meneski:I'm here. Is it my turn already? |
Micheal loosened his tie. Memories of the past thirteen hours came rushing to his head. He flung the flower vase which was on the centre table and it went shattering on the floor Ebere ran to the sitting room and found her boss pacing round. She looked at the pieces from the broken vase and she left to get a broom and parker. Coming back, Micheal was drinking from a bottle of vodka. She quietly picked up the pieces and made to leave the room when he called her back; "Ebere right?" "Yes sir." "Where are you from?" "Abia sir." "Oh! You're from same place with my wife. That's nice. Go drop that thing and come back here." "Alright sir." She walked out as he admired her firm bu++s. She was ushered into a suite big enough for ten people. "Isn't this place too big for me alone Ruth?" "We intend to make you as comfortable as ever Mrs Claire. So please." Ruth replied with a smile. Claire nodded, sitting down on a single sofa while Ruth took the sofa opposite her. "We've paid for your feeding and everything that will make your stay here memorable. The hotel has a spa, gym, game room and all sorts of outdoor events which you're free to use anytime because we've got that covered too." "Hmmm." Claire hummed "Our appointment with you officially starts the day after tomorrow. Do I read the programs to you now or tomorrow?" "Please do that now." Ruth nodded and began to flip through a heavy diary she's being carrying all along. "Uhm! 7;30am, Breakfast with the MD, assistant MD, secretary and the new face of jiji, Mrs Claire Njama. 10;30am, meeting with the board of directors and the new face of jiji. 1;30pm, lunch break at the conference room with the same board of directors and the new face of jiji. 3;00pm, closing up of signed documents, necessary papers, terms and conditions and unveiling the number of years the new face of jiji would work with the company. 5;30pm, close up. 7;00pm, dinner with the CEO and new face of jiji." She looked at Claire who was face full of smiles. "Should I go on ma?" "Madam." Claire corrected. "I'm sorry madam." They both smiled. "Go on." "The second day doesn't have much activities. Breakfast with the same people at 7:30am, meeting with the board of trustees and the new face of jiji at 10;30am, lunch with them at 1:00pm, then close up at 2;30pm so you can get relaxed and ready for the dinner party at 9;30pm." "Whoever wrote this needs to be flogged. New face of jiji huh? Who said I've accepted that?" Ruth smiled. "It'll be a pleasure to us if you work with us madam. I'll leave a pamphlet for you so you can go through our terms and conditions so as to make up your mind before the meeting. My number is also attached to the pamphlet so you'll call me if anything comes up." Ruth concluded, bringing out a pamphlet from the diary. "Thanks Ruth." "You're welcome madam." Ruth stood up, looked around the room and heaved a sigh. "It's been a long day madam. I'll leave you now to rest." "Thank you Ruth." They both shared a hug. "I'll let them know that our special guest is here already and they'll attend to you. Take care for now." Claire watched as the lady left the room. The deal sounds interesting already and she already saw herself in every jiji advert. She would call her husband to give him the latest news, then she'll call Kelvin to tell him she was in town. A knock came on her door and she knew it was time to be treated as the special person she was. Chika was on sick leave. That means it was just her and her boss. She looked at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a black sleeveless gown. She had always admired her boss and now, it was time to get laid. She removed her pants and bra. Thank God her breasts were still standing firmly. She put back her gown on. Easy assess she smiled. She walked back to the sitting room and he smiled "Come and sit with me so we'll drink together Ebere. I'm bored." He said "But sir......" "Don't stress. It's just the two of us here now." She walked briskly to him and he pointed at the bar stool next to him. He poured her a glass and handed it to her. "Thank you." She said "So tell me about yourself Ebere. Are you a virgin?" His question came as a shock to her and she swallowed hard. The ringing of his phone interrupted them. "Take this bottle and your glass to my room. Spread eagle and wait for me." Without sparing her another glance, he picked the call and started the conversation with his WIFE. He just has to call her back. He called and she picked immediately. "Yes I've bought the form and patiently waiting for the list to be out. I don't lie Mr Kelvin and I only called because you've robbed me of my sleep. I had to let it out somehow and seeing the manner which you talked to me, I regret placing this call at the first place." Her voice still sounded melodious despite her attempt to be angry. Yes she was angry, his words had hurt her and she had the right to vent. He was in love with this woman for he was still on the call. No woman talked to him this way but he would swallow it. Because she was Gertrude. "I'm sorry Getty. Forgive my words. I was excited that you finally called and I let it rob my sense of speech. I've also been thinking about you and I've prayed that you'd call soon or I'll canvas the whole of Edo state looking for you. I'm sorry." "You've ..... You've been thinking about me?" "Yes my love." Then she hung up. He smiled. Her reaction was expected. He has found a wife. He dialled a number and waited for the person to pick. "Hello chief.' |
ABUJA. She walked into the arrival port, dragging her mini box. She heaved a sigh. If only Micheal didn't have a last minute conference. They had talked about it, they had booked their flight tickets and just yesterday, he brought in the news that they had an emergency meeting with some potential customers. She raised her head on time to see a young woman with a sign bearing her name; MRS CLAIRE NJAMA. She walked up to her with a smile. "You look more beautiful in person than the pictures Ruth." Claire said The young woman hugged her heartedly. "Wow. I'm excited to be the first to meet this fashionista in person. Welcome to Abuja Mrs Claire." "Thank you Ruth." Ruth took the box from her as they walked to the exit. There was a limo already waiting for them. The chauffeur did his job and they both stepped in. Claire smiled. Looked like she was getting familiar with limos this period. They were going to a five star hotel where she'd been lodged for a week. This couldn't get any better He carried his suitcase and walked out of the airport. His first stop would be a hotel. He needed to rest properly, take drugs to prevent jet lag and then speak with the PA to the chief justice. That's why he came two days before the supposed meeting. His phone rang as soon as he stopped a taxi. "Take me to the best hotel in town." He said to the driver and got in before picking his call. "You finally decided to pull your d!ck outta that cu#t right?" Enatel chuckled from the other end. "That means you're in Abj at the moment huh?" "Gosh. It's not funny Enatel. You refused to see me off because of a woman." "Same way you've refused to come to your senses because of a woman." "Enatel, my case is different. You......" "Don't start now please. Cleo has refused to pick my calls ever since you sent her out of the house. She's my best fork for crying out loud that is why I gave her to you, to ease......." "Best fork indeed." "Dude!" "My manchi. My regards to your babe oh. Maybe if I return, we can have all the fun alright?" "Call Cleo and apologise." "Okay. I will. But that'll be when I settle. I'm taking a ride to a hotel now." "Okay but make sure you call her." "Bye man. Nodu ofuma nwanne(stay well brother)" He hung up and closed his eyes, relaxing on the seat. "Don't worry sir. We'll be at the best hotel in ten minutes." He opened his eyes and smiled in appreciation "Thanks." He closed his eyes again. "I can't get enough of you. I want you every time, everywhere and every......." "Stop this nonsense Greg. I know we share same things