Women say one thing and mean another.

Know this and stop worrying yourself unnecessarily over what they say.

Watch her action, that is what reveals her true nature.
RomanceRe: When A Beautiful Woman Reject You, Say This Immediately by otipoju(m):
True words.

When I was younger the mindset my bros taught me to approach women with,is the expectation that she would say either yes or no...she can't do more than that.

If she says yes. Honor her, set up next steps then leave.

If she says no, thank her for her patience in hearing you out and wish her best of luck , then leave.

Then in the era of no phones, we would assign a young boy to escort her home during the day to know where she lives...then we show up together when it's a little dark.

Non digital communication in dating was sweet and creative. Short notes sent by intermediaries, coded whistles, pre arranged spots and times, red herrings and going into the compound by the back door instead of the front where everyone is gathered in the evening.

Now all your have is dumb ugly girls dancing naked on social media with thirsty boys watching. They don't know how to "scope", "psyche" or "cajole" as we used to call it then.

Um...stating that an 18-year old is regarded as an adult by law has little to nothing to do with whether or not said individual is still a dependent or not. Most 18-year-old remain dependents and rightly so. This is in no way unique to your Nigeria at all.
Here's an explanation of what the age of maturity is really about as taken from Wikipedia
What exactly are you arguing about.
FamilyRe: My Fiancee Came To Live With Me - Then This Happened... by otipoju(m): 5:14am On Jul 29, 2023
Kobojunkie:
An 18-year-old is practically adult age even in Nigeria by law. There are no local customs that stop one from dating at that age. So, you telling OP that he ought to have gotten consent is... based on what? undecided

According to the OP's story, the gal was not kidnapped, nor was she held against her free will. She even asked to remain with him. Her mother and the hoodlums she hired violated OP's rights, as well as the gal, 's in this. This is 2023 for Pete's sake. We ought to be calling for all to mend their ways so Nigeria as a whole can finally begin to get it right. Not beating about the bush in an attempt to maintain the closeminded views that have kept Nigeria tied down as it is. undecided
I have heard you. Having a rational discussion with folks like you is burdensome. A typical 18 year old Nigerian is still heavily dependent on the parents.

Most of us were until we graduated from University and started working.

No just dey argue for argument sake.

Due to her age you ought to have got consent from her parents.

You have to always look at things from a 360* perspective....for intended and unintended consequences.

Your mom too should have checked you and gone to her parents.

Whatever she is facing at home is their family matter.

USD4,000/month is a big deal in the US. Few Nigerians earn it. First off, when did immigrants and oyinbos start earning equal pay for the same job donehuh cheesy LMAO

Also, you are trying to rule out racism. For realhuh Nigerians have an edge over oyinbos, latinos and Indianshuh Dey play cheesy

Next, that I am based in Nigeria does not mean I cannot travel round the world on holidays. I just can't stay abroad and be enslaved by the system.

What elsehuh
No wahala.

You think sey oyinbo dey do tribalism where generating money is involved.

You think USA is a capitalist economy for nothing?

You think a Business owner in USA will leave a Nigerian that can give him results that will bring revenue and trump his competition and go and pick a relative or same race that does not know anything or is not good enough?

Like I said, you don't know what you are saying and we will keep moving in circles. I know your type well.

None of them corroborates with the fictitious figures you quoted earlier.

In fact, the higher earners are in the medical field.

I don't see Nigerians bagging all these jobs. What will the oyinbo people be doinghuh What of the latinoshuh What of the Indianshuh

Dey play cheesy
I hope you know what you have there are average salaries. Years of experience, seniority and location have not been accounted for.

We have gone in circles from its impossible to earn more than 4,000 $ a month to its not possible to do two to three jobs to it the figures do not tally to the highest paying jobs are in the medical science( do you even know what the STEM courses that i said earlier mean...I know your type well.

Se him even limiting Nigerians in USA by saying they cannot compete with Indians and latinos and Caucasians whereas Nigerians are the most educated immigrant groups meaning the have PhD ,Masters and Bachelors degree from the USA. We compete fiercely with the world and we are coming out tops.

I don't have time to waste with you. Stay in your small pond and be eating catfish peppersoup and beer every day and think you are living the life.

There are worlds that exist that you do not even know about.

Nigerians are also doing such jobs abroad from their rooms in Nigeria. My cousin is one of them. There's no way one can do 2 or 3 at the same time. Calm down.

Again I ask, how much is US president's salaryhuh cheesy cheesy cheesy
The USA President salary is $400,000 per annum.

