Your concepts of Politics especially the Nigerian Politics is far reality.

DMerciful:
Is the desire to build a nation not enough reason? You are in a country of hatred and you call it politics? The only tribe that can build houses anywhere in Nigeria is the Igbos, others are afraid yet they pretend all is well. A yoruba man cannot build his house in the north even with the so called alliances because there is potential of conflicts. Is this how a nation should be?

What's the meaning of gang up?
So if you contest for an election and you are defeated that mean there is a gang up?
DMerciful:
The Serbians had this megalomaniac feeling and taking everybody for granted in Yugoslavia until enough was enough. Continue your gang up against Igbos, it's just a matter of time.
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 5:29pm On Oct 29, 2019
So the PDP zoned it's presidential ticket to the Yorubas and it was known to everybody yet astute politicians like Dr Alex Ekwueme, Chief Jim Nwobodo, Don Etiebet, Philip Asiodu and Graham-Douglas spent billions, went to PDP stakeholders all over Nigeria and contested the primaries of the party in Jos?

DMerciful:
The PDP zoned it to Yorubas. They did not come out openly to do it but everybody knows it was an unspoken truth to compensate the June 12 saga.As a new party then, they cannot officially zone it to SW but they did it via understanding. You cannot change this fact. Obj was convicted of planning a coup by Abacha. To make Obj selection possible, they hurriedly gazzetted a pardon because they knew where they were going. That primaries was to fulfill all righteousness

Dishonesty is in your DNA sir.

1) Obasanjo was granted pardon by the Military Junta headed by Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar in 1998.

2) The PDP convention was held in 1999 and the PDP came to power on May,29,1999

3) How could PDP which didn't exist when Obasanjo was released in 1998 had hurriedly granted Obasanjo a State pardon?

4) How did a State pardon in 1998 affected the conduct of PDP primaries in 1999?

Even right now, ONLY the PDP have zoning in it's Constitution.

I am not a fan of zoning. Let El-Rufai, Atiku, Kwankwanso or whomever wants to contest seek their parties' presidential ticket.

With time, we will all see that all these fears of marginalization will fizzle out.

A Yoruba, Nupe, Igbo, Kanuri or Bini presidential candidate can win a Presidential election against ANY candidate if he/she command the Goodwill of the largest number of Nigerians.

This will surely happen...may be not in 2023.

Excuse me sir, I hope you know that the Gworo chewing illiterate Foolanis in the Zoo have the prerogacy to determine who they vote for.

DMerciful:
The hausas voted for Yorubas at the primary because the intent was to make Yorubas emerge. They should do same for the Igbos or else!

Eeyah, see frustration!

BoboNkiti19:
Why should any Igbo care about a bloody yaribanza? you lots have been politically irrelevant politically for a long time until recently after been stuck in the oasis of political opposition. Even OBJ that ruled for 8 years was put there as a lackey by the North, with significant contributions by the Igbos... The only reason you manage enter spotlight na because of Buhari(who's popularity in the North is a strategic pivot for the North to consolidate their gains for 2023 again) , take him out of the equation and you are back to been irrelevant again... 2023 will put a permanent seal of fate on you degenerates, better start preparing that Yoruba politician that will stand a chance as a flagbearer for APC... hope Tinubu becomes the man for you bas.tards.

Nobody was forced out of any race.
The only group of politicians who CONCEEDED (not forced out) were Northern politicians.
Even at then, the former Governor of Kano State,Alh Abubakar Rimi still contested in the 1999 PDP primary election.

nku5:
"Yet in spite of being so dominant, the Yoruba complained and complained of marginalization. Of recent, in recognition of the trauma which hit the South-West after June 12, the rest of the country forced everyone out of the race to ensure that a South-Westerner emerged, often against the best advice of political activists."

-Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (from his famous article, "Yorubas Are The Problem of Nigeria"wink

Abeg you people should go and look for better ways to promote the Tinubu 2023 pipedream grin Face el-rufai and babagana kingibe who the north are going to choose from
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 10:56am On Oct 29, 2019
Excuse me sir, can't you argue your case without dragging the Yorubas along?

Are the Igbos playing the kind of Politics that Yorubas are playing or the Igbos are abusing the Yorubas and calling them slaves? Why demanding to be treated like the Yorubas you so much hate?

Think deeply about these.

DMerciful:
Did Igbos not vote Yaradua? Did Igbos not vote Tofa? Did Igbos not vote Atiku? Did Igbos not vote Shagari? Or are these not Northerners? You can see when people want to scheme you out, they will fabricate excuses. What Igbos are saying is that what was done for yorubas in 1999 should be done for igbos
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 10:53am On Oct 29, 2019
Gen Olusegun Obasanjo who defeated Dr Alex Ekwueme and Chief Jim Nwobodo at the 1999 PDP convention is a Christian. Islam played no roles in that Election.

DMerciful:
How did they defeat Ekwueme who was a founding member? Through Northern votes! The Northerners have used their population to ensure Igbos are defeated politically esp because Islam is not welcome in SE. It's all about religion. Same Northerners with ensure SW wins if they are in the ticket in 2023! So what's the point?
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 9:21am On Oct 29, 2019
You have no say in the determination of who becomes the councilor in your ward, how did you arrogate to yourself the powers to determine the ethnicity of the next president of Nigeria?

