water boils @ 100c at normal atmospheric pressure, but it's temperature can exceed that. As a general rule when the water boils then it's fine.

1st off both can be very very lucrative, its all about the amount of exposure u get and the passion you put into the business. No one can tell you for certain which one will be more successful in your case. You really cant look at it generally. each business case is a subjective experience and affected by its own unique circumstances. What I would advise is that you should do the one your wife is more passionate about or the one her heart and mind first goes to when thinking about it. If she is truly skilled as u say then the potential for success is high with both. Start with the one she feels most natural with and then as time goes on you may start the other. Like I said Dermis can always claim for passing off reason is that the goods look almost identical and the get up is very similar. the fact that the wold does not pay attention much to designs (as you say) does not change what the law says and does not mean you will fail in a claim for passing off or infringement of design.

where there is a remedy under the law it exists as such even if it is rarely used. All it requires is for one person to claim it. Designs are being registered on a daily basis and the reason is that many people still take their designs seriously.

Like I earlier stated, Natural Dermis can only make something for themselves if indeed they are the first to use such packaging designs. Albeit, the world, as it stands, barely pay attention to design patents and mostly channel their energy on utility patent. Every thin of milk, regardless of brand, have the same shape, just like sardine cans all over the world. The same applies to Mayos and chili containers.

Bottom line: Natural Dermis is only agree to see that a local brand is rising to the ocassion here. They should calm down and be ready for stiff competition.

There is more to intellectual property rights than what you have said.

Designs - referring to Designs (product design and packaging)
copyright- referring to artistic works, photos, sound, writings etc
Trade marks- referring to words, phrases and logos.

First the rights allegedly infringed here are Design rights and not Patents. Now the fact that Natural Dermis has not registered their design rights (we are not sure of the registration status) is not the end of the world. lack registration makes a claim for infringement impossible. However the aggrieved person can always make a claim for "passing off" ie due to the similarity in the packaging the copying party is said to be passing off its products as those of the aggrieved party.

So Natural Dermis can always sue for passing off if their design is not registered.

Milo's container (I mean the sardine Milo) is exactly the same as Titus (brand) itself, while Meisha looks exactly like Geisha. It's all about patent. Unfortunately enough, most of these brands don't patent their products and Dabota, I'm sure, she would have done her research to figure this.

Unfortunately for Natrual Dermis, if it truly happens to be that their bottling and packaging styles are not duly patented, then this is nothing but hot air and it's dead on arrival.

a simple google image search has busted you and Nigeria has no jet fighters with that shape, try better next time. this image is one that has been seriously peddled already.

I imagine this image is of the Lagos airport. these Assets have been sitting there for a while. can be seen when local flights are taxing after landing and from the road outside the airport. shame to see them sitting idle.
