Also, whilst Rodri has been fantastic for City in recycling possession and contributing to their attacking play, you can't just wish away the fact that he struggles when he has to cover grounds as he just doesn't have the pace. It is not a trait you'd notice because City are hardly ever on the back foot. Put Rodri in a team like Spurs or Liverpool and you'd see that he is indeed an escort.

In all, credit to Tuchel and Pep for finding a system that mask the flaws of these guys whilst promising their strength.

I'm not making excuses for Sancho but every player goes through an adaptation process when they join a new team esp. from another league

But if the team you are joining is not a settled one where your role and where you have to fit in is not established from day one, the process becomes difficult and the player might never even make it out successfully (flop status)

Some of us never really thought Sancho was the shit. I never saw him as an upgrade on Greenwood on the right sight and on the left where he drifts most times, we had Rashford and Martial whom I felt should have been made to fight it out for that position.

Some may say it's early days but Sancho has not shown enough promise.

Sancho gets in a lot of good positions, often times, 1 v 1 but he hardly ever gets past his man and when he does, his shot is too tame...What was the hype about? Most painful is the fact that even with him in the team, Greenwood is still the best alternative out on the right...

The problem is not Cavani x Ronaldo combo up top but the supply from the wings and through the middle. With Cavani and Ronaldo, I expected Rangnick to stick with Telles and Dalot but then, for reasons best known to him, Shaw and AWB are back in the team as starters.

Shaw has been particularly dreadful, his crosses hardly ever beats the first man. I saw Cavani waved his hands in frustration in one particular incident...
