dirtymoney: So... What has madam got to do with people donating government and ministerial monies for her mum's burial? Who is to blame? Her or the other corrupt ministers who are donating? Imagine if a minister, comes to my house, knocks on my door, and hands me over a ghana-must-go bag containing 1 billion. And tells me to use the money to start a bizness. What do you expect me to do? If i refuse the money, ya'll will say am fooolish. If i recieve it. Ya'll will say am corrupt! It was a donation......... Blame the donators, not the donatee.

Silverb: u just said it all, most men these days can be really greedy, 1- dey register all their property in their names alone forgetting abt their wives coz dey feel women are just after wealth. Things are changing, a lot of women are wiser nw, 2 - I dnt see any reason y his wife would go behind his back to build a house if he actually included d wife's name in his property, yeah d wife is wrong for doing it secretly but there's always 2sides to a story.

1; OP says he included his wife in all registered assets, would you like to have a meeting with him to verify this? Maybe he'l show you the docs wink

2; He doesn't understand her action(s), that's why he has brought this to public glare

funkybaby:

thank you jare.

some people here are something else.

so i need my man's PERMISSION before i build a house?

what about splashing money on a new car or victoria secret lingerie? do i also need his permission for that? undecided undecided

If you read the OPs comments carefully, he says the properties owned at the moment are in both their names, I.e Mr and Mrs bla bla bla

The ish now is, why will the man build up assets in both their names while the woman decides to go solo? If you still don't see any problem with that, then you have no business being in matrimony; holy or unholy.

What is your favourite bible verse? Mine is Isaiah 4:1 wink grin

Isaiah 4:1

New Living Translation (NLT)

In that day so few men will be left that seven
women will fight for each man, saying, “Let us all
marry you! We will provide our own food and
clothing. Only let us take your name so we won’t be
mocked as old maids.”

Brothers on NairaLand, resounding Amen!?! grin

What makes Folorunsho Alakija a hoe? Are you saying every rich woman is a hoe? If that aint it; From what we know Folorunsho Alakija has been married to just one man and has all her kids for thesame man. On the other hand, Stella Oduah has had husband number three and still counting!!!

Based on your thoughtless post, Who is the hoe now? And does great reputation cover financial impropriety?

Comments reserved until the management counters these claims. . . Fight for your rights, but be sure you're actually right. I hope this is resolved soon; Xmas is upon us cheesy

I'm sure our dear hopeless tribalists including even insignificant ones such as slimghost, zeeayinita, Igbo Son and others will only comment on this thread by speaking from an inverted brain point of view.

They'll attack LASG not because they support the workers but to score cheap tribal points.

While the SW they are paranoid about never hesitates to protest against corruption and injustice; condoning it is their watchword. Nay, their own way of life.

Religion / Re: Did You Practice What Was Preached In The Church Last Sunday? by Pattey(m): 10:42am On Oct 27, 2013
NB: As applicable to Nigeria/Nigerians

Question: Practicing what is preached in church

Answers: Paying tithes and offering; mostly, Yes

Acting in accordance to morals; Mostly No!

As religious as Nigeria is, If Nigerians acted according to the words they hear not just on Sundays but on Fridays (and other coded times), will Nigeria still be this morally bankrupt? I think not.

Can I summarize by saying no-one "really" follows what is preached; at least not usually beyond the 1st few days after the preaching. Ok, MOST do not!

You're in church and waiting for service to end so you can corner the new chick and start a "brotherly chat", what can you practice from the sermon when you've started plotting your next adventure. . . Right under God's nose! cheesy

How many of the older people where you come from were educated in the SE/SS?. . . Maybe you need to be enlightened on how many came to attend schools especially Boarding in the west. . . Maybe you also need to be enlightened on how may SE/SS got University education (almost free) courtesy of South West. . .

Or was it your oyel Money that was used to establish OAU or even UI? Or the numerous Secondary Schools your ancestors couldn't access in the early days.

Use google to check the ages of Nigerian schools and see how your folks would have been educated if not for the cocoa money you now open your rotten mouth to call stinking. . .

Politics / Re: President Will Probe Minister Of Aviation — Presidency by Pattey(m): 1:44am On Oct 21, 2013
KenGali: Wondering what exactly they will be probing!!!!!?
Cause the price of the vehicles are very much accurate.

