Under normal academic certain someone with 2.1 in his first degree will be considered/ favoured first than someone with 2.2,or 3rd class with masters, in times of lecturing job in any public universities in Nigeria under NORMAL Situation ( without influence from anyone ).

You are correct.So many public universities do not even consider 2.2 graduates for lecturing job let alone 3rd class even if you later get PhD
