africaken254: i dont think there is any particular reason for this meeting, just Trump trying to show he will maintain a close interest on issues concerning Africa.this is the wrong president to talk with issues concerning Libya(just shows how his administration is confused)
The Trump administration knows exactly what they are doing
There is a saying, "Trump plays 4th Dimensional Chess"
If you have followed the campaign closely, you would know that Trump and Bannon are master stratergists... Always a step ahead of everyone.
africaken254: president Bashir raising a Terab assault rifle with a Rifle Scope manufactured in sudan, both clone of Iranian DIO Sayyad-5.56, & Norinco Type CQ 5.56mm also a AR-15 rifle variant
Mounting the scope on the carry handle... Without a cheek weld...
Are Sudanese soldiers giraffes?
Also, building an AR in 2016 without rails... And with a 20 inch barrel... And carry handle... and direct impingement instead of gas-piston... Silly silly Bashir
africaken254: Off topic :ISIS just released propaganda video burning to death two Turkish soldiers captured, like they did to that Jordanian pilot .erdogan need to wake up,this are demons
Break out the white phosphorus, mustard gas and cluster munitions.
If your opponent refuses to fight in a civilised manner, then you must discard your civility.
Henry240: Not am excuse. Special forces are built specifically to fight unconventional battles. This is what Syria is, they got the air power, they regularly sling cruise missiles from 2000km away, they got highly trained commandos, they got thousands of other allied local soldiers, they all carry ATGMs, yet they still aren't making any progress .
This is what Syria is, a giant cluster fvck were none of the big powers have done anything.
If the commandos can't fight the unconventional warfare , what then can they actually do?
What makes them Special?
It's not an unconventional war.
The basis of your argument is incorrect.
With regards to the big powers, FSA, Kurds and Iraqis are all advancing
Hrmnn: Yesterday Beegeagle's Blog Twitter account posted the following photo of NAF Panhard vehicles (AML-60s and VBLs) in a staging point. There are ERC 90s in the background, too.
The photo was posted with the comment:
"Largest assemblage of Panhard AMLs of the NA which I have seen for 25+ years. Gladdens the heart. Where are the Panhard AML 90s?
I have not spotted ONE unit of legacy hardware system (Panhard AML 90) throughout the duration of this war. Ditto the ENGESA EE9 Cascavel"
It's an interesting point. I remember seeing news photos of NAF AML-90s in action during the ECOWAS involvement with Sierra Leone but that's been a while. I've never once seen an NAF Cascavel. Perhaps they've been in storage or are simply unserviceable.
Judging by the new paint and large numbers it would seem someone dragged them out of storage and reactivated them
Something I said should be done ages ago!
Enemy using technicals? Then whip out the OG technical!!
Panhard is one of the kings of the African battle-space
Henry240: Turkey is way more insecure than many Sub-Saharan states. If they had colonialists occupying and exploiting them for 200 years like the rest of Africa, they'd had been in a far worse state.
They did.
Turkey isn't an ethnic monolith
Look up "The Young Turks" (not the YouTube channel)
In general, i find it quite funny and unfortunate that Turkey, one the large NATO members cannot guarantee security in the country. In Europe, after the France and the U.K, the largest NATO partner is Turkey.
How come violence in that Country is relentless, with some parts in the South looking like Syria.
The assassin was a Turkish policeman assigned to the Ambassador as a body guard
Turks are so fvcked. They are poking a bear that has a taste for Muslims.
africaken254: which photo are you talking about,i am clueless ?
Photos you posted containing the subs operational propellers
Supposed to be a big no no in the submarine world... Having people take photos of the props
If you see pictures of Subs in dry dock they usually have "normal" propellers which are switched out under great secrecy right before the are put back in the water
GreenandGold: Doesn't everyone need a wall... If I had to literally pay money to make a potion that borders Mozambique, I'll literally do it. Mpumalanga Lowveld is literally flooded with Mozambican and Swazi illegals. In fact if we can do deportation the local population would drop by a handful millions and spare the land from never ending township sprawls (and illegal land occupation).
If I had to become the South African president, I'll literally make border security with Mozambique and Zimbabwe the biggest priority... The ANC is just too cheesy with illegals.
1 in 6 South Africans is a foreigner
Over 8 million minimum
Americans are freaking out over 12 million, in a country of over 300 million
juman: It is only iraqi army and kurds that fight isis to liberate their cities, towns and villages.
But america, russia and president assad do not fight isis. They are just using it as political tool for political gain.
Yes because Russia/SAF has not dropped over 115 tonnes of munitions around T2 is the last 15 hours nor have they moved one of their best units, 105th Parachute Regiment, away from the fighting in Damascus and sent them down the Homs-Palymera highway. It's also not like the SAF is not using its last operational IL-76, which it was hiding in Iran, to fly Tiger Force down into the area.
