CelebritiesRe: Eedris Abdulkareem: "I Took 2face To Kenny Ogungbe, He Is A Stupid Boy'' by Paentera(m): 5:31am On Nov 12, 2017
rentAcock:
This boko haram descendant is filled with vitriol and he seems so pained with just about everything. The highly opinionated buffoon has been on a social media rampage of bashing whoever he wants. From Daddy freeze, to Davido, to Bobrisky and now to 2face, this torchlight wading mallam is desperately trying to stay relevant. When other musicians were stepping up their game in the late 90's, the torchlight wading cattle rancher didn't innovate or evolve with the times and later went extinct like the dodo. The idiot is just pained because he has no substantial money-yielding investments nor does he have a record label nor did he sign any upcoming artistes during his prime. What a sad lonely man, trying everything to remain in the lime light.
You've mixed them all up. Eedris doesn't wield a torchlight & this one of the few things you used to arrive at a flawed conclusion in this response.

Stick to abusing people only since your "facts" are inaccurate.

Typical. Don't jump to conclusions when you don't have the full information.

She's a successful chef & owner of a few restaurants.

INDOMIE GENERATION WON'T KNOW HER.

This is what she looks like now below. E be like alarm dey even blow am seriously.
I initially assumed she was UI (Under the Influence) but since google is still free, I did some digging & really her look is from eating healthy. She's a restauranteur, a gourmet chef & cooks healthy Jamaican meals.

According to this pasted link, Shaba Ranks used to pay her to cook for him. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/entertainment/Cooking-with-the-Queen-of-The-Pack-_19120443

I would thereby say your conclusion alleging that she's finished is unfounded and rather untrue. She's happily married & has a thriving business including still doing musical gigs.

Oga, Chime's family have come out to say that DJ Olu & Chime were in Ibadan on the said day of the birthday party hosted by Davido's cousin, B-Red. They came to Lagos from Ibadan on Monday to conclude a land deal.

So Davido only came into the DJ Olu's story because he was Davido's former DJ, not because they all attended the party on Friday night of October 2, 2017.

Do get your facts right.

Kanu has said what needs to be done

1) Open the doors of dialogue to all those genuinely agitating
2) Ignore the rable rousers who don't commit a crime.

Its simple logic that Obj & GEJ seems to have used wisely.

PMB, avoid making the initial mistake made by turning NK to a demagogue. If I were you, I would dig up dirt about him, if he has tax liabilities etc, then you can use such to whittle down his influence.

Arresting him unjustly and subjectively is unwise
CelebritiesRe: Davido: "D'banj Gave Me A Rolex In 2014, But I Never Signed Anything" by Paentera(m): 6:50am On Sep 02, 2017
basilo4312:
The way i see it, it wasnt 2014, just a case of slip of tongue on part of Dbanj...guess maybe it was when Davido was 18 or 19.

Moreso, during the Mo-hit era, 'signing' any artiste was a case of oral agreement which was one of Dbanj's biggest career mistakes: he signed everyone in the Mohits - Dr Sid, Wande Coal, D' Prince, Kayswitch even when Don Jazzy did not really want to do so as he was skeptical of taking such risks. infact, most people didnt know that Dbanj's mother was the most important support the Mohit crew had when Dbanj and Don Jazzy came back to Nigeria - she gave her Maryland house for the entire Mohit crew to stay pending when they hit their success because against all odds and even Dbanj's father reluctance, she supported her son solidly in his quest for music success. Remember 'Why Me' Video? The Toyota Previa in that video was Dbanj's mum car which she gave them to convey themselves around when no one else was there to support them. She was therefore the biggest investor in Mohit empire when likes of Dbanj and Don Jazzy were penniless and were even ready to sell Mohit to Storm Records for N1 million because they desperately wanted to 'make' it. However, their story changed forever at the Ali Baba Show of 2007!

