Please fellow nairalanders, this is a true life story that happened to me and I really need your advice. The write up is long but please bear with me.
Am a student in one of the federal universities in the East. I graduated 2019 and due to covid 19 and little delay in my school, am yet to collect my statement of result but to God be the glory, am almost done with collecting that.
I am born into a family of four and am the third. I am also a Catholic.
Before I got admission into university, my Mum use to attend one Catholic prayer ministry like that. It happened that she took me to the ministry on this particular day. The woman heading the ministry saw me and said to me, young man, what is preventing you from being a priest. Both my Mum and I was shocked. She now asked me when I was small whether I had the intention of being a priest. I replied that people used to call me father but I really don't know if I choose that for myself coz I was little then. She then replied that mother Mary and her son wants me to be a priest. My mum and I brushed that aside and my mum assured me that anyone can serve God either as a priest or not.
I later got admission into the university and during one of the vacations, I got back home and one of my sister's friend came to our house. My sister told me that she sees in spirit and also prohesies to people and immediately she saw me entering the house, she called me aside and told me she is seeing me standing in the pulpit and talking to people. That I have a very bright star. She now asked me about my relationship with God and I told her the organ that I belonged to in the church and she now recommended that I should join choir.
Now two years ago we travelled to the village for Xmas, I went in to greet my grandma and she turned sharply to me and said( Bia nwokem, okwa I ma nga chie Father) which literally means, see young man, won't you go and become priest. I was really marvelled. She didn't even utter any word to me again.
Now fast forward to this particular year( 2021),I traveled back to school for my clearance. My friends are around too and we normally get high on alcohol and weed. Though I don't smoke but I eat food made with weed. So that particular day, we cooked with weed and Its effect pulled me down. On a norms, my head dey fit carry am but that particular day, the weed was more than the food.
It happened that they even had to carry me inside the bathroom and left the shower open just for me to be calm. I regained consciousness a little bit but was fighting inner battle with myself coz of the effect of the weed. I brought out my rosary with my prayer book and kept close to my head on the bed. My friends now deemed it fit to leave the room for me. As they left the room, it didn't even took five minutes they left and I entered into a trance. Everywhere became dark and I saw a bright light that lite up the room. It dragged me up from the bed and made me bow down to that light 3 times shouting; I WILL BE A PRIEST continuously. I was shouting that and at the same time bowing down to that bright light. I even removed my cloth and became fully naked and standing infront of our center mirror still in my trance state and said; I WILL BE A PRIEST, IF AM NOT A PRIEST OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, KILL ME LORD, I WILL SPEAK THE TRUTH (i said this part dragging out my tongue).
I also raised up my rosary and said; I WILL BE A PRIEST OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH and mind you, I said this words nonstop without blinking or pausing and the scary part, it took me to a reading table in my room and I took a pen and a piece of paper and it dragged me to the bed, sat me down, threw me up and then placed my hand with the pen on the piece of paper and wrote; I WILL BE A PRIEST.
Please friends, I didn't make this story up, both heaven and Earth will bear me witness. Immediately I wrote that, I got myself and lied on the bed and slept off. I woke up and by then my friends are now back and Lo and behold, I looked at my chest and saw that book on my chest with the write up bodly written on it. I explained my story to them still shocked and in the trance state a little bit and said to them, even if am not a priest and I got married, that I will never give birth.

The new pill does not cure or cut deaths...that's a lie, even the company doesn't claim so. They claim that the pill reduces the effects of Covid. So question is if the vaccine reduces the symptoms or effects of Covid, why is there need for a pill that isn't a cure. You believe in a lie that you are told and are aggressively defending it even when you have no access to a viable laboratory in your country.

You should know that it takes more than one year to develop a working vaccine. Covid19 is a novel illness according to them and they whipped up a therapy for you in three months. You are the test subjects and unfortunately you're not being paid for the human trial. How long did they test the pill, when did they announce works on the pill, who were those who took part in the human trials and what was the result.

You see what happens when people cut corners, its not only 21 stories that will fall to kill people. The fatality that the world is about to experience with these rushed gene therapy is going to be worse than an apocalypse. If you think people care about race or color when cutting the world population, think again.

Don't believe but I don't know why Christians do this sha. There is nothing like hell fire..there is a lake of fire but that comes after the final judgement. Nobody is burning in hellfire right now. They may be in Sheol, or the dimensions of the dead, or Abraham's Bossom (paradise not heaven) but certainly not hell fire.

