Verify your sources, there is swarovski version that goes for £350 . That is what they had not the 1.2m version...Geesh, nigerians and exaggerations

Aqva: His band One Direction are officially the highest-earning youngsters in the music industry, and he took home a whopping £5million earnings in the last year alone.

And Liam Payne was evidently feeling very generous indeed on Tuesday night when he reportedly treated a pal to a bottle of champagne, worth a staggering £1.2million.

Dubbed 'the world's most expensive champagne', the kind-hearted 19-year-old is believed to have made sure his Nigerian musician pal, Wizkid, had the best 24th birthday a boy could wish for by splashing out on a bottle of Taste Of Diamond at London's Funky Buddha nightclub.

CultureRe: 10 Things Ghanaians Know About Nigerians by ozoemeka(m): 6:09pm On Jul 18, 2013
"9ja no dey carry last" true.

shol: Why then do we see a lot of excitement, wearing of green apparel or whatever outfit will represent one as a true 9Ja in diaspora? We asked some Ghanaian folks what they know about Nigerians?

1. Nigerians are RICH

It is the perception of many Ghanaian that Nigerians are rich people. Many of them own big businesses here in Ghana. Businesses guys like Dangote, Globacom’s Adenuga, Silverbird Cinema’s Bruce, City Lights, Olu Luther King, inshort we cannot enumerate them here. The banks, The traders, The students, and of course the 419s. They all manifest wealth in certain degrees. Nigeria has oil that has benefited few and contributed to the economy, so at least there is money in circulation.

2. Nigerians are SMART

When dealing with a Nigeria Man, you must think fast, you must become clever quickly because while you are thinking short term he is thinking future. It is difficult to calculate the brain manipulations of a Nigerian man, whatever deal he enters into, he has already won you. He will pretend to be a fool in deal but at the end you will realize how foolish you became. Nigerians believe that there is a way where you can’t see it. He will tell you, let’s go, nothing dey happen. 9Ja no dey carry last. Nigerians come from a background of fast system, where if you are dull, you will not survive. The key to success becomes thinking like a CIA, fighting like Jackie Chan, and feeling super like America.

3. Nigerians are Hardworking

A Nigerian believes that only the best or nothing, they are not lazy at all. The come from a society where competition is real. where you always reminded of another person’s success. So you must labour whether good or bad. Nigerians want to produce results. They want to show off their accomplishments and that drives them as well. Nigerians do not tolerate insults but loves jokes, so everyone avoids to me mocked by society and hence must hustle.

4. Nigerians are Aggressive

In Nigeria, or Nigerians won’t say all die be die, they will just harm you. Nigerians are not reserved, if you push a Nigerian, he won’t push back, he will punch, but if it is a Ghana man, if you push him, he will ask you a question: So you pushed me eh? Nigerians are not afraid to try, to overcome, to win, to penetrate. They will go the extra mile to achieve. They are not laid back folks. They can fight fast, make peace soon and continue. The aggressive nature of Nigerians are felt in their military, police, robbers, politicians, and civilians.

5. Nigerians are Kind

Nigerians are generous people, they can share whatever they have with others. There could be reasons for such nature. For instance if you are rich then you must take care of poor people. Also Nigeria has the highest number of Chiefs, even now it is multiplying exponentially with Nigerian Kings in diaspora distributing the title of Chief to those willing and can afford it. Nigerians also give alms for recognition and to command respect. Nigerians have the common belief that givers never lack and hence insure their security of not being in poverty by sharing to others.

6. Nigerians respect their Women

A Nigerian man will easily tell an annoying lady to visit his house and see what he kept there, referring to his wife. Nigerian men take good care of their women when it comes to material things. They adore them and want them to have the best. That respect may be hard when it comes to fidelity but as for worldly goods, A Nigerian will prefer that his wife looks best while he appears simple. A Nigerian man will not tolerate beating a woman instead will encourage you to fight your fellow man.

7. Nigerians are 419 people

It is a common notion that Nigerians are not to be trusted. That their smartness, aggressiveness, being rich is because of how they can easily scam you. They world has come to recognize and respect the 419 aspect of Nigerians. They are everywhere in the world and in every organization. However as much as we recognize the fact that 419 or Nigerian Scam is real. Google it and see massive literature on it, but not all Nigerians are 419 people. Recently we met the Marketing Manager of Vodafone Ghana, A Nigerian called Uche, she is not a 419 but will definitely be smart. You see since Nigerians are smart people, it is interesting to note that where ever they channel that energy to, pays off.

8. Nigerians love Business

A Nigerian loves money and will see to it that he makes it. He knows that it is important to lay treasures on earth when thieves come, shoot him. They have founded many businesses all over the world from scratch. There are many Nigerians even competing with Ghanaian in their local market, and they will sell things cheaper and have quick turn over. A Nigerian will always use any small space giving to him, after 5 years, He is OGA!! Nigerians are born entrepreneurs, all you need is Nigerian business partner, of course a trust worthy one and you may be safe but will make huge profit.