Dbanj's legendary status in the modern-music era of African music is beyond mere comprehension which was also sealed by MTV based award of Legendary status t him - When the likes of Tuface, Psquare, etc were still charging N50,000 to maximum of N200.000 per show, he increased the stake to N1 million or Nothing and steadily till he started charging N10 million and then music practitioners and artistes' eyes opened

He was the first artiste to get a multi-million Naira endoresoment - Powerfist in 2006 beating Femi Kuti to same endorsement as Femi was the original artistes in PZ's plan before going ahead to clinch Glo's 70 million Naira deal plus a Range Rover and other entitlements

His direct and indirect impact has affected the careers of artistes like Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Naeto C, M.I Ikechukwu even the legends like Tuface and Psquare. Go ask them, the mere mention of Dbanj to most of these superstars and they tell you how Dbanj has forever affected their lives and careers (except of course forever bitter minds among them)

Although, others see it as a failed project or misadventure, Dbanj's Good Music signing was infact the deal-breaker for new generation of music artistes - selling new new African music culture to the global market. When you hear some 'ignoramuses' referring to Dbanj as Kanye West houseboy, i just laugh. If only Don Jazzy could see the future...if only he could understand this bullish visionary called Dbanj, they would be conquering Africa and global market together - with Don Jazzy supplying the iconic African percussion sound and stagemaster Dbanj bringing his A-game Enigmatic prowess to the fore - with the two partners writing the names in gold forever in the history of Africa

A young African boy without any major label backing bold enough to cause disruption in the African music industry is now building his own fantastic music business structure post-Mohit to sell the addictive African sound to the global market. I am closely following on what this Dbanj will use the CREAM Platform to develop in the music world. Like he said, you never see him coming through

One word to sum Dbanj: He will never give up in his Quest to be the Coca-cola of music business and the ElChapo grandmaster of African sound movement.

NOTE: This guy i have never met has really been inspiring my quest for success as a business entrepreneur!
I was at another show at Fantasy Land Ikoyi in 2005 where DBanj & Don-Jazzy were trying so hard to be noticed. I can never forget the beach shirt Don Jazzy was wearing & his faux gold tipped cane which he was using to create some swag.

That night was when Style Plus were at their peak & it was the day I knew it was over for Black face of Plantation Boys - the mic was switched off so he could leave the stage but im no gree.

Mobolowan was still fresh and these guys practically re-wrote the way music & entertainment from their understanding of business deals.
FoodRe: N50 Sachet Garri With Groundnut And Sugar Sold In Ogun State by Paentera(m): 7:31am On Aug 09, 2017
CastedDude:
While others are lamenting that there are no jobs in Nigeria, some others are busy hustling for themselves with any productive idea they can come up with. According to a social media user, this is the trend in Ogun state (Ijebu Garri loaded with groundnut and sugar).

Online users have hailed the 'low-cost curing' for an average Nigerian which is being sold for N50.

https://www.nationalhelm.co/2017/08/see-nigerian-entrepreneurs-taking-hustling-next-level-photos.html
This is value adding at its best! If manufacturers of garri did this, they would make way over 200% on their garri production instead of the mid-range margins they probably make right now.

I hope this time around the battery will be reliable...
I use a higher end Moto G4 and battery life is super. I started using Moto G when the first one (first generation) was released by Google wayback (I bought mine from Amazon in January 2013) and shortly before it was sold to Lenovo. Its such a great phone to use.

I've been using the G4 (fourth generation) since November 2016 (got it from Amazon too) and its such a beauty to behold. Very lightweight, 16GB with expandable memory card (I use a 32GB card with mine), crisp pictures (13MP rear, 5MP front) and it does not lag at all when switching between apps. It handles very flawlessly. wink

The battery time when full can last for a whole day (I leave home and unplug it around 6.30am while I don't get back to plug it until 7pm) with chatting & calls at an average however it gets drained faster when I use it as a hotspot. cool

It has never hung since I've bought it and its way more than a decent phone that draws oohs & aahs when friends and family find out its actually a Motorola and not any other high end brand they assumed it would be. grin

The only draw back - I cannot select ringtones outside that loaded on the phone. angry angry

This post isn't about money but about a defacto issue. It's coming against the backdrop of the cry of several people about how expensive it is to maintain a Range Rover, Range Rover Sport or Discoveries.