BoboNkiti19:
yorubas are not smelling that presidency, you can take that to the bank. Na here we go dey come 2023, let God keep us and the major players of that election alive to witness how events will unfold... with Bubu gone on 2023,we will see which candidate APC will bring out that will command the same amount of clout and followership as Buhari does.
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 8:16pm On Oct 28, 2019
So if an Igboman is defeated in a Nigerian presidential election, it means the Igbos arey wanted in Nigieria and they will prefer to go to war again?

DMerciful:
It's not about presidency but a clear message that we will keep marginalizing you. A clear message that we will ensure you never become number 1 in the nearest future! A message of collective dislike ! So what's the point of being where you're not wanted?
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 8:06pm On Oct 28, 2019
El-Rufai and Kwankwanso are free to contest but that doesn't mean they must win or Tinubu, Amaechi, Fashola, Umahi or Osinbajo should not contest.

Even I myself will contest soon.

DMerciful:
So since you say equity is benefitting from hard work, let's scrap the zoning in its entirety and let everybody work hard and make necessary alliances. You cannot define equity to suit you, has to be general so even Kwakwanso and Elrufai should contest
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 8:01pm On Oct 28, 2019
You are right bro, 1999 can be repeated for the Igbos but that will depend greatly on the politics played by the Igbos.

DMerciful:
How do you achieve Igbo presidency with Yorubas in the ticket? Why can't 1999 be repeated for SE for the sake of equity and equal participation?
Politics › Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by oyatz(m): 7:56pm On Oct 28, 2019
You somehow dishonest.
Fashola NEVER mentioned the world Zoning.

What he said was that the SW voters should support Buhari in 2019 because by that, the SW stand a chance to get power in 2023

izombie:
igbos never said the presidency was zoned to the south west in 99 but that the yorubas have done their 8 years from 1999 to 2007 and so it should be the time of igbos in 2023.
We have heard the likes of fashola say that apc and buhari will zone the preaidency to the south west in 2023 if you people support buhari in the last election. And it's all over here in nairaland.

So why did the following campaigned vigorously and spent heavily contesting for the PDP ticket in 1999?

Dr Alex Ekwueme
Chief Jim Nwobodo
Chief Don Etiebet
Chief Philip Asiodu
Graham-Douglas?

Tinubu's stumbling block is his personal headache?
Are you Tinubu's political adviser? What have you contributed to his political career and influence? Why do you think you know more about political equations than Tinubu and all his leutenants?

Why bringing in the SW into the matter? Is the SW a political party, on whose platform Mr Tinubu is contesting?

Why not contest against Tinubu and show the APC delegates why they should elect you as the flagbearer of the party?

You people are very funny.
You hate Tinubu online and offline, yet you still want to dictate to him how he should live his life, when he should contest or not contest at all.
Why do you want Tinubu to remain relevant after 2023? Why not allow him to 'relegate' himself to irrelevance?

Foxman19:
If Tinubu still want to be relevant beyond 2023 he must not contest for president.he should stay clear from presidential election. Give us Fashola or Osinbajo.

Your post is misleading sir.
1) Hiring Bullon vans to transport money to and from bank is not illegal.

2) Private/ Commercial ventures like Petrol Stations or large scale distributors of consumer products also use bullon vans to take money to Banks.

3) Individuals can withraw millions in cash from Banks.
It's not illegal, all that it's needed is to fill bank forms notifying the appropriate Government agencies (EFCC, CBN etc).

It only becomes illegal if these appropriate Government agencies aren't notified.

4) During elections, ALL serious political parties spend money

ehissi:
As an individual, running any financial transaction in millions outside financial institutions is a violation of the Anti- money laundering act.

The Bullion van has a manifest, that can easily be sought by the EFCC, more so if a bank engaged the services of the owners of the vans.

If the EFCC really do their jobs, Tinubu can be in a lot of trouble ooooo

Victims defrauded by Yahoo boys often petition FBI, Interpol and EFCC.

You can't defraud someone of even ordinary #1 Million Naira and expect him/her to keep quiet.

Politics › Re: Tinubu’s Bullion Vans: Deji Adeyanju Petitions EFCC (Photos) by oyatz(m): 6:24am On Oct 26, 2019
Do you honestly think Tinubu is NOT aware of all these?

Tinubu, a master strategist may deliberately orchestrate the bullon vans saga to hoodwink his supporters that there are enough money to share to them so as to go get them to work harder and made a stunt for the opposition.

The contents may deliberately be made to conform with the laws.
The man is not stupid.

truthfulparrot:
unfortunately it is not as simple as you think. Go and read the Efcc anti-Money Laundry act. That was the act that was used by Efcc to arrest Atiku's in-law and lawyer. Tunubu committed great political blunder by public display of the bullion van on the eve of the election. In the build up to 2023 election ,vested interest in Apc from the north will use this blunder against him