Really, blaming Assad for not focusing on ISIS will fighting a war that has over 18 fronts, while the Iraqi army sat on its arse for over a year, is duplicitous to say the least.
africaken254: there are radars which can detect a human more than 30Km and vehicles more than 100Km,technology is there for your invisible fence/wall (day light and thermal cameras that can see several hundred kilometers, buried ground sensors e.t.c) also an actual fence may be helpful,if someone breach your fence.it can indicate a threat is within your area.every day a patrol team will sent to inspect if your fence has being breached
Henry240: Go back to the post, i have now added on the comment.
On Radios, they are a standard. I don't know where you get your idea from. The essence of the photo is to sure where Nigerian troops usually hang them. I'm referring to the soldier standing with the Nigerian chiefs.
@Deathmachine, Youngmoneypi, Souljaboi and the other Nigerian soldiers who comment on this thread can confirm.
I disagree on the radios, pictures and logic being my basis
But let's leave it at that: we disagree
No need to start another poo flinging contest (just yet)
Henry240: That's a standard across the Nigerian military's commando battalion. That's a Nigerian military commando.
This is what the kit of your average Nigerian soldier looks like (the photos in this post).
All soldiers deployed come kitted in a DICON battle/bulletproof vest/webbing, boots, desert or woodland camo, rifle, camel back and radio.
The Personal Role Radios those commandos are carrying are only issued to Commandos.
Now you'll say...... But some of the photos of the guys in the N.E aren't this way?
The answer is Soldier preference. For many reasons including the fact that heat temperatures in the AOR averages +40 degrees or a delay in logistics replacement.
Not trying to start a fight here
But we both know radios aren't standard for regulars.
With regards to guys in the NE saying soldier preference isn't a good reason.
Taking the back plate out of your BPV is one thing (like our guys do) but just wearing what you want is another.
This is one of the sergeants jobs - policing uniforms and equipment!
BlackBaron: Doubt up to 4000. From equipment captured, it showed very little defence of the city. Seems like the main bulk of the army got deployed elsewhere and left less experienced (paramilitary) numbers in Palmyra. Besides, small numbers of Tiger Forces were also in Palmyra when terrorists attacked. In another way, it also shows the poor quality of troops in many Arab units, once an enemy attacks, they peel away only for another counter attack to recapture previously captured areas by others which costs more lives.
Most likely after Aleppo, Desert hawks, Tiger forces and the mix of the proscribed terror groups fighting for Assad would have to be redeployed there.
It was NDF in the city
Tiger Forces are no longer a cohesive Brigade, they got broken up and sent off to put out fires on multiple fronts
4000 Jihadists attacked a position held by under 1000 Syrian army soldiers. i read the Tiger unit is currently assessing the situation.
Only 300 isis (max)
the entire Tiger forces division is in Aleppo, it took them 3 weeks to move from Palmyra to Aleppo so I doubt they will play much of a role in the coming days.
No one knows what the Desert Hawks Brigade are doing, they are all over the place, Aleppo, Homs and somehow they got into the beseiged airbase at Dez-Azzur.
Story is that ISIS used chemical weapons and NDF (militia) units in Palmyra ran for it leaving only small groups of SAA to hold back the ISIS push
BlackBaron: Small enclave still left. Unfortunately, Palmyra got captured by shitty state, there'll have to be coordinated pushes on Mosul, raqqa, Palmyra (relieve Deir er Zor) in order to put the terrorists on the defensive instead of an ability to mount offensives at different points.
Word is the FSA has agreed to leave the city in the famous "green busses"... Same way many other pockets have been shut down.
Palmyra is a meme city, the real center of gravity in the area is T2 airbase, just west of it.... Biggest arms stockpile in the country, and it's locked down tiiight
Now the interesting part comes... With Aleppo out the way the FSA will have 25 000 men (including Hawks/Tiger brigade)... Where they go will tell us everything we need to know
Busted, his ridiculous claims keep getting shattered. I found that claim of his rather ridiculous, anyway not anymore than most of the others he spits on a daily basis.
Examples?
List 3
It's sad that you insult forum members in an attempt to start e-fights.
africaken254: off topic :@henry remind me again about the bullsh#T @ patches689 said, why turkey wasn't allowed by the Germans to deploy its Leopard 2A4 tanks into syria
How is a factual statement ridiculous?
Germany attached conditions to the sale of the Leo 2, Turks weren't allowed to use them against Kurds or deploy in Southern Anatolia.
The Turkish Army is not fighting Kurds and it is no longer in Southern Anatolia.
Henry240: They poke in from where ever, jump into a discussions without first understanding the parameters of what is been discussed. you'll think any person who wants to contribute should ordinarily have a clear picture of what he intends to add.
tdayof: Obviously the pilot isn't Nigerian. However, that doesn't mean we do not have qulaified people to fly our aircrafts. Canada hires foreign pilots too to cut down price. Just like the Mi24 which was flown by a foreigner in one of our videos. We have also seen mi24 being operated by Nigerian Airforce personnel.
Not what I was saying.
The discussion is about whether the mercs own the helos and where they could be from
Obviously Nigeria has crew for the equipment it owns...