in common. I love sex and you do to. We're crazy about it and all that but you see, I need to keep clean records here since I'm still on probation." "And who says you'll get caught huh? Since we started this silly argument, we would have just done this thing and......" "I'm not in the mood please." Since she got the call from Micheal, she couldn't stop thinking about a lot of things. Now, this man wants to rob her of her thoughts and peace of mind. "We might get caught. I......" "Enough b!tch. Str!p" he thundered and she shook in fright. "Greg?" "Forking s+rip before I tear those cheap things off your body." He was a sick man. He was easily annoyed, his temper knew no one, not even his blood relations. Sarah looked at him with shock written all over her face. He was tugging at his tie, breathing hard like a wounded lion. Her waywardness had brought her to this. Why didn't she leave after work? Why did she wait for him? Who would save her from this beast? Like lightening, he struck her face, causing her to fall back. He charged at her like an angry bull, separating her legs and tearing the thin fabric covering her womanhood. She won't take this. She has to fight this. She wont end up like this. Her life events flashes before her eyes and she knew she had been wrong. If only she'd learnt her lessons after Kelvin had dealt with her. She watched as he struggled with his belt. This was her chance to get away. She gathered all the strength she could, said a prayer to the Almighty and targeted his groin area. It was now or never!!! Gertrude looked at the number again. This has been her routine every morning since the one month she had left the Njama's family. She had found the number amongst the wad of notes Kelvin had given her. She had battled with herself for weeks, if she should call the number or not. Today, she just has to do it because he had robbed her of her sleep. She picked her phone and dialled his number. He picked after the fourth ring. "Yea?" His baritone voice spoke from the other end. "Good day Sir." "Beautiful day. Who's this please?" "It's me sir. It's Gertrude." TF! He had been waiting for this call like forever. Now that it was here, he lost his ability to speak. "Let me call you back." He said. He disconnected the call and redialled the number. "Hello sir." "Kelvin would do Gertrude. How've you been and how's Edo?" "I'm fine sir. Edo is fine too." "Have you resumed school? Or was that the best lie you could come up with?" She didn't say anything. But after some seconds which seemed like hours, she hung up. But his ears were sharp. He had heard her sob and he knew he had ruined it. |
Apollux:pls do that. There's meant to be a twist after all |
Apollux, you killed it already. But I'm in trouble as I don't know anything about guns and those weird killer slangs. So, ease it up a little please. |

The next morning, he served her breakfast in bed and she thanked him with a sincere smile. "I just got an email." She passed him her iPad when he was about leaving the room He read through and smiled lovingly. "That's nice. So you'll be going to Abuja next week?" "I don't know yet. Dunno if I should take it." She sipped her tea. He sat down beside her, dropping the iPad on the bed. "You should go hun. Endorsement from jiji is a huge one. At least, listen to their terms and conditions first." "Will you go with me?" She asked, making a puppy face. "Ask again." "Please go with me." She repeated. "Alright hun. We're in this together. I'll pick you up at 6:30. We're having dinner at cheraton." He pecked her and left the room while she giggled like a baby. She got her phone out and texted Kelvin. He replied immediately, congratulating her and wishing her marriage all the happiness. He turned on his phone and realised he had a message. He was on his way to the office. He opened it and it was from Sarah. He called her immediately. "Are you sick in the head?" He barked as soon as she picked the call She stammered at her end, not sure of what to say. "I'm trying to work on my marriage and the hell, you're ruining everything from that end. What if my wife had read that message?" "I'm.... I'm sorry Mich..... Sir." "Whatever. Messages like this would cost you your job that you wouldn't be needing someone to get you intoxicated for you to write a resignation." "I'm sorry Sir." "Better." He hung up and fixed his eyes back on the road. This was what he would have done earlier but he had let her bedroom prowess ruin him. He swerved left and turned to the block that housed his company. She lowered her head on the table and cried. He had purposely sent her to this place so he could move on with his life. He had used her and dumped her. A call came in and she picked without looking at the ID of the caller. "You fork well you know." "Who's this?" She asked, cleaning her teary face. "Come to the restroom and see for yourself." "Greg?" "Yes baby." "I......." "Miss Sarah?" Her boss walked into her office. She quickly dropped her phone and stood up. "You look pale. Are you still sick?" "No madam. I'm fine now, thank you." She looked her over. "See me in ten minutes. We need to go through some files for the board meeting tomorrow. I had to come myself so you won't give me the " you forgot" line. Ten minutes." "Yes madam." The boss lady walked out of the office and she picked her phone. Greg was still on the line. "Greg?" "I heard. I'll see you after closing hours. I need to teach you some lessons for being a naughty girl." She smiled. She was getting turned on already. "Yes master." He ended the call while she put her hand under her skirt. One thing she preferred this branch, she had her own office. "Are you impotent or a virgin? I've been in this house for three days. What are you scared of? I'm Nigerian, I'm beautiful. I've got stuffs that you'll love to handle. Why have you refused to touch me?" He looked at her and shook his head. Enatel and his babe have gone clubbing. She had wanted to go too but when she found out he wasn't going, she stayed back. "Phil?" "Is your name Claire?" She looked at him in shock. What kind of man did Enatel give her? He was super cute, rich and well built. Was he having mental problems or he's just dumb? "I'm Cleopatra." "Exactly. That's the problem. You're not Claire. You're not even close to being Claire. I'm in love with her. She's my everything and I can't think of cheating on her." "That's pathetic. Not in this generation dude. Have fun while it lasts. I've got everything a man wants in a woman, I'm beautiful, I'm ......." "Not the woman my heart beats for. I'm not a lay about. I don't sleep with everything in skirts. Nothing you'll say now will make me touch you so quit trying." He stood up and left the sitting room for her. She went in after him, picked her bags and left the apartment. Thank God Enatel already paid before bringing them here. Dinner was beautiful. She had gone home at five after her husband had called to remind her of their date. She had dressed in a dinner gown, did the necessary things every woman would do with her face, clutched her purse and stepped out only to see that it was a limo that had come to pick her up. Her husband wasn't inside but she was assured of her safety. She was driven to the beach where she'd seen her husband who went all lovey dovey. He had kissed her fully on the lips not minding the crowd. They had walked hand in hand into the restaurant and presently, she was in a beautiful guest house that overlooked the beach. They were spending the night here. She was surprised to find new sets of nighties, lingeries and clothes. He had outdone himself this time. She smiled as he stepped out of the bathroom. "Your turn honey, or, do you need my help?" "With all pleasure baby." |

