. Physical evidence is more concrete than literary evidence.

Even though Jesus Christ is a Spirit, there are physical evidence that He exist just as there are physical evidence that the Air we breathe exist.

Millions of people in our generation have had encounters with Jesus Christ. We have seen Cripples walk after having encounters with Jesus, we have seen deaf and dumb people talk after having encounter with Jesus.

We have seen Criminals become Missionaries after having encounters with Jesus.

These evidences are more concrete than any
envidence written by someone who might even be a fictional creature.

This arguement you referred to above, was covered extensively in this book - Who is this king of glory by Alvin Boyd Khun.

I am not arguing with the fact that people have seen "visions" or apparitions of "Jesus" - because in the inner depths of the human mind, there is a "divine mind" many of us are yet to realize.

But let me ask you, can these people who have had these visions decribe who they saw?

Did the person they saw in this "vision" look like the drawing of the white guy people popularly known as Jesus?

If yes, how can we trust such visions when there is no single archeological record that shows us how Jesus actually looked like?

So according to this Visa, BAT was born 1952.

I thought the DOB he submitted to INEC was 1954?

Isn't that illegal?

Which one should we follow?
