you know we cant be putting price here, because the price changes time to time, and you cant be expecting us to be changing price here time to time.
for the price we can update our customer on whatsapp.
If you're serious, it really doesn't take much to do a daily update.
Let me just be real. I need cassava in bulk to process to Cassava flour for a foreign supply. But I'm not going to call a number just because someone says they have Cassava. No info on price, no info on Cassava type. No location info. Just contact details. Naaaah.

No. Anytime you put out info that's incomplete, you leave potential clients with the impression that you are shady. Put out all the necessary information, if potential clients like what they see, they'll call to discuss how to deal.

It's even better for you sef. As you are sure that only those willing to buy would call you.

We were heading there and we were already at number 21 by Purchasing Power Parity in December 2014 before Buhari came to power and messed everything up.

In one year alone, we have lost $80 billion in GDP due to the terrible policies of this government. That is the size of Cameroun's entire GDP.

BusinessRe: Nigeria Proposes Jail Time, Fines As It Tries To Bolster Naira – Bloomberg by PapaBrowne(m): 8:03am On Nov 19, 2016
Truth234:
@Adesiji77 According to a CBN report, about $20 billion is sitting idle in various domiciliary accounts. This is almost $23 billion of the entire foreign reserve of the nation, the problem is, as long as you have such amount sitting idle, the Naira will continue to struggle while the parallel market thrive due to the gap in foreign exchange rates.

So, the CBN is struggling to get an autonomy to effect changes to individual/company holding of dollars, including repatriation. It is all to control activities of saboteurs and further inject liquidity into the market.

Though, there are certain things to be removed from their demands, but this move seems necessary if we really want to curtail the illiquidity issue.
Terrible reasoning. The first victim would be the same naira you are desperately trying to protect.

Imagine I am an exporter who receives cash in Forex but also uses Forex to buy raw materials for my production. Now because of the volatility of the Naira as well as the difficulty in obtaining Forex from the CBN, I domicile my export earnings in USD waiting for the timing for my next purchase of raw materials which is in 3 months time. With this law I can domicile that amount for a maximum of 30 days or lose 10% or go to jail. In a scenario like this, my best option would be to go to another country, maybe Ghana or say Mauritius with no Forex controls, open an account and henceforth receive all my export earnings. That way Nigeria looses all the potential export earnings that would have been coming in.

The second victim is Diaspora remittances. In previous years, Diaspora Nigerians were pushing in over $20 billion yearly. That money was helping Input loads of Forex into our economy and was a major stabilizer of the Naira. With these kinds of control, we would see increased reluctance from the Diaspora in sending remittances back home.

We have a government that lacks basic understanding of rudimentary economics. The destruction this government has caused this country in just 1 year and 6 months is just intense.

AgricultureRe: EU Lifts Ban On Beans Exportation From Nigeria. by PapaBrowne(m):
Pretty good news. I hope those pouring so much pesticides to preserve beans can finally stop the nonsense.

I had an export request for 10 containers of beans but had to turn it down due to the ban.

Truth be told, because of the weak naira, it is increasingly becoming attractive for export$. The problem is we have a government that barely understands that there can be benefits from a weak naira.
Let me just give an example using say a bag of Dangote cement. Let's assume the price of a bag of Dangote cement is N2000. When the exchange rate was 200 Naira to the $, that bag of cement would be equivalent to $10. At the current rate of of N450 to the $, that same bag of cement is less than $5. That means Dangote cement would become attractive in countries Where cement sells at $10. So Dangote can set his export price at $7 and his product would be really attractive despite his making a $2 premium.

This same narrative applies to literally all products whose entire inputs are locally sourced.
The big benefit of this is increased production which would automatically translate to more jobs. The other big benefit is increased Forex which should help stabilize the fluctuating Naira. Take note, I said stabilize, not strengthen.

The problem though is we have a direction less government that has no understanding of even the most basic form Of rudimentary economics.

But the sad reality is we

PoliticsRe: Towards A Political United South, Middlebelt And Minorities In The North by PapaBrowne(m): 7:16am On Nov 16, 2016
Olabestonic001:
First, the word betrayer is being abused daily by many people. The only person that can betray you is someone you have a pact with. The South has never had a pact before. Nay, not even one.
The ill-fated Civil War which many people have been deceived about never saw the South having a pact. The betrayers has always been in the minds of all who use it and I think it unfortunate.
The only time there was a cross-carpeting, it was obvious from the word 'go' that Awo was gonna cross-carpet. His political overture to Zik was roundly ridiculed by Zik; the same way GEJ ridiculed the political 'noise' of the SW during his time. I must say, that GEJ only 'laterly' had a pact with Afenifere and some other groups and that have him more than 40% of the vote in SW. In all honesty, I think the SW is far more reliable with a pact, as seen by GEJ's last minute 'deal' than any of you guys admits.
To the SW, you must reach an 'agreement' rather than just thinking he will just 'tag' along.
A Southern and Middlebelt coalition is feasible.
You tried to addressed the issue of betrayal. Although, I disagree with you, I can let that pass as the issue of betrayal isn't as bad as the issue of hatred. Can you now help us understand the reason for the gross hatred and Jealousy displayed by the SW elite not just towards Jonathan, but towards the people of the SS+SE. It's the hatred we cannot fathom.
And FYI, Jonathan never ignored the SW. Jonathan on numerous occasions reached out both to the Afenifere and the Tinubu group pretty early in his presidency.

