Stylishcone: I really like what Dre did but as you know most American men are SIMPS & Beta's I pray the court does not favour her...you want to take away a man's sweat.
But l like to ask this is prenup only applicable to s man's property only, what if you marry a woman that us way richer than you . Prenups work for both men and women. So, if a man is seeking to divorce his wife - who is way richer than him - and they happen to have a prenup which stipulates that he will receive 50% of her assets/liabilities, a court will hold the prenup as valid and order that it be enforced. |
Foreign Affairs › Twitter Bans Trump Campaign From Tweeting Over COVID Misinformation by PDPGuy(op): 3:43am On Aug 06, 2020 |
Twitter has disabled the account of President Trump’s campaign until a post containing misinformation about the coronavirus is deleted, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.
The post in question shows a clip of Trump claiming during a Fox News interview that children are “almost immune” from COVID-19.
A spokeswoman with Twitter, Liz Kelley, told the paper that Twitter hid Team Trump’s video and that @teamtrump won’t be allowed to tweet until it is deleted.
Facebook deleted the same post from President Trump’s page earlier in the day, saying Wednesday that the “video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation.”
Twitter has been quicker than Facebook in recent months in labeling posts from the president that violate its policies against misinformation and abuse.
This was the first time that Facebook has removed a post from Trump entirely, rather than labeling it, as it has done in the past.
Several studies suggest, but don’t prove, that children are less likely to become infected than adults and more likely to have only mild symptoms. But this is not the same as being “virtually immune” to the virus.
A CDC study involving 2,500 children published in April found that about 1 in 5 infected children were hospitalized versus 1 in 3 adults; three children died. The study lacks complete data on all the cases, but it also suggests that many infected children have no symptoms, which could allow them to spread the virus to others. https://fox5sandiego.com/news/politics/report-twitter-bans-trump-campaign-from-tweeting-over-covid-misinformation/?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral |
Sports › Osimhen To Earn N34.4 Million Per Week After Taxes by PDPGuy(op): 7:24am On Aug 05, 2020 |
Victor Osimhen has become the most expensive African player of all time after sealing a record move to Napoli.
The Nigerian forward has joined the Neapolitan outfit for an initial €71.2 million but a further €10.1 million is guaranteed in add-ons, taking the overall fee to €81.3 million - as per French newspaper L'Equipe.
It eclipses the £72 million Arsenal paid to land Nicolas Pepe, who Osimhen then replaced in Lille's attack after the Ivorian's big-money move to the Emirates Stadium.
The former Wolfsburg man will earn between €4 million and €5.5 million (N1.79 billion and N2.46 billion) a year net without bonuses in Napoli -a huge wage increase from the €80,000 he was collecting monthly in France.
Belgium side Charleroi, Osimhen's former club, will receive €7 million from the transfer as a result of a sell-on percentage clause they inserted when he departed last summer. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportbible.com/football/news-victor-osimhen-becomes-the-most-expensive-african-player-ever-20200801.amp.html |

Celebrities › Dr. Dre Wife Challenging Prenup In $1 Billion Divorce by PDPGuy(op): 11:40pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Dr. Dre's wife is not getting divorced without a fight, because she's challenging their prenup and $1 billion is on the line.
Nicole Young just filed legal docs, obtained by TMZ, in which she claims she was forced to sign the prenup back in 1996.
Nicole says Dre is now worth $1 bil, and says before they tied the knot, "I was extremely reluctant, resistant and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner. Given the extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre, I was left with no option but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of Andre's team of professionals) and unwillingly signed the agreement very shortly before our marriage."
She then says 2 years into the marriage, "Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me. Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and that it was null and void."
Sources connected to Dre beg to differ, telling TMZ, he never expressed shame over the prenup and he never tore it up or said it was invalid. Our sources also say Nicole had her own lawyer and she had a clear choice on whether to sign or not.
Our sources say Dre has made it clear ... he will pay spousal support and all her expenses, but clearly Nicole wants a big piece of the pie, claiming he amassed most of his fortune during the marriage.
Nicole is asking the judge to separate the divorce from the prenup issue, but it looks like a fight is brewing. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.tmz.com/2020/08/04/dr-dres-wife-is-challenging-prenup-in-1-billion-divorce/ |

Politics › Before COVID-19, 75% Across Nigeria Lacked Money For Food by PDPGuy(op): 11:20pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, 66% of adults in sub-Saharan Africa reported that there were times in the past year when they did not have enough money for food that they or their family needed. This figure marks a new high in nearly 15 years of World Poll research on the subcontinent and the seventh consecutive year of increases since 2012 when 51% said they had lacked money for food that they or their family needed.
According to the FAO's 2019 report The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, conflict, drought, climate change and economic downturns have all contributed to the state of increased hunger in sub-Saharan Africa in recent years. This situation will likely be further compounded in 2020 by an economic slowdown resulting from COVID-19 and the worst locust swarms to hit East Africa in 70 years.
People are struggling to afford food in all corners of the African subcontinent, with 17 of 35 sub-Saharan African countries surveyed reaching new historical highs or matching previous highs on this measure. Among them are several of Africa's larger economies -- Nigeria (75%), South Africa (63%) and Ethiopia (57%).
In Zambia, where the worst drought in a century slowed famed Victoria Falls to a trickle, 82% of adults in 2019 reported not having enough money to buy food, the highest in sub-Saharan Africa and one of eight countries in Africa where at least three in four adults said they lacked money for food.
Zimbabwe, once a breadbasket of Africa, is also notable among countries on the subcontinent suffering from the most food hardship. Last year, 81% of Zimbabweans reported they did not have enough money to afford food, but as recently as 2011, 39% said the same. A confluence of weather events and economic mismanagement has contributed to rising food prices in the country, including a doubling in the price of maize, a Zimbabwean staple. Today, the World Food Programme estimates that half of Zimbabwe's 15 million people need food aid. These results are based on face-to-face and telephone interviews with approximately 1,000 adults in each country, aged 15 and older, in 35 countries in sub-Saharan Africa in 2019. For results based on the total samples, the margin of sampling error ranges from ±2.3 percentage points to ±4.0 percentage points at the 95% confidence level https://news.gallup.com/poll/316226/covid-across-africa-lacked-money-food.aspx |