She opened her eyes, sticking her fingers into her mouth to taste her juice. She missed having a man inside her but she had no choice. Her fingers would do for now. She dressed up, worked on her make up and was about stepping out when a guy walked into the restroom. He froze upon seeing her. He was the head of the IT department. She flashed him a smile and grabbed her handbag but he stopped her. "Ain't you the Lady who's story trended online few weeks ago? What are you doing here?" She rolled her eyes at him and tried to leave again. "I'm talking to you filth. What are you doing in this premises? Or you're looking for another minor to force yourself on?" This infuriated her. "Excuse me? I won't stand here and watch you insult me." "What would you do?" The argument was beginning to turn him on. Greg was an arse when it came to women. He had hidden that side of him from his colleagues for the four years he had walked in the company. Seeing this woman who did crazy things in a clip got his hormones worked up. He always stole into the female restroom to pleasure himself, using the female fragrance as his point of pleasure. Today, he was lucky. Very lucky. "I'm talking to you b!tch." Before she could say a word, he grabbed her arm and pushed her into a cubicle, bolting the door. She stared at him as he fought with her buttons, trying to free her melons. This was what she was looking for. She was going to enjoy this, forgetting the circumstances behind het transfer. He dropped the money and some tips on the table before they left. They just finished a wonderful meal and right now, he was taking her home to seal their reconciliation. He had missed her a lot and he was happy that she gave him another chance to prove himself worthy of her. They drove home in silence, using their eyes to speak volumes of what they wanted to do to each other. She stepped out of the restroom ten minutes after he left. She bumped into her boss. "I'm sorry madam." "Hold it. You've been gone from your table for over an hour. Is it lunch break yet?" "I'm sorry madam. I'm purging and its disturbing me real bad." She looked her over. She was all sweaty and looked different. She calmed down. It was her fellow woman after all. The lady was a b!tch but then, health issues aren't meant to be joked with. "Have you taken any medication?" "No madam. I'll get some during lunch break" "Don't joke with your health Sarah. You can take the day off. Not like you're my favourite person but I want you to be up and steady. I hate laziness." "Thank you madam. God bless you" The woman nodded and Sarah walked away. She didn't know her boss had a good side. Miss Leaticia looked at her until she disappeared out of site. She was 37 and had no interest in marriage or men. She was pretty, very pretty and tall. She turned heads wherever she went but she's refused all the men who came for her hand. She had seen the clip involving the lady and it was very bad. But since the ogas at the top wanted her in the company, who was she to say a word? She looked around before returning to her office. He looked at his wife and smiled. She was sleeping peacefully beside him. Dried lines of tears were still on her face. She had cried while he took her. He knew he had wronged her so he allowed her to cry it off. She had insisted they used her room and he knew why. He had defiled their matrimonial room. She stirred and he held her face, causing her to open her eyes. "I'm sorry baby. For all the pains and heartbreak I've caused you. Find a place in your heart to forgive me please. I know I wronged you. I shouldn't have fallen to that level but please, forgive me. Let's start afresh, all over " "Our room?" She asked as tears ran down to her ears "I'll change everything. We'll use here for now. The bed, the bedspreads, everything. Then we'll claim it as ours again. I love you Claire and I promise, it won't happen again." "My sister? My little sister? Where is she? How's she coping? When will I see her again? Micheal you didn't play fair. You treated me badly Micheal." She cried He held her firmly. He didn't play fair, he knew that and he was ready to make amends |
He adjusted his tie and got into the car. This was the last time he would come here. He fished his phone out of his suit and dialled Claire's number "Bae." He greeted as soon as she picked. "Yes dear. Been expecting your call." "I'm sorry honey. Had a little closed door meeting with some clients but I'm free now. Where are you?" "My office. Got here about an hour ago or maybe more." "So kelvin has gone?" "Yea." "Alright baby. I'll pick you up by one." "Okay. Take care." "You too baby." He hung up, turned on the ignition and drove off without sparing the building another glance. She hissed. Her new boss was a woman who doesn't know how to smile. This was the third time she was sending her coffee that morning. She dropped the mug on her desk and sat down dejectedly. Two days in the new branch and her boss already told her she was incompetent. She missed Micheal. Speaking of which, she picked her phone and dialled his number. He didn't pick so she quickly drafted a message; "Hi boo. I miss you so much. What about I come around this weekend so we can get crazy and fork ourselves to stupor? My Honeywell yearns for you dear. Reply ASAP." She sent it and dropped the phone, picked her handbag and made her way to the restroom. She needed to get laid and if she doesn't get a man, she'll create the kind of man she wants. She was dressed in a denim quarter trouser, a yellow crop top and a denim blazer. She completed her outfit with a yellow boot. Her make up was light and beautiful. She parked her hair in a messy bun. She stepped out of her plaza, turning heads to her direction. She spotted her husband's car and began to walk to it. He came out before she got to the car and they shared a passionate kiss. "Hi baby." She greeted "You're looking pretty as always honey. I'm the luckiest man alive." "Don't start with flattery honey." He took her to her side of the car and she got in. He closed the door after her and went to his side. He was happy. He had his marriage back and he would do anything to keep it that way. He got into the car and drove off. They were starting afresh and every other thing doesn't count. "I'll be going back next week bro." "Why? Don't tell me you're still thinking about her. I've made girls available for you......." "They are not Claire. But that's not why I'm going back to Nigeria." "Tell me. Phil, tell me, if not for Claire then why are you going back?" "I got an email last night. Chief justice of the federation wants a closed door meeting with me." "Are you sure Phil?" Phil rolled his eyes at him and stood up. "If it'll interest you, I'll come back after the supposed meeting biko. This maybe the breakthrough my firm has been looking for so I'm not gonna let it pass because you think I can't get over a heartbreak." "Your business Phil. You've got a woman in your bed so go to her." "She's sleeping alone. I'll use another room tonight. And please, stop bringing girls to me. I've got choices and special taste.* " For married women." "Get forked." He walked out of the sitting room while Enatel laughed heartily |