Most dreams of hell fire are either memories from studying the scripture for long or a warning in our personal lives not to stray from the path of God. Seeing renowned pastors or people we know in hell or in heaven is completely false. The only exception is if the person in question has a history of going through dimensions but even at that it can't still be a hell fire because it does not exist. Hell may exist but not with the fire, again I repeat there is only one lake of fire and that is the second death.

You see where you're wrong..you are comparing the accounts of a movie or comic book character to reality. If we go by what you are saying then Aristotle, Plato and others are fictional characters.

There are historical accounts of the existence of Jesus Christ outside the Bible. Even historians will never agree with you that Jesus Christ is a fictitious character. There are many records that proved he walked the earth. All the disciples and everything that happened during their era, has record. You are forgetting that Jesus Christ existed at a time, people were literate and could read and write. It was not a remote village setting, please go and study history and stop arguing blindly on nairaland.

Anyway who wants to learn should be able to read wide and travel the ends of the earth to find the truth. Arguing back and forth without any practical approach is futile and fruitless.

You still don't understand me. I am not supporting any denomination. I am not saying that Christianity is the only true or pure way. I am telling you that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real. As for Christianity, it has evolved and been transformed in gazillion ways. It is corrupted and what we now a control system in the name of religion. Everything Jesus taught is in line with the old testament. However, the church system of today is something else. I am defending the gospel of Christ and not the religion of church.

Whether Judaism or Christianity, they are all man-made ideologies and they conform with man. They change and they come up with unexplainable practices, that is what Jesus came to abolish. The only thing that does not change is the word of God. When Jesus talked about the church, he was talking about you and I as the temple of God. He was not talking about creating branches or denominations. In fact he worshipped in the temple, where judiasm was practiced. He specifically said he had not come to introduce a new law or religion but to fulfill the prophecy or the word of God. In fact the term Christian, was coined as followers of Christ and not to mean a religion.

He brought the gospel to people who were not originally from Israel or according to the Bible gentiles. So its not a building, its not a church, its a relationship with God and his creators. Like I said again, study the history of religion, trace the history, I am not defending a church, I am talking about the gospel of truth.

The whole religion and jesus was created in Nicea by emperor Constantine, after they have argued for almost 2 years. There is nothing divine about it. God has got nothing to do with it. I have done a lot of research and still doing more. I have looked at it from every angle whether Hinduism, Islam, and other religions including freemasonry. I am telling you, that the new testament has nothing to do with idolatry. If Christianity has been corrupted, that I agree. Infact we have deviated from the true purpose of the religion and many have wielded its power to control people.

Yes Christianity has committed a lot of attrocities and even imbibed new age practices and idolatry. However, if you look at the new testament, you see how much it criticizes Judaism. All the disciples were persecuted and killed by the Jews including Jesus Christ himself.

They are the people of the law and were rightfully God's own people. However, their adolatory ways or practices and disobedience led them away from God. They don't like the way Christianity portrays them like the prodigal child. They were so fixated on the law and they were not even abiding by it. The Jewish people have a lot of questionable practices and trust me, when you find out you won't be all on their side. You should also find out why it became necessary for Jesus to fulfill the assignment he came to the heart to do.

Like I said, for a critical analysis of any religion, you have to look at every angle. I am not defending Christianity because I'm a Christian but because I am convinced it is the truth. I read literature, watch educational documentaries, look for old manuscripts and learn from different people's perspectives. Besides not all jews are against Jesus. They are actually divided and the Bible says many of them will still come to believe eventually.

I sincerely doubt if you have done any meaningful research. If you have you would have discovered that your Jesus is a made up character by the romans. The jews don't believe in Jesus because they understand that it would be idolatry. God never at any time through any prophet tell them that he was sending his son to come to earth. To them God is one. No partner . Isreal itself was God first son. He already told them "do not have any other God before me, which means no intermediary. Do not make the image or likeness of anything in heaven , on earth or under the water below the the earth. Do not bow down to them or serve them. Then he will turn around and send a man for them to worship. Something that is found on earth. Does it make any sense to you. Or having told them "thou shall not kill" then he would be expecting a human sacrifice...makes no sense to me. God has already provided a solution to the problem of sin in 2nd Chronicles 7:14. All he requires is confess and forsake and he would forgive....so I wonder where John, Paul, Mathew, Mark or Luke got the idea from in the new testaments from?

No, my belief is born out of conviction. I understand my belief and I know why I choose to follow it. I'm not a person who easily accepts things and I consider myself a very argumentative person. However, I chose my belief because I am convinced it is true. I still continue to learn more about it and investigate it. I don't take things just because a pastor says so or because the religion says so. I go deeper and I look for answers.


