lezz: Your heart can bleed for all I care. [s]You exemplify South Africa's core deficiency: pretence, self-dellusion, false-hype, criminal falsification of statistics and acute insecurity and poor prioritisation.
Let the pic below alter your heart beat and knock your pulse out of rhythm. [/s] 55x better to live in South Africa Thats all that counts |

lezz: Hmm, Nothing to be embarrassed about.
[s]Rather, South Africa is slipping into oblivion. It is a horror show for you. In just over a year you have slipped 2 places behind.
Tell us, what business does Nigeria have to beat you into insignificance economically while fighting insurgency for over 6 years?
Or Egypt which is dealing with Isis and unstable government ?
The answer is simple. Your masters, europeans, are no more.
The world watches from the sidelines as the most inexperienced, incompetent group of Zulus and mixed breeds make a mockery of south Africa in every human indices of development.[/s] is it 2020? |

lionel4power: 1 LST holds 600-700 men, 2 LST holds about 1400-1500 men. no 1) support ships holds fuel, food and general logistics... they have a crane for offloading goods ashore.
no 2) no a single sub can't sink anything. we can deploy 5 helicopters with the fleet. 3 anti-ship lynx with depth charge. we will bring along our shaldag class is faster than your torpedo and it carries depth charge too. no 3) like I said before the fleet will be fitted with potent air-defence systems... plus we will equip our infantrymen with strella and blowpipe surface to air. your hawk and rooivalk are not special. 1. Ok - 1500 men against ~50 000 men, ~12 grip, ~24 Hawk, 11 Rooivalk, 200 Olifant, ~150 Rooikat and over 1000 Ratel... seems like a one way ticket to me 2. How much supply do 1500 men require in combat, per day 3. Yes, one sub most certainly can - and all it really has to target is your LST - You dont have "anti-ship lynx" or depth charge - Aaaand the Range on a Shaldag is? 4. Your fleet does not have potent AA, Strela and Blowpipe are obsolete - practically useless against modern platforms. - Ingwe missile outrages the Strela, Rooivalk can attack from stand off distance in complete saftey I like hypothetical exercises, and I commend you on conducting yourself in a polite and gentlemanly manner. However, this little exercise holds no water whatsoever. |

lionel4power: that's where those 4 support ships comes in... they carry fuel, food and general logistics. 3 frigates and 10 corvette/fast attack craft will provide air defence and shore bombardment. 1. What 4 support ships? 2. 3 Frigates? You have one - and it is not operations, therefore, you have no qualified crew 3. 10 corvette/strike craft - most are not operational (the strike craft at least) and your corvettes are useless in conventional warfare SAN will sink them with ease |

agaugust: Sagaie will destroy even a T-72 tank.
"Sagaie introduced a GIAT TS 90 series turret mounting a 90mm high-velocity, long-barrel main gun. The major benefit of this installation was its support for an Armor-Piercing Discarding Sabot - Fin Stabilized (APDS-FS) anti-tank projectile which modernized the ERC 90 family against emerging battlefield threats - particularly the ubiquitous Soviet T-72 Main Battle Tank which were appearing in greater numbers all across the world."

agaugust: SANDF has no bridge in Congo DRC.
Sea to shore ship to land artillery bombardment is done before amphibious landing IF coast is defended, many coasts are undefended too.
Normandy beach was blasted with ship to land artillery bombardment before Juno landing by amphibious vehicles. You claim to be in the navy and yet do not know what shore bombardment/fire support is
That's why you like to run away from me on this forum....when i crush ya ballz 1. Because we dont need a bridge? 2. Why are you talking about Amphibious operations? \ As usual you shift and slide like a snake... now you are talking about amphibious operations? You are a very sad human being |