It is very common among remote workers to hold 2 to 3 jobs. Extremely common sef.

You said earning 4,000 per month is a one off?

In the final analysis, the richer/richest Nigerians are still here - based here - no matter how you look at it.

Continue quoting imaginary figures to feel good. I am telling you of raw facts, you are hypothesising and speculating. Damn! angry

How much is the US president's salary sefhuh cheesy cheesy cheesy
Lol. I was expecting you to say exactly this.

Google is your best friend. You can Google salaries of Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Data Analysts, Software developers, Solution Architects, Cyber security engineers, Database Administrators and even Travel Nurses in USA and then add up the figures yourself for a person working two or three jobs remotely from the comfort of your room.

You earn over 4000 dollars per month in the UShuh

Well, one-off cases like yours are bound to exist.

Here too I know people who earn millions every month even in where I work.

4000 dollars is worth less in US than 4,000,000 is in Nigeria. All the devaluation doesn't have much effect in our local economy.
A whole lot of smart young west Africans are clocking over $150,000 to $200,000 per annum working in various STEM jobs.

Some badass workaholics will work 4 remote jobs and rake in $350,000 to $750,000 dollars per annum.

Sit down there make you dey compare Nigeria with land of opportunity. When weekly pay check from the confines of my closet is about 3k weekly.

Even renting out two good cars on TURO alone close to the airport will give you $4,000 monthly in a city like Atlanta .

Your leaders are oppressing you and you are making stupid excuses for them.

Sending money back home is the only good reason why you are abroad. Otherwise, it's just a change of environment.

The fact is that dollars is worth more in value here in Nigeria than it is in the US.

So in essence, you are slaving for people back home. You can't come back and enjoy the fruit of your labour. You guys are stuck sort of.

Be sincere, how many left do you have to pay off your mortgageshuh cheesy

Back here people are doing very well despite the crisis. We dedicate cars and houses in our church every now and then. cool
I have way more than enough.

All my expenses are about 4,000 dollars a month. Utilities, Insurance, Mortgage and Groceries. I have way more than that as extra monthly.

....from one job oo. Side hustle never dey oo.

When you get to a system and country that works...reduce yourself and gain in demand skills and certifications and earn good.

Like I said stop lying to yourself.

House rent in US is 500,000 naira per month

Tax is a little less than that.

At the end you are just slightly better than the guy in Nigeria

It's just that whatever change you can manage to toss home after working like a slave can achieve a lot in Nigeria.
Stop lying to yourself.

My last job in Nigeria over a decade ago was about 1k a month.

I traveled and started to work and within 4 months, I had saved enough to buy a car for the first time ever.

In USA jobs are easy to get and we change jobs like wrappers. We have more than enough to eat, to flex, to travel for fun, to send home for friends and relatives , to buy land and build houses and cars for family back home. While living with excellent social and medical amenities.

Stop lying to yourself...and call out evil for what it is.

COMPAQ:
Yes rent in Nigeria is actually cheap, especially outside Lagos, Abuja and maybe PH. My parents standard 3 bedroom bungalow in Ibadan is going for N700k in Ashi-Bodija area. To find people sef na war. Ibadan has no middle class. Only UI lecturers, UCH doctors/nurses and civil servants in that town.

If I uprooted that house to Gbadaga in Lagos, it'd be like N2.5mln

But even a N5mln per annum duplex in Lekki is just $6,250 equivalent.

My 4 bedroom duplex in Houston goes for $2,500 PER MONTH. That's equivalent of N24mln per annum.
In that Houston...
do you have 24 hour power supply to your house? Yes.

Do you have pipe borne water to all the kitchen, toilet and bathrooms with two taps on both side of the house for washing cars?

Yes. Do you have a public gas pipe direct to your kitchen for cooking? Yes.

Do you have internet in your house 24 hours? Yes.

Do you have Police that you can call and they can be there in 5 minutes? Yes.

Does your house have a 4 car carage? Yes. two spaces inside two in the driveway outside.

Can you drive from your doorstep for 14 hours to my doorstep in Atlanta on a very smooth road without any pot hole? Yes

No dey take sleep compare death.

That 1 million average that I gave is an extremely low number for very less developed areas in the cities and they are apartments.

A 3 bedroom flat for rent in Ikeja goes for like 16 million per annum.

Like I said you guys should stop being wicked. Soon there will be no place to hide for you. When hunger pushes the people to do desperate things.
