agaugust: 90 % of SANDF Olifant tanks today are the old cargo plain metal ancient RHA armour, only about 10 % of your Olifants got modern armour upgrade. Today, Nigeria will defeat South Africa in a tank vs tank battle.
One Boko Haram RPG with HEAT warhead will tear 200 units of SANDF Olifant tanks into pieces
SANDF armour is now obsolete.....world war II relics . We have 68 in service all have been upgraded to at least the MK1B standard. You have less than 12 T-72s We are going to replace the Olifant.... your brand new tank is allready obsolete |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 4:01am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: Your main Tank force is made up of, over 176 Tanks built in world war 2. 44 up-graded tanks do not change this fact.
South-Africa's MBT! That is a centurion. That is not an Olifant Mk1A/B or Mk2 So no, that is not our mbt. And fyi we have 68 in service all have been upgraded to at least the MK1B standard. Reserve MBT's are in varying states of upgrade |

Henry120: This is South-Africa's MBT. You have over 176 of them in service. Thats a Centurion. That is not an Olifant Mk1A/B or Mk2 So no, that is not our tank. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:58am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: 44 Tanks do not make an MBT. I dont think you know what the term "main battle tank" means |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:57am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: You full, 26 Tanks do not make a "main battle tank", you fool.
Your MBT is a world war 2 centurion relic. You have 176 of them. Over 56 of them with more advanced equipment and systems than your T-72 You have less than 12 T-72's in service |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:56am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: Congrats you have 26 MK2's and 174 world war 2 relics in service.
Congrats, you did it.
This actually is your MBT. 38 Mk1A/B 26 Mk2 131 composed of Mk1/Mk1A/B in storage The Mk1 is completely different from the Centurion And, FYI, Isrealy Centurions did just fine against Egyptian T-72s in the 6 Day war |

Henry120: I agree.
Look, it's also comes in black and white!
Wow!! Are you saying that the Olifant Mk2 is the same as a centurion tank? You are saying that there is absolutely no difference? Answer yes or no |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:49am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: Your MBT is a world war 2 junk. That's a fact. Only the hull is from WW2 - and even that has new composit armor on it. New engine, new turret, new communications equiment, new battlefeld-management systems, new suspension, new armor, new FCS, new sighting systems etc etc etc Fact is, in some areas it is more advanced than your brand new T-72's. |

So their exploit is that they have been at war for 10 years and the only thing they have done in this 10 year war is kill the same man 3 times?
i know you are bored, patchesagain. so i am going to leave you with an interesting read from a fellow safa who wrote this facts and truth in his own blog in 2015. suprisingly every single thing i have said over the past year was comfirmed by him. enjoy:
you have it in black and white.
The South African military requires "skilled" people to join the military. They are also relaxing the quota system to encourage more Whites to join.
Of course they can't put "skilled" and "White" in the same sentence. That would be admitting that they need Whites for their intelligence and they can't have that. No, they just need skilled people and if they happen to be White then they're in with a chance.
It seems that the military doesn't have enough people with functioning brains to operate all the equipment bought during the Arms Scam Deal. The equipment is now lying around rotting away because the IQ67's don't know how to operate any of it.
Or it's broken because the IQ67's tried operating it...... like the 3 submarines.
The air force has grounded fighter jets because they don't have enough pilots.
SA National Defence Union national secretary Pikkie Greeff said the military found itself in a position because "when they started awarding exit packages they let go too many of the racial groupings that they now want to increase".
In other words, they let go the capable, battle-hardened White military personnel to replace them with that marvellous and highly respected army, Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK).
Yes sirree. Here was the second best military in the world and it was handed over to a bunch of liberation fighters who couldn't fight their way out of a clear plastic bag - even with directions. The ANC rushed to replace all the generals and other White officers with their equivalent officers from MK. (cough-BS-cough)
The result has been oh, so predictable. The military is now a joke. Another crumbling state-run entity, which are now reduced to begging White boys to come back and save them.
Yeah, what a dream. Join the military and have IQ67 officers ruling over you. Being outnumbered and sleeping in the barracks with the other IQ67's. Yeah, sounds like paradise.
No, let the SA military recruit some of the millions of IQ67's sitting in their shacks watching the rubbish rot. Let them go die for their country for a change. Let them experience what the White boys and men had to endure, protecting the country as they did.
They have done their time and now It's time for the Blacks to go do the same.
Off you go. You are posting a racist opinion peice with the intention of doing what? FYI - submarine batteries were damaged by a civilian contractor, not a member of SAN |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:46am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: We Trained your Airforce chiefs.
Your current deputy Air-chief is a Nigerian trained pilot. You trained one man how to fly. You did not train him how to fly jets or any other relevant information relating to airforce operations. |