She looked at him and smiled. Exactly the reaction she had expected. "I was out with Kelvin." "Your husband right? Is that how shameless you are? You've forgotten that you're a married woman. Look at the time and tell me why you should be out by this time." He barked She breathed out and clutched her phone very tightly. "I'm talking to you Claire." "I know it's late Micheal. I'm sorry." Ebere and Chika walked in bearing huge shopping bags. They walked past the couple and went upstairs to Claire's room. "My foot. I'm very sure you're having an affair with Kelvin." "Excuse me?" "Excuse you loose woman. And I thought we could start afresh and work things out properly. I........" "Enough Micheal. How dare you?" She dropped her phone on the table and approached the surprised micheal. "Don't talk to me like that ever again. I didn't sleep with my secretary or your brother so please, don't call me a loose woman ever again. There's a limit to what I can take from you so you better not cross that line." She picked her phone and catwalked out of the sitting room. He stood rooted to the ground. She had never talked to him like that before. What was wrong with his wife? What has happened to his Claire? Has Kelvin fed her with rubbish? No! He picked his phone and dialled Kelvin's number. He picked after the third ring. "Mike?" "Hold it right there you traitor. What did you tell my wife? Why would you encourage her to insult me?" "Insult you? Claire insulted you? That's not true. Claire can't do that." "I see. Just get it straight Kelvin, I'll never forgive you for all you've done to me." Kelvin laughed at his end, getting Micheal all confused. "Don't forgive me Micheal. Please don't. You're beefing your best friend because he helped you get rid of the insect that was biting your scrotum. I've done my part as a friend, if you want to go back to Sarah, you can but don't ever call my line to talk trash." He hung up before Micheal could speak further. "Kelvin you won't get away with this, I promise." She was done, putting everything in place and was about to hit the shower when her phone rang. "Kelvin." She smiled and picked the call. "Hello Kel. You called just in time." "What transpired between your husband and yourself?" "You mean micheal and I?" "Do you have another man you call your husband?" "Kel..... Kelvin you're angry. What's wrong?" "Micheal called just now. He said you insulted him Claire." "Kelvin, he called me a loose woman, said we were having an affair Kel. Besides, I didn't insult him. I only told him to mind his tongue. If I had not done it that way, I'm very sure he would have beaten me." "Claire, you should have just walked away." "What time are you leaving tomorrow?" "My flight is for 10:00am." "You should go to bed now. It's very late. Call me before you leave so I can drive you to the airport." "No Claire. You......" "I insist. Good night Kel." He chuckled and ended the call. She dropped her phone on the table and entered the bathroom. He couldn't sleep. Claire was having an affair with Kelvin. She wasn't even ashamed of it. He was angry but he had wronged her first. He would start by making amends. He hoped that she would change and be that Claire he fell in love with. He would talk to her in the morning so they can start afresh. A text came into his phone and he checked it. Again! He would deal with this one first and after that, he would go on a lunch date with his pretty wife. They would start from there. He read the text message again and dropped the phone. Tomorrow would make all things better. A knock came on her door, waking her up. She stood up and went to open the door, thinking it was Ebere. To her surprise, it was Micheal, bearing a tray of breakfast. "Good morning baby." She wiped her eyes to be sure she wasn't dreaming. "May I come in?" He asked, smiling like a teenager in love. She nodded and excused him. He walked into the room and dropped the tray on the bed. "I brought you breakfast. Come." She couldn't speak. He pulled her gently to the bed and helped her to mix the beverages before opening the plate of home made toast. "You go on. I've got something important to attend to before I leave for the office " He took a bite from the toast and pecked her forehead before heading to the door. "Uhm...." She cleared her throat. He turned to her, looking so loving and concerned. "Kelvin will be leaving by ten. Can I drop him at the airport?" "Of course wifey. He's family but please, I'll pick you from the plaza so we can have lunch together." She nodded and he left the room. He was glad that at least, she respected him by telling him about kelvin, then, she agreed to go on the lunch date with him. He would get his wife back and they would start all over again. She smiled. Lunch date with Micheal? That was like decades ago. She would dress all hot for him and maybe, just maybe, they would try on having another baby. She giggled and sipped from her tea cup, thanking God in her heart for saving her marriage again. |

Knowing that she was guilty of the question been thrown to her, she quietly excused herself, claiming she had unfinished meeting with her boss, the MD. It wasn't news that Nancy was sleeping with the MD who was newly married. Everyone in the company knew about that so for Micheal to have asked her that question meant one thing; he wanted to draw more people into his predicament. Ten minutes later, Sarah knocked and walked into the office of her former boss and lover. Unlike her usual self, she was dressed in a denim gown and flat denim sandals. Her make up was very light. Looking at her, one would know that she was frustrated. "Good morning sir." She greeted. "Sit down." He answered with no emotions. She lowered herself to one of the visitor's chair not looking up. "Why did you do it?" He asked "Sir, I'm sorry. He deceived me. He........" "You've been seeing him before the tape incident so tell me why you fu©king did it." He yelled, standing up and towering over her Tears ran down her face, knocking down her ability to speak. "I loved you Sarah. I cheated on my wife with you, I hit my wife for you, I lost my baby because of you. Because he's more handsome, he probably told you his net worth and you gave him yourself so cheaply. Tell me what he did for you, tell me what he gave you." "No....nothing." She cried "He forked you for nothing. I knew it. And you resigned from here, accusing me of what we both did together." He started pacing the room which became hot all of a sudden despite the air con. "I did whatever you wanted. I gave you whatever you asked for. Why are women so selfish and greedy?" She sobbed loudly. She was full of regrets. He had done nothing to her but Kelvin had used her to ruin both of their lives. "Why are you crying? Did you cry when he was banging the sh!t outta you? Did you cry when you grafted that resignation letter? Your moans and screams were all I heard to know you were enjoying it. So why are you crying?" She went on get knees, holding his legs. "I'm sorry sir. I'll meet with the board and talk to them. You've been very good to me and I can't let you suffer for my mistakes. I'm sorry please forgive me." He watched her cry at his feet. He remembered the times they spent together and he tried to control the urges welling up in him. He would be a good husband to Claire. He won't make her see reasons to doubt him anymore. "Sit down." He said, withdrawing from her hold. They sat at the bar of "ancient pillar" hotel. There table housed different varieties of drinks and chop chops. Claire had a plate of suya soaked in groundnut and pepper with a bottle of chilled star raddler while Kelvin had a full barbequed fish and a chilled bottle of origin. "Claire?" "Hmmm?" She answered with mouth full of meat. "How was your day?" She chuckled, sipped from her glass and pouted her lips. "I dunno. Don't ask me." "Okay but my day was very boring. The girl I went out with bored the hell outta me." Claire broke into a laugh, laughing hard that her eyes got shiny with tears. Kelvin joined her, drawing attention of other people at the bar. "Your sense of humour sucks Kel." She said, wiping off tears from her eyes. "I just want you to be happy Claire." "I know you know that I had fun." She said and they both smiled at her dry sense of humour. "Today was fantastic. I've not had so much fun all my life. You're a Darling and I wish you're my......." "Sshhhh. Don't say it but know that I'm more than that. Micheal will learn, believe me, he will." "When Kel? Let's not ruin this moment now. After this, we're going to see a movie." "What about dinner? You're supposed to eat at home." "You're wicked. With all these things, do you think there will be space for dinner? Movies or........" "Alright. We'll go so you don't kill me." "Good. Silly boy." They came out of the conference room several hours later. Micheal was satisfied with the turn out of event. Sarah had lied to everyone about the identity of the one who made her do things against her wish. They had drawn conclusions, accusing their top competitor for trying to dent the image of the young billionaire, Micheal. Sarah was pardoned but was transfered to their branch office in Enugu while letters were sent to their branch office in Abuja to send a male and female as