Maybe she failed to understand that in a state of panic or hysteria, people can do anything. She's complaining because people used buckets to fetch water to combat the fire. She doesn't know that under such situations, one can even use groundnut shells to fetch water. I know the government has failed by not providing enough fire engines readily available to fight fires. They're busy building edifices without making adequate provisions for such occurrences.

I think it is wise she keeps the property in her name, because men can be funny at times. How is she sure that the husband doesn't have another wife elsewhere?