Henry120: It only further proves the SANDF has the oldest infantry in the world.
Fact I have always quoted.
Thanks for proving me right. Gramps! Look at their ranks. Those are all senior NCO's and Officers. Not infantry. Thanks for proving that you are incapable of reading rank on a soldiers uniform. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:44am On Apr 29, 2015 |
Henry120: This is South-Africa's main battle tank. A world war 2 Relic.
A museum piece, nothing to brag about.
Churchill was the Prime-minister when your Tank was built. Thats not a frontline example of the Olifant, that is a vehical from a reserve formation. Olifant Mk2 is a match for your T-72 Your T-72 has a bigger gun, but that is all. |

Henry120: Shekau is a num de guerre. Anybody can bear Shekau. The guy killed in konduga's name was given, he was Bashir mohammed. Bashir mohammed had been posturing as Shekau in terrorist videos.
Shekau 1 was shot and severely wounded in Gwoza, he was taken to cameroun for treatment in a hospital, we're it is believed he died of his wound.
Shekau 1, a pasted a video of Shekau 1 on his death bed many times in this forum. "Its true because I say so" Face it, your SOF/SF have no notable operations in over 10 years of war. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 5:22pm On Apr 28, 2015 |
agaugust: Those are NA elite forces, unless a dullard like you think those are regular troops. The 72 strike force uses AK-47, Nigerian SF standard is Travor, and their training is overseas after NDA....PMC do not train Nigerian elite troops. 120 men in the 72 strike force are just a new unit for mobile duty, that does not make them the real elite.....our real Elite are the SF.....they killed Shekau I inside his camp....72 Strike force was not even born then, those guys have only 3 months experience after PMC training.....NA commando elites have been fighting war for over 10 years consistently.....that's the real elite.
You know nothing about what makes an elite force, you think PMC training is the qualification....Olodo . I said tell me of their exploits. Tavors, silly head scarves and all the tactical clothing (and posing for pictures in said clothing) dont make operators. So what have they done? You have killed Shekau 3 times now... so we all know how reliable that info is. |

agaugust: If I have to teach you South Africans the technical details of your own Gripen jet, then you have bowed to me as a Nigerian military researcher.
Now save yourself that humiliation from me, quickly post the ground search radar range of Gripen jet, please let me not lecture South Africans about their own air force on Nairaland, the Southie who made that Gripen error that I corrected is an SAAF officer on this forum....please save yourselves from the hands of Nigerians, let me not take your air force officers job, it will lead to more xenophobia.... . Still waiting for your "lesson on the Gripen" |

agaugust: "Chief of the SANDF, General S. Shoke
General Solly Zacharia Shoke was born in Alexandra Township, in Johannesburg on 15 August 1956. General Shoke left the country in1976 after the uprisings and joined the military wing of the African National Congress - Umkhonto we Sizwe. He received his basic military training in Angola and further training in the then Soviet Union.
After he received his basic military training in Angola and serving in various capacities in the African National Congress’ military wing, uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) both inside and outside the country he rose through ranks to become the commander of the then Transvaal Machinery.
He was later selected to become part of the underground Collective Leadership (Operation Vula). He operated internally until the unbanning of the liberation movements. After the unbanning of the African National Congress he became part of the National Organising Department of the ANC whose mission was to organise the ANC Structures in the country. General Shoke was also part of the committees that facilitated the peaceful transition to democracy in South African including the armed forces.
In preparation for the integration of the armed forces he went to Zimbabwe to do an Intermediate Staff Course. After the ushering in of the new democratic era Lt Gen Shoke did his Senior Command and Staff Duties Course in South Africa. He later did the Joint Staff Course; the highest military qualification in South Africa. He also holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management and a certificate in defence management."
http://www.dod.mil.za/csandf/chief.htm
South African army chief of staff entered SANDF service with final training in Zimbabwe, first training was in Angola.
"The Nigerian Army Command and Staff College Jaji also attracted officers from other African states. Students from Benin, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe regularly attended, and the first Botswanan officers attended the 1986-87 course."
Nigerian army trained Zimbabwe to train South Africa's most senior army chief, Nigeria trains SANDF, we own you o !
. Low you own us through the most obscure and indirect way possible... Problem is: WE DIRECTLY OWN YOU BECAUSE A SOUTH AFRICAN DIRECTLY TRAINED YOUR MOST ELITE UNIT |

. Just one old white man won the war for Nigeria. We have thousands. So sorry for you And FYI, those men arent Infantry, they are Senior Leadership and Senior NCO's... look at their epithets on their uniforms (or does Mr military researcher not know how to read rank?) . their value is the knowledge of Warfare that they push on through training. |
