This is yet another consequence of the incredibly idiotic overcentralized system we run in Nigeria. Even the USA whose federalism we blindly copy pasted have state police and grassroot local county sheriff forces. Imagine a working governor unable to control the police force of his state, effectively he can't even declare a state of emergency on his own. Imagine! How will an "Ade" from Oyo understand the workings of Sokoto state? How will Chibuzor from Abia be effective in Benue? how will bala from Jigawa understand the complexities oF Rivers State gangs Radical decentralization of the police force plus grassroot recruitment is needed, Eben if just for local Community patriotism, but nah we'll rather just remain obtusely stupid!! NONSENSE!!!! |

globemoney: The bold shows you dont know anything about hip hop or kendrick lamar. I doubt you've listened to GKMC.. For the benefit of doubt anyway can you mention better story telling songs on FHD and 4 your eyes only than...
Peer Pressure Sing about me
This must be a minority because TPAP with it's jazz vibes is one of the highest rated hip hop albums of all time..
Most of you want to use your little knowledge to argue with people with greater information than you! OK ok Bye. |
Celebrities › Re: J. Cole Arrives Nigeria Ahead Of His Performance With Wizkid & Davido Tomorrow by Outofsync(m): 1:59pm On Apr 26, 2018 |
globemoney: Lol.. Kendrick is more lyrical, has better flows, better storyteller than cole, you dont like him is a personal opinion but not because of the reasons you gave, there is no cole album as lyrical as TBAP, none with better storytelling as GKMC, none with better flows like DAMN. And I didnt get where you got your "real hip hop fans find it hard to listen to kendrick" when kendrick is already being rated as the greatest rapper of all time by real hip hop heads. I'm not going down the path of arguing with you bro. I'm a huge Kung Fu Kenny fan so saying I don't like him is dumb I rate FHD and 4 your eyez only as better in story telling than GKMC and Damn. I'll concede Section 80 (esp Bleep your ethnicity) was heavenly.... BUT it's still not a competition Mon... And yes, I repeat this, some people DO NOT LIKE jazzy blues Kendrick uses in albums more often these days. Seriously, and they are huge hip fans. for Bleep sake, kendrick was regarded as "nerdy underground music" till maybe 2014/15 And again, I'm not arguing who's greatest with you. If you can't see that so far from my posts, then GOMD. |

chukzyfcbb: I wasn't going to compare them and truly yea they both respect each other. Even got fans anticipating a duo mixtape.
But when I hear someone say Cole is higher than K.dot I cringe.
There is a reason why I like BIGGY over PAC. BIGGY let's the music take over you, flows as slippery as eel. while PAC always have it hardened up most of the time.
Sane here, J.Cole has a way of telling stories in his rap, but u need to be prepared to listen to it. With Kendrick, he has this very catchy flow that you would listen to it even if you didn't plan to.
To me, sometimes J.Cole makes me feel sleepy lol. Kendrick awaken my senses.
likewise PAC lines I must be prepared to listen to understand but with BIGGY, I just fall in love with the flow before the actual lines
When I got the DAMN album. I didn't need to think twice that this would be the beat RAP ALBUM.
for now let J.Cole enjoy the moment. JOYNER LUCAS album could drop this year and that would be a Contender for Best Rap Album • Everyone has their preferences, you enjoy flows, others enjoy hard lyrics. It's like coke and fanta, so why the whole hassle. Some people, real Hip Hop fans, find it hard to listen to Kendrick PRECISELY because of the flows you like. They don't like jazzy or soft tempo Kdot uses in his songs, they, ironically, also says it makes them sleep! I personally cannot listen to Lamar unless there is silence all around me because I always want to catch the lyrics but Cole, omo, na everywhere I fit hear am. And there are obsessed fans everywhere, ignore em and just enjoy the music bro. P. S : Lucas is channelling Cole, like kilode. He's rising but he isn't there yet. He and logic still dey beef |

