This island is not really far away from PHC Town. It is less than 1km away from the busy Harold Wilson Drive. Not exactly hidden, if you ask me.

You're funny.

Your device is a low-end/entry-level offering from Xiaomi. That is, a device made for people on a budget, people wey no get money

I know you spent 70k on this device, but don't be surprised this phone of yours would sell for less tha n 50k if not for the recent deterioration of our dear currency.

So, if you must compare Xiaomi to Apple, do so with their upper midrange or high-end offerings, not a phone you bought for 70k.

I'm saying this because I know someone who bought ordinary Redmi 9 and was screaming out of his lungs to anyone who cared to listen that Xiaomi is far better than Apple, Samsung, etc. He even said the camera beats that of the iPhone 11.

Imagine arriving at such verdict with a phone that cost less than $150. Nobody says shouldn't love Xiaomi, but some of you just overdo it.

If you wanna know how truly amazing XIAOMI devices are, go for their high-end smartphones, each of which falls within the price bracket of 200k to 580k.

And FYI, Xiaomi has one device that is far better (emphasis on "far better" ) than the supposedly best device iPhone 12 Pro Max by Nigerian standards, Fanboyism, and gullibility. That phone is MI 11 Ultra, and it's sold for ₦560k or thereabout.

If you buy that one and start comparison, I'll be proud of you and support your bragging with one bag of beans.

Your last sentence though. Seriously, the value of the naira is making it difficult for phone vendors to sell their high end phones over here. When I bought my Galaxy S2 in 2011 it only cost me 85k, which was the equivalent of about 500 dollars. Today 500 dollars is about 200k! It's a sad situation.

Youths join politics when entry form alone is #30m or above? How many youths have seen #1m before? Only God can save this country.

My brother, but the youths can buy flashy cars and flaunt them on Instagram. They build mansions for themselves and their parents and show them off on social media. They go on holiday to exotic destinations and show off the pictures on social media. Many of them are people of means.

God will judge...lols.
That's the problem with Nigeria. Consumer protection is very poor. In America, by law, a celebrity cannot endorse a product he doesn't use. This helps to eliminate low quality products from the market.

LegalRambles the number 1 Xiaomi marketer. Lol, you can't fool me. You're doing a great job though. grin grin

LegalRambles:
The phone section is filled with various Marketers. But the most voracious, highly toxic and very aggressive of them all are the Xiaomi Marketers. The apply Various tactics to draw unsuspecting buyers to their brand. So I have decided to create a go-to manual for new visitors to the phone section. This wisdom applies not only to Xiaomi but also generally to avoid being ripped off.
Marketers / Marketing are easily identifiable via these

1 The marketers don't accept their brand is wrong

2 They easily get upset and violent

3 They create numerous threads praising their brand

4 They always have on hand statistics and provide images showing how well their brand has done in other continents or countries.
5 They never see reason with an opposing argument no matter how strong it may be
6 Their comments attracts alot of likes no matter how ridiculous it may be. On Nairaland likes doesn't translate to sense or truth. The longer you have been on Nairaland then you'll discover this truth.

I don't understand how these fake alerts deceive people. Don't the recipients look for the account balance in the message? No scammer can guess the correct account balance.
