they are money reducing agents! ![]() |
hahahahhahahahhahhaaa ![]() N-I-G-E-R-I-A wonderland!!!! we have had corrupt government in the past but I must say, this is the MOST CORRUPT EVER!!! |
can we have pictures of the ones you have successfully assembled please? |
efisher:if you are waiting for these figures, then you are wasting your time. these guys are working on mere speculations. they have got no figures. just a bunch of careless officials who have deliberately decided to throw vigilance into thin air thinking the people are still in their slumber. unfortunately for them, Nigerians are awake now. thank God for the youth and what the social media & social network sites have empowered them to do. |
@ Jp Phlps: '' Our three refineries at optimum capacity utilizes about 450,000bbl/d which gives 45,000,000usd in monetary terms in other words, the price of raw material in this case, crude, accrued to our refineries comes at 45m usd per day , if you add refining cost and profit of 6usd per bbl,The total cost becomes 270,000,000usd per day.'' which kin maths b dis wan o! ![]() more explanation needed becos, cost of crude ($100) + refining cost and profit ($6) = $106 X 450,000 barrels = 47,700,000 |
mainly quadrupled due to inflated false imports by cabals. they collude with custom officials, offer them irresistible tips to approve & sign deliveries of MT's of oil that was never brought into the country. saying the number of cars brought in has increased is just a flimsy reason. although such factor is likely to increase domestic consumption, it's effect is negligible. another factor worth considering is the fact that power supply has been deplorable, thus increasing local consumption as people burn more fuel to generate power. thanks to corrupt custom officials and NEP. PLC (NEPA). one thing still remains valid,- this government is an irresponsible one and should not be trusted. if OBJ's government can build up foreign reserves to the tune of $33b while retaining fuel subsidy, i see no reason why they argue it's impossible to work with subsidy still intact. lets not forget that the $33b as we speak, has been squandered by this prodigal government of GEJ within barely 2 yrs. if subsidy is removed, they will generate about $8b annually. a government that has unaccountably splurged $33b in less than 2yrs, is now coming up to pull wool over our eyes by claiming they can judiciously use $8b to the benefit of the masses. this, as far as i'm concerned, is sheer casuistry (sweet talks). they are not to be trusted. they just want to add more allowances and get more aides for them selves in the face of the current political unrest and insecurity within the country. |
more information needed about this. looks so vague and nebulous. ![]() |
is this still available? is the road leading to the houses motorable? is it located at the outskirts of the city? how far from the city center? any payment plan? |
I'v read every post here and i must confess that drugdoc or whatever he calls himself is either a right hand man of one of these govt officials/cabals or is most definitely high of HARD drugs. others in support of subsidy removal are equally reasoning foolishly and may need to visit a shrink. , an adage in my place which says that a woman whose children die while sleeping does NOT allow the surviving ones to sleep too much. some astute debaters on this forum have asked very rational questions -''what happened to the money generated from subsidy removal from diesel and kerosene?' fuel is the only one left and now they want to prey on it. NO-WAY O! if we must believe the government, let them start by cutting down their c-razy salaries and investing the money into social welfare and infrastructures for at least two years, once we Nigerians) see the developments, then we shall gladly (with smiles and deep appreciation) allow them remove fuel subsidy. 25% (1/4) of annual budget goes into their salaries, they dont buy fuel, have numerous aides, live in affluence and are not willing to make any sacrifice yet they want the masses to single-handedly saddle the responsibility (if at all they mean it) no way, dem no dey entrust fried meat for cat hand o! or give monkey banana to hold. u'll be sure of where to find it when u get back. |
25% reduction in salary is no joke !!! ![]() |
guy, run away. another name for that car is 'pocket bug'. |
pro01:this is pure trash. absolute trash. it's your types who encourage immorality and promiscuity among ladies. giving them the impression that their guys will never get to find out because they are 'real guys', real guy my foot. |
big lie jor. no girl is a virgin since i'v not met with any ![]() |
as far as i'm concerened on this issue, the Poster is just foolishly being ungrateful to God. I just wonder why people can be this ungrateful to their stars. ![]() the devil has blinded folded you for four (4) good years and you have been STUPIDLY & CARELESSLY dining with the devil. not even with a long spoon, but with bare hands - defenceless and now you've been so lucky, the blindfold have been removed and you can see the Jezebel you almost took for a wife. rather than being grateful to God for revealing the b!tch to you, you turn around and complain, you whine and snivel like a toddler. do you know how many married men out there that are so unlucky and never had this privilege you have to see the daemon in their wife before they tied the knots with her? do you know how many of them currently wished they could turn back the hands of time and chose a better lady (if there's any)? this lady would have cheated on you if you had married her- i'm sure! a b!tch is always and will ever remain a b!tch. go give testimony in your church if you are a christian o! I was once in your shoes and I was so happy I found out before marrying her. wake up and stop whining. |
@OP: welcome to the club! I have read two similar stories on this section within the space of 5minutes. see this also for reference : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-803617.32.html I'm tempted to share mine but I won't because if I drop it like bomb, NLand will shut down completely! My position is that Nigerian ladies are NOT WORTH IT! they are just spineless B.I.T.C.H.E.S. I wonder where Karma has gone to. it should just come and pitch it's tent among 9ja ladies. they are ALL cheats. greedy BASTARDS, wouldn't zip up. NEVER u EVER trust a Nigerian girl. N-E-V-E-R i repeat N-E-V-E-R!!!!!!!! |
logica: ![]() BIG FAT LIE! in this case, he had ulterior motives for borrowing the money. he never had the interest of his children at heart. he neither sent them to good schools nor bought them Peak milk. Rather he enrolled them in a lower standard school, never paid their school fees, bought more jeeps and SUV's for himself, fed on beaf (sorry beef) meat and milk while his children languished in hunger and yawned on empty stomachs all day. he hired lots of body guards for himslf while his children lived with the menace of insecurity (som even suffered bomb blasts). the money was simply used for his own selfish and insatiable quest for self-centred luxury. now tell me why shylock wouldn't ask for a pound of flesh or his heart? answer the question yourself. ![]() |
arewatech:abeg help me ask him again. did they tie your hands from closing your boarders from importation and developing locally made products? see envy oooo! ![]() |
Beaf:are you thinking at all? you must be real confused. as a matter of fact, this move will completely annihilate local production & Nigeria may have to depend solely on importation. 30% capacityty of our refineries may be reduced to 0%. the only advantage will be that since importation will be liberalised, market forces 'may' eventually (on the long run) reduce the pump price (tho insigniificantly -if they dont form a union or peg a price). I'v been following this argument for sometime now. but I must confess that in as much as removing subsidy is not a bad idea, it is not at the moment a logical strategy in the Nigerian economy considering the paltry minimum wage. secondly, the endemic corruption within the system will only make things worse because funds generated will be grossly mis-managed. our leaders bask in ostentation, splurge money as they deem fit and I believe they will squander the funds as they have always done in the past. they are all cursed with extravagance. subsidy withdrawal will only generate more funds that will serve as water to the seed of corruption. you all sit back, watch, enjoy the ride and watch corruption soar as people will loot massively the proceeds from subsidy. contracts will be inflated, abandoned projects everywhere, many more contracts will not even be embarked on after more than half of the funds for such contracts have been allocated. favoritism, nepotism and god-fatherism will be the frame-work for the award of contracts. eventually, things will get tougher for Nigerians- as this projects will either not be executed or shoddily and shabbily done . only a disciplined and visionary government will utilize such proceeds judiciously. Nigeria has always been unlucky with rational leaders right from 1960. the deficiency continues till date with Badluck Jona (Gooluck Jona sorry) taking the cake. He is here to extend his confusion like a contagious plague to the others. our government is VERY GOOD with projects and propositions appearing very sweet on paper, empty promises but when the time comes to deliver, you see them stuttering. dont be surprised when the proceeds from fuel subsidy is used to order for 3 private jets for each senator and double security votes for governors, e.t.c |
pauloch:is this for the hall alone or for the drinks? ![]() |

