[s]Weapon smugglers, robbers, assassins, rhino thieves, armed bandits from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, etc are WRECKING the SANDF battalions deployed, crossing FREELY into your own fatherland's borders on a daily basis....your army cannot even secure your homeland borders, so how will they fight 20,000 Boko Haram if the Bokos already live inside your own cities spread across the nation with anti-aircraft guns and RPGs [/s]
11 companies deployed along 5 000km of border

80 000 persons detained in 6 months

Doing just fine.

Tell us again about how well Nigeria is doing - World piracy hotspot, ongoing criminality in the Niger delta, Boko Haram jumping from country to country at will.

Facts are: You got your arse handed to you by men with MUSKETS

FVCKING MUSKETS!!!

[s]The same drills that SANDF uses and armed men criss cross your border daily under the noses of battalions of SANDF troops trained at your 'prestigious' military academy and posted to protect your borders, yet fail woefully everyday as arms smugglers, assassins, poachers, ets play hide and seek in your fatherland bush land, dribbling Mandela's soldiers like Tom & Jerry cartoon.....yet you claim Col. Eben Barlow is your South African war expert.....has he saved you? Has your academy of prestige training saved you at homeland ?

Incompetent inexperienced SANDF buffooooonns[/s] tongue tongue
.
Tell that to the 80 000 illegals the SANDF captured on the border in just 6 months

Mr. Balow trained 120 of our troops on use of MRAP and light machine guns. He is just a basic infantry rifle officer, not a composite mechanized brigade officer. His tactics were basically hot pursit, hit and run guerrilla tactics, that is what he knows .

How does that relate to Nigeria using tactics to fight with thousands of tanks, IFV, APC, heavy artillery ? Barlow teaches about Bofors artillery?
He teaches doctrine

His role as a supervisor for your army is well recorded on beegugug's blog

Yes same metal sheet protection for Mbombe and Igirigi, both are hull protected from 7.62 mm bullets only.

STANAG rating wont save the Mbombe you dunce, 23 mm x 2 double barrel cannon from Igirigi will kill everything inside that Mbombe
.
1. No, not the same - Mbombe is protected against IED's (10kg under wheel, 50kg at 5m) and RPG's
https://www.shephardmedia.com/news/7211/

2. STANAG rating of level 4 means protection against 14.5×114mm AP / B32 at 200 meters. Meaning it is defended against all but the heavyest of weapons

Now: citations for igirururgurugrur ratings please.

Conclusion: Not the same as the sheet metal welded on your Ford F50 hull

Two fools on Monday morning....fools...UN buys armoured vehicles directly from Manufacturer and paint the UN colours...Fools of Soweto.

"ANKARA — Turkey’s leading armored vehicles manufacturer, Otokar, has said that it won a $24.6 million contract from the United Nations.

In a news release March 6, Otokar said the contract was for an unspecified number of the company’s Cobra vehicles. The UN will use the Cobras in peacekeeping operations, the company said."

http://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/united-nations-purchases-cobra-armoured-vehicles-from-turkish-company

Envy will choke you all to d..eath....Nigerian Proforce will soon snatch the market from DENEL like we did to your GDP grin grin
.
You are about 70 years behind us in regards to vehical manufacture

Build something that beats what we built in WW2 and then come talk to us

No it does not!

A version of the Mbombe carries ATGMs, so can a version of the Igirigi carry ATGMs.

A 23mm cannon would cut through the Mbombe like "hot knife through butter".
1. No version of the Igiririri carries ATGM's
2. 30mm will be more effective

Rooikat is only 76mm gun. One shot from a Nigerian 90mm gun Sagaie and your Mbombe or Rooikat are both dead
1. Rooikat has better optics
2. Rooikat has a stabilized gun

Rooikat sees first, Rooikat shoots first, Rooikat hits first

Also:

Max range on the ERC 90's gun: 900m
http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product3587.html

Max range on the Rooikats gun: 2000m

Rooikat sees first, shoots first, hits first and all beyond the range of the ERC90
http://www.military-today.com/artillery/rooikat.htm

Thats why we chose a smaller 71mm gun (high-pressure) over the low-pressure 90mm... we have experience in armored warfare (unlike you) so we know what we are looking for

How did I admit Mbombe is better? They are not same purpose vehicle, Igirigi is LAV, Mbombe is MRAP/IFV. Can't compare two unlike items.

Why will Mbombe shoot first? He has juju spiritual powers?

Igirigi will shoot first with 23 mm X 2 cannon and eat up the Mbombe.

Shoot on the move? Even Boko Haram shoots on the move with 23 mm cannon.
1. MRAP/IFV > LAV

2. Mbombe has better optics, better optics means he sees you first, when he sees you first he shoots first

3. Shooting on the move and hitting what you shoot are two different things - hence why people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for gun stabilization systems

Bwahahaha...Posting 30 year old video of Apartheid era SADF ....see Impala jets and Mirage jets, you now mixed it with a few tiny clips of your current inferior SANDF training of old people's infantry.....my own Nigerian video is current date year 2013 just 2 years ago.

LOL....fool, your SADF Brigade exercise video does not even have up to 100 troops in action.

The Nigerian video is INTER-BRIGADE exercise meaning many brigades combined, and that's why the exercise commander is a Major General GOC 2 division Nigerian army Ibadan city, not a Brigadier General. It was a bigger war game than a brigade.

It was actually FOUR BRIGADES combined training/war game, namely

32 Artillery Brigade Akure
22 Brigade Ilorin
2 Division Engineers Ibadan
4 Brigade Benin

Nigerian army used FOUR brigades combined in that single war game/exercise recently done 2013.

