For all humankind, history is divided into time and eternity, our state in eternity will determine what we do with our time. We refer to time as "here," and eternity as "hereafter," the separation point is death. The individual life until death is his time, after death it is eternity; time is brief at best, eternity is endless. Time is for sowing, eternity is for reaping. This all adds tremendous seriousness to our lives as Christians- to our intercession and evangelism, Christians who live and think primarily of today are fools, eternal fools. Throughout eternity they will never cease to regret that they made such little use of their time in sowing for Christ and His kingdom. Any Christian may be the only one who will ever pray for some people or witness to them, he may be their main hope to Heaven. Eternity is much more that decision for Heaven or Hell. For those in Heaven there will be great differences in glory Daniel 12:3, and reward 1 Corinthians 3:8-15; Revelation 22:12. There will probably be eternal difference in closeness of fellowship with Jesus. While Jesus walked on earth all 5,000 who were fed by Him listened to His voice and had fellowship with Him. But the fellowship of the twelve was much closer to Him, and fellowship of Peter, James, and John was closest of all. Christ is no respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of our response to His love, His commands, and the work He assigned us. Not all Christs disciples were chosen to see Him and fellowship with Him after His ressurection Acts 10:41. Undoubtedly we are determining by our obedience today the degree of fellowship with Christ we will share in Heaven, which will be Jesus' headquaters and home, but in what forms that fellowship will consist, how frequently each will have such intimate previleges, and the role each will have in reigning with Jesus and serving Him will be decided at the judgment before Christ's throne. That will be based on how faithfully each is praying and living for Christ today. Heaven will not be the same for all, Jesus made that clear again and again in His teachings. If you perceive that God's powerful spirit is strongly burdening you for prayer, guiding you in prayer, and adding His might and authority to your praying, you know His power is clothing you, even if you do not see His mighty outworking of His answers to your prayer. At times Satan seems able to cast a shadow of darkness over you as you pray and try to minister for God. He seems able to block all awareness on your part for a time of God's presence and power. Is that your experience today? Don't be afraid of these faith moment. Hold steady and pray; labor on in total dependence on God's power even when you can't see or feel it at work. As certainly as you have sensed God's presence and power in the past, just so certainly you will sense it again. You are in the midst of conflict with the power of darkness, your experience is not unique. God's choicest saints have at times had days, weeks, and even months of such darkness, but God's answer always comes again. Don't try to get off the train while you are going through the tunnel, you are still enroute to God's great victory. Hold on and God power will be revealed again. olassy239:What I know is what the bible says concerning the subject. Though the bible was silent about the subject matter, bt it reveals enough enough to make us no that there is no incarnation. Anyways, not as we have come to understand incarnation, we still continue to live after death, or better put, when we leave this physical realm. The bible says it is appointed unto man to die once n after this judgment Hebrews 9:27. This means that if man is to die once, then he is to live once. I think the reason for the belief in incarnation is as a result of man knowing fully well that there is more to the physical (which is true), but not understanding the spiritual which is the more. This is the spiritual realm which is higher than the physical realm, it is the realm of the spirit (God, angels, devil, demons). Though we know little about it bt we know enough that we can attain it through death, n hint of some other means that the op suggests. NB No one on this side of eternity has perfect knowledge of the spiritual, so lets stick to what the scriptures (bible) reveals and develop a relationship with the father as the spirit reveals more to us as me mature spiritually. The best way to seek understanding into the spiritual is through a relationship with Christ Jesus, anything aside from Him is spiritual suicide cos we know the devil too has the capability and we are not ignorant of his schemes. ooman:What u call education is what u have been made to believe in faith, what if for example u have been taught from youth that there is no number 5 u would never had had problems with it cos thats what all believe in. Science/proves/learning/education is only buit up on other peoples ideas n ones u cant quote someone famous in order to buttress ur own idea than u will never be taken serious. NB All these theories n ur beliefs are only taking out meaning out of existence n are good for nothing else, or do u really think life has no meaning? |

Many people think that as long as their motive is pure, they would be spared from being deceived. Little do they know that the people who are most easily deceived in the world are those who have pure motive. Honesty is not the condition for not being deceived; knowledge is the condition. If a believer is not concerned with the teachings of the bible and does not watch and pray, and if he thinks a pure motive alone will enable him to not be deceived, he will definitely be deceived. If he is deceived and fulfils the condition for evil spirit to work, how can he expect God to protect him? It seems a couple of prowlers broke into a department store in a large city. They succesfully entered the store, stayed long enough to do what they came to do, and escaped unnoticed. What is unusual about the story is what these fellows did. They took nothing, absolutely nothing, no merchandize was stolen, no items were removed, but what they did was ridiculous. Instead of stealing anything they changed the cost of everything, price tags were swapped, values were exchanged. These clever pranksters took the tag off a $395.00 camera and stuck it on a $5.00 box of stationery. The $5.95 on a paperback book was removed and placed on an outboard motor, they repriced everything in the store. Crazy? You bet, but the craziest part of the story took place the next morning. The store opened as usual, employee went to work, customers began to shop, the placed function as normal for four hours before anyone noticed what had happened. Four hours! Some people got great bergains, other got fleeced, for four solid hours no one noticed that all the values had been swapped. Hard to believe! Its shouldn't be-we see the same thing happening every day. We are deluged by a distorted value system, we see the most valueable things in our lives peddled for pennies, and we see the most cheapest smut go for millions. The examples are abundant and besetting, here are a few: The sales man who defended his illegal pratices by saying, "Let's not confuse business with ethics." The father who confessed to the murder of his twelve year old daughter. The reason he killed her? She refused to go to bed with him. The politicians who stole billions meant for the nation thereby impoverishing it, also causing chaos in some regions in order to be able to continue stealing. Why do we do what we do? Why do we take blantant black and white and paint it grey? Why are priceless mores trashed while senseless standards are obeyed? What causes us to elevate the body and degrade the souls? What causes us to pamper the skin why we degrade the heart? Our values are messed up, someone broke into the store and exchanged all the price tags. Thrills are going for top dollar and the value of human soul is at an all time low. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life [ in the eternal kingdom of God]? For what can a man give as an exchange ( a compensation, a ransom, in return) for his [blessed] life [ in the eternal kingdom of God]? One day a man saw a old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. I t was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, “I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.” Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt. As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid. Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, “And think of me.” He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan . After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: “You don’t owe me an anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.” Under the napkin were four more $100 bills. Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard…. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, “Everything’s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.” There is an old saying “What goes a round comes around.” Do not let this chain of love end with you, Let this light shine. Long ago in a small, far away village, there wasplace known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. As mall, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will comeback and visit it often. "In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again. "All the faces in the world are mirrors. tundysho:The spirit isnt inanimate and it is more real than the flesh, so I think this is where u get it wrong that u can no longer function in the spiritual realm. Who u really are is the spirit n not just the flesh, its the spirit that gives life to ur flesh making u alive. So after death in the flesh ur real man continues to live and its capable of experience all u experienced while in the flesh. |
