I haven't seen a sizeable amount of dramas which is funny when I think about it because I've been into this stuff for a long time.

Also, when I was trying to think of a list I realised that a lot of the ones I've watched that I thought I liked at the time weren't actually THAT good to me, e.g. Heirs, I remember the hype around it when it first came out but I watched it again recently and found it quite lacklustre lol

@Vivee001... You have no idea the massive good you have done me! I hate to start a show and then like three episodes into it, everything becomes so dreary, it makes me feel all puky..lol. Perhaps, it's because most of the time, my taste is particularly singular and I would spurn everything that doesn't focus on romance. That is not to say that I have found all romance stories to be exceptional, though.

Goblin for one, didn't do it for me, even though a whole lot of people reviewed it positively. Then, I found Her Private Life to be "just there"...
I was quite taken with Healer and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young, I've come to know are the best kissers in K-dramas.

Anyway, thanks again for having my time. I'll always cherish the verrry best from personal experiences. Almost never from ticket office sales.

The bulling scenes in some of the k dramas can be so disturbing, I can usually stomach them if there is some form of retribution, otherwise I can actually stop watching a drama if there isn't

What are some of your k drama pet peeves

1. I understand that unrequited love is a real thing but I can't stand it when a character who is 'victim' of one sided love has absolutely no self respect urgh

2. Bullying with no retribution for the bullies omg sometimes I check episode summaries to confirm that some type of retribution occurs and I have actually stopped watching dramas that don't provide one that is to my satisfaction lol

3. Male characters with hairstyles that look like black hair shop synthetic wigs (tend to see this in J dramas). Pictures attached, Yoon Ji Hoo from Boys over flowers' hair used to trigger me so much

4. Misunderstandings that could've been fixed with a quick, basic explanation that get drawn out for like 6 episodes

5. Ok it's not a pet peeve per se but I always find it funny when there's some kind of fight/conflict scene and the background music is some nintendo sounding tekken fight music ok we get it this is a 'bad ass' scene

6. The I can't be with you because I don't want to put you in danger so I'll be mean to you to push you away in my noble bid to protect you etc narrative

Tbh besides the snail's pace the story is progressing my other reasons are superficial like way the male lead's ears distract me and idk who is styling him for this role.

So Arthdal Chronicles is a series and it was supposed to have 3 seasons but after releasing season 1 they've been joncing fans for 1 year+. They say the next season is coming out next year but we're not sure of anything and it's very annoying because the drama was soooo good. Sigh. I'm heartbroken huhuhuhu

It is a lifestyle drama and it is new, only 2 episodes out I think. It is not lame in my opinion, I find it interesting.

I like the filming style

I like the interview/vlog setting, it can be likened to the American TV show, The Office

I like that it is not a common theme in Korea, this is like the second drama I have seen with this style.

I like that it is lighthearted (for now atleast) and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Above all, I love the cast.

It’s not horror really, it’s not scary. It just has some dark scenes and as you watch, you will get used to all the unconventional things. The humor is tasteful.
