The Oba of Benin is not a First Class king alongside the others. He is in a class of his own! |
Hmmm! When news begin dey come like this, you know say yaws dey oh! |
Now that Buhari is back, looks like that whole plan would be dead on arrival. Ease of doing business cannot improve with Buhari because his mindset is not just 1983 but it's also terribly anti business almost tending towards socialism. If Buhari would allow Osibanjo continue handling the economy with any influence from him, then maybe there'll be some hope. |
darol4real:Ambode is not in anyway Fashola's son!! |
Naij001:The difference between Fashola and Ambode is that Fashola says, Ambode does!! |
It will shock all those saying all this for 250k. Go market first! E go shock you. Things are expensive |
Economics is about confidence! If people have confidence in a system, they start doing things that automatically impacts positively on the economy. If people lack confidence in a system, they start doing things that automatically impacts negatively on the economy. When Osibanjo took over he took time to build confidence and suddenly inflation started dropping. The simple fact that Buhari is back would make things nosedive. My take is that a country ruled by a sick man would most likely be sick. So yes, hold Buhari responsible when the Naira starts crashing and I can bet you it wouldn't take a week. |
Their master is back. |
Wahala. So all the gains Osibanjo made would just vanish again. The badluck this guy carries dey fear me. |
ozoebuka1:There is no sea in Onitsha so there can't be a seaport there. What you can have is a river port that can have small vessels transferring goods to a seaport. The most central is Onne. It is a maximum 3hrs from all the states in the SuperSouth(SE+SS). Plus there is already on going activity there. |
Wetin be this,N5,000 Sprayer that everybody an afford. I thought I would even see tractors sef! |
In my estate in Lekki I pay average N60,000 monthly and we get 24hrs light. I run 5 air conditioners very regularly and a couple other appliances. I also operate outside of Lagos and have residence in my base of operation. Here I use a private generator. The average consumption on 6 hrs usage is about 15 litres =Average 2200. I also get an average of 8 hrs light daily. In total my power consumption a month for 14 hrs light daily comes up to approximately 90,000 Naira and I can bare run 2 Air conditioners on that. I tell you those guys might actually be better off paying that amount than running their own generators, |
AZeD1:No sir. The term Headquarters has a definition. Head- The bosses as in C-Suite Quarters- base Basically means where the Ogas-at-the-top are based. Everything revolves around the Heads. Financial decision making. Contract disbursement. Top management employment. Etc. I was in Forcados 3 years ago. Shell has its supposed largest operation there. The terminal overseas most of Shell's export running into millions of USD daily. It even has an airport on site. You know what, Shell had barely 20 workers there with the remaining over 500 being contract workers. The bosses visit like once in 3 years kind of thing. While it's OK for companies to make their decisions (I am very much for liberty of private enterprise) I think laws should be made to guide especially extractive organizations towards supporting communities in which they operate. |
I think the poster is a sorry fellow who might hardly get a decent job with the kind of mentality he carries. First, you are offered a daily pay of 2000 Naira but you thought it was a monthly pay. That shows you lack intelligence. Second, you failed to realize that job opportunities are not only about money. They also serve as opportunities to gain lifetime experience. You see, your mindset matters a lot. You don't seem to have anything to offer so you didn't deserve that job. Third, you didn't have to throw insults at someone because you didn't like the job conditions you were given. It simply shows you lacked proper home training. One of the most important components of a good quality person is good character. And good character is mostly built up at a young age. Many employers forget this component and usually focus on academic qualifications and work experience. But I'd say anyday, character (good or bad)will impact a company more than many other qualifications |
They don't have to move their headquarters if they don't want to. The states in question should come up with a tax called Offshore Headquarters Tax. So a simple law is enacted that says if you are an extractive company, you should have your headquarters located at least 200km from your highest concentration of extractive activity. Now if you don't want to comply, it isn't a crime. You just have to pay the Offshore Headquarters Tax which should be minimum 20% of profits from extractive activity. |
Fashola doesn't like the shine Ambode is getting in Lagos. |
I have tire. |
Their plans are enormous. Edo state is poised for greatness |
Hmmm!! |
nickxtra:Obasanjo didn't start the railway. Obasanjo signed a contract for for Lagos-Kano railway. Yar Adua came and cancelled it. The Abuja Kaduna rail was started and finished by the Jonathan government. A totally different funding arrangement was put in place. OBJ had nothing to do with it. Not a single brick was laid by OBJ. Same funny way not a single brick was laid by Buhari but he glowingly tried to take credit for it. Now imagine Osibanjo just started off the construction of Lagos Ibadan Railway yesterday. Then he completes it by 2018 and people start telling us to give Jonathan the credit? Wouldn't that be ridiculous? It is important that credit is given to whom it is due to encourage continuity of projects. |
I wish Osibanjo can build on these Jonathan's legacies and let's see trains cross crossing the length and breadth of Nigeria. I used this train from Abuja to Kaduna and I was beyond impressed at the work that went in there. The trains are top class. But I think it was slow for my liking. It took us 2 hrs to Kaduna. I have entered trains overseas that run 300km per hr and I think any new trains we build should be looking at such speeds. But once again Kudos. Jonathan did a great job there.

Faber:What are his views and how are they same as that of Osinbanjo? |
Aisha Buhari. I like the woman gaan! And I think that kind of nomination would help placate any ill feelings Buhari's base might have. And it would be a plus to women in Nigeria as that would be a first female Vice President for Nigeria. And if all her responsibility as VP would be to push for 100% girl child Education in the North, that would be just perfect as it would drastically change the fortunes of Northern Nigeria. If a woman is educated, all her children would be educated. |
Sad the kind of country we live in. Nobody will be arrested. Nobody will be prosecuted. I hope the powers that be aren't trying to cause problems for Osibanjo. Start an ethnic war and claim he is incapable of managing the crisis. Nigerians must be watchful at this time and avoid any reappraisals as there are many powerful forces unhappy with the rising popularity of Osibanjo. |
MONITZ:Totally agree with you. Delta State is just an unfortunate mess. Okowa is planless!! Another guy to watch: Godwin Obaseki. The things he has done in such a short period plus I watched an interview he granted and the guy is just a pure technocrat with massive plans for the state. I was so impressed after listening to his plans and his strategy for execution. |
MONITZ:Exaclty. And that's why Ambode is making his complaint public. Fashola is probably uncomfortable with Ambode's extraordinary successes! It used to take me 3 hrs to get from VI to Jakande Shoprite. It now takes barely 20 mins. And that happened without Ambode spending so much |
I like your thinking. I did a lot of thinking some time back and came out with ideas of this nature. I would truly love to hear more of your ideas. We are at a stage where the tools for effecting such ideas is right in our hands in this day of social media. More ideas Bro. Ride on. I'll add some later. |
This Ambode guy is just too much. He said if The FG can just allow him do the road, he will start in 2 weeks and finish in 6 months. You would think that Fashola should quickly grant such a request since he was formerly governor of same state. But no, he would rather prevent the state from getting a befitting road just because he has problems with Ambode. Fashola should put pettiness to rest and approve anything Lagos needs. If your successor outperforms you, you should be proud of him not jealous of him |