Dino Melaya and Sahara Reporters have been peddling falsehood about the Cars bought by the Minister of Aviation. I checked the price of the vehicles and realized that BMW Security Vehicles only provide used vehicle prices on their website. Brochures for new one can only be downloaded on request.

A Used 2006 BMW 760 Li High Security costs €175,000.00 or $239,000.00 Check the BMW link for pre-owned vehicles below
http://www.bmw-security-vehicles.com/security_vehicles/en/_teaserpool_2010/download/shared/pdf/offer_7series_2006.pdf at €175,000 Euros, which is $240,000.00

If the used vehicle cost $240,000.00 dollars, how can Sahara and Dino Melaya claim the new vehicles bought by the Minister of Aviation can be bought for $200,000.00
Who is lying profusely now to deceive the public.

Or let me guess, they could not decipher the difference between a used car and new vehicle.
Please stop peddling lies that you cannot substantiate!

Further
Here is a quote for a new BMW 760 Li Hi Security from people who will sell it to you, not misguided journalists
http://alpa-gatt.com/ALPa_GATTPage/VermietungVerkauf/F03Optimiert.pdf

the price excluding tax and logistics is 400,000 Euros, that is $547,000.00 Each

By the way my topic giving the real prices has been maliciously moved from politics to car talk section by nairaland just to continue spreading the falsehood. Check the link https://www.nairaland.com/1484333/dino-melaya-lies-used-bmw

Listening to yourself, so it sounds sane to pay about 800,000 for a car you have yourself claimed is meant to cost 547,000? About 200,000k i.e 32million naira will be for logistics etc abi? Did you have to go source a phoney site with over-priced goods?

CFCfan: Good job, ujoinme.
However, I haven't seen construction pics of the international terminal.

As for those who are blaming the Aviation minister for the recent aircrashes; remember that the NCAA is solely responsible for certifying the air-worthiness of planes in the Nigerian airspace. Therefore, all complaints on that should go to the NCAA.

I was under the impression you're one of the few people with functional brain WaveLengths on NairaLand. I refuse to be disappointed with you as it now seems you and your kind lose your senses at the altar of tribalism.

NCAA is responsible for itself including all Air Crashes, and the minister of aviation has no responsibilities in that regard. That's the summary of what you said. Replay that to yourself and if you still don't feel dirty upstairs, you can come back here to spew thrash.

So her responsibility is cosmetic make up for airports, not safety?

Would you (well I'm refering to other sane folks) believe I never thought she was Ibo; I've been under the impression she's one of dem South South people.

Thanks to all you tribal losers, I now know she's igbo, are U all happy now? Who gives a rats ass where she comes from?

Paranoia is killing you folks. With this Us versus Them mentality you keep taking around, when the chips are down once again like then, you'll lose several times over. Stop being cry babies desperate to make a mark only in negative contexts.

May God help you all

tjskii: Hello Pattey,

Your thread was opened in the celebrity section, while youngchoppey opened his in the foodsection, which was why we had no idea you posted the topic before his,we as mods take the issue of plagiarism very seriosly,so we would like to be absolutely sure, before taking any action, did you create this topic yourself?
I ask you this because I have seen this same topic posted in different blogs,e.g

http://tiwasblog.com/2013/10/pictures-koko-garri-vip-garri-manufactured-by-dbanj-and-don-jazzy.html

http://www.turkzconcept.com/2013/10/photos-koko-garri-by-dbanj-and-don.html?m=1

http://naijaofofo./2013/10/14/photos-koko-garri-vip-garrimanufactured-by-dbanj-and-don-jazzy/

So except you can prove that you were the individual who posted this topic on these blogs, the issue of plagiarism does not arise,(except on your part, seeing that you didn't quote the source of your article in the first place)

Does my write up look like a blog post? So you think everyone does copy and paste or what? I'll take that as sarcasm!

You can check ALL my posts, I'm an ethical writer and researcher, so I do not fail to attribute sources when needed.

Why not copy my post into google and see if any of those blogs you quoted will return my content? I think you should have done that before trying to get cute with this post; I can read between the lines!

It is good to see you write in order to expose your ignorance on the subject of protocol. Even a leaner can easily understood you are being economical with the truth or do not know the budget of ministry of aviation. Anybody who knows how departmental budget is being disbursed can deduce that N4.2bn for fleet maintenance can be economized.

I can not pretend to waste my time with you because it appears you have not played the budgetary game.

Oga Speak English! Why pay for the cars through NCAA instead of the Ministry whose CEO was to use those cars?