9. Nigerians are Funny people

Having a sense and spirit of humour a natural endowment of Nigerians. Every Nigerian is a stand up comedian where ever he is. He will entertain you, make everyone laugh and still be serious. Many Nigerians do not claim to be comedians but will easily crack your ribs when you hang out with them. This funny aspect of Nigerians are sometimes used against them by a Ghanaian who does not know or appreciate their life style. So a Nigerian will speak the way he knows how, and will be labelled as disrespectful. Nigerians now export comedy, while many comedians are back home making them laugh over everything.

10. Nigerians are Spiritual

The devotion to deity is paramount in the lives of Nigerians. Sometimes it is even difficult to understand the vocation of a Nigerian neighbour but due to his regular church attendance, loud prayer one could easily suspect him a pastor. Many Nigerian owned churches are doing well here in Ghana. Nigerian movies end up with ” To God be the Glory” appreciation.

Ghana and Nigeria relationship is unique in Africa and will always continue to develop stronger ties in aspects of human relations.

RomanceRe: Do Guys Like Pampering? by ozoemeka(m): 4:47am On Jul 17, 2013
I should be pampered - money, sex, food - I expect it. Why not?

bennyraz: Women like to be pampered so do we men. The idea of relationship is like a burden in my heart pressing me down, hampering my handiwork so i quite enjoy the idea of friendship with some borrowed baggage from relationship which include all forms of romantic gestures cool (for those that have insight, you should understand what I mean) well. well well... back to the story.Do men Like pampering? Yes! and it only takes a good detailed woman to understand the kind of pampering men likes (it varies with different men you know) for example, the kind of pampering that would press my maga button anytime, any day (everyman has a maga button) is when a woman whispers into my ears "benny, can i kiss you" my head will so swell that i don't mind borrowing, selling all my properties including my chinko phone, touch-light, radio to meet her monetary demands! grin now that's the kind of pampering i like!! Initiating the moves grin it does press my maga button sha , though, I've been begging baba God for re-configuration) The thing is, it only takes a woman with deep insight & timing to know this.. now to some other men, it's food! well prepared food (me like food as well) To others, it's screaming as if you wana die during tigbantin gbantin. In all honesty, Most men would rather end up with a woman that pampers them in whichever way they like just as we men pamper them(women) with gifts, money e.t.c so NL guys, what type of pampering do you like/want from a woman? make una talk o! u might just get lucky and chicks/babes/girls/women (anyone), pay attention

Fat loss is the key, get to the GYM work on your body and yourself and others will learn to love you. Soon you will be that girl who USES guys.. and DUMP this one you have, anyone who can't love you for who you are doesn't matter.

Those who matter don't care and those who care, don't matter..

biggirloya2: I have always been a big girl. Bigger than my age that is. I have a very beautiful body and personality but a bit too big for my age. I have always been like this. Now i am 26 but you would swear i am 29 or more. Now i have always attracted older men or bad guys and now i finally thought i had met the one. He is turning 25 in August and i am ( for once in my life) the older one in a relationship. I sometimes hate him coz i get the feeling that because i am fat he wants to treat me like a sugar mommy. but i am only 1 year older than him.I am tired of him hurting me. I get the feeling that he has a younger skinnier lover and me i am just the for sex and do him favours. The dude has never invited me to his home or to meet his people but he knows my home and people like hell. When i dump him he declares his undying love for me but when i decide to stay in the relationship he never has time for me and makes me feel as if he is doing me a favor by spending time with me. Will i ever feel good about myself, will i ever be happy like other people, or am i going to be his dirty secret forever? i am scared of ending things compeletly coz i am a coward and i cant stand to one day see him with a better girl coz i am just a fat worthless ugly girl who looks older than she is.Do you feel my pain?

omoikhefue: Im hurting so much on the inside and decided to write who knows I just might heal …

It was a wet Thursday 11th July and I was excited so much so that i couldn't wait to leave the office and most importantly rock my asoebi (it was my first velvet ever and i loved the combination) Deborah Lawson Event place omole was the venue and my beautiful friend from camp was the bride. she's a rare one I must say, down to earth and extremely cheerful you can almost refer to her as a razz yoruba girl so you imagine the shock when I discovered she was actually a foreign student: made me appreciate her even more.

I got to the venue at about 3pm and was settled in no time. My bride was all smiles, everything was going perfectly well Lolo 1 from Wazobia fm was cranking us up, for the first time in a very long time I snapped the finest pix ever without much gloss and editing... everything going smoothly till it was time for single ladies and the bouquet catching. I honestly do not partake in the whole single ladies and bouquet campaign but lolo won’t let us be, at some point the bride had to call us out. Purse on my chair and my offfice bag wedging it, off we went dragging ourselves along the whole episode didn’t last upto 2mins.

