No it does not. I don't know where you're getting your strange stats from. Nigeria's birth rate, fertility rate and population growth rate are FARRRR higher than Brazil. It's not even close. Please, use your Google. This is 2019, not 1919.

Homosexuality has little influence on birth rates. Homosexuals are a small minority of the population.
China's population is not a measure of its breeding habits. It simply means ancient China consolidated a very large, homogeneous civilization. And nobody is talking about population here, but population growth rate. China's population is static and barely growing and might be entering a period of recession (like Japan and South Korea which have declining populations). Most of the population growth in the world over the next century will come from subsaharan Africans because we still breed like medieval Europeans. It's symptomatic of an unproductive culture. It's a fact of life that productive, enlightened cultures simply don't have the time or inclination to be breeding like rabbits. And we need a serious reorientation.

Brilliant!

All these stories of 2or 4 kids doesn't add up to me: on the contrary, why should one have even 4 kids in a country with low life expectancy, bad road and terrible health couple non functional educational system when I have the financial capacity to take care of dozen.

Our problem is that we copy the white without applying any sense of logic.
In our peculiar environment, please born as many as you can take good care of. If you don't, sure you'll take care of other people or relative responsibility.

My father had 21 lost 2, having 19 left we are all are virtually doing great, supporting each other.
Having experience joy of large family, I can never ask for a thin or slim family.

My father about 2 years acknowledging that he would have been dead 10 years to his time if not for the children he had.

Suleja-Minna road was blocked down for his Janaiza prayer cos crowd and personalities that attended the burial.

I have 4 kids now, attending one of the best schools in town and by His Grace more are coming.

Just 4. Please have 17 more!

Yes, I guess the constitution of Nigeria gives them the latitude to have as much children as they can but the real world will whip them into line when the bills & school fees pile up.

Why not have like 2 & give them your best? I rather look shabby & my children glow than giving birth to kids strangers wouldn’t even want to carry. I have many kids that I am not tempted to carry as it is evident that they are not well taken care of. Dem plenty well well for dis Lagos.

You just reminded me of a child I had to carry in church today. A boy of about 6 months old. He happens to be the fifth child of his parents and looks obviously malnourished.

The dad said the family planning method failed and that the child was determined to come. The other four kids also look malnourished. The man offered me the child to carry and I almost declined. People should please stop bringing innocent children into this world that they know they cannot cater for. Is it so hard to understand?

It depends on your choice. Some are wealthy and likes a full house while some are struggling and would prefer 2 with lot of spacing.

Sometimes it isn't even about the money

The stress is usually when they are still young but believe me when they start working and of age, and they start calling you iya professionals and your children are doing well, you will be fulfilled and happy and forget all the stress.

Either 2 or 6 may God give us the strength to take care of them and reap from our work

I like a full house, so I am going for 3 at least and four at most.

But hubby says 2 tongue

Hubby says 2. Yes o, he foots most of the bills. Some women want more kids because they don't pay the bills.

Car Talk / Re: Can You Drive On Nigerian Roads Without Scratches? by pannyman(m): 10:17am On Dec 19, 2019
ayoshyne:

This infuriates me a lot. Those are the only kind of marks on my car too. Funny enough, those that open the doors to hit your car don't often realize what they've done until u draw their attention to it. And of course Na sorry dem go talk mshew.
However, there are ways to reduce or prevent your car from scratches or bashes.. 1. Leave home extra early to avoid morning rush, leave work 9:30 / 10pm if u work in traffic zones.
2. When in traffic, always stick to the lane by the road dividers, avoid that Lane close to the sidewalks where u have Kekes, bikes and danfos competing and dragging lanes with you. All these have worked for me. My present car is 3yrs old with no bash or visible scratch, only minor ones I had to use brake oil to wipe. In all, patience is key, do no struggle for roads with Danfo, Keke and bike, sometimes u need to act a fool to get away from scratches.

Good tips. Also, when about to pass vehicles parked at the side of the road, blare your horn loudly so they don't suddenly swing onto the road and hit you. Many keke and taxi drivers turn recklessly onto without looking. Also, be careful with the wheelbarrow and cart pushers. In fact, our roads are like a war zone. sad

Very impolite of Bovi

A Nigerian was arrested in the UK sometime ago and he started calling the officer sweetheart, the lady warned him to address her properly.

Nigerians don;t know how to address people.

It is very wrong to call another lady your darling or sweetheart, it could be termed as harassment

I've also noticed that most of our so-called comedians are not really funny in real life. They're just hustlers. Bovi could have used some wit to diffuse it all.

I wonder whether the CBN governor was even thinking when they introduced this tax. People attain high degrees and yet they are unable to impact society positively. They use their exalted status purely for personal aggrandisement.

MetaPhysical:
Gbajabiamila has been in Assembly long enough that his persona alone should have its own command by now, and when he asks for something to be done, it should not take confrontation like this to get done. Politics is game. He just lost his strength when he says he will report them to Buhari. Thats weakness! House of Reps is People's House. He has authority to summon Service Chiefs but it has to be done with diplomacy and tact.

He should not come out and announce he is summoning them, they will disgrace him publicly. Who are you to summon soldier in Africa? Our development is not at that level yet where civilians have power over military like they do in US. It might be on paper in our Constitution but in practice it wont happen.

Next time send delegates ahead to tell them the House is ready to partner and support their honorable duties in the war effort but you don't know how to do it without hearing directly from their own mouth. The full House is therefore inviting them for this honor to get input so their priorities can be scheduled for speedy attainment. Simple!

After getting their nod to honor the invitation. The Speaker can now call media briefing and say "I have the honor to let Nigerians know as we promised you, that this Assembly will partner with government and get work done. I asked and secured agreement from our amiable Defense and Security Chiefs to honor our invitation for a working relationship on security. They have made tremendous sacrifice to our Nation, we acknowledge and are proud of them. We are aware they have challenges and would like to hear from them directly what we can do in our capacity as Legislature to assist in removing those barriers that impede progress. I take this opportunity ro thank our Security Chiefs ahead of this meeting and working relationship to be held soon."

If Speaker did this their head go swell and body go sweet them.

.....even if he call Abacha to rise from grave with such tact sef and he go happen. Abi na lie? grin

Wise man.
