Buhari has been banished from the land for his terrible atrocities over the last two years.

Osibanjo is doing fairly already. Things are changing since Buhari's banishment.

Hmmm!

Osibanjo is doing wonderfully.

Buhari apparently was the problem all along.

As was in 1983, so was 2016.

Buhari must be urged to attend to his health for the next 2 years let Osibanjo fix the mess he created.

Which Buharihuh

Osibanjo is working. He is repairing in one month alll the damage Buhari did in 20 months.

The article is aimed at preventing the populace from noticing the stark difference in leadership style between Buhari and Osibanjo. So that Osibanjo doesn't get too popular at the expense of Buhari.

Buhari is the problem of Nigeria right now and the prayer every Nigerian should pray is that the man remains in London and takes care of his health and pass there and retire in exile. He has been banished from the land for his terrible atrocities.

The results speak otherwise.

For instance, despite the claim of payroll savings of 189 billion, the payroll budget has increased from by over 200 billion Naira between 2015 and 2017 with any corresponding increase in salaries or increase in employment figures

Osinbajo that could not speak up for his murdered Co-evangelist that was brutally hacked to death in broad day light in Abuja?

If that fake pastor can not speak up for Christ and Christians is it the plight of Niger Deltans he will stand up to defend?

We know a gimmick when we see one.
I get your point and it's so terrible that he doesn't seem to have the right kind of courage to stand for his constituents.
All said, he is better off than the terrorist who is hiding away in London as a few things are beginning to look up since he left.
PoliticsRe: Lessons From VP Osibanjo's Visit To The SS And SE. by PapaBrowne(m): 10:42pm On Feb 17, 2017
Osibanjo is doing all the right things and is warming his way fast in the the hearts of the people Buhari has treated as conquered enemies.

His simple actions would be interpreted in the North as threatening to Buhari and depending on the true state of Buhari, he might be cautioned to pipe down.

It's apparent Buhari is the problem of Nigeria. Osibanjo would make far better president. If Osibanjo takes over, the north would start Boko Haram all over again.

And someone tells me it was only groundnut pyramids and cocoa that was used in building Nigeria.

Colonial records clearly indicate that Palm Oil and Rubber, both products of the Niger Delta and East were the top earners for decades.

The nation continues to be dependent on the Niger Delta region 100 years later

Ambode's performance is superlative.
His success would shit his enemies up.
Success does not hide especially when that success impacts you directly.

The lives of everyone living in the Lekki axis has been improved tremendously. Imagine cutting traffic from 3 hrs to less than 20mins with super smart traffic diversion systems.

Five hours of free life daily has been added to those living in the lekki/Ajah axis. That's impact.

Oh yeah sure! Totally concur with the rest.

What makes the apprentice system unique is that it's mutually beneficial and at the same time guarantees continued growth and multiplication of the IBO entrepreneurial success story.
First two things are guaranteed for the business owner when he has an apprentice. 1) Zero labor costs 2) A committed apprentice who would go any length to ensure that nothing spoils his chances of setting up.

For the apprentice, a complete practical learning experience on everything from sales, accounting, logistics, human relations, sourcing et al. Better still, it comes with guaranteed startup capital at the end of the apprentice period. Nothing beats that. Success is nearly guaranteed.

It's more effective than studying Business in a University.

PoliticsRe: Why Is Palm Oil Almost Twice The Price Of Vegetable Oil? by PapaBrowne(m): 6:23pm On Feb 09, 2017
OAUTemitayo:
You really don't know who you are talking about.
I have some 3 hectares of palm oil trees that I manage (family possession not mine).
I intend buying more lands after my graduation.
You people just like throwing accusations around.
I know more on palm oil than you.
The government must not listen to economic saboteurs like you who want to make millions importing everything.
Good to know you have hectares you are inheriting. That's impressive. But just like I said, that is old stock and if they are above 20 years they are probably part of the aging stock with declining production. And like I said, you probably haven't planted a single tree yet so you don't know what it takes to make an investment and wait 6 years to start getting your first returns.

Now you have 3 hectares out of about 3.5 million hectares planted in Nigeria. That means we need another 1 million of you to plant this year alone for us to be able to harvest our 2017 needs in 2024.