Sure I have shocked you and Mike.ZCAR with this revelation, you thought only SANDF trains in large numbers....ignorant fools grin grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DaEB9mL3Rw
1. Video is from 2005

2. Ex Young Eagle had 5000 men from 44 Parachute Regiment, 9 South African Infantry Battalion, 1 Special Services Battalion, 2 Field Engineer Regiment, 10 Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Light Artillery Regiment, 1 Tactical Intelligence Regiment, SA Special infantry Capability, 1 Signal Regiment, 102 Field Workshop and 17 Maintenance Unit.

3. That is not an EXERCISE - it is an inter-brigade competition, swimming races/oreinteering and such - not feild maneuvers. You should watch things before you post them

No, you have shocked no one with your little Army sports day

Nigeria does not conduct brigade sized feild exercises - fact.
And it shows in your combat operations

What evidence do you have that the T-72 is obsolete?

Not according to the insurgents at the receiving end of it's dual 23mm.
Who said anything is obsolete?

You said you would choose battle tested over "paper statistics"

So then you would choose the battle tested T-72 over the K2 Black Panther.

Is this correct?

SANDF training is outdated 1970s war style of set pieces like two people playing lawn tennis, Serena Williams Vs Venus Williams .

With your poor battlefield tactics, even Kenyan army will thrash SANDF like they do to El-Shabab
.
How is modern warfare different to what we did?

[s]SANDF exercises are like women walking around a shopping mall, your soldiers hardly ever run, HIV sick army of Mandela grin grin

Nigerian troops will beat up the entire South African military without using weapons....SANDF troops are flabby like flip flop slippers [/s] grin grin
.
So I take it you have no real counter to the points I raised?

Rag-tag musket armed boko haram kicked you out of 40 towns and cities... god alone knows the kind of analdevistation the SANDF will wreak on you

So if you don't know whether Algeria and Egypt have tactical data-link or not, how do you know that Nigeria does not have it? You spoke with Nigerian military chiefs of staff at HQ ?

You have personally admitted that Nigeria does not have one.

And stop changing the argument - you are all over the place.

The choice is simple.

A battle-proven IFV over an IFV with paper-capabilities........... I'll go with the battle-proven IFV any day, any time.
So you would chose the inferior product?

The K2 black panther is not battle proven
The T-72 is

You would chose the T-72 over the Black Panther?

Commanders begging for equipments weeks after weeks and none, not even an additional MRAP delivered, doesn't show an SANDF that is properly equipped.

Your Airforce has to rely on charter services because you only have 3 old C-130s in active service for a country of over 1500km in size.

Your countries over-dependence on world war II relics is well known and well documented.

"Why don't we jack that figure up to 20,000 men?". facts,

- Seleka laid waste to SANDF elite troops

- Seleka took over the capital and government

- Bozize fled

- SANDF fled

Pity your 1970s tactics couldn't help you against hoe wielding farmers.
1. Citatio for "weeks before"
2. With over 800 MRAP's and over 1000 wheeled IFV's/APC's i would say we have enough (more than you)
3. Augubugug has claimed 20 000... as well as 30 000 from time to time
4. 5 C-130's operational at any one time, 9 in service (total) citations have been provided, it is you whom rely on 3 C-130's, again citations provided

- Seleka suffered 400 casualties against 200 men despite having well over 2000 of their own
- Seleka requested a cease-fire
- SANDF personel and majority of equipment protected
- Our job was never to protect the capital
- Bozize is still alive? mission accomplished

Ask 400 dead seleka about "1970's tactics"

The same sheet metal welded onto your unimog truck produced the Mbombe.

Igirigi's with 23mm cannons mounted on them are much better IFVs than your mbombe. The Igirigi brings to the fight double the fire-power.

Way more impressive and more importantly, battle proven. Of-course, I'd pick the Igirigi over the Mbombe.

-Hundreds and Hundreds of dead Boko-Haram fighters is all the stats that's required.
the same sheet metal? So they have the same STANAG rating? citations please

So you would take unstabilized, 20mm with no optics over a stabilized 30mm with optics (day night etc)?

So the fact that the Mbombe has better off road capabilities, IED protection and carries more men is not relevant?

lolzy lolly lol

Two questions,

-Why did you lose against Seleka?

-Why did the SANDF run away ?
- We didnt lose

- We left because the loca regional bloc would not support an attempt to push them out of bangui

Proforce HCMPAV should be mass troop transport replacing lorries and Pinzgauer, but must be armed with one forward 30 mm cannon remote station or manual roof hatch and 40 mm grenade launcher on the rear turret, 22 troops with 22 side and rear firing ports will be difficult to ambush, plus the mine clearing dozer blades, ISIS will fear this one and NATO will buy it.

There is nothing spectacular in this vehicle. it's just an armoured car with a 30mm cannon. It's just like bragging about mounting a 30mm cannon on a Nigerian army Igirigi APC
1. So the Mbombe is the same as the Igirigi?
2. Designing, building and mounting an unmanned 30mm turret is easy?

Nigeria has yet to build anything in the class of the Mbombe

Yes it was, as it is on record that your generals begged for APCs and Helicopters from Pretoria to no avail.
Yes, in the days building up to the action.

But the deployment in CAR (when equipment was initially sent) was not intended to be a combat deployment
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:37pm On Nov 22, 2015

- yes it is Nigerian, It is license built. If the BOA is not Nigerian, then the Badger is not South-African.

- The Ara is currently under-development.

- Your Special forces used them extensively in the CAR.
- How much of the BOA is domestically designed and how much is comprised of equipment only found in Nigeria? 70%? no? then its not nigerian

- And thus is hypothetical

- And CAR was not intended to be a combat deployment
