fbtowner: I get it you don't get my point. Its ok I'm not mad @ u ok GOOD! i am glad you made it clear that you are not mad, because you did make it seem like the whole mankind/world is coming to an end in your earlier comment because of an avoidable gas explotion in a small nigerian town, all these people had to do was apply a safety rules. If there are any in nigeria, but i doubt there are. |
Nairaland General › Re: Graphic Photos From The Anambra Gas Explosion by otiigba1(m): 10:42pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
Ijaya123: Exactly. We tend to spiritualise everything. Even things that are just common sense and that could avoided. precisely! All this could have been avoided if health and safety rules were implemented and followed by the owners of the company and followed by the employees but they would rather cut corners, hoping God will come down from haven and save them instead of using common sense. I am not even sure there are any safety rules in nigeria |
Nairaland General › Re: Graphic Photos From The Anambra Gas Explosion by otiigba1(m): 10:33pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
Ijaya123: When people are held responsible for such acts like this and punished, it prevents a reoccurrence because it will be known that you can't get away with such avoidable tragedy. Absolutely! But no, the people who caused this will get away with, probarbly blame it on the devil or on some witchcraft and nigerians will agree/believe. |
Nairaland General › Re: Graphic Photos From The Anambra Gas Explosion by otiigba1(m): 10:26pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
Nigerians do not follow health and safety rules, they like to cut corners, hoping God will come down from haven and help them and this is what happens when people ignore health and safety rules. All this deaths could have been avoided. Perhaps they were believing it would never happen to them because their pastor says so. |

fbtowner: Lord have mercy
then I ask myself what crime have these ppl committed to deserve this kind of death
I feel God doesn't interact with man anymore. We just need to fight for ourselves so the human generation won't go into extinction.
Which way my ppl what do you mean humans will go into extinction? Just because of a gas explotion in a small town in nigeria, now all human will go into extinction? Calm down man! Human are and will not go into extinction okay? In two months time this incident will be forgoten, do not panic |

dabossman: Lol! Of course the dressing is totally inappropriate. I would never encourage a lady to show her boobs in public in that manner. What I'm addressing is the way people are so quick to shout "olympus has fallen" even when boobs look this firm and rounded.
Even with guys, if we were to drop our boxers, you would find different shapes and sizes whether at rest or at attention. From shrivelled up models to snout nosed ones. true talk, i see nothing wrong with them boobs, they all looks firm to me. |

dabossman: You know, I always find it appalling when ladies who should know that boobs come in different shapes and sizes make statements like that of prettydiva. Those ladies boobs are big and look firm. They will hardly stand pointed on her chest but are bound to rest on her chest and hang low. That size will find it hard to defy the law of gravity.
Thanks for telling those ladies some home truths. Thanks to push up bras, some for no get mouth. for a man, you sure do know a lot about boobs, damn! , anyway the question is, do you think its appropriate to display them in public in this manner? |

Mcowubaba: My brother, that's exactly what I'm saying oo... U rarely see them, u don't even see their hilux/car passing..lie lie Unless there is a "very" serious national emergency..... . One was our neighbour in Gastown, he was so nice, it took us years to knw he was in the Canadian army.. If na for naija, army man go post him sticker for car, door, dustbin, micro-wave, even hang him uniform for inside car.. LOL! At post sticker on dust bin and micro-wave, exactly this is because an army personnel in nigeria sees his job/uniform as an audacity/power to extort, brutalise and intimidate innocent nigerians even an ordinary immigration officer brutalises and intimidates nigerians with his uniform/position. |

I feel some people, somewhere are engineering these things, I may be wrong , but its just a gut feeling. One question I would like to ask is this, who will be the greatest beneficiaries (in a lot of areas) should a wat erupt in this country ?? precisely! You may not be wrong, i have got the same feeling too, some people some were are trying to destroy nigeria just like they did to libya, iraq (oil)and afganistan (opium) . One can not trust the American, and British gorvernment |

Mcowubaba: Emmmh
But seriously Nigeria has a very long way to go with regards to human right nd justice... I think we should be colonized again... we are not capable of handling ourselves
Naija police d kill nd arrest innocent civilians everyday . Na only 4 Nigeria u go hear military people d call its citizens-"bloody civilian" ..as if dem no get blood too
Buhari nd DSS dey disobey court order steady!! Lastma Lawma
But seriously, in Canada nd England, u don't see military people anyhw, the respect themselves nd most of them are very nice.
For naija, Army man fit fuxk u up for supermarket, for mami market (corpers understand), for main road, for bank, for ATM line, for Airport, them fit even drag ur babe with u ..haba .. Dem no dey stay barracks eh .. seriously! Nigeria is a zoo, i ve not seen an army man on the streets over here ever, Even when you see one they are usually not in uniform, in fact they do not even want any one to recognise them, unless they tell you, you can never tell they are in the army |

dearpreye: My dear, you're simply justifying disorder and confusion. You're simply justifying very terrible national values.
I don't believe it's about following some silly European standards like you put it BUT it's about living with some sanity and sensible values as a people. Nigerians live like they're going to die tomorrow- always in a hurry to NOWHERE. Many of us Nigerians aren't truly happy with the terrible habits most Nigerians exhibit.
I was on a flight to PH from Lagos some years back. As soon as the pilot announced our descent into the PH airport I could see the impatience and confusion amongst us. It's like some of us wanted to fly out from the plane. That was the most disgusting attitude I've witnessed abroad a plane. Would you call that a sensible and civilised behaviour? Is that the sane procedure into the advanced Asian nations?
What about almost everyone shouting over the phone before the plane even landed? Why the immigration wahala? Because we don't have a working system. No one is saying Nigerians should copy all the behaviour they see from the Europeans but it become depressing when a people have no sense of value and ethics.
Whether we accept it or not, Nigeria has a lot of catching up to do. If some of you are happy with being Nigerian by breaking all known laws of order and sanity, some of us aren't. i can understand your position, but this behaviours are not only by nigerians. Its the same with most african countries especially the under developed ones. |