The Jews don't believe in Jesus and Apostle Paul mentioned it in Romans. The same reason is simply because people follow a book from page to page and forget that it contains the realities of life. Even when some people including Christians stare at the Messiah face-to-face, they will still argue scripture and deny him.

The truth is if you understand the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, you will understand that it is not the same as slaughtering a goat. Jesus Christ came to the world to share the truth about God. He wanted people to know that it was easy to relate with God and have a close relationship with him.

The Pharisees were extorting people like we have pastors today doing the same thing. The sacrifice Jesus made can be compared to the sacrifices freedom fighters make in the world today. Nobody wants to hear the truth and when someone speaks up, they are silenced. Jesus brought truth and that was why he was killed, it was a sacrifice because he knew that he would be killed for what he would share to the world.

The fact of been saved by is sacrifice is what a lot of Christians misconstrue. With the that sacrifice, we can seek repentance to God directly, why because we know the truth. We know that God is not hard to reach. We don't need to make sacrifices in some temple or fill the bellies of priests, or Pharisees to get God's pardon. If you read through the history of the practices of the Jewish Pharisees, you will see why they hated Jesus. He abolished their practices and made people see that they were being deceived.

So I'll advise you when studying or trying to criticize Christianity, look at all angles of religion, and try to understand their dynamics. You will eventually be able to point out the truth. There are lots of references, from history books and not only the Bible that brings a wider truth.

@22jumpstreet....well if you don't believe in the second coming that's on you. If I believe that's on me too. What if all of this happens to be true and you find out at the last minute..how would you feel?

If you feel you are much clever than the generations of Christians that have believed in the Messiah. The fact that you don't believe doesn't make you right..and the fact that I believe doesn't make me right either. However, I think we should all respect each others belief and stop trying to convince people that they are stupid.

If you don't know where you were before you were formed in your mother's womb or don't know where you are going after you are dug in the grave, you don't have any right to tell people that their beliefs don't matter.

Well people pray to avert disasters because not all are meant to be. Some accidents or deaths are not natural. I think prayers are spiritual and are meant to combat spiritual events or things...if it is a natural event, it will certainly happen.

If a disaster is going to happen and is caused by suspicious or spiritual forces, your prayers will prevent such plans from taking place.

@HardMirror.... I don't know what you're driving at but if I go by what you say, it means everyone should be saved and nobody should ever die.

Well the cycle of life is that we live and we die. Some deaths can be avoided especially in this case if the builder hadn't cut corners. However, it happened and people died in it. I don't think God is going to save every freak accident or even people who die of natural causes.

I believe that when people are saved, it just means it's not the end of their road. As for if those who died are saved, yes if they repented and prayed before their passing.

Death is not the end, it may be the end of their journey here on earth but it is just the beginning. And God answers prayers, however, destiny happens. Everyone has an appointed time... please know that and God bless you.

This your dream got me digging. Apparently there is a two year plan to restructure/reform the Catholic Church by the Pope Francis. There is a lot of controversy about this reform and not many people are welcoming it. It will come in three phases from this year through 2023.
There will be a one month long synod of bishops at the Vatican in October, 2023 which will be for the universal stage. This is where the resolution of the two year reform will take place. Probably a signing of a document who knows since all bishops from around the world will be present at the Vatican.

Also, on another note, they plan on completing the Abrahamic worship Center in Abu Dhabi next year...the one with the mosque, church and Jewish temple in one place. I don't know how that fits or if it's part of the reform just thought to mention.

I guess we have two years of gathering ahead of us.

South is not North... every family in the south has a mixture of Christian, Muslim and even atheists. People are looking for how to make it and someone thinks South is all about religion. Even the Ileya meat, some people have already booked down their appointment. Mtchew professor indeed.

You see where you're wrong, first of all this vaccine has not gone through all the safety processes vaccines undergo. In fact this is the second time in history that a vaccine has boycotted due process, the first time didn't go well and it was recalled after a lot of damage had been done. The alarming rate of adverse reactions is enough to cause worry. As of today nobody knows the long term effects of this vaccine. That's enough to make people hesitant. If you go through the history of vaccines, you will understand why a lot of people are sceptical at first. Maybe in a few years time people will trust it but now I don't think so.

Again the vaccine is not free anyone who tells you that is lying to you. Besides we are going to be paying 6k per dose in Nigeria very soon for it. As per being free, using tax payers money to pay for the vaccine does not equal to free. It means money is taken somewhere and going into accounts.

