ifewunmy: Hmm, ok as the scriptures makes us realize no sins is too big for God to forgive. But consider this scripture to ur answer, 'the Son of man goes as it is written, but woe unto him that betray Him for it would have been better if he was never born'( loose translation) |

Religion / Re: Renouncing My Christian Faith by PastorOluT(m): 4:15pm On Dec 18, 2015 |
Millerz: Have so many things to say to u but dont know where to start from. First and foremost, stay clear athiest threads cos u aint strong enough and their confusions seem to be getting to u. Also get to know God urself cos from ur post I see u really need that, fasting, prayers n all that are good n necessary 4 spiritual exercise bt u have to know the reason u do it. Many get it wrong by praying n fasting to get things from God n when they do not get what they want they get frustrated n quit many at times. We fast n pray for spiritual nourishment n growth not cos we want something for u can get whatsoever even without fasting. Another mistake we mk is that we think God is obligated to us, tho He is but not as we always think. Belonging to Him doesnt mean ur life will be free of trials, in fact the closer u get to Him the more the trials for the devil's hatred of u increases. Though we have promises in Him in this world n the one to come, we need to really understand ow He works in us and this can only come as we move closer to Him.. We should understand that we only see a fraction of the big picture while He sees the full n thus make decisions in that regard. So if what u going thru right now isnt palatable, this is the best time u move closer to Him and trust Him more cos His word holds promises for u both in this world and the one to come. Have u ever consider the scripture, "count it all joy when you fall into varous trial James 1:2?" I tell u the mind cant wrap itself around that save the spirit. So my bro what I suggest is move closer to Him n take ur mind off the stage u going thru now cos life is in stages, n see Him turning things around as He turns ur story to glory. Do not be weary in well doing for in due season you shalll reap if u faint not Galatian 6:9 Stay blessed and remain rapturable 25 Likes 2 Shares |
Religion / Would Judas Had Been Forgiven If He Asked Forgiveness? by PastorOluT(m): 3:50pm On Dec 18, 2015 |
Reading a book by Max Lucado-No wonder they call Him the Savior, getting to chapter 16 The Hill of regret which talks about the betrayal of Judas and how he eventually hanged himself in regret. This provoked a thought in me that, if Judas had rather come back like the others and asked forgiveness would he had been forgiven? Now before I say my thoughts on what I think the bible teaches on forgiveness, would love to hear ur views guys. |

Religion / Repent For The Kingdom Of God Is At Hand by PastorOluT(m): 1:33pm On Dec 18, 2015 |
"Jesus is coming back soon" is now a cliche` to so many even in the Christendom, well I have no new thing to say than repeat this same message to you, "Jesus' coming back is iminent, take it or leave it to your own peril". The message has not changed right from the time a voice of one crying in the wilderness, "prepare ye the way of the Lord". Jesus came on board and continues, "repent for the kingdom of God is at hand", well for three years plus He did this morning and night to the point of provoking the simpleton to killing Him, which anyways was part of the plan. Now just as John's preaching made diehards followers even in the wildernes, the Lord ministry made more. After the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ, these new set of die hards went about turning the world upside down with their message. Now one will wonder the message they preach, but wonder no further cos what turned the world upside down was still that same message, "repent for the kingdom of God is at hand", Then radical Paul joined the wagon and took the message beyond the spheres of the jews to the uttermsost part of the world even to the point he gained a reputation that all who see him want him dead. Now one would think Paul would refine the messagee being so learned, but what exactly was his message. "And as he reasoned on righteousness, temperance and judgment to come, Felix trembled and answered, Go thy way for this time, when I have convinient saeson I will send for thee" Act 24:25. This is the same message we preach today yeilding the same result, saving some and provoking others. But know for sure that the final consumation of all things is at hand and Jesus will burst through the sky any moment from now and we shall rise to meet Him in the air. His coming is imminent and our flight is at hand. "Repent for the kingdom of GOD is at hand". And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed. Religion / Can We Actually Rejoice In Trials? by PastorOluT(m): 12:30pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; James 1:2 I have always wondered the possibility of this verse to be almost impossible till i I started experiencing it. There are some truths in the scriptures you can never understand till you experience it, and I tell you this is one of them. You can actually rejoice in trials and even look forward to it as a result of knowing and joy which well up within you from the spirit. This kind of joy is not as a result of what is happening around you, but what is happening within. This kind of joy cant be explained which give reason why this scripture most of the time seem difficult to comprehend. Rejoice brethren, I say again rejoice for the sufffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall later be revealed in us. tempest69: This is very wrong, though didnt read all u posted, read the beginning n jumped to d conclusion u made. We were all having d nature of sin bt when we gave our lives to Christ we received a new nature with sufficient grace to grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. We as xtians now can live above any elemental forces, sin inclusive as we live overcoming lives in Christ Jesus. NB If u aint overcoming in Christ even above sin then something is wrong. |