MrMystrO: Exactly. To me and real music fans like me, there was no competition and there will never be. I have learnt to appreciate them both for at least keeping good hip hop alive in a time of madness and carnage that we have now called "Hiphop" music.
I rate them both differently at different phases in my life. Although i have been listening to them both since 2008, When To p!mp a butterfly dropped, Kendrick Lamar was like the Savior of the world to me at that point because the album saved my life and helped me fight a very strong and almost suicidal depression i was going through at that time.
But then when he started dropping more commercial songs i started drifting more to cole for those deeper minded emotions i always long for in Rap music, which «For your eyes Only" kept me on ground very strong and eventually made Cole my current fav rapper till now, maybe until Kendrick drops something very very deep again like he always does. So I'll just say, we should be grateful for the both of them and for being alive in their time. Duality is the color of life, Played by God in everything, which should be enjoyed.. Wizkid davido, Ronaldo Messi, Kendrick Cole, Whatever man why can't you just enjoy them instead of argue who's the greatest and spoil the fun everytime? F*ck!!! Truth brother, truth! It all has to do with your current state of mind and your life in general when listening to those two icons. I can never forget the first time I heard "Be free" and "January 28", the concepts of the songs were so relatable to challenges then that I felt he was peeking through my soul when he wrote that song. And Lamar, "Alright" and "These walls" has legit saved someone I know from insanity , no jokes, and DAMN.... is damn crazy. The way they tell stories so beautifully with the slick wordplay and lyrical sophistication, and the REALNESS oF these works.... just genius. People who compare them to me are just the guady kinda people intrested more in "fitting in" or the annoying uber obsessed kinda fans who just literally become Hip Hop Jehovah witnesses, shoving the "facts" at your face whether you like it or not The fans need to stop their useless infighting and band against the new nonsense Hip Hop has become (I'm not looking at Lil pump..... ah swear ) |

chukzyfcbb: Haha Cole has never and will never be above K.dot (Kendrick Lamar).
Go listen to Black Friday by Kenridck Lamar, a beat J.Cole used I think in one of his forest hills album. and u will never listen to J.Coles track where he jumped on the same beat.
Kendrick Lamar took the beat, bodied it and left listeners gasping for me. Mind you this was bout 3yrs plus.
Download Black friday by Kendrick Lamar, and compare it to the same track where J.Cole jumped on the same beat.
Its incomparable. The thing is... both of them are not in competition. They have great mutual respect for each other and are just dedicated to the music. As far as "Let Nas Down", Cole said " So I can show them the difference between the pretenders and the Kendrick Lamars" It's not a fight. Life can be so much pain, but it can also bring lyrical masters into our lives . How will you respond? KOD |

a delugajackson:

Is this even still a discussion?
Reviews condition people. At the end of the day, a lot of human minds are malleable. They can be easily shaped with the right words. Jesus never despised the sinners, he taught them the right way of life. He never sent them away, as the case of Mary Magdalene, the prostitute. He even dined with them, as was the case of Zaccheaus, the tax collector.
The over-zealous atittude of today's churches would be their impending doom. Jesus also whipped out people from the temple Paul also told us not to be unevenly yoked and to dress modestly, decentlyit's foolishness to imagine you can change people's perception of a wrong thing after you've seemingly embraced it, The Catholic Church's acceptance of homosexuals into their midst just proves it further. Way better that there are 10 pious folks in a church than a million filthy souls. Iranu |

Uyiii: so you are using the guy's 5years misfortune till now to judge and generalise his whole life and even had the stupid effrontery to advise fellow wretched girls like you that's gonna see the sense in the nonsense you vomited as an advise. first and foremost, marriage isn't a poverty alleviation scheme for hopeless entities which of course, chinenye ada is an example of such. the man mustn't only be the rich and ambitious one here, what's bad if your distant relative is rich like Linda and isn't faced with the challenge of choosing a rich guy over a poor one she truly loves.
secondly, you spewing gibberish on instagram on how she's in the u.s and about to birth the third child, this of course are the positives of her marriage, so you think she'll tell you the challenges she's been having in the marriage knowing fully well you have a brain soaked with hypo and will hardly comprehend happiness in life isn't all about money.
thirdly, girls like you are one of the numerous reasons I don't find fault in guys who use you for money rituals. if you're even used for money ritual, I don't think there's gonna be any profit at all because your mentality is so poor and needs to be alleviated
if God forbidden were to be a human being, it would have been you, see how she do head like ice block. nansix Ma nigga!! |
