lynpetra: The best kind of open relationship ever.True! but someone would always go and complicate everything |
Truth is most people who find themselves in friend zone are in Usually in 2 categories 1. Those who lack the courage to let a girl know that they are interested in dating them believing everything would just fall into place if they are good friends 2. Those who Lack the skill or persuasive ability to convince a girl to date them and would rather be friends than lose her entirely Now as far as I'm concerned, those who find themselves in this zone only have themselves to blame cos I've been there. My advice is don't waste too much time in letting a girl know how you feel about her and even if you're going to be friends first as some girls are wont to demand, make sure she understands that the basis of that friendship is to find out if you're datable and nothing more. Finally it all boils down to the choice of walking away if she isn't interested or hanging around and hoping against hope that being there for her would make her one day realize that you're the best thing since sliced bread and fall into your arms (You'll grow white hair waiting ) |
ThoniaSlim: I've been very much around. I just do more of reading that contributing. But I had to contribute to this thread because the topic always comes up and I find it amusing how some guys are always so bitter about it.Oh that's cool, did that for sometime too Lool don't blame them too much. Try loving someone who only sees you as a friend and then tells you all about their frolicking with other guys. worst thing a one can do to the opposite sex if you ask me but again i believe it all comes down to choice. |
ThoniaSlim: From Space! How you been?I'm good & you? ![]() Its been ages! I thought you all left NL for good or dumped your old accounts Good to know you're still here ![]() |
ThoniaSlim: Why so bitter dudes? Why so bitter!Wow! Madam! where did u pop out from? Its been Ages! |
Godmother: "as i pick my golden pen from the garden of love"... This got me rollingIt was a very serious something! ![]() You know how you write your hearts out believing no one else would see it. i Still cringe at the things i wrote in that letter i wonder what i was thinking back then |
MzMariah:Till date i still sometimes find myself staring hard at a random girl i don't know and have no intention of approaching. I would make it so obvious that she'll start fidgeting which gives me great pleasure ![]() Old habits |
MzMariah: wicked boys.Wicked ke? it was our little payback for all their shakara ![]() Its amazing nobody got seriously hurt back then cos we'd stake out one of the only staircase to the ground floor. Some girls stopped leaving their floors whenever we were around. They'll jejely go back to their classrooms ![]() Good days i tell u ![]() |
LWKMD! Keep them coming folks @Moneysoldier and Tope ![]() I had this classmate i had been crushing on since JS1 and so in SS1 i summoned courage to approach her but therein lies the problem. I was a very shy guy and knew in my hearts of hearts that i could not face her and say all i had in mind so i found a way out. I wrote her a love letter on this long foolscap sheet (filled all four pages too) with plenty of sweet nothings expressing how i felt. You all know those kinda of letters that starts with "as i pick my golden pen from the garden of love"....Chai!!!. I left the letter in the center page of one of her note books, called her at home & told her i left something in her notebook. In school the next day she was very warm and friendly so i took it that we were officially dating. Now she had this 2 other friends who were little devils in the making. somehow they found the letter a couple of days later and convinced her not to have anything to do with me. it wouldn't have been a problem if they had ended it there o but they also convinced her to take the matter up. Na so some days later she reported me and the letter went viral. Every damn person in my class and other classes as well read the letter as well. I was so embarrassed i skipped classes for the rest of the term even though i never missed school for one day. The computer room became my sanctuary and that's where i fell in love with computers & that's what laid the foundation for my Career path. Funny thing is i kept crushing after her and made several attempts later one but the two imps she had as friends made it impossible for anything to work. it was always a case of accepting my proposal and calling it off a few days later when her friends found out. we eventually ended up in the same uni but by then i had gotten over her. That incident laid the foundation for the principles i live by today. Never to put anything down on paper cos if there's no evidence, there's no case. Anything i can't say directly to the person is best left unsaid and those can always be denied. That was the first and last love letter i wrote. |
barcanista: That one na wetin vex me pass. When I was 17 and friendzoned, this girl that I was "Hoping for" had her birthday party. I "donated" my 2 weeks Allowance to her party and even helped out in buying stuffs and things. I invited my padis to grace the day with hope that she will dance with me. men, after all my kindness, suffer and patience, this girl brought this dude to introduce to me ..."barcanista, meet Alex my Boyfriend. We met not long ago and I have told him a lot about you"....To the guy she said..."Alex meet my BEST FRIEND barcanista. He's very nice and caring". I no fit smile or cry, I begin de think of my life. As if that was not enough, She told everyone that she wanted to show them the person that has showed her love and that is important in her life. My Padis them don de think say na me, but ... Na Alex she call. Kissed him and they danced together. Me wey don endure no get shi-shi. Not even a hughahaahahahahhahahahhahahahahah chai! Na usually case like this i dey strongly recommend deliverance for ![]() This one na from village i swear ![]() |
MzMariah: Reminds me of one evening, I was going to church and the road was blocked. Omo na bad traffic that day o that was how I noticed some guys staring at me from their car. I tried to comport myself but could not and that was how I fell down olwkmd! Reminds me of a girl that tripped down the stairs back in secondary school just because my friends and i had our eyes on her. We use to do it for fun back then. We'll just position ourselves, stop our conversation and keep staring hard at the girl until she messes up ![]() |

Sadly Some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions. These Fraternities were meant to be an organized society of men dedicated to the intellectual, physical, moral, religious, and/or social development of its members just like the ones abroad. So No i don't agree that Soyinka is at fault, i blame all the clueless and irresponsible people who hijacked a noble idea and abused it just like every other thing in this country. "The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding" - Albert Camus |

Nothing else can be said, Just move on with your life. It doesn't always end well when people are persuaded to take back what they have lost interest in cos they'll never care for it as they should. You 're still young and have your whole life in front of you. |
Realdeals: What is bad in this, must we always adopt the white mentality, why can we do things the way we want? why can't the white adopt our own way of life? And yet we imported & adopted the white wedding as ours ![]() its funny how the whites who are better off economically will do only the church and court wedding while we in Africa that are struggling will import the extra burden of a white wedding along with our traditional and court wedding Abroad, the bride's parents contributes majorly to the wedding and sometimes out-rightly sponsors it. wonder why we left that part out. Why cant we do away with the white wedding & face our culture? ![]() We go just dey copy without sense & end up making the simplest things difficult. Life shouldn't be that hard i swear ![]() |
The excuses people come up with to justify their atrocious acts eh...........Smh Diaris God o |
coogar: nah - being someone else's sloppy seconds comes with a big risk. infections of varying degrees or even getting hit by okafor's law.Ofcourse! but aside the risk of infections which we must all take (that's assuming she owns up to an ex abi?), okafor's law has got nothing on you if you know your onions? ![]() coogar: may the most aggressive thunder ever witnessed in south america locate & fire you.hahahahahaahahah Right back at ya bro ![]() |
coogar: if you dunno the previous, you are hardly his sloppy second. besides, some of us only go for branded merchandise.lol true but you can't be oblivious of the fact that you're not his/her first esp in these era where "exes" are wielding more powers Ofcourse You would know "branded Merchandise" since you're in the business of cradle robbing given your moniker ![]() |
