Parents-in-law. I can't begin to tell you what mine did to my marriage. Their daughter kept lying and defending them until I dumped the whole fcking family. I waited until our only daughter was an adult. Ex told me today she had high blood pressure. Sorry, I said. But I was thinking, "tell that to your parents". It pains me so much, but, hey, I dont wanna die. |

Who dat? And the kids' dad, does he pay child support? Just wondering . But seriously, banging the "fatness" off of her: PRICELESS! |
Thanks Jarus. Point of correction though, Sola is CEO (as in Chief Executive Officer), and Yinka is Deputy CEO. Tribute must be paid to Mr. Atedo N. A. Peterside for his vision and hard work. These are people who know what Banking and Finance are all about. They understand our economy. |
This is perhaps the most educative post on Nairaland. BTW, the management team at STANBIC/IBTC is headed predominantly by Yorubas, and most of them are Christians, indeed, some are top officials (ex. Pastors) of diverse Churches. Goes to show that Yorubas don't really care about all the "religious" noise across Nigeria. To them, business is business. Others should learn that and we all will be better for it. But then again, there are those whose business is religion. They are the loudest noisemakers. In this context it is understandable, but nonetheless confusing. |
Yep, we all know who your father is: he is Maradona's front. BTW, he lacks taste seeing what he is building in Banana Island. There is always a problem with them "Ati Apata dides". |
"Paddy", sounds soooo civilized. Well, Paddy, in case you didn't know, your name is a derivation of Patrick. It is how the illiterate Irish pronouces "Patrick". Such an African you are! So what's wrong with names like Mandela, Oyewo, Kosi, Arugbo, niGhana, Kolawole, Uche, Mei Ruwa, Oyewo, Akpor, So-Bata, Kwakwu, Simidele, Agwu, Bankole, Abacha, Odoyewu, Isi-Ewu, Ibrahim, Etsu Nupe, Mamofo, Masitha, Dan Maraya Jos, Ishola, Oyenusi, Osita, Osadebe, Babatunde, Folorunsho, or even Pafuri/. Your name is such a shame! |

Why is Nigeria so unlnspiring? That is what I want to know. |
Rice is the world's staple. So, there has to be something about it. Besides, 3 billion Asians can't be wrong. |
Give me "The Amaka". I will phuck some sense into her loose p/u/n/a/n/i. |
When "The Tribune", a newspaper that had championned the political ideology and programs of Obafemi Awolowo, now champions the cause of the PDP, Yoruba people have a right to ask questions of Hanna Idowu Dideolu (HID). What have you done to the legacy of the real ASIWAJU? |
Mr. Oluokun (PAPY), Senior Housemaster and Sports Coach at Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo in the 1970s. This ugly man was the meanest, most evil, and most sadistic of all teachers. Black as charcoal, with the flatest, yet biggest nose sitting on the ugliest face anyone could lay claim to, this SATAN seemed to derive some uncanny pleasure in flogging students under the least pretext. If he did that across the board, one would have considered him an equal opportunity disciplinarian (I call that devil). But he did not, preferring to always leave out the students from his village of Fiditi near Oyo. I hope he is now dead, and that he is burning in the hottest hell-fire, the baboon. I also hope his children are literate enough to read and understand this. Your father was EVIL. Oomph, that felt good. ![]() |
Nigerians want democracy without free speech. Now that is like taking a shower without water. Sam Omatseye will go down in our collective memory as the individual who started the process of demystifying those families who think Nigerians owe them a lifelong debt of gratitude. The Yorubas' gratitude and respect are to, and for Obafemi Awolowo, and by extension, to his wife, Hannah Idowu Dideolu. It is a question of courtesy. It is not a right, especially where HID is concerned. To receive dubious political figures, to receive encomiums from odious politicians under various laughable pretexts, not only belittles Awolowo's legacy, but also opens HID to public scrutiny, and perhaps ridicule. The timing of Omatseye's piece might not be all that appropriate, but he raises crucial issues as to how we relate to our Nation's founding fathers. We cannot say what their families do with their legacies is those families' business. They are our FOUNDING FATHERS, and those legacies are our heritage. |

Ah, Nigerians. They know the bible better than the Constitution and the Criminal Code. Little wonder they can't demand that their rights be respected. I mean, how does one demand something he doesn't even know belongs to him? ![]() Carry go, Daddy and Mommy! |
