Super dope drama! Once I got started with it, I looked for every opportunity to get back to it. Even at bus terminuses. I had it bad. I'm amazed that it took this long to discover it. You guys certainly hoarded this one from me.

I like that it was straight to biz from the get go and was so maintained till the end. Very lovely plot, indeed. The actress was totally on point. The male lead however, seemed to be exhibiting episodic facial paralysis, as his expression wasn't always indicative of what he was professing. And his voice lacked emotion. I wonder who told him soldiers are always supposed to sound tough. I can't say that I hated him, though.

There are lacunae in the plot too, such as why the step mother didn't want to live, when she abandoned the Yoon Se-ri - they didn't say. Neither did they tell us who found the vintage watch and conveniently pawned it...and some more stuff..

Then, the writer went and killed the con artist and I couldn't register that. Not until when they were thanking me for watching. Mscheww. I wonder what that was about.

I also appreciate the breather from all those hanging cartoon hearts and insane pop-ups, kdramas have become infamous for. Infact, I'm very wary of dramas that they explicitly describe as romcoms, these days.

Anyway, I can confidently vouch for only four dopest of the dopest kdramas now, lol;

You have to be a very good pro to pull off that crazy emotional roller coaster JCW did. Trust me, many actors won't be able to do that, even some very popular and older ones in the industry.

LOL at the end of the day it was good cos if the episodes were longer the drama would have ended up being draggy, but man watching it when it aired was a pain, the episodes were so short and I always ended the week dissatisfied cos I wanted more

I laughed, cried, got really emotional. This should be JCW best work. Guy smashed it. What an emotional roller coaster. KJW is fantastic here.

Add a dash of very good looks for the lead actors and it's paradise on earth.

I'm also not a fan of historical dramas, not that they aren't good but I just don't have the patience or tolerance for them. Since you're not entirely new to dramas it might be hard for me to recommend stuff for you cos you might have watched them but anyway if you haven't you can try taxi driver, train, the light within your eyes, tunnel, clean with passion for now, something about 1%, healer, different dreams, live up to your name, w, my unfamiliar family, startup, you drive me crazy, whisper, my strange hero, witch's court, my holo love, legal high. I'm going to stop here, you might have seen most of these ones but I'm pretty sure you've not seen all of them so...