Now where will you see 1 million of you who are willing to wait 7 years to begin to reap thier investments?? And if by some miracle we find them, who will give them the land to plant. And if they get the land, wouldn't they just rather plant Cassava that would grant them returns in 1 year?

To meet the kind of demand we have, we need the likes of hundreds of Okomu, Presco and Wilmar to cater for industrial consumption while smallholders can handle the domestic palm oil consumption.

By the way, I'm both a farmer and a manufacturer. The increase in price of oil had terribly affected our manufacturing business to the point of a temporary shutdown but We are tenacious so came up with a solution where now make our own oil which many other companies wouldn't have the luxury of doing. Just to let you know I'm speaking from a place of experience.

Imports with tariffs would not affect local production in any way as long as there is no dumping.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Palm Oil Almost Twice The Price Of Vegetable Oil? by PapaBrowne(m): 5:37pm On Feb 09, 2017
OAUTemitayo:
We can't be importing everything for goodness sake.
Local production will be discouraged with the lifting of ban on importation.
This is the problem. You are being ignorant & unrealistic just like the government we have in power. Even if you plant 1 billion palm trees today, you would not produce a single liter extra of palm oil in the next 4 years. But your population is going to keep adding 5 million new children yearly and you know what: they are going to be needing more indomie noodles and more baby food and more bathing soap.

In 4 years, that's 20 million new people needing palm oil that's already scarce today. Only two things would happen: the price would get incredibly high beyond the reach of the consumer class and those companies would have no choice but to shut down thier factories and move them to Ghana & Ivory Coast from where they would export the finished products to Nigeria.

The sad reality with mindsets like yours is that you would never invest in a single palm tree and tie your money down for 6 years before you start getting returns. But you would keep complaining that we are importing.

I repeat, if there is no strategy that includes imports albeit with high tariffs for the short term, land use reforms, smart support solutions for farmers in the medium term and hardcore research in the long term, then all you'd get is continued increase in prices and eventual collapse of the food, detergent & cosmetic manufacturing sector and ultimately more and more imports of everything .
PoliticsRe: Why Is Palm Oil Almost Twice The Price Of Vegetable Oil? by PapaBrowne(m): 4:47pm On Feb 09, 2017
Simple. Demand and supply.

Our yearly requirement:2 million tonnes
Our Production Capacity: 900,000 tonnes.
That's a shortfall of 1.1 million tonnes.

Palm Oil is a long term crop requiring nearly 7 years to reach full maturity.Any strategy to promote local production would have to be a long term sustainable one. Most of our Palm trees are aging and enough quantities of new stock aren't being planted.

The production shortfall can only be met by imports in the short to medium term.

Any attempt to stifle Palm oil supply is a death kneel to manufacturing. Probably 70% of food, detergent & cosmetic production has palm oil inside. Palm oil use is more industrial than domestic.

The two largest producers of Palm oil in Nigeria, Okomu & Presco have thier supplies paid for in billions till 2018 by the likes of Indomie, Nestle, Unilever. Everything has Palm Oil in it. Everything.

The government should lift the ban on Palm oil imports as we cannot suddenly start producing enough Palm oil no matter what we do in the next 5 years.
PoliticsRe: Why Lagos Needs New Waste Management Policy - Ambode by PapaBrowne(m):
Ambode is the real deal. This guy is an impact governor. Whatever he does he makes sure it produces maximum impact. The kind of things he is doing, by this time next year, you would barely recognize the city.

Waste Management is something that can create wealth as much of what is discarded can be converted into useful products. Plastic & Meral wastes can be recycled while bio wastes can be converted into energy.

I dislike APC, but Ambode is different and that goes to tell us it's not about parties but personality.

While Buhari and his FG tortoises are crawling and blaming the past for thier failings, Ambode is already creating the future for Lagos despite the recession.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Needs $30bn To Execute 30 Capital Projects In Five Years by PapaBrowne(m):
Ambode is the best. This guy should be given all the necessary support and in the next 10 years Lagos would be a world class city.
The guy has proven that Fashola was just a propaganda governor who did more on newspapers than on the streets.

The impact of Ambode is real. Journey from VI to Ajah has been cut from 3hrs to 20mins by the application of a simple smart solution that saw him knock off roundabouts and use a traffic channeling method that's just world class. On third mainland traffic, similar smart solutions and previously chocking traffic that lasted hrs was literally eliminated.