Micheal's PA and secretary respectively. They got to his office and he went straight to the fridge, brought a drink and two glasses and they began to drink. "Thank you Sarah for keeping to your words. I kept mine too because you still have a job so drink." She sipped from the glass and stood up. "Thank you sir. I was worried that I'll be unemployed for the rest of my life." "Yea. All thanks to me." "I should get going now. I need to pack up since I've just been given till Monday to be in Enugu." "Alright." She thanked him once again and left the office. He looked at his wristwatch, 7;59pm. He picked his stuff and left the office. Today had been one hell of a day. He got home at exactly 9:31pm and to his surprise, his wife was not yet home. He took his bath, ate dinner and waited in the sitting room. He was sure she was up to something with Kelvin. Thoughts of both of them together got him infuriated. He heard the honk of a car and he rushed to the window. She was back. A look at the wall clock said it was 10:15. A married woman was coming home by that time. He sat back down as he heard the door open. She came in, looking exactly the way she left. Ebere came and greeted her. "Evening Ebere. The car is open. Call Chika so you two would get my things to my room." "Yes ma. I mean, yes madam." She nodded and began to walk towards him while Ebere left. "Good ev........" "Save the greetings and tell me where you're coming from." |
He was seated at the dinning, waiting for breakfast when his wife came downstairs. His jaw dropped open as he watched her. She was dressed in a yellow chiffon gown that stopped on her mid thigh. The gown was so transparent that he could see the white crop top and white bum short she wore inside. She completed her outfit with a white Nike snicker and a white channel handbag. One thing he loved about his wife was her fashion sense. She stood out wherever she went. Little wonder her business was successful because people kept endorsing her. "Good morning." She greeted "Morning baby. How was your night?" "I bless God. I'm leaving for the plaza." She pouted her lips "Won't you have breakfast with me?" He knew the answer but he just wanted to ask. "I'll eat out. Thanks. What will your day be like?" Anger and jealousy filled his heart. Kelvin was trying to take his wife from him. "I'll go to the office. I've got to make arrangements for a new secretary and a PA." "You never wanted a PA before now." "Change. It won't hurt if I try it out now." Her phone beeped and she checked it "I'll leave now. Be home early for dinner." To his surprise, she pecked his forehead and cat walked out of the house. Was he dreaming? Claire pecked him? He stood up and rushed to the window in time to see her step into her car. This was a good start. She has forgiven him. A smile appeared on his face as he sat back at the dinning. Ebere came out with his breakfast, served him and was about leaving when his phone beeped. He read the message and paused. "Ebere right?" He asked "Yes sir. Do you need anything else?" He ran his eyes over her and shook his head. She was more beautiful than Gertrude but with lesser modalities. "Run me a bath." He said and started eating his favourite dish of spaghetti. They sat at a table beside the window at crunches. He had not only taken her shopping but had given her a lot of profit for the day because all they bought were from her plaza. Handbags, boots, heels, wedges, snickers, clothes and wigs. The sales girl had given them a discount like she didn't know them. Everything was stacked in her car. They had taken pictures and videos which were trending on Snapchat and Instagram. She had never had so much fun in her life. Now, they were seated for lunch. A waitress came with their meal; two plates of fried rice, a full chicken, bottles of water and a bottle of Andre. She dropped them on the table and walked away, promising to bring dessert in forty five minutes. "Wow. Full peppered chicken. I'm so loving this." She took pictures while Kelvin laughed. "I'll say it over and over again, you're a baby." "And this time, I have to agree with you." They laughed and started eating. This was of course, the best day of the young woman's life. Pairs of eyes met him as he stepped into the complex. He wasn't shaken because he expected the reaction he was getting. He responded to greetings as formal as possible before heading to his personal lift. He had done what he thought would remedy the situation. He had called the board to a meeting himself and had even gone ahead to invite Sarah. He got to his office and sat down. Nancy, the MD's secretary had cleaned his office for him and he was grateful. She came in moments later, bearing some files. "Excuse me sir. The MD asked that you look at this files." She dropped them on the table. He nodded with a slight smile. "The board will be ready in an hour for the meeting." "Nancy, I want to ask you a personal Q." "Go ahead sir." "What's your opinion about men who cheat on their wives?" While they waited for dessert, they got busy with their mouth. "So when will you bring a woman home? I need a daughter in law Kelvin." He laughed and she followed. "Oh my Claire you won't kill me y'know." "Believe me, I won't." They laughed again. "But I'm serious. When will you get married?" "Soon pretty face. I just don't want to make mistakes. You know, I thought Amara was the one but she was totally the opposite of who I thought she is." Her eyes narrowed but she maintained her smile. "Don't use that as an excuse. There are lots of good women out there. Don't let Amara's behaviour ruin your thoughts about women " "Of course not. You're a woman too so I need no one to tell me that there are good women around." "Good. So when are you leaving?" "Tomorrow evening. I've booked my flight already." "Awwn. I'll miss you Kel." "Not as much as oll miss you pretty face." She smiled and held his outstretched hands over the table "You're a good woman Claire, you're strong and I'm proud to be among the few people in your life." "Don't make me cry Kelvin. It'll ruin my makeup and I won't look good for an afternoon selfie." She sniffed, holding back the urge to cry. He laughed and pinched her palm "Don't cry honey because I need that selfie." "Then don't make me. I'll miss you Kelvin." "I know. I know Claire. But I want you to be happy. You know the difference between good and bad. Instead of you to stay unhappy with something, walk away before it eats your head. You know what I mean right?" She nodded and her eyes caught the waitress approaching with their dessert. "And my dessert is here." She giggled excitedly. "You're a baby " "I know. I know." They laughed as the waiter approached their table. Friends who make your happiness their priority are not just friends. They're family. |
Good morning guys. How has it been? Please let's stop this quarrel amongst us. It has occupied like four pages out of the 21 the story already has. No one in his right senses will encourage wife battery, rape or any of the evil vices done by our favourite character, Micheal. Let's stop the hate and enjoy the story guys. I still love you all including those that said I shouldn't quote them. You guys are one in a million. Update coming soon |
Happy birthday dear. Age with grace. More blessings and endless favours. |
