IYANGBALI: and parents should not fight for the welfare of their children?you get brain at all?so staying at home will curb the spread of ebola virus? |
Skimpledawg: We can't do tins same way bro! Yu gat ya style! If I wia d President, ah wuld put health facilities in schools n deploy Health workers to sensitize both teachers n kids on d symptoms of Ebola nd hw to tackle it, nd by so doin, am satisfyin Both teachers, kids, parents n Private sch owners!nice write up.... |
Evathyst: See ur life outside? 'Did I said?' also referring to urself wit small letter 'i' U cnt even distinguish btw a suggestion nd an 'assertion'. Na wa o! U come think sey if dem close skul for jst some months our educational sector go crumble? All d days wey u take go skul, so na wetin to show for am nau If u can be committing such egregious blunder? I give up on u!u see what i have been saying?pls get a gud dictionary to know the real meaning of assertion, beside assertion is the proclamation of something often as a result of opinion....pls u even need to resume with those children.... |
IYANGBALI: chisos!no be only chisos na chesus see ur mouth, dis will not stop me from correcting bad suggestion here..... |
IYANGBALI: polytechnics no close for naija for almost a year?abeg make we hear word josharap, don't compare polytechnics with this situation becuase they are fighting for the welfare of the staff but this issue will not curb ebola or cure it..... |
Skimpledawg: Criticize constructively bro!!! Easy on her*no insults plz*.......ah feel ya pain toowhat pain?did i say i am a teacher?am only correcting her baseless assertion |
Evathyst: Lemme now subdue u finally. Some of doz teachers can even be temporarily employed as ad-hoc staff who wil be sensitising d public, doing a house to house search for anyone showing signs of ds disease, and also assisting in isolating anyone who shows signs of ds disease.hahahaha stop spewing trash here,so private teachers should be moving all over the street to sensitize the public on ebola virus?what is the duty of health workers?and the public teachers will sit at the comfort of their home waiting for end of the month to receive alert of their salary they did not work for..... |
Wokeyim: Honestly, I think schools should be left closed till January next year. Ebola is not a joke and if everything has to be tailored around ebola, I don't think we will have much to loose. Schools can be made to run four, instead of three sessions next year. It has happened in Nigeria before, when the Government was to change the school system to the present "6334" system, so why can't same be done now for an issue as serious as ebola? Elections can be tailored to run during the 2-3weeks termly breaks.jeeeez are u for real?they should extend to nine months? That mean you want them to resume by next year may or june?chai nairaland don suffer oooooo |
EldaTimba: I am a fresher in a public university but if money dey, na CU or babcock I go prefer.na so jare....irrespective of your educational qualification your personality and achievement that matters most.... |
hadunihade:ahahahaha i'm looking forward to start a thread on that....... |
beinstein: here lies our problem.lol,u are funny.....lot of peeps here are either kids or jobless graduates struggling in labour market.... |
EldaTimba: Are you for real?http://loadedstuff.com/private-universities-better-than-public-varsities-jonathan/leave that old man who called himself orlando alone,he is living on past glory and outdated information.... |
peppyluv02: Don't mind the kpakos like me beefing rich kids like you but modify your post and correct your typos because that is what they are holding against you. Even thou some of them write with a dictionary close to themhahahahahahaha you are funny oooo so you mean we public univ graduates have oxford dictionary with us to avoid mistakes?na lie joor we are perfect and the best ........... |
peppyluv02: Yea like the babcock guy that hacked his father to deathChesus, are u sure a public university graduate can't speak good and perfect english?i don't believe it because from my own perspective we public university graduates are the best............ |
OrlandoOwoh: I can see the effect of your private university in the way you write. Next time improve in your written English. This is not SMS, where you're charged, and resort to writing in mnemonics to save money.you see your life?what makes you think i finished from a private institution?lol pls update yourself to save you from embarassment........ |
goodygirl1: this is not an issue of the lecturers but the product which is we students...i met diff students during IT days...private uni students hardly cope....anyways don't take it personal...no argument cos u can't change my point of viewpersonal?i am here to catch fun on nairaland simply becuase your opinion on nairaland has nothing to do with the real world.....during my siwes, same way i met lot of public institution students who hardly cope........... |
OrlandoOwoh: Could you prove how the "better" funding private universities get over the public ones has given them an edge? Have you ever heard of a graduate of a private university toping his class in a postgraduate class? How many of their first class graduates won the FG scholarship?toping in postgraduate?stop embarassing youself here a babcock university graduate was the best graduating student at UI in her department.... You even mention FG scholarship?please get updated it seems you are bereft of what you are saying....... |
goodygirl1: This is horrible....we all know the quality of private universities is low compared to a public uni....can u compare a lead city graduate with an OAU graduate....abeggi...ebola no be HIV mate!!!....just passing by tho...lol,sharap 80 percent of OAU lecturers devote 70 percent of their time at lead city compare to OAU...... |
Chesus another private universities vs public institution hmmmm all i can see here are kids who are undergraduates that doesn't know what life is after graduation or jobless graduates that are still strugling in labour market..... |
donpeey22: All of 'em are same.wow, definately you must have visited all the private universities in nigeria? |
NobleG1: A public University stands a better chance of being recognized and respected both at home and abroad than a private one.chesus so countries like norway, canada, austalia, newzealand, norway etc will prefer to give nigeria public universities graduates admission than their private institution?wow thanks for the enlightment, you even made mentioned of public univ cert being recognise in foreign countries that means i can use my futa certificate to work in any comapny all over the world without any additional cert?time to dust my cv scotland here i come....... |