Each vehicle comes with a recommendation for all fluids the vehicle uses...... There are acceptable ranges and also most use as stated in the manual.

We also are aware of the fact that getting fluids as recommended are more difficult because they are more expensive.

I strongly disagree with the bolded, Federalism/Regionalism will resolve power problems. I am 100% sure of that. Regionalism will accelerate the concept of what I call Power Islands, that is, the rapid development of the so-called microgrids and macrogrids in the long run. This will result into autonomous electric power blocs within Nigeria.

I don't have those details, but they're currently facing a liquidity crunch. I'm only hoping they get some reprieve from CBN and a host of other FIs to survive it. Otherwise Depositors' funds will go up in smoke.
PropertiesRe: Nigerians Can Now Own Houses With N30,000 — Osinbajo by Paentera(m): 8:03am On May 30, 2017
omogidi234:
Many thanks. So far till the point I am quoting you, apart from yours, Ayindejimmy and Maximus85, the other comments are not encouraging. I don't mean to be disrespectful.

I do agree that these guys have made so many promises and they didn't fulfill; why? I don't know, it is left for them to tell us why, I am not their mouthpiece. Do we have reasons to doubt them? YES. However, I feel we are not criticising constructively.

We have not seen the roadmap, we have not seen the scheme schedule, the man has only made a pre-emptive speech preparatory to the launch of the scheme.

Now it is likely that they want to improve on the NHS or run a parallel but cheaper and easy- to- access scheme.

I and some folks have discussed the NHS here on Nairaland a couple of times, however, let me just drop some hints.

The NHS is domiciled with the FMBN.
It is a Federal Government Housing Scheme Mortgage.

The maximum amount you can draw is N15M and you must pay 30% equity, which is N4.5m.
If you want to access N10M, you will pay 20% equity. Likewise, N5M with 10% equity payment.

Now the scheme came into being when those figures were big money in Nigeria ( the figures are still big though, but can not possibly meet its desired purpose now).

The way it operates is that you open a NHF account with some financial institutions registered with FMBN, (Aso Savings,, Resort Savings are good example), you save till your equity is met and the FIs will apply on your behalf and you can use the funds to buy let say a 3 bedroom bungalow at Adron Homes Simawa or Hastom's Green Farm Estate Ogbomosho for 15m.

You are expected to pay back the 70% disbursed to you on a monthly basis for 30 years ( if you are age 60, it is not likely they will give you cause they want you to be able to pay back when you are working or doing business, not when you have retired) on a 6% interest rate.

Even though people are accessing this scheme, it is pretty hard and takes a lot of time.

So if this new Scheme allows you to pay N30,000 (both principal & interest) monthly for 30 years, then it is a Live On Arrival.
Please beware of Resort Savings as they are currently undergoing liquidity problems and haven't paid their own contribution for their customers who sourced mortgages through them and deposited funds with them.

Maybe you analyse that for us to understand, because from i read we have to pay 20% of the total sum while the housing scheme team pays the remaing 80%.
I got confuse there he mention that if you have #30,000 then you can own a house. So my question to hou is if 30k is the 20%, then how much is the remaining 80% and Total amount is how much, can that amount build a house?
You're not a builder are you? The builders are the ones who provide counterpart 20% funding while the FG provides 80% to build the house. That was in no way referring to those interested in owning a house.

Billyonaire:
Actually look at it this way. Olamide has no experience in running a label, so he is smart by saying he doesn't renew contract because at 2yrs, an artist is now aware of the workings of the industry and the YBNL people are not ecumenically equipped to further the career of artist beyond their local hemisphere, so he opts to say, no renewal but we work as a team, as brothers. Because he needs their experience.

Mavin Record is the only outfit working towards being a real music brand, the rest are just surprise at their success. Music Industry is trillion dollars money making factory and will never slow down. Who ever is equipped to dive in deep will have access to limitless supply cos music itself is unlimited energy flow, so income from it, is also unlimited. Olamide needs Music Education to manage his little outfit.