She picked up his complementary card. It was her last resort. She prayed he picks her call. She dialled his number using a different sim and he picked after the fourth ring. "Micheal Njama on the line, who's this?" It was obvious he was angry but she just had to do this. "Micheal, your friend set me up. He drugged me to make me sexually active and he ended up getting it on tape. He r@ped me Micheal and in my unconscious state, forced me to tend in my resignation. Micheal.........." He hung up and she threw the phone on the bed. He didn't believe her. He will never believe her. He had heard enough. So Kelvin was the architect of it all. He had hated Sarah so much but this was the height of it. He angrily left the room and headed to Kelvin's room, anger mixing with the blood in his veins. He got to the room and without knocking, threw the door open. Kelvin turned in shock. "Man, easy with the door abeg." His statement was met with a blow on the jaw and before Kelvin knew it, he was on the floor. "What are you doing Micheal. Are you drunk?" Kelvin asked, holding the urge to hit back. Micheal didn't stop throwing punches. "How dare you set her up? How dare you r@pe her? How dare you Kelvin?" This infuriated Kelvin and for that, he started throwing back the punches. A little struggle here and there and Kelvin was on top, beating Micheal without batting eyelids. He stood up when Micheal stopped his attempt at hitting back which was a failure. "I've always wanted to do that to you the very moment I saw Sarah but I held back. It's a shame that for the sake of this same Sarah, you hit me man, you hit your own brother. So what if I set her up? At least she's paying the price for everything Claire went through. She'll be jobless her entire life and your facing the board is just a little punishment so you can control that little man down there. You're a f°°l Micheal and your only luck is that you're my best friend." Kelvin concluded, wiping the blood that was running from his broken lip. "Get out of my house." Micheal said from the floor "Of course I'll leave but bear this at the back of your mind, go back to that disgusting b!tch and I'll ruin you from Abuja because I also have a tape of you two in your office. F°°l." He cursed and turned to the door to see Claire standing there. He wiped his lips again and left the room. He needed a drink and he'll book his accommodation with a hotel. He would be there till his looks are okay before he goes back to Abuja. She had heard the commotion and was curious. What kind of rough play is that one? She got to the room only to realise that it was rough but the play was excluded after all. She had heard it all and swallowed it; hook line and sinker. She also turned and went back to her room. Micheal could fight for a lover, interesting. She lay on her bed and the effect of the drugs came down on her and she closed her eyes to answer nature's call. Kelvin sat at the bar in the sitting room. The liquor burned his broken lip but he didn't stop. There was need to get wasted. His own bestfriend asked him out of the house. What's worse? He filled another glass and emptied it in one gulp. He already paid for a suite at "ancient pillars" so he was waiting for the sun to go home before he left. Thinking about the fight, he hissed again and slammed his fist on the table. A sane Micheal won't hit him, a sane Micheal won't ask him out of the house for the sake of a woman who isn't Claire. She woke up, stretched and left for the kitchen. It was time for her favourite "twist of fate" and her room was becoming boring to her so she decided to do it in the sitting room but first of all, she would get junks to keep her mouth busy. She picked a bowl, the cornflakes pack and the thin of milk. She also picked a bottle of water and began her journey to the sitting room. She can choose between corn flakes and her love for beans and plantain. She got to the sitting room upstairs and was surprised to see Kelvin sitting at the bar. "How long have you being sitting down there?" She asked, dropping her packages on a side table. He didn't respond. "Are you drunk?" She asked again He chuckled "For the first time in my life Claire, my drinking prowess has failed me. Look, I've downed half of this bottle but I'm sober." She took the nearest bar stool and held his hands. "Kelvin, you don't have to get drunk for any reason and you know it." He looked at her and shook his head. "You saw that right? My brother hit me because of his lover. Ain't we supposed to be inseparable? He chose his lover over his own brother Claire.". "The same way he chose that lover over his wife. Come, I know what to do to get you outta this mess." She stood up and he followed suit. She picked her properties from the side table and they headed to the dinning. "Claire, I'm not a baby." "Neither am I. But I love cornflakes." He smiled and they settled down. She mixed the junk and they settled down to it, each picking spoons from the spoon rack on the table. He hadn't come back to the room. Or did he leave without his things? He looked at the wrist watch, it was few minutes past seven. He stood up from the floor and grunted in pain. He couldn't stand straight and he was sure his face was a sight for sore eyes. He carried himself out of the room and heard laughter coming from the sitting room. He recognised his wife's laughter anytime. He had missed that. He tiptoed to the sitting room and found them eating from same bowl. He withdrew and leaned on the wall. When was the last time he ate with his wife, when was the last he made her laugh so loud? "This is the last one, you'll have it so open up." He heard Kelvin say. "You've fed me all through. Lemme do this one." His wife said babyish "Alright." He heard them mimick a mother feeding a baby and jealousy choked his throat. "Thank you Claire. You're the best." "I know, I know. You don't have to say that." They both laughed heartily. "So its been settled, tomorrow, we're going shopping at your plaza.' "Yipee." Kelvin laughed. "You're a baby, you know that right?" "I'm not. Babies don't get married." "Right. So, breakfast, lunch, shopping and movies with me tomorrow. I want to enjoy my last moment in Lagos with you." "Awwn. What about dinner?" "You'll have dinner in your home Claire." Silence fell between them and Micheal was tempted to go and apologise to his best friend for fighting him. "I'll be leaving now Claire. I'll call you tomorrow morning." "Good night Kelvin and please, take care of yourself." "I will pretty face." He quickly left, not missing his wife's chuckle. He rushed to his room and bolted it from inside. He didn't want to see his face. His pride was too much. A quick turn from the door and the pain on his waist came back. "Sh!t" He cursed. |
Sterope:imagination or not abi, then kukuma get out of here. You concluded my story for me and I'm quiet about it but this is enough. There's a limit to all nonsense. Wat if this story doesn't end d way you're thinking it would end? Please eh, go and construct a story and I'll gladly come and read, derail the thread, confuse the readers and make sure u clap for me. |
Please guys, I understand we all must not have same thoughts about an issue. I also understand you guys are trying to keep the thread lively but see, some people are already taking it personal. I'm a woman so I can't encourage wife battery or r@pe. I write as the inspiration comes. It's not fair how you guys concluded on this story without allowing me to finish it. I can't end this story giving people the idea that karma doesn't exist or that people can go about doing whatever evil they wanna do. Sterope, please calm down. Ehe! Those that said critism, biko, I allow them because I'm not perfect and I need you guys to aid in making me close to perfect. But there's a very big difference between criticizing my mistakes and running conclusions on a story. I've written two stories here before this one and the flow has been beautiful, critics and encouragements that led me to continue. But if you guys version of criticism is to conclude on someone's story, biko, hold your critics abeg. And note, I've got bad mouth. A very bad one. So anyone who tries to tell me "what should have been" in this story, let me not talk. Happy Sunday y'all |