You said you don't mind wearing facemasks till eternity, do you know the health implications of continuous facemask wearing? Do you know that for that few hours you have it on, the amount of carbon dioxide you are inhaling is enough to kill you? Anyway, its not a choice when the government insists that people won't be able to work or get access to basic things or even prevent their travel. That's not a choice.

You can't advocate for a treatment that has completely failed. If the vaccine can't protect you from Covid or prevent transmission, how do we really eradicate this pandemic? There is a lot of concern and I wish our African leaders and scientists can investigate this. This people can't keep tossing things to us and we just take it.

And about keeping people on drugs to make profit... Its good you worried about that too but you not paying for this jab. Its free. The WHO, your governments and different agencies are paying for this. Its left for us to take the vaccine. Its a terrible experience contracting covid-19 and saying I had it 3x I'm not gambling contemplating on taking the jab.

Some had it once and lost it, some survived it twice and still won't take the jab. Its all a choice.

My people perish for lack of knowledge. If you don't understand why and how things are done, then your best bet is to go into deep research. Take dive into the history of theology and religion. You see one of the problems we have in this last days is how Christians turn against each other.

It was the same thing that happened during the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some people were so fixated on the old testament that they argued their way even when they saw the Messiah. They refused to acknowledge him, they charged him with blasfemy, false religion and all sorts of accusations.

Today, its either an argument against Catholic church or Jehovah witness saying nobody except them are the true Christians. We turn against each other and we condemn ourselves. We as the body of Christ are supposed to learn from each other, grow in faith and be led by the Holy Spirit. Instead we play Judge and Executioner. How can the Holy Spirit be in conflict? God is not an author of confusion. It is not in your place to judge people's religious practice. Serve your God in the way you understand instead of playing critic to other people's worship practices.

I am Catholic and proud. I do not worship any image or symbol. I understand my church's practices and traditions. I will tell anyone who is interested in knowing why these traditions exist, to go and deepen their knowledge and understanding.

At least it is the same Bible that is in front of you where Jesus broke the bread and said this is my body giving to you for the forgiveness of sins. He told his disciples to do this tradition in rememberance that he shed his blood for our sins. The Holy Eucharist is not an idol it is a symbol of the blessed sacrament, of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. When you see a silver and gold object, people connect with Christ on the cross and make their supplications. They do not worship the blessed sacrament, instead they are reminded of the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross. It may make no sense to you but again what do we know, if you don't seek the truth, how do you know it? Instead you open pages of the Bible and be arguing like a blind Christian. A true Christian will seek answers. Enough said, have a blessed week.

@MiamiePizza, good for you. Not everyone was lucky. Anyway I'm sure it's your choice but I'm very sure you know its not the vaccine that protected you from the virus. Again, it doesn't work but I guess this days vaccine means different things for different people. I'm hoping they find a permanent cure. Besides how do you feel about taking shots every 6 months. I don't think I take anything other than malaria drugs every 2-3 years.

Besides, what if they invent another virus, will we keep sticking stuff in our arms? Like if I were you I'd be bothered that about that. When you don't have diabetes or some long term illness where you have to depend on drugs. Are you still going on masks? Cos I don't get if that's the new fashion even after vaccination.

Anyway, the controversy around this disease, its vaccine is why I'm not going anywhere near it. At least not for now and I don't think hell or mark of the beast is what we should be worried about. First, learn the Truth of God so you can more knowledgeable understand which experiences are of Him and which are not of Him. That is how wisdom approaches the things of God. It is by Knowing the Truth of God - not by having your so-called experiences that one is set free from lies and deceit - John 8 vs 31 - 44

Having a personal encounter with God has nothing to do with personal whims or how I feel. If I feel anything now, it's I want ice cream or to satisfy a personal goal.


However, when you study the word of God and also experience the word of God come to life, that is the connection we have with God. We are God's creation and we are connected by spirit. Our interaction is by spirit and not by personal whims. You can't tell if I follow the word of God or live by his laws on naira land. However, telling you to connect with God in spirit is the duty of every Child of God. So please go and experience God. Allow the Holy Spirit guide you and for once in your life stop arguing.

4. What are the short term and long term extreme adverse effects? Are the adverse effects been recorded in Nigeria?

5. What if a person experiences myocarditis, what health packages are available to Nigerians who suffer extreme adverse effects?

6. What is the current state of our health system in the country? Will there be compensation in case of death or serious injury from the vaccine?