agaugust: Does your army carry bridges everywhere they go on the battle space like it's a backpack portable bridge? You carry bridges on your MRAPs?
I have never seen a photo of SANDF armoured vehicles in Congo or Sudan followed by loads and loads of trucks carrying bridges, your army did not even deploy bridge construction materials and engineers in Congo DRC, you deployed infantry only.
You want the enemy to wait for you to order aircraft lifting bridge building materials from Pretoria to arrive in 3 days? The enemy has already gained tactical battlefield advantage over you and crossed river Congo while SANDF is killed in their stranded and trapped position.
Also can you build bridges across the Atlantic ocean for amphibious landing when your ships are anchored 5 km away from sea shore to avoid enemy mortar and artillery fire? You ever see an army build pontoon bridge that long on an ocean?
My question is how come you crossed the river to the other side with tanks while you were spending and wasting days and days requesting your army HQ to send trucks and trucks and trucks loaded with heavy pieces of bridge construction equipment to be transported over long distance on off road rough terrain while your main army of armoured non-amphibious vehicles remain stranded and trapped at the river side unable to cross, while the enemy pursuing you from behind has caught up with you and demolished SANDF to be buried by Nigerian army at the lake side?
You say how come we are behind you on that side of the river? Okey then we are the ones on the other side of the river waiting for you with T-72 tanks armed with ERA armour and 125mm killer main gun !
Dunce, your foolish argument is claiming that your army is on the two sides of the river, you are building bridge to cross on the left river bank, yet you claim you are on the opposite side on the right river bank waiting with tanks.....fool, only you spread all over the battle space like termites? Where is the enemy position then ?
Stop wasting my time, South Africa has A BIG TACTICAL DEFICIENCY with no amphibious armoured vehicles, stop twisting military doctrinal and tactical facts, I am a trained battlefield simulator, stop arguing blindly with me. Accept free education from Nigeria and learn .
Only the fools of South Africa will build a tactical combat bridge across a huge ocean....nation of fools, no wonder your economy is crumbling.

We did not need bridges in DRC 2. MARINES DOING AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT 3. Argument invalid - we deployed bridges multiple times in operations in angola Your argument is meaningless and vauge and applies equally to you. You are a complete assclown |

agaugust: If the enemy is not coming from behind you, then he is on the other side of the river, so he is waiting for you with his tanks, you are the one who now needs to cross a wide lake Victoria with pontoon bridges and not all pontoons can hold a heavy tank to cross.
Do you know how much heavy material in large numbers is needed to be transported from your HQ base to a far away river? You think is like loading one truck with oranges? How many building materials are needed to bridge a large lake and how many days to transport them by land especially if it's over harsh road terrain, you dunce? See why modern armies have simple solution of amphibious vehicles? Fool, SANDF is a bunch of fools with no amphibious vehicles in 2015 !
By the way, does your motorized infantry drive around with bridges all the time in case they might need them ? All we see in your military exercises are basic MRAPs. 1. We will go around the lake 2. Again, irrelevant we will go around the lake 3. Yes - in militaries that plan, if there is an need to cross the water obsticle it will be deployed. 4. I dont see anything at your military exercises because you havent had one in 6 years |

Imagine what will happen if we can generate massive electric power and use it as one of our foreign policy reagents in Africa; If we can power Africa, then,a Nigerian president wouldnt be only a president in Nigeria, but an emperor of the black race. The best way to gain leadership is by using the most obvious weakness of your target to propagate your own grand agenda, for the greater good of all. Jesus Christ. Nigerians are literally insane |

lionel4power: we have 2 landing ship tank.. NNS AMBE and NN ofun . . here's an excerpt from a Sierra Leone newspaper years back.
On 02 December 1997 Sierra Leone's military junta accused Nigeria on Tuesday of moving an amphibious tank landing ship and two support vessels into Sierra Leone's territorial waters. A military spokesman said the NNS Ambe and two support ships had anchored 30 nautical miles off the Sierra Leonean coast before pulling back into international waters. "The three Nigerian warships which anchored about 30 nautical miles in Sierra Leone territorial waters have sailed back into international waters from their former position," the spokesman said.

agaugust: The SANDF armoured bridge launchers are just as big and heavy as those of Nigeria, there is a standard or else a tank cannot drive over the launched bridge, anything less than standard to carry 60 ton tanks will collapse. You should pay me for all these free education.
The allies use amphibious Sherman battle tanks to swim the sea and break through German concrete bunker and pill boxes that were killing allied infantry like mosquitoes.
No army drives everywhere with bridge launchers hoping to meet a river. You buy amphibious armoured vehicle's like Nigeria. Comparing Amphibious assault to a river crossing again? |