"You look beautiful Gertrude." Kelvin commented and Gertrude blushed "Thank you sir." She replied shyly. "Gertrude, I want to thank you for the time you spent here, helping me take care of my home. I pray that God blesses you abundantly as you go in search of greener pastures." Claire said "Thank you madam. I'm also grateful for all you've taught me. I'll always have you in my heart. Thanks a lot madam." Gertrude spoke with emotions. "Here, have this. Add it to whatever you have saved up." Claire said, handing her a cheque from the notebook she came down with. Gertrude took the cheque, examined it and was on her knees immediately, holding Claire's feet. "Thank you madam. Thank you so very much. You've been like a sister I never had. May your river never run dry. May........" "Amen Gertrude, please stand up." Claire stood up, trying to pull Gertrude up. She succeeded and they both went into each other's arms. "You'll be successful Gertrude and please, always keep in touch." She nodded, not letting go of Claire. Ebere and Chika watched from a corner, shedding tears silently. "Gertrude." Kelvin called out. She freed Claire and turned to Kelvin. "Come." He said standing up She approached in unsteady steps as kelvin dipped a hand into his trouser pocket, fishing out a bundle of money. "I hope this helps too." He said, handing the money to her. She thanked him and put the money and cheque into her handbag. "Thank you sir, thank you madam. I'm grateful." Claire nodded and sat down on her former position, resuming her breakfast. "Uhm, Gertrude." Micheal stuttered Everyone turned to him including Claire. "Please have this." He stretched a cheque to her. "Don't bother Sir. What madam and Mr Kelvin here has given me is more than enough. Thanks anyways." She went to the surprised Claire, gave her a hug and picked up her box Ebere and Chika came to her and together, they left the dinning area. Claire and Kelvin stared at Kelvin. Claire was ignorant of Gertrude's reason for acting that way. But Kelvin knew and he didn't blame the poor girl. Micheal felt insulted. How could she make a fool out of him like that? He cast his anger and frustration on his plate of yam and egg sauce. Stupid! He cursed. He stood up and left the dinning, feeling two pairs if eyes digging a hole at his back. He got to his room, cursing Gertrude. She had made a fool out of him, how dare she. He was about hitting his fist on the wall when kelvin came into the room and locked the door. "Did you see that cheap thing? That nobody, she made a fool out of me in front of those house girls. She's lucky she's already leaving or else......." "You would have raped her again?" Kelvin shot at him. He turned to kelvin in shock, so she told him. "Yes. How could you be so shaneless Micheal and you're here, beating your guts because she refused to take your gift? If I were in her shoes, the moment you try to give me that money, I'll ask you the exact thing you're paying me for." Micheal shot his eyes up, shame written all over his face. "You f'd up man. How did all these things start? Sarah. You go running after women not knowing what they've got inside them. I'm happy Sarah ended up the way she did and if you don't change, you'll end up in worse situation. I came to tell you that I'll be leaving in two days." Kelvin concluded, spared his friend one last look and left the room. Claire remained seated at the dinning even after Ebere had cleared the table. Why would Gertrude reject Micheal's cheque? Something was wrong and she just has to fix her hand on it. She glanced at her wristwatch, nurse Abigail was yet to show up. She called her office to know if things were running smoothly after which she left for her room. |
purityval:yeeeaaa! He finally showed up. Brother mi see what is happening here. They've taken my story away from me ![]() |

The next morning began with Gertrude making assorted dishes. It was going to be her last chore in the house. Ebere and Chika helped her, pleading with her at same time not to leave. They'd made white rice and vegetable sauce, roasted turkey, catfish peppersoup, white yam and egg sauce. Now, she was frying the plantain while the girls washed the dirty dishes. "Don't worry eh, during vacations, I'll come around, that is if you girls are still here." "Are you sure? Don't do us promise and fail o." Ebere chipped in. "I won't. I promise." Gertrude responded "I won't say anything yet o till I see you. Ehe, are we expecting guests?" Chika asked "Mba o. That other visitor, Mr kelvin gave Gertrude the list of what to cook. Maybe they're celebrating something." Ebere responded. "Nsogbu adiro. My stomach is already wanting the food." Chika said and they all laughed. Gertrude rounded up with the plantain and put it in its place before heading to the dinning to set the table. She ran into Micheal who came to collect water from the fridge. "Good morning sir." She greeted He looked at her, memories of what he had done to her came to his head and he bit his lips. "Morning Gertrude. Uhm, are you really going navj to school or you just used that to get my wife's permission?" "I wish to go back to school sir and I told madam the truth.' "That's good to hear. I want to apologise for what I did to you. I need no soothsayer to tell me that's the reason why you're leaving. I'm sorry and do find it in your heart to forgive me." "Please don't embarrass me sir. You don't have to.......' "My being your employer gives me no right to treat you in whatever way I please. Forgive me and thanks for keeping my secret." "Its alright sir. Thank you. Breakfast will be ready in ten minutes." He gave her a nod and left with the bottle of water. She woke up and was surprised to find herself in a different room. She looked around and saw her wedding pictures on the wall. How dare he bring her to that room? How dare he make her lie on that bed he had defiled? She stood up and made to leave but the door opened and he came in, bolting the door behind him. "Good morning my princess, hope you slept well." He said with a smile. "Why did you bring me here?" Her question surprised him but he still maintained his smile "Baby this is our room. You slept off and......" "And you should have taken me to my room. Never you think that I'll share this room with you again." "Baby I'm sorry. You don't have to punish me this way honey. I love you and treating me like this hurts Claire. It's not fair." She felt his pain but she needed to break him. He needs to respect her as a woman. "Sleeping with my sister is not fair. In my house, in my room, Micheal that is not fair. I'm outta here." She brushed past him and left the room. He sat down on the bed, holding the bottle of water. He deserved it, whatever she does or says, he deserves it. But he won't stop, he won't give up in their marriage. His phone beeped and he picked it from the lamp stand. It was a text message. He read it and ignored it, gulping down the water straight from the bottle. He would straighten his marriage, make things perfect and then deal with his past. The intercom rang, inviting him for breakfast. He picked up his phone and left the room. She picked up the phone and the grumpy voice spoke up; "How do I get my money? Or do you wish I get it in kind?' She smiled. He was always the best. "I'm coming to the house." She hung up, picked her handbag and left the house. She got to her house and was surprised to see the MD and some guys in the premises. He saw her and walked up to her. "Good evening Sarah." "Evening Sir. Has it been long you got here? Let me open the door so we'll go in." He nodded and she led the way. She opened the door and he followed her while the rest of the guys waited outside. "Sit down sir. I'm sorry it may be dusty. I've been in my aunt's house." "Hope everything is fine?" He asked, using a finger to check the cushion before sitting down "Yes sir." She said, sitting adjacent to him "The boss sent me to you." He started. Her heart started the somersaults. Was she going to be arrested for lying? Maybe he misses her and wants her back. Or, has he seen the videos trending online? It's been two days since kelvin duped her. "He wants to apologise for harassing you and pleads that you do not take the case to court." She nodded. She wouldn't be that stupid because he was innocent and she would loose the case if she dared. She doesn't even have money to hire a good lawyer. "Secondly, the company has given you 30 days to vacate this apartment since you've resigned from the company. We'll be checking if we owe you anything and you'll hear from us in six days." She was doomed for life. With the trending videos, who