We need defenders and a keeper abeg. If we cant get better, make Caballero no1. Cant stand this Spanish fraud in goal another season.
Forget Harvetz, he's luxury and not a need. Ziyech can play that AM and deliver. A commanding central defender is really a need! I agree to making Caballero No.1 for next season, loaning out Kepa, and bringing in a youngish (29 or younger) keeper who will take over from Caballero as from 2021-22 |

Politics › Senator Kamala Harris Seen As Biden VP Favorite by PDPGuy(op): 9:23am On Jul 27, 2020 |
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) is seen as the favorite as Joe Biden nears a decision on his vice presidential pick.
Harris would be the first Black woman and Indian American woman to be nominated on a major party's presidential ticket, and she battled with Biden memorably on the debate stage more than a year ago.
Harris wouldn't put a new state in play. She represents California, the largest electoral prize on the map but one that is completely safe for Democrats.
Yet many see her as the least risky pick for Biden, who is under pressure to select a woman of color as his veep, and someone who would be prepared to be president on day one.
"Knowing him, Kamala is the best pick for him," said one longtime Biden confidant. "Their politics are very similar. I would be surprised if it wasn't her."
"I'd be shocked if it was anyone else," the source added. "You're getting to the degrees of risk after that."
Still, sources say it's not as if Harris has the race locked up.
If Biden doesn't select Harris, it would come down to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) or former national security adviser Susan Rice, women the former vice president knows well, the confidant said.
Another source close to the campaign said Team Biden is giving Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) a serious look in the final days of deliberation. Bass leads the Congressional Black Caucus.
"The Bass thing is real," the source said, adding that if Harris was such a sure thing, the campaign wouldn't be testing other prospects. "In many ways, she's the easiest pick, even though she may not be the most obvious pick," the source said of Bass.
Bass appeals to progressives, who desperately want to defeat Trump but are lukewarm on Biden.
In an open letter written to Biden earlier this week, California delegates who supported Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during the primary listed Bass as someone on their short list.
Some strategists also think Biden should select someone who is outside his comfort zone. Joe Biden comes from the 'safe,' moderate wing of the Democratic party and I assume he's inclined to choose a VP who does, too," said Democratic strategist Christy Setzer. "But that's exactly the wrong instinct. Our base isn't centrist; they're progressive, and he needs to choose someone who excites them."
The RealClearPolitics national average of polls shows Biden with a lead of more than 8 points on President Trump. He also holds leads in key states including Florida, where a Quinnipiac University poll out on Thursday showed him beating Trump 51 percent to 38 percent.
The widening Biden lead in polls, some say, gives an edge to the candidates perceived as safe. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/campaign/508959-harris-seen-as-biden-vp-favorite-as-clock-ticks%3famp

Foreign Affairs › Poll: Millennials, Gen Z In Battleground States Want Biden To Pick Black Woman by PDPGuy(op): 3:14pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
Picking a Black woman to be his vice president could boost presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden with young voters, white women and other key groups, according to a new poll of likely 2020 voters in seven battleground states.
The poll, which was conducted by Democratic strategist Karen Finney and veteran pollster Cornell Belcher, found 60 percent of Millennial and Generation Z voters in key swing states say it’s important Biden pick a Black woman to be his running mate.
Similarly, a total of 54 percent of minority women and a plurality of white women and college-educated women agree it is important that a Black woman be chosen, according to the Brilliant Corners Research and Strategies poll provided exclusively to POLITICO. The groups could be key to providing a winning coalition for Biden come November in states that are likely decide the election.
Across all demographics, nearly half of battleground voters who aren’t currently supporting President Donald Trump agree it’s important to pick a Black woman, 27 percentage points higher than those who say it’s important for Biden to pick a white woman.
Commissioned by Higher Heights for America, an organization devoted to increasing the number of Black women in political office, the poll surveyed voters across Florida, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Belcher’s firm polled 802 registered voters 18 and older in battleground states but asked only those who are currently not supporting Trump — undecideds and those inclined to support Biden — about the vice presidential pick. It was conducted July 14-19 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/07/23/biden-black-women-veep-379460 |

magicminister: Okay, let me school you!! In US, if you owned the property before you guys got married, that property is yours. During divorce, it is not part of the settlement. Only thing that is split are things that were gotten within the marriage. The few exception are in states like Cali where there is a common law that means that half your shittt goes to her regardless of if it was gotten before or after marriage!
What i am trying to say is that if the court grants her ownership of the house and custody of the kids, that is because the house was gotten within marriage by either both of them or one of them!! With regard to the bolded, you’re partially correct. However, in CA, it is strictly funds in a joint account or property bought with community property (ie joint account or a combo of the man and woman’s separate money) that will be in contention to be split into half. However, in order to avoid a messy divorce, a prenup agreement stipulating that both parties will leave the marriage with only the stuff the brought into the marriage, will be deemed to be enforceable by the court. |