I got back to my seat and my office bag was on the floor with my purse nowhere in sight. The purse was specially made by my mum so there’s no replica of it out there. At first I thought it was some kinda expensive joke but it the reality of it dawned on me in no time. I was raged. I have never being so confused I pulled the table cloth hoping to finding it under the table no sight of it; I asked everyone around me rather they answered me with even more questios. it was just too good to be true... I was sure I was gonna faint so I off my shoes to get a grip of myself (I had my ipad3 in that purse, in my wallet were 3atm card, my driver's licence, my HMO cards, my Unilag ID card I refused submitting in exchange for my certificate, my passports photos(right from when I cut my hair, did dreads, dyed my hair you name it, my money!! I made a withdrawal of 10k with intent to cab home, the beautiful pix I snapped at the reception hoping to give my mum, my mobile phone...) everyone's talking at the same time "who could have done this? Where did you leave this bag? Are you sure you didn’t drop it somewhere? what was inside? on and on

Words fail to describe the trauma I went through, I felt so much pain, anger, bitterness and resentment all at once and finally the tears came flooding down my cheeks (last I cried so hard was when I lost a close friend at Unilag). All at once, everybody became a suspect. I suddenly became stranded and desperate for help
In all it’s a bitter pill I had to swallow and I learnt my lesson the hard way, its so unfortunate you no longer know who truly is an invited guest. I suspect and still suspect the caterers and cameramen but the deeds been done already. I love attending weddings but I can certainly tell you that crave just died a most painful death … That’s how they began making donations for my transport I cried all the way to festac could not deal with the situation at all.

Experience is not the best teacher so learn from mine; let me not bore you with the whole police report that’s another ache on its own. In all Im grateful and expectant for even better things.

Cheers!

CultureJustice For Trayvon Martin! by ozoemeka(op):
Although this is NAIRAland it is imperative to understand that in the US we all are considered "black" - professional, rich, poor, or not. Those of us who were born and/or raised here in the US understand better the plight of the "black man" on a daily basis. It is on this note that I call on AFRICANS to SUPPORT THE CAUSE OF JUSTICE FOR the YOUNG TRAYVON MARTIN. I have posted some reflective material and encourage you to sign the Petition on the NAACP Website

https://donate.naacp.org/page/s/doj-civil-rights-petition?source=zimmermannotguiltypetitionrotator&utm_medium=Rotator&utm_source=NAACP&utm_campaign=zimmermannotguiltypetitionrotator

All it takes is a signature telling the world you stand for and want justice. The NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) are the very reason BLACKS from ALL OVER THE WORLD can have a place in the United States, from our own Nnamdi Azikiwe, Wale Adenuga etc, if not for the actions of the NAACP to fight for the rights and equality of blacks in the US, there would still be a heavy presence of racism and slavery.

Ha.. if there is "weeping and gnashing of teeth" does this not mean they are "alive" to be "weeping" ( a living mechanism), thus does that not CONTRADICT what YOU say that there is destruction, not torture.. Is an act that results in one weeping and gnashing NOT torture? Explain

frosbel: Only Jesus has ascended into Heaven, Heaven is GOD's throne, we who are his, if indeed we are his , will inherit a new heaven ( sky ) and new earth.

Rev 7:9 can be tied into Revelations 22:1-5.

But before you go there read : Revelation 21:1 , Isaiah 65:17 , Isaiah 66:22 and Romans 8:21

Remember , Peter never said he was looking to go to heaven where GOD dwells, this is what he said :

2 Peter 3:13 - But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

As Jesus said :

"Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth."

This means the saints will inherit a newly restored earth which is paradise.

But what will happen to the wicked on this earth ?

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 13:41

The wicked will be destroyed in the lake of fire which is the second death , nothing to do with everlasting torment or torture.

Christianity EtcRe: HOAX Alert!!!: NASA Didnt Discover Any Tablet On Mars. by ozoemeka(m): 5:11pm On Jul 10, 2013
Yeah I read it and started looking for it but no credible source had it, CNN etc all that came back as results were nigerian blogs..go figure

PhenomenonVFX: It baffles me that many religious people are so gullible that they believe anything they read without resorting to critical thinking and investigation.
The news making round that NASA discovered a tablet on Mars is being spread around by ignorant religious people on the social media. Unfortunately, the source of the story, dailycurrant.com, is only a satirical blog with a history of religious and politcal satires. Satire! Yeah.
Funny enough, their intention was to mock religion and Christianity. Even the tone of the article was revealing and it got me laughing out loud. What they are saying in essence is "if God exists, why is He hiding himself?". Classic atheist/agnostic argument.
The only thing u religious people had to do was a little research to know this is a hoax. I suppose with all these proofs, some Christians will still belive NASA discovered a proof of God on Mars. Oh well.