would ever employ her? The MD stood up and she joined him. "I just hope you know what you're doing Sarah. I'll leave now" She thanked him and he left. She slumped in her former position and cried bitterly. She should have remained in her lane after the several rejections from Micheal but no, she wanted to explore. She had learnt her lessons the hard way. Kelvin and Micheal were already in the dinning when Claire came down. She was dressed in a plain chiffon gown and she had a notebook in hand. She got to them, greeted Kelvin and sat at the end of the table. Ebere served her white rice and vegetable sauce, adding two slices of yam, just the way she liked it. "Where's Gertrude?" Claire asked? "She's dressing up." Ebere replied. "Okay. Tell Chika that I've called the agency and two more girls will be joining you tomorrow. You may leave now." "Thank you ma." "Eh?" "Thank you madam." Ebere corrected. "That's better." Ebere left the dinning area with smiles. Her boss was educated and loved having intelligent people around. Kelvin bit from his turkey and hummed. "I'm sure you guys will miss Gertrude." He said. "Big time. She's good and I'll miss her, but then, she's leaving for her own good." Claire added. "I'll pack up these things when we're done, then I'll eat them all later. She's a wonderful chef." Kelvin joked "Your stomach will end up suffering the consequences." Claire said and they laughed. Gertrude showed up with her bag just then. She was dressed in a jean trouser and Versace top. Her natural hair hung on her shoulder. She wore no make up but she looked beautiful enough to turn heads. "I'm ready to leave madam." |
I'm sorry for last night's short update. I was feeling sleepy but I said I must drop something for you guys. I slept in the middle of typing and when I got myself, I decided to just post the one I've written and jejely answer the call of nature. "What is this Micheal?" "Baby, I'm sorry. I know that no word justifies my action towards you this past few days but please honey, for all we've shared, forgive my shortcomings. I....' "Get out. Get out of here before I change my mind Micheal." "Honey, hit me, slap me, do whatever but please, forgive me. I don't know what came ovet me. I was blind Claire. Listen, I promise we can still be better than we were. Holiday to Bahamas, shop at Dubai, anything you want baby." "How about giving me your attention? If its not a board meeting by ten, its a business proposal you want to look at. Micheal it's not about money and material packages Micheal. If you'd given me attention, you'll notice the changes in me and we'll tackle it together. I don't want holidays or picnics or shopping or whatever. I want my husband Micheal. I want the man I married. Give him back to me Micheal." She cried, sliding down the wall to the floor. She wept, thankfully and still, with lots of regrets. It was going to be difficult for her. He had slept with her sister, who knows what would have happened if she'd not caught them that night. He kneel walked to her and held her, pulling her into his arms. He had missed her and he regretted ever making her cry. She'd been faithful to him, even after she found out that he was having an affair with his secretary. The secretary that had ruined him. He was going to deal with her. If only he knew that things would turn out like this, he would have had her fired the very first time she seduced him. But he thought with his Johnson instead of his brain and it had cost him a lot. "I'm sorry baby. I'm sorry I promise. Let's go back to the life we had before now. I'll make everything better I promise. I'll be that man you want Claire. I promise." She let him hold her. She'd missed him. He walked upstairs and found them in each other's arms, crying their eyes out. He smiled, beating his chest proudly for accomplishing his goal. At least, he would go home now without fear. Claire has got her marriage back and he was satisfied. He would talk to Micheal later but for now, they should take their time. She stepped into the flat with her box. The agent came to her immediately with a big smile. "Hope you like the apartment madam?" She looked around, satisfaction gleaming in her eyes. "Show me around. I'm loving the decor already." He smiled and led the way. Twenty minutes later, she was transferring eight hundred thousand naira to his account while he wrote her receipt. "I would have paid for a year but my husband will be back before the expiration of this six months.' "Its alright madam. You're welcome." He left the apartment and she went to the room. The house was big enough to contain six people but it was only a room and sitting room with the dining area. It also had a big kitchen and it was worth the amount being charged for it. She began to unpack her things, having it in mind to call Micheal once she was done. They both sat down on Kelvin's bed, not talking to each other. Claire had cried herself to sleep in his arms and he had carried her to their room, their matrimonial room. He was about going to the sitting room for a drink when he ran into Kelvin who invited him to his room for a chat. "Man, this silence is killing o." Micheal said Kelvin smiled. "I'll get us drinks and then ask the girls to send chicken upstairs. It's good to have you back bro." They shook hands and Kelvin left the room. He would disclose nothing to Micheal. The most important thing was that he had realised his mistakes. Whatever happened before today should remain behind. Hope you guys understand me please. It's still your girl, Pamelb |
She woke up with a massive headache. She was still in her birthday suit, the same way Kelvin had left her hours back. She felt his side of the bed but it was empty. She stood up weakly and went to the bathroom, there was no sign of him or any of his clothing. How could he leave without letting her know? She picked up her phone to call him and realised that a sheet was folded neatly under it. She picked it out of curiosity. Maybe it could be a love note from her heartthrob; "By the time you'll be reading this, you'll be the most sort out pr•stitude in the country and far beyond. You owe me a lot, for bringing you to popularity. What were you thinking? That I'll date you, you of all people? With your bleached face and fake charisma? I'm laughing out loud right now. You're a big f••l miss secretary. Wait for the 3.4mil and a visit to my father. Enjoy the rest of your stay at the hotel. You still have like four more days to enjoy my money. You will be asking why I'm doing this to you huh? Call me karma because I destroyed you for breaking into Claire's marriage. See you when I see you, bleached face. She slumped on the bed and cried bitterly. How could he do this to her? She loves him a whole lot but look what he's done to her. She picked her phone to call him only to realise that her entire phone has been restored to factory settings. All her contacts, messages, chats and pictures have been wiped. He didn't want her to reach him ever again. She noticed the disc on the table and she picked it up, brought out her laptop and got the heavy shock of her life. He looked at his phone now, praying that a miracle happens now that he's going away. She should at least, drop a message or call him. He looked at his phone one last time as his flight was announced. It was a lost battle. She wasn't coming to him anytime soon. He left the room, having decided to speak to his wife. His conscience was dealing him blows and kelvin was yet to show up. He found himself in front of her room and he tapped on the door. He got no response and he repeated the action. He heard feet shuffle and he braced himself for an attack. She opened the door and her fragrance hit his nose. He had personally recommended the soap for her because it smelt like strawberry. Her eyes scanned him without emotions and he swallowed hard. "Yes?' Her voice was calm and a little bit shaky but her face showed strength and bravery. He knelt down and held her feet, sobbing quietly. She shifted back and looked at him properly. "Micheal what is this? |
