Finally, nexus 10 arrived today. Its been an absolute joy, text and multimedia are incredibly crisp, web browsing is faster than ever before. The operating system is much more intelligent now compared to my galaxy tab running ice cream sandwich.haven't left my room since morning... It just keeps you engaged. Google is way ahead of their game here. Curiously, no earpiece in the box. All in all, its basically the same features on ICS, but more refined, polished. Plus, swipe is really kicking my as.s. it's just so convenient typing by swiping.

However, I've been trying to use android beam without much success, any help.

Denn: if this post was written in english, it would have been beneficial to the human race. *no pun intended*
Sadly, it's the internet, the death of spelling and grammar...RIP...So long!
So you cannot see an abuse of office here? When did navy Helicopter become a personal property of the Presidency?

The Presidency have over 7 planes/Jet on his presidential fleets which Nigerians have been shouting against. As if that was not enough, the presidency Hijacked Navy Helicopter for what has been rightly called Kabukabu just to satisfy his aide/friend Oronto Douglas. The presidency as we are getting to know also deployed the same navy to serve as same Kabukabu when his Brother died.

Is this not an impeachable offence? Can Obama or any European leader hijack the country's armed forces equipment for personal (or even state function) except in an even of war or national disaster?

Nigerian leaders have always been inept; but GEJ is representing the deepest of the dept. He is a fool and will always remain so for me.

When the South (mind you I am Igbo) were lying from both sides of our mouth about Zoning; I told people that another Ironsi is coming to Power in GEJ. Just follow the trend and you see another 1966 in the making. It is unfortunate we refuse to learn from history in our nation.

Sorry Nigerians. Until we revert back to our senses; we will continue to perish.
We are saying the same thing bro, but you are still accusing the wrong person. We should find out the naval f..ool who authorised that the aircaft be used to convey people to a funeral, and 'impeach' him. This is not a one-person Government. For all we know,GEJ may or may not have hijacked the Naval aircraft, the other psycophant in the Navy may have volunteered the aircraft in the hope of getting a political favor.
Mind you, i am also a critique of GEJ, but sometimes we just over-do it,blaming him for our collective misery while the real offenders go free.

You guys are funny. Every mishap Nigeria experiences has a way of alluding to Jona, otherwise you won't satiate your hankering for a conspiracy theory. Jona should buy newer aircraft, Jona should maintain them, Jona should convey VIPs wherever there is an occassion in Nigeria (o na-anya taxi?), now Sahara mentions he has ordered 2 new aircraft in the hope he will be condemned. How come a highranking security official did not see the danger in boarding an aircraft that had made 10 trips in one day? How come a Governordepends on the largesse of the President to attend a funeral? Nairalanders as usual barking up the wrong tree, and making trouble for the wrong person.

Politics › Re: Jonathan Will Lose 2015 Election — Asari Dokubo by passion007: 9:26am On Dec 15, 2012
All i see while reading through these comments is that We are not ready to do away with Godfatherism. Asari's sole indignation is that GEJ is losing/has lost OBJs support and that the SS might end up leading for only 4 years. To me, that is selfishnes and stupidity. Over 100 million enfranchised Nigerians will be at the polls, but at the end of the day, its the political godfather who determines what happens. Now, GEJ wants to break thst trend, yet the greater proportion of 100 million voters are not even going to support his ideals. The first question we should ask ourselves is "what do we really want?"

taharqa: @ypzilanti, u hv tried hard to push yr silly calculatns on d 161bn new subsidy request since yterday, and in yr passion for a hacket job u hv completely refusd to use yr head. That long article from d equali silly writer rest ENTIRELY on dis premise: the 161bn wud be usd to pay for d remaining 3wks of d yr. That claim shows d ignorance of d writer who to be fair to him already confessd he is bad in maths.. The #161bn was requestd by d President so as to augment whateva was left of d #886bn budgetd sum SO THAT THOSE MARKETERS WHO THE GOVT HAVE WITHHELD THEIR PAYMENTS COS OF THE VERIFICATIONS and whose claims hv bn found by d latest Audit report to be legitimate (ie those not among d #239bn d International audit firm found culpable) can be paid b4 d end of d yr so that they can start importing fuel so d nation can hv sufficient fuel for the yuletide, in oda words dis sum and d balance from d budgetd sum is d amount needed to pay those marketers afta d verificatn- this was essentiali d crust of d Letter d President sent to d Senate and House of Reps. It didnt say money was meant to be usd to import fuel needed dese last 3wks...... Una nova tire to dey spread PROPAGANDA and LIES (already sm of eediots are already passing round materials 'showing' that dis same 161bn was requestd by d president to pay NOI mother's kidnappers #1bn ransom! even when d request hv bn made to d NA b4 d kidnap. Na play na play, soon sm gullible peep wud use dis to debate me here on NL and definately anoda PROPAGANDIST writer wud do an article 'explaining' it cos he/she knows there are a huge chunk of gullible ppl in 9ja tday)....*smh*
i saw that basic oversight too. Our mathematician was more interested in bringing up a sensational newspiece, same with the guys drawing up links between NOIs mum's kidnap and GEJ's request.
Personally, i supported the subsidy protests back in January, but over the ensuing months, i have had time to reflect and see we are shooting ourselves in the foot by retaining subsidy. Subsidy payments have now risen to 1 trillion. Just for comparison, key sectors such as education got 400billion, roads got 100 billion and so on.1 trillion spent on servicing consumption of just one product per year? OMG!!!
Removal of subsidy will free up money for other projects, projects that will better our living standards, in addition will also clean up, to a large extent, the corruption in the petroleum sector.
In my opinion, GEJ is running the most transparent govt so far, despite being largely misunderstood. He has shown a committment to right the wrong of past governments. I'm not a mindless praise-singer as i also believe thee is so much more he could do, but the consolation is that his govenment has shown the political commitment to get it done.

Politics › Re: Jonathan’s N161.6bn Subsidy Budget Splits Reps by passion007: 7:53am On Dec 14, 2012
Truly, fuel subsidy is not sustenable. I had a rethink after reading this article. Btw, aren't we already buying petrol to the north of N120/L (barring a few excepting states), so removing subsidy should not cause much of a rumpus now. Plus, this will free up money for people-centric projects. Remove the subsidy on petrol, cut down government spending on governance (as Sanusi suggested), what are the other economic reforms suggested by NOI, it's time we try all of these experimental solutions, because obviously progress can only come that way. Or we could pretend we do not want a solution, or insist that government meets us halfway (like the partial subsidy removal) and then continue or even hasten our inevitable collapse as a nation. God bless Nigeria!