I remember Jonathan in 2012 trying to eulogise Abiola by naming UNILAG after him. Boy the vile and contempt that followed was thunderous. He abandoned it instantly.
While a new terminal was being constructed in MMIA and a renovation was being carried out for the first time in decades, SWerners suddenly started getting angry and showing pictures of terrible toilets in the airport. Today, the airport goes dark for hours and there is no hysteria from this same group.

You have a large chunk of SWerners celebrating Buhari killing of unarmed IPOB protesters. You have SWerners urging Buhari to wipe out SS villages that produce oil for the whole country. It's a mindset the SS+SE can never understand. U see, many of us aren't fans of IPOB or NDA but we can see Hatred coming from people we've done nothing wrong towards and we have no choice but to support these groups.

If you want a discussion, help us understand the hatred. I feel it's born out of Jealousy, but if you have a contrary perspective as to the reason for the hatred, then help us understand it.
PoliticsRe: Towards A Political United South, Middlebelt And Minorities In The North by PapaBrowne(m):
Truthfully, while it's desirable, it's hardly workable.

The South West had always been described as betrayers. Our generation, born after the civil war, never understood why the South West was referred thus. We only heard stories but we never had experiences.

But during the Jonathan years, we saw deep hate from the South West ruling class. And the hate was baseless.
We saw hatred for a President who had just tripled the minimum wage. We saw hatred for a minister who was for the first time in our history renovating our airports and building new terminals. We saw hatred for a President who was reconstructing our railways and building new rail lines for the first time since the colonial masters. Even when he started using Julius Berger to construct the most important road in the South West, they ridiculed it. They called him names despite the massive economic growth the country was facing.

And they did all this because of Jealousy and hatred.

And come elections, blinded by hatred, they aligned with with their number one enemies just because they couldn't stand the growth of their neighbors.

You see, we(SS+SE) don't understand how the SW reasons. Barely 20 years ago, Abiola won an election. His election was cancelled. He was jailed and killed. All of this perpetrated by the Core North. Gen Diya was the Vice President. He was humiliated, jailed and sentenced to death. The only South Westerner ever to rule the country, Obasanjo was also jailed and sentenced to death.

And then for petty Jealousy, you align with the same players who perptrthese acts against you.

No we(SS+SE), are not interested in an alliance that is coming because you suddenly find yourself standing alone . Noooo. We can't.

NB
I recognize the fact that a large chunk of SWerners didn't join the charade of the change chanters . Lots of SWerners are excellent minds and great people. My reference is to the change chanters and the zombies that stuck their heads out for the oppression and despondency happening today in the name of change.

Wheat does best in cold weather that's why Russia, Canada & USA top the production chart. Nigeria cannot provide the wheat required for the current kind of bread it produces. What we need is technology that would adapt our local produce to more usable flours.

They say they have released the highest capital expenditures in the nations history yet there is barely works going on anywhere.

At this time in the previous administration,we were seeing the construction of
°Comprehensive airport renovation+brand new terminals
°Nationwide road rehabilitations+ new bridges
°Railway rehabilitations+ brand new railways

So if you have released the highest capital votes in history then we should see much more works than we saw in any other administration. So I'm am waiting for pictures of the world going on. And please not just paintings of works Jonathan had literally finished. Thanks

Hmmmm. This is communism at its finest.
We are in trouble.
Forceful price controls are the beginning of the end of an economy.

I tell you the consequences. An "underground" black market would be created where things would get worse off because the worst kind of scarcity would hit the market as all the Forex would go underground.

Scarcity can never be controlled by force. Never.
Ever wonder why cocaine is as expensive as it is?

Any Nigerian that supported Hilary is either totally ignorant of how she directly or indirectly is responsible for the rise of terrorism in Nigeria.

The destruction of Libya was the handiwork of Hilary & Obama. That destruction led to the proliferation of arms across Africa which in turn empowered Boko Haram.

Now when it was time to buy weapons, they refused us.

There's the gay thing.
There's the support for Buhari.
There's a whole lot other ideological reasons why people of the SuperSouth(SE+SS) would rather support a Trump Presidency.