why only London? how about those of us in Scotland, Wales & northern Uk? ![]() |
very interesting topic. I have been deep in thoughts about this for a very long time now. though i had thought I could do mine mid this year (Lagos preferably) , I'm currently developing cold feet due to the looming inflation that may follow the hike in fuel pump price. i can see some ridiculously high amounts being stated here and i must say it's scaring and further puts me off. ![]() i really luv my girl and we wished it could be this year. she's not working but i get some funds from my research scholarship in UK. which really isn't much. i don't plan to spend more than 1.5mil and i'm expecting about 250-300 guests. however, i perceive the recent inflation setting in may sabotage our plans. I'm sooo confuseeed to say the least. I'v never been this confused o! ![]() any suggestions please? |

, just watch & see how moni from subsidy will be enormously looted |
In descending order of disappointment to the entire nation (Nigeria) the 'foolowing': 1. Police (pathetic. your money is their friend) 2. Judiciary (they are adroits at sabotaging the course of justice & due process) 3. Engineering (Electrical being the worst of them all; NEPA being a perfect example, seconded by Civil; collapse buildings everywhere) 4. Lecturers (Research & Curriculum development is Zero. students buy grades. if you can pay n u are a female, pay in kind) 5. Politicians (visionless nitwits) The 'following' aren't currently doing badly, however, there's so much room for development with better support. 1. Banking 2. Medicine 3. Prim/Sec school teachers (public schools excluded- many govt public schools are breeding places for tugs/social miscreants) 4. Agriculture (Govt funding needed) 5. Entertainment (growing, not badly) ![]() |
very silly question. ![]() they are both humanitarian courses. why study them to make profit? ![]() so you want a course that'll fully arm you to give your clientel (or patients in this case) CRAZY bills and you wana venture into a humanitarian profession. hope you have your thinking caps on? |

corruption and impaired vision of African leaders remain the major inhibitor to rapid development in Africa. grass-root development is almost zero. what we see every now and then is published figures reflecting development at millipede speed. with huge handy resources Africa is currently (and hitherto) gifted with, Africa deserves to be leading in all ramifications of social/economic development. |
'the president condemned the attacks' , arrrgghhhh (NO! he ought to have hailed them) |
'the contract has been awarded' ![]() ' a 5 man-panel/committee has been set up to look into the issue' , with your bifocals I guess. ![]() |