Religion / Can Man Really Help God? by PastorOluT(m): 9:24am On Nov 13, 2015 |
CAN MAN ACTUALLY HELP GOD? And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother. And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. Genesis 28:1-4 When we consider the new blessings Isaac pronounced on Jacob we find it very interesting because he had formally blessed him as a result of the scheme of mother and son, and of a truth this was quite different from that. The former blessing was fought for, brought enmity in the family and almost led to bloodshed, and the pronouncement obviously showed that was not the original blessing in the family (that is the covenant blessing God made with Abraham). And I will want to think Isaac himself wasn’t aware of that when he was blessing Jacob initially. Left to him he would have wanted to transfer the blessing to Esau which was the reason for the turn of events, but God being the omniscient (all knowing) brought about events which perfectly coincides with His will without the help or thought of anyone. Isaac finally blessed Jacob with the blessings of Abraham when he was about to send him forth to the people of his mother, Isaac was already old and about to die, if he had died earlier on he would not have provoked the blessing in the life of his sons because the initial blessing wasn’t the right blessing. So as he grew old he got to understand better and the inspiration of the Lord came upon him and he eventually pronounced the right blessing in the life of Jacob. I will also want to believe if Rebekah and Jacob were aware of this they would not have gone on with all the stress of scheming; this clearly shows that God needs no help and was never a party to the scheme employed by mother and son. If we really think about the dealings of God with man right from the onset, then we will see clearly that there is no need for the schemes we employ many at times trying to help God with our far limited abilities. We forget that God always see the whole picture and function as such, while we only always see a fraction of the whole, so no matter what we employed without total dependency on God we are bound to fail and often find ourselves fighting against Him and His will for our lives as the case may be. Even when we are certain of His will for our lives, we still fall short many at times with whatever thing we might be doing in the flesh to speed up the fulfilment of His will in our lives. Of a truth when we mature and have come to the measure of the fullness of Christ in God, we will do less and depend more on Him to do in our lives that which we can’t do ourselves because we would have come to understand that He knows best and everything is working together for our good even when events ‘seems’ to be against His will in our lives. The understanding that everything will fall just right because He is in charge should never be compromised even when things don’t look it in the physical, but when we do things to further His will we are actually working against it, and moreover things gets more complicated in our lives just as it does in the lives of Jacob. So in the case of the covenant family, things eventually worked according to God’s perfect will despite the human abilities (Esau), the scheming (Mother and son), and the nonchalant attitude (Isaac), of a truth total dependency on God is the only way for the actualization of His purpose for our lives. No one has the spiritual right to intervene, pray, preach, rebuke or encourage anyone if he or she is not willing to pay the sacrifice for the said individual. There are price and sacrifice to be made in order to intervene for the lost for Heaven to take note, Heaven do not just respond because there is a need or one is perishing, it only respond to the sacrifice undertaken on behalf of the lost souls . Though one could be diligent and faithful in discharging his religious duties in the bringing of the lost back to the kingdom, liking evangelism itself, sharing of tracts, inviting the lost to church, praying and all, nothing tangible will be achieved which only is tantamount to being religious. We should be willing to go the extra mile to see others saved and come to the knowledge of the saving grace and not just our normal casual attitude to the lost which is the reason many at times we do not see changes we expect. Jesus wept and prayed for those to whom He preached. He wept over Jerusalem, when they would not receive the Word of God. He had wept for the hypocrites in the temple, before going in to use the whip to drive them out (Luke.19:41,45). Only he who weeps is qualified to use the whip. Jesus lived so utterly for God and for others that, even when dying, He found time to lead a thief to salvation. Hanging there on the cross, He was unmindful of His own sufferings and of the jeering and hatred of others, and was more concerned that those who crucified Him should have their sin forgiven (Luke. 23:34). Another thing we should consider is the face Jesus always overcame evil with good no matter what. The floods of the hatred of others could not quench the flaming fire of His love (Song of Solomon 8:7). This is the love that He gives us by His Spirit whereby we can love one another even as He loved us (John. 13:34,35; Romans. 5:5). Thus we too shall manifest the divine nature. Religion / Conviction And Accusation by PastorOluT(m): 8:13am On Oct 26, 2015 |
CONVICTION AND ACCUSATION We must be careful to distinguish between the accusations of the devil in our conscience and the true conviction of sin. It is true that the devil can and does condemn us. When we respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit this brings us liberty, but listening to the voice of the accuser only brings us into bondage. We must learn to discern the voice of God in our conscience and refuse that of the enemy. True repentance helps us here. When we have genuinely been convicted and repented before God, then we have the armor necessary to withstand such accusations. Authentic, complete repentance not only makes us right with God, but it also gives us the ground to resist further attacks from the devil. When we have the confidence from God Himself that we are forgiven, then the enemy has very little to say. However, too often, the conviction of the Holy Spirit is labeled by well-meaning Christians as “accusations” or “lies of the enemy.” We must be very careful not to refuse the conviction of the Spirit, labeling His work as “the devil.” Truthfully, the great problem in the church today is not too much false accusation, but far too little true conviction and repentance. The truths which we have been investigating here in this writing apply to believers as well as to unbelievers. The steps which are necessary to receive forgiveness are also for Christians. There are many church members today who, although at one time were born again, are not thoroughly convicted of sin, not completely repentant and therefore not totally forgiven. Many of God’s children are walking in sin and therefore are not, I repeat, NOT being forgiven by God. Stay blessed and remain rapturable 2 Likes 2 Shares |
