Teespice: Personally, I don't think a date has to be in a restaurant.

I prefer we have that date in a garden or park, then subsequently in a restaurant IF you have the means.

My two kobo.

i'm always suspicious when i see Naija gurls write like this . . . nywy sha, there are 2 to 3 cool parks close to me, and there'l be means for restaurant on subsequent dates, shall we have the first date this weekend? wink

I completely agree with you miss. . . Change is indeed the only constant thing in life.

If not, how do we rationalize someone who wants to leave a '6-figure Per Month Dream Job in a Big Company' to start working as a Fresher (Management Trainee) in a cigarette company?

You're right, "change is the only constant thing" is responsible for it cheesy

How will this be different from awarding pipeline protection contracts to the same militants that vandalize and keep vandalizing them?

Apart from one comment, every other post is another classic demonstration of how majority of Nigerians deserve to suffer, and miserably too.

We all complain of corruption, bad governance etc but most of it, without proof. Someone however comes out, not in the usual fashion of talk like others, BUT ALSO exposes details that could undermine oppressors in the state.

Now, that person is being mocked by the thoughtless elements of NairaLand (and Nigeria) as usual. Biko, tell me why anyone else should expose rot in government?

Tell me why someone who didn't plan to join them in looting won't decide to join since after all, 'we will" all make fun of him 'for being stupid' to speak out?

With this negative disposition to issues affecting their own lives; Now, tell why the lot of senseless Nigerians deserve any better life than they currently experience?

This is very very disheartening. I actually have this feeling my eyes are getting misty. . .

Even if they must steal, we can't completely stop it now BUT must they rub all these stealing sprees in our faces?

Must they steal this much and without the tiniest attempt to cover their tracks? Making all of these things obvious is nothing but insults on our sensibilities as Nigerians. . .

Someone even said if this was Dangote nobody will talk? Is that poster one of Tompolo's former criminal thugs? Like seriously!! This money looks like revenue of barely a year of work. Abi? Good Lord!

People make more than that in shorter periods of time BUT the whole world can actually point at what those people did to earn the money.

While I have my well founded reservations about Dangote this shouldn't even be used as comparison.

So much for EMANCIPATING the Niger Delta. . .*Smh*

And what are the guidelines in 'recognizing' LAWFUL factions? If any exist of course. . .

All the Jonathan apologists should get this through their thick jonathan-like skulls; No Party Will Ever Admit the existence of Factions within its fold!

And it shouldn't be in INEC's place to recognise multiple entities within a fold, WHEN they declare they are a faction, what yardstick will INEC use to 'Authenticate' them?

Once again; Jokers!!!

With all due respect sir, are you aware of the ruling of the High court sitting in Lagos? That decision subsits and has not been vacated. INEC rubbed pepper into the nPDP's injury by declaring them non-existent. Pray, can something stand on nothing? Can u give what you don't have?
My position is that the Baraje-led group has no locus to continue to attach PDP to their name or parade themselves as such. The overtures by Bamanga is going to be the last straw that will break the camel's back. It is a calculated move to show to the public that the PDP had tried to integrate them , before embarking on punitive measures against them.

Are u trying to say courts can declare which faction/factions is/are legal in a party and which is/are not?

Romance / Re: How Did You Heal From Your Heartbreak?? by Pattey(m): 7:45am On Oct 11, 2013
Amya: I broke up with my boyfriend 2days ago. Let me tell you all the story.
We met last year. He'd just broken up with his girlfriend of 2 years on fidelity grounds (she does runs) and I'd just ended a very toxic of 3 years. We decided to be friends first to see where things would lead to ( as we wouldn't like to fall into that rebound trap) 2 months later we started dating.

I met him at a very low-point in his life. He had just returned from PH where he'd gone for some business and squandered the money his parents gave him for his masters in the US (his parents actually thought he was in the US!) They made peace with him and encouraged him to go for his service. He bailed camp after 1 week, thereby disrupting his whole service year. His parents then ignored him. So he was basically doing nothing when I met him. Just eating and sleeping at his parents. And that is when I met him.

His parents had some financial crisis at some point and threw him out. They told him he had six younger ones and he who had already had a first class education abroad shouldn't end up being liability to them. So he ended up moving from one friend's house to the other. And after a day or two, they'd tell him to leave. At some point, he had to sleep in his car at night. Since we were already dating then, and I loved him. I took up his complete care as he didn't have a dime, encouraged him to get a job. Even help him look. But since he hadn't served, that was hard. I pulled in all my resources and got a decent self contain for him. Went to retrieve my university furnishing and used it there. Made sure he never lacked anything. Gave him money. Cooked for him did lot's of stuff for him.

I believed his situation was temporary and all he needed was to focus. He was good to me too. And never forgot to say how much he loved me. I never for once rubbed it in his face that he was dependent on me.
The family finances became what it used to, and he kept saying he would never go back to his parents and beg. I thought It was a good idea. I encouraged him to be completely independent from them financially for self respect but have a good relationship with them and visit them always.

He reunited with them 2months ago. His Dad wants to set him up with a car dealership. wants him to move to lagos for that. I was happy for him. We'd already planned how we'd commute to from lag to abj every other week.
I went to see him on monday, took his phone and saw a chat he was having with his ex. He claimed he was still single and we wanted her back. He told her they were meant to be together forever. I confronted him. He was dumb struck. I broke up with him and left immediately.

My honest opinion? You soooo got what you deserved!. . . QED!

I mean, how do you rationalize being with SUCH a hopeless loser? And expect you won't be a victim of his unserious, lack luster, "vision-less", "mission-less", NFA-ish way of life?

Can you imagine how much more things many people would have accomplished if they didn't have to do it all by themselves?

Someone like that who has no problem with squandering golden opportunities offered by his parents SHOULD HAVE been expected to definitely screw up with any good girl as well.

Summary; that guy can never appreciate ANY good thing and its your well deserved fault for not being thoughtful.

I will say this again;

The Old Missionary Churches did a lot for Nigeria. They gave us hospitals, schools, portable water and countless social amenities. As at 1942-50 if I'm not mistaken, 97% of educated people in Nigeria were products of missionary schools.

What are the new generation churches doing today besides enriching church coffers and pastor's vaults with the Widow's mite? What a shame!

Mind you, the old churches did not even develop Nigeria with indigenous tithes and offering! I mean, how much did we have back then? They were bring the church's money from overseas to come and develop our society.

Today, churches making money even here on Nigerian soil are not making adequate efforts to live up to the creeds handed down to them by Christ.

What a shame!

Why don't you do a documentary on that and pay a visit to the churches in question on welfare days. In Winners, I cannot recollect how many of choice clothes and suits i and my wife have given away. Some bring food. Others bring all sorts of materials, given to people who need them. Not to talk of the outreaches.

OP, you and other biased people like you will only see what you want to see. Those who are objective know the truth.

Look how tunisia is stablizing after deposing ben ali. Look how egypt is crushing opposition. Libya is still rolling in the gutter and giving some people reason to regret deposing that monster called gadaffi.

Excuse you? Which Egypt are you talking about?

In case you're not enlightened, power has returned to Mubarrak's camp, so, strike out Egypt from ur wishful list. Even Tunisia is recording violence ontop of assasination ontop of aaall other manner of destabilization.