donpeey22: Aside that the social life among students of Nigerian private univerties is poor, most of them rely on part time lecturers from public universities who render only part time services to them. They don't spend money on hiring full time lecturers. Not only lecturers but even other staff. Go to Madonna university you will be shocked to find out that an ssce holder is the secretary of a department, while MOST departments don't have a single PhD holder. That is madonna university, what about babcock?atiku university at yola?are u saying they rely on part-time lecturers? |
SamConquer: Like seriously this Shiit ain't funny anymore.Should I call it inferiority complex or what on the part of this public student.why do some Moderator bring topics that are stupid in its entirety to the frontpage.Look at how the topic generalize all private universities.you are here ranting about exposure and all shitt.what is your business if church owned school decides to put some level of restraint to freedom due to how the society is.now let's talk about My school which is not a church-owned-school,guy if you are looking for that your so called "exposure" come to Igbenidion university and you would be tired of "exposure".I am a proud student of Igbenidion university come rain come shine. You think is to be in overcrowded class, few chairs,no Fans,Lecturers come once in a week thereby becoming half baked is your own definiton of "Exposure"the plain truth about most FEDERAL UNI STUDENT is that they are halfbaked but they hide under the umbrella of this already created Impression of been brilliant I come across some federal uni student, there spoken and even written english makes me vomit.KEEP DECEIVING YOURSELVES.don't try to mould yourself and think cause you are in a federal uni which is not among 2000 in the world after decade of exsistence will do the magic. NB:Money that private uni student pay is not your Fathers Money.chesus this is my first time to see a comment like this,i thought 100% public universities students know how to write and speak good correct english....pls check very well maybe they are from private universities because to me nigeria public universities students are perfect and the best in africa... |
Kasynpaulsyn1997: my first jamb score was 163(2013) i don't rush things so i had to sit down at home and studied harder rather than going to one of the home of dumbness around, scattered all over the country........this year i got 201 and i'm already admitted to study law in ESUT!201 in jamb?and proud to study law?i called it below average from my own perspective....I have seen lot of private universities students that scored 240 and above in jamb but still prefer private institution.... |
donpeey22: Op is right! Private universities in Nigeria are so bleeped up!bleeped up?pls elucidate more? |
oyb: You are missing something. For employers private uni grads are more desirable as entry level staff. They are easier to train, and had access to a more relevant curriculum. I will repeat all my employer (oil and gas major) new entry level hires are private uni grads. You think public uni grads were not part of the recruitment process. Private unis have reduced the available quality entry level jobs to fresh grads from public universities. I am a public uni grad, but I have been working since 2002. Unless public unis step up their game only their very best grads will get good jobs.thats what fashola was trying to do with lasu fees. In the end lasu grads will be the losers only fit for allmanenter jobs like estate agentschesus are you sure?but from the comments here i thought going to public universities will give you an edge in labour market than the private universities graduates...so private universities graduates work in an oil servicing firm?this is surprising........ |

oyb: OP be deceiving yourself there - all I will say is the last entry level recruitment in my organisation was wholly private uni grads. The bastardization of public education means 90% of grads are unemployable. You guys can keep blathering about fun and maturity. There's enough time to have fun and mature in gainful employment.really?but someone posted a comment here that private universities graduates are joblesss? Or am i missing something here? |
Acidosis: There are some parents who wouldn't send their wards to OAU or UI even if their wards score 399 in JAMB. Not everyone love a rough life amidst cultists, uncultured elements, congestion, stress, struggles, reading with candle sticks, queueing for water, harrasment, intimidation, etc.nice observation |
Afghanistan: hey shut up there joor. What's wrong about the OP's comment? I'm sure ur one of those private university students or maybe you graduated from one because its apparent in ur reply. Sentiments apart, public universities are way better than private universities and they have an upper hand in the labour market. Just imagine the total number of first class students a private univeRsity can produce alone in one academic year. They can be up to hundreds and majority of them will struggle to make that same first class in a public university. The OP didn't create this thread for shallow minded people. If you can't reason the truth well, hells gate is opened solely for you. Ur free to go to hell.upper hand in labour market?from your comment i can deduced a sign of frustration and inferiority complex. So u mean their are lot of jobless private university graduates than public ones?go to the street and see how public universities graduates are roaming the street without jobs........ |
TamzyTamudo: I don't think they are cuz jealousy is not in their agenda, they are goal getters, they don't spend time on frivolities, this igbo guys you see causing tribal war here are people who just decided to clear the ekiti and the yoruba people of their misconceptions. Ekiti is not the most educated state and will never be it in nigeria, maybe it will when Yorubas get their country,I think anambra heads the race presently now in nigeria home and abroad.hahahahahaha, like i said ealier from ur comment i can see a sign of empty chest beating and sign of jealousy, where is the statistic that shows that anambra has the highest professor in nigeria?besides can u tell me who owns this platform that u igbos are using as a medium to vent ur anger on the yorubas? |
What i can deduced from this thread is that, the igbo bigots here are just jealous of other tribe success....... |
