In as much as a support helping the needy I think most times people send too much home and people are becoming lazy and too dependent.

Number 4 had me rolling. Debt care. People do not even bother paying. Everybody in Nigeria buys everything on credit makeup is bought on credit. Was it not here that someone said that she sold a piece of fabric to someone at her church and the woman refused to pay but sewed an outfit with the fabric and even wears it to church so that the poor woman who sold it to her can even see. Please Nigerians are the worst when it comes to credit

Now this I love. It is not exactly lilac but it's in the family. Even with the flowers it still does not come off as a feminine room. Very sexy room. Is that Malcolm X in that picture. Love the picture too

This room is sort of masculine. It is hard to make lilac masculine but if you swap those covers for black covers and hang art on the wall that have a dark background and accessorize with black all through then it might work and your girlfriend might not think you are gay LOL. So think dark furniture. If you think you do not want to spend too much now as this is a temporary place then go to a goodwill store and buy wood pieces that you can paint black. That won't cost much but can be a fun project. I will find more pictures

Abeg don't pay someone to do it. Just buy a can and plan a saturday to do it. In fact you can paint a nice sized room in less than two hours and it is fun too. I will put up some pictures I can find for you so you can figure out what style you like and how you can accessorize on lilac. I know wall paper can be a very trying task to remove and I would not recommend that either. You can definitely paint over wall paper though

Are you renting and the landlord will not allow you to paint? Otherwise why don't you change the color? A can of paint is cheap and I painted some of the rooms in my house myself. I guess I need to know if you are in Nigeria first.

I think this could be a unisex room. Lilac is hard to make masculine when it is the anchor color. Does the wallpaper have a pattern or is it plain?

Africa gets on my nerves sometimes. When I see these young people who have so much to offer being reduced to almost non human because there seems to be no hope. Many of these people come overseas and make it. You see them 3 years from now and you will not believe their story. It's almost like other people appreciate Africans more. If not for the wonderful people we are but at least they can depend on the fact that they can make money from Africans because most are hardworking people who will do anything to succeed legally. What do people in power in African countries do? They sit up there and scratch their balls while pictures like this surface all over the web so that people can see how pathetic and disgraceful most African countries are

What if the girl getting married was your sister/cousin/niece? Would you still be silent over the matter  cry  undecided sad  angry  embarassed  lipsrsealed
I am sure they will still say it is okay. People are just like that. I guess it is better to just let her drown because after all they did not push her into the water. The poster says she knows the man frequents a gay bar. All she has to do is tell the woman anonymously. If the woman is smart she will do the rest herself. I don't know how someone can say that it is too late to tell her now because the wedding is not too far away. WTH. Is it when she has kids with the man that it will be easier for herhuhhuh There is a Nigerian woman in the US that is living with this now. I don't know if they had children but I know that her husband is now living an openly gay lifestyle.

I went to my dad's village meeting here in the US once and they were collecting dues and some of the women felt like they should pay less than the men because they are women LOL. My little sister got upset at them and I have to say she speaks her mind. She said why would you want to pay less when you are not a lesser human being. She pissed of all those women that day kai. My uncles were silently laughing. At the end everybody stayed paying the same dues. Everything should be based on a percentage

This is really scary o. I think she needs to know but anonymously since you do not know her like that. Can you imagine this woman marrying a gay man and having children then have to leave the man for his boyfriend and she is even Nigerian. That is enough to kill someone. Don't make it a subject of gossip. Don't mention it to anyone but I think you should get the message to her. It could be that he works at the gay club as a stripper but that poor woman needs to know before they are married. If they were already married then it would be a different story. She has not made the mistake yet

How does Kobujunkie know he took time to plan what he did. Is it because he cleaned out his apartment because even the army has said this is normal for people that are about to be deployed. So what information do you have that makes you thin he took time out to plan it.

Your whole 9/11 thing is simply irritating. You are being purposely simplistic for no other reason but to try to carry a point that even you cannot hold. Why don't you wear a burqa in Newyork city and hang around doing nothing like the average joe in khakis on a New york city train and see how much people have forgotten. People have not forgotten and people still need a reason to be angry. You are not living it so you do not know. This particular guy was harassed because of his religious beliefs and we only know this now because he went and killed all those people. You have no point. If he really was so anti american why would he wear his army uniforms to go pray at his mosque. He wore the uniform as an American and somewhere down the road things went crazy. Nobody is saying what he did is right but don't sit down there in the midwest and talk about how life is back to normal for the whole of america since 9/11. It is not even normal for someone like me not to talk of someone who drives a car that says "Allah is love"
Foreign Affairs › Re: Army Doctor Murders 11 Soldiers, Wounding 31 Others In Fort Hood Texas by Outstrip(f): 7:29pm On Nov 09, 2009
Wow. I can never excuse this evil that this man has done but let us look at the whole picture. This man was harrassed. His car was vandalized by another soldier and I am sure he endured more. He joined the army not to do anything evil. He just let evil overtake thoughts and he did this. This is not the average devil strapping themselves with a bomb and detonating it. He had neighbours like you and me who liked him. He gave out the left over food in his freezer before he was supposed to leave for Iraq. I still feel that this man snapped at the last minute.

Many Nigerians fight in the US army now. In fact some have already died in Iraq. If the US goes to war with Nigeria don't you think that there are people who will be tormented by thishuh? He was tormented. All you need to do is be a muslim in America today to feel the heat he might have been feeling. 9/11 changed out lives significantly and it is hard for any of us to forget and many people have not forgiven (I can't say I have either) but when you are being shipped off to war to fight "the enemy" who you see as your brother then,

Actually I have found that most Nigerian churches will turn a blind eye to wife beating. How can a pastor tell a man not to beat his wife when he beats his own wife. More than likely the church will tell her to stay and keep praying. I have seen it time and time again.

Exactly, That is what we are saying. If she could go back then when the pain was still fresh then she can go back over and over again
It is really not that easy. I was not surprised at all that she initially went back. Especially as she said they were very much in love. Keep in mind that it was not just a break up on their own. Others were involved. P Diddy had given them his house for the weekend (so said reports) because I am sure that from a business point of view people were pressuring her not to say much and stay with him at least for a while. Even without all the pressure because of money, emotionally it was bound to happen. I really don't understand why people are shocked that she went back. Even from the threads here on Nairaland you should know that it even happened. Women do it a lot especially when a man cheats. Even when they have decided to leave him they still go back for that one last sex just to make sure LOL

RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWN ARE NOT TOGETHER. She was referring to when she went back with him right after the incident and she is right. Most women will do that. You just don't walk away from an abusive relationship just like that. It is a process. She is not with him now
Celebrities › Re: Rihanna Regrets Returning To Chris Brown After Attack by Outstrip(f): 3:39am On Nov 09, 2009
Chris Brown has been on Larry King. It doesn't get bigger than that. I don't know what you mean by when will he get a chance. He was also on MTV a few days ago. He has had time after time to say something but he has not. If Rihanna really hit him or even pinched him we would see a mark on that his high yellow skin. The guy just went postal that's all. When he gave his Larry King interview he said he did not remember the details of what happened and that when he read the police report he was shocked that he had injured her so badly. I was even calling him a liar but I was wrong because Rihanna actually said that when Chris Brown was hitting her she had looked at him and it felt like he was not there. I think he has not an anger problem but a RAGE problem. He needs a psychiatrist. A rage where you mentally blank out can lead to you killing someone.

KB1:
Oh, please that chick whipped up on Chris just as much as he did on her. Neither of them should of been hitting on the other. When is someone going to allow Chris to say his part in public?